Well the anime gained him alot of fans, especially from the west, and it was the anime and all the fans it brought in that made Isayama first say he is changing his original ending, which the manga delivered.
Alwaystryhard has a good theory about falco being the new attack Titan and that would make the series slap so hard because he used that one part of Eren and falco talking in Marley under that tree (which could be foreshadowing them in paths). And basically since falco is the only Marleyan who understands Eren even a little because the time he spent being his errand boy and the conversation he witnessed between Reiner and Eren, it would make sense that falco does nothing to stop or perhaps even supports the rumbling. He and gabby are the only characters who become unbrainwashed and realize paradisians aren’t devils.. idk it would give good boy falco a bigger and better role in the story so I hope both you and ATH are right. i think it's utterly stupid for an author to ruin his manga just to make a kino ending for the anime but i just refuse to believe that he actually chose to end his manga that way. there has to be something else. someone like isayama cant do this. i cannot accept it i- sigh
All of these AOE ending theories are all well and good, but the fact remains Season 4 Part 1 had some AnR scenes cut. Some AnR scenes were left in, but these are the ones that would require redrawing scenes or changing the dialogue, and Mappa already doesn't have a lot of time to produce the season. Additionally in post-139 interviews, Isayama is now contradicting what he said over the past decade and says this was always the ending. If this was the "hurt" he wanted to make his fans feel, then he would've left those scenes in. I think the fact of the matter is the ending was changed for some reason, and the anime will have the story changed to match the changed ending. As for your theory, I think it's more likely Yams wanted that Falco scene added because he thought it would alleviate some confusion. I was personally a bit confused with chapter 91 since we haven't seen any of these characters before. With the ending we have now it's just another plothole, but the ending is full of them. Isayama isn't the detail-oriented author he used to be. The Warhammer was for nothing, transferring consciousness was for nothing, Historia's character was for nothing, The Rumbling was for nothing, Eren Yeager's character was for nothing, and this Falco scene will be for nothing. I'd love to be wrong, but I don't think this change has any greater meaning.

Many people are saying this is a fourth wall break, I agree, to a point. It is a meta-reference to kind of poke fun that the anime has such a huge perspective shift from S3 to S4. However, I think there is a legitimate reason to say that this can point to an AOE. I don't think this is future Falco with the Attack Titan sending memories to his past self, but I think it is actually much more likely to be future Eren sending his own memories to Falco, like we saw he can do at the end of the manga. I don't know when or why, but I believe Falco will remember what memories were shown to him at some point in S4P2, likely it will be after he gains the Jaw, and likely it will make him join Eren's side. Or you know it could be a complete Yams asspull

The way I view this scene after the manga ended is that Isayama was just foreshadowing that Falco will get a titan power (the jaw titan) and that when he'll get the jaw titan he'll see the memories of Ymir. The scene where he talks about that dream is just Isayama foreshadowing it to us, Falco didn't really get memories from freckles Ymir. It's like Isayama is giving a message, a foreshadowing through Falco's character

Skips the usual OP. Final scene before the credits is the scarf bird. The credits show a montage of Paradis throughout the decades as the titan tree grows. Post-credits scene is "Beren" & dog finding the titan tree's vagina.

I have found more evidence to back up your theory that eren actually wakes up in different timelines and that we will get a aoe. I noticed that the Part in S4 E1 where Falco is shown is completly different. In the Manga: He asks why his brother wears the clothes that he wears. Meaning, in the timeloop before, his brother was never a soldier (because eren lived his live with mikasa and died to the yimir curse 138). In the Anime: He doesnt bother about his brother and rather thinks to himself that he himself was a titan and shit. Meaning the falco waking up to different timelines. 1. Timeline (before Manga) - Eren Ymir curse dead -> falco brother is not a soldier 2. Timeline (Manga) - Eren kills 80% -> Falco wondering about his brothers clothes. Falco becomes a titan later, therefore in this timeline it wasnt possible that he thinks about beeing a titan. 3. Timeline (Anime)- Falco remembers to be a titan rather then wondering about his brothers clothes I hope i could write it as understandable as possible since my english is not the best and I just want to get out there
I think that we're headed for a timeline theory. Mikasa looped Eren to prevent Eren from death but Eren always died instead of the manga. In the manga, Eren could have lived if Mikasa didn't kill him herself, ending the looping herself. That's why there is no See you later Eren in the anime because, Mikasa can't loop Eren anymore. If Eren dies, she'll never see him again. Eren is free from her loops
Where does the assumption that Falco saw future memories come from? Falco most likely saw freckles Ymir’s memories. Also, Eren sending future memories to Falco of all people is a huge leap. What reason could Falco have to support the rumbling.
