Some might call it "inconsistency", but it seems funny that they tried making it look like paradis got destroyed in the very far out future, yet the canon shooters still looked like a 90s model
That's problem only in anime. It's damage control. They wanted to create the impression that the destruction of paradis was very distant from the rumbling incident.
@@EzBlitzzz Something to keep in mind is that every single attack titan has been going through the will of Eren since before Eren was born(Eren is the last one of the attack titans), even himself. If you go back and look at the conversion that Kruger had with Grisha, the words Kruger said about “restoring the freedom for eldia” or something like that is because of Eren, and so are a lot of other words that Kruger said. Kruger also says to Grisha how “in every era, the attack titan has always fought for freedom” which is what Eren also fought for. If you want to know how Eren was able to manipulate things, he did it all from the paths and through memories(Mikasa is able to have her memory wiped and manipulated because she is only immune to memory manipulation from the founding titan and not immune to memory manipulation from the paths). Eren used the founding titan in him to command the attack titan in him to send memories into the past and was able to manipulate the memories of all eldians(not sure if he is only able to do eldians but considering it is through the paths probably only eldians) Eren manipulated himself and was like the director of his whole life without knowing why he was going in the direction he had been until he started the rumbling and all the other past attack titans also were influenced by him. There seems to be stuff about either different timelines, one in which Eren has both the founder and attack titan and Ymir grants him power but he isn’t successful in carrying out the rumbling and stuff(for example, the manga and anime are supposed to already be different timelines and have been since season 1 even though almost the exact same things happen in both). Either way the Eren that directed his own life is not the same as the Eren that we see all upset and sobbing because of how they ever thought genocide was okay. Eren was walked down a path to the ending from the beginning(he literally says “I’ll destroy the entire world” in his fight with Annie in season 1). I don’t know how to explain everything but he isn’t calling himself and idiot for no reason like most people think.
Eds saying how Eren never changed and how he was always the same yet the ending shows him saying Armin will unite the world and he will be the common enemy yet when talking to Pixis the he know humanity will never unite against a common enemy, this is yet another retcon on that trash ending if Eren never changed and never thought humanity will ever fully unite behind a common enemy, why was the ending him hoping for just that.
@@lincolnhaldorsen5649 The 80% of the world dying thing would have been done by Marley if not for him so yes. He also technically did free Ymir from her curse and made every eldian that was a titan back to normal people or something(I still have trouble with that part) but yea.

A perfect mastermind that will give THE good ending ? You should remember what Eren Kruger said about such stupidities as miracles and demonic things, at the end of Season 3 to Grisha. Nothing hurt me that much like this ending legit I was feeling so sad reading that piece of shit 2 years ago. And when last chapter got animated I still dont have courage to witness same feelings
I just realized that since actually the final talk between eren and armin in patha happened when armin was in the ship. That means that when eren was crushing billions like Ramzi all of them dying in a brutal way. instead of having remorseful, sad, guilty thoughts. eren was having the pathetic breakdown about mikasa finding another man. Holy shit eren's character is bad!
Maybe but I thought the conversation was one that had happened long before the rumbling started? You could be right tho in which case I don’t know how to feel about it yet and I will probably think about this more.
@@biggamer7245 When the talk between eren and armin ended we were shown that armin's memory were erased And he was in the ship. During that scene we were shown that at the same time. Ramzi and millions like him were being crushed to death. Which means that during the time when eren and armin talked in real world eren was crushing millions with collosal titans.
@@sakshambengale1895 Ok, I do find that a bit odd but idk how it could be explained so maybe it is just his character being bad. Maybe we could say that it had been a long time since Eren was able to actually talk with someone about how he felt and Armin punching and yelling at him about Mikasa was enough to make him break down. Eren also sees the past, present and future at the same time so that probably could at least explain why his mind could drift(at least it seemed to drift somewhat) from the horrible genocide he was committing. I do want to say though that the point you have brought up is probably one of the best criticisms I have seen of the ending and especially if that whole conversation was confirmed to have happened during the rumbling. I personally don’t think it makes Eren’s character bad or ruins his character but it is still so odd and I don’t think we could explain it much more than(as Eren said) his brain being all messed up. I don’t want to act like that isn’t bad overall but there are probably some things that could possibly explain that behavior and now I kinda wish that the author could have just like, scooted that convo to being something confirmed before the rumbling(or at least before Eren killed anyone) cause I think that would have been a change that wouldn’t have been a big deal to make but that is my opinion.
@@sakshambengale1895 Also wait, doesn’t time not exist in the paths just like how death also doesn’t exist in the paths? I’m not trying to say that it justifies Eren crying over Mikasa like that but that would mean that even if the conversation was during the rumbling and after many people had been killed, no one was being killed during that conversation since time wasn’t moving. That would definitely make a lot more sense in my opinion.
@@biggamer7245 You are right about time being different in paths. But still eren was still midway in rumbling during their talk is true. Perhaps people weren't getting slaughtered live during their talk. But they were being slaughtered moments before and after the talk Still though you are right. I feel like an ending were the rumbling just kills everyone and Eren running away to experience true freedom would've been more satisfying that what we got
Ok, but him staying alive would be in line with if Erwin stayed alive. Both him and Erwin did what they could for humanity but many people died because of their actions. Of course the amount of people that died due to Eren were on a much more catastrophic scale but even if you think that would be a good ending, what would be the point. Eren is a slave to freedom and he would never experience it and that is especially set after the rumbling. He never wanted to kill everyone that he did but it was like the only option that was best for the people of paradis and the only option that would be able to end the curse of Ymir, and if he had stayed alive after doing all of that who is to say that he wouldn’t have offed himself just like Reiner almost had. AOT was never meant to have a happy ending and although what you are saying sounds simple and good, it doesn’t fit or make sense, and would not play out the way you pictured it. Also I mean he still would end up dying sometime after because of his 13 years except that fate of dying would apply to Armin, Reiner, Annie and Falco as well so instead of Eren dying and being able to give his friends and everyone long lives, which is one of the things he wanted, he would just be allowing the burden of titans to continue, so either way, Eren would have died and he never would have experienced true freedom.
Give me vanilla! Kill the warriors, destroy marley, go home! All the war is a never ending cycle shit can still happen. Add additional spice or w/e if you really want to. But you can't leave Annie, Reiner, Pieck, and Gaby free and alive with zero consequences - it sends the worst message at a really bad time for the real world.

Sometimes I wish that common sense would be more of a thing in AoT (especially finale) than just assuming things. if its not built up then its not organic but forced. We deserve a better Eren then what we got.
I feel like the common sense thing is easy for us to say since we aren’t in the situation of that world or it’s people but I don’t think it would have made sense if Eren and his character were different. Based on the fact that he has been seeing everything including the rumbling since he was a child I don’t think he was ever meant to be a character that wouldn’t go on with the rumbling. There were two paths and I believe he chose the one that was most true to himself. AOT is meant to be a harsh and dark show and I personally can only thank Isayama for what he has created.
@@biggamer7245 I get that, but people always take IRL as the bases for this fictional world. Which started with "kill or be killed" as Eren stated at the start. So no, I don't believe a guy who can kill babies and his mother can be the same person who simps for his adopted sister and just don't know why he did it is not an answer. Imagine if all the darkest characters in fiction said the same thing as Eren ... you would laugh fr. Yams tried to reverse his story by the end to back to the start, which doesn't make sense.
@@mooncrow2447 Sorry for such a long response, I am quite a weird person so I sometimes make responses that are super long because I am a fast typer and end up getting carried away sometimes if I feel strongly enough about stuff: I get what you are saying, and yea, we could say that “he did it because he is an idiot” or “he did it because that is the future he saw” or “he did it because it was his destiny” or a whole other number of things. And it could be that maybe Eren is just a type of character that we haven’t seen much and did it for nothing or maybe the author had felt so much pressure from being the author of a huge and massive show and maybe that pressure brought him to putting some questionable things into the story as well as how some parts played out especially at the end. The “kill or be killed thing” maybe sounds funny and probably would also sound funny if other fictional villains or evil characters said stuff like that depending on the context tho, in which case I think it fits in well enough with AOT. Also when it comes to taking the IRL bases, I mean, it’s not like we could do much else to try and understand other than asking the author and seeing what he has to say. It is probably different based on the person tho, like for me, I will usually try to put myself in the position of a character or world if I want to really understand something that I don’t(unless if the author’s explanation is enough for me). AOT did not have even close to a perfect ending and we can definitely criticize a ton of things but I just enjoyed watching it and am glad to have been here till the end. I have grown up with the show and it was a part of my childhood(I was in middle school when I first saw season 1 sometime in 2014) which is definitely not true for everyone, but I just can’t complain much about it and am one of the satisfied viewers. Also that is the first time I have heard anyone call Isayama “Yams,” do people usually call him that? Made me laugh a bit although I don’t know if it is offensive to laugh over that.

@@bloomWF There are definitely a lot of confusing things, you are not wrong about that, but when you say full antagonist you mean making him a clear antagonist from he begining rather than someone we as viewers would grow to care about?
@@biggamer7245 Ahh no, my bad. By antagonist I mean, when him and Armin have their heart to heart talk I would rather Eren be “too far gone”. Because I do agree that Eren should pass away, I would like it to kind of be like the story of Moses. Where he sees the promised land (reached his goal) but can’t enjoy or bask in it because he’s taken out by the people he was doing it for. @@bloomWF Ok, that does make sense but since he was going to erase Armin’s memory of their conversation anyways I though it was ok. @@annett_55555 It’s not like I’m going to say “I know,” it’s just that in *my* opinion I feel that the ending was more along with Eren’s character than against his character(or ruining his character). @@biggamer7245 Fuck this Eren character was about the rage against being subjugated, rage against those trying to take his freedom, the determination to do whatever it takes to fight so he can win and not lay down and alloy himself to give up and die, Eren character was a inspiration, to reduce him to just a whiny and stupid 19 years boy is a insult to him and the fans of who were inspire by him.
@@Plsc1994br I have watched AOT enough to see his character and he doesn’t seem much different to me. If you are against him wining than your own perception of him probably fooled you into thinking that he is supposed to be cool or that he changed during the four years he spent in Marley. Also I think people get confused about Eren and “future Eren”, they are still the same except future Eren reached the paths and basically rewrote the timeline into one that would turn out the way that we have seen it, with the rumbling and everything. But since he rewrote the timeline, there is still only one timeline, and that is the timeline that we watch young Eren go through with Dina eating his mother, and that is the only timeline in the anime we are watching. So future Eren made the timeline(that he wanted) in a way that the rumbling would happen but so that he could make his friends look like heroes and so that Mikasa would kill Eren which would result in Ymir’s curse(no more titans) and all of that stuff. So basically, future Eren manipulated the whole life of his young self into walking down a certain path(the rumbling) and Eren(the one we see throughout the show) didn’t realize what he had done until he reached Ymir’s power but it was also hard for him to accept put into words that he wanted the rumbling. That goes to show that no matter what Eren does he will always be a slave to freedom because he made himself walk down that path. Eren does not know all of this until he reaches the paths and gets Ymir’s power, and he still does want the rumbling and all, just that he is disgusted with how he could ever have wanted that and how he could carry out that. Also if you took Eren’s character as an inspiration(not sure how someone does that) you probably thought AOT was a shonen anime like Black Clover or Bleach or Naruto or something like that. Like I said tho, it’s our own perceptions of Eren that make us see him the way we do, if you were inspired for some reason(and him being whiny about not wanting to walk down the path he has been forced to and the things he wanted is what made everything bad?) than that has to do with you, if how Eren acts isn’t an insult to his own character in your opinion than that is something based on how you saw him. I also feel like paying attention to how much of the future Eren knew of when throughout each part of the series is important and that it is also important to know how the attack titan works and what it’s power really is as well as a bunch of other things because I feel like a lot of people thought the Eren we watch grow up knew the future since he was a child or something like that and there are a lot of misconceptions that make people think the way everything went is dumb. Also there are a ton of questions that we are left with after the final season which makes people think the author retconned the ending since it doesn’t explain much but there are ways to explain a lot of it on our own with what we have been given throughout the series.
There's shows that have bad endings, but you can still appreciate it after the ending. You can not do this with AOT. That's how garbage the ending is. The ending ruins the entire show.
That kind of depends on the person, if you think the ending ruined the whole show then idk what to say cause I thought it was a not perfect but fitting end. If it ruined the ending for you then I am sorry to hear that but I love tf out of this show and probably won’t stop blabbering about how much I love it it. I can guess why you are saying it ruined the entire show but then again the ending will be taken differently between different people, if you get everything about it, understand all of it, and you think it ruined the whole show, then I guess that is just your own experience and will probably be the experience of some others as well.
@@biggamer7245 if you really sit down and watch it again it kinda does considering Eren killed his own mom for his own trauma and hatred towards titans which is bs because we already know he was already motivated to join the scouts anyways. That’s like if Batman went back in time and killed his own parents to become Batman that wouldn’t make a lick of sense.
@@boppinboyz I get what you are saying but I have watched AOT again a lot, I have re-watched the first season 3 times, re-watched second season 2 times, re-watched third season 1 time, and I can’t wait to watch every season all together again. That stuff about Batman would make sense but this is Eren we are talking about. Also Eren didn’t go back in time to kill has mother tho, he caused that to happen when he was still a kid(nvm he did go back in time technically it was stupid for me to say he didn’t and I realize my mistake now), it still makes sense tho if he did go back in time to do that because his mother dying was definitely an event that had to happen whether he caused her death or not.
This is my reckless assumption but I think somewhere along the lines (probably when the rumbling was activated) Isayama realized he made Eren too powerful to be stopped so he created multiple reasons as to Eren "lost". Also, I made a video months ago on a possible way Eren could have saved Paradis without killing the rest of the world (or most of it). Basically it's Eren going full defense instead of offense.
Whether Isayama decided to make Eren the one to do an event like the rumbling or not 80% of the world would have still been would have still been killed. It’s just that it would have been done by Marley, so there was already a way for Eren to have not done the rumbling but the event of 80% of the world being killed was unstoppable and Eren knew that. Also when it comes to Eren losing, one of the things that I haven’t heard many people talk about is the past titans that Eren had created. Eren allowed the past souls of Berthtoldt, Grisha, Ksaver, Porco, Marcel, and Ymir(and maybe some more but I can’t remember) regain control of their own titans and I think that is something Eren intended to do with his power. So yes, although Eren was really powerful I think the author probably wanted him to stay powerful while also making Eren assist in his own death. Ymir also probably wanted to witness Mikasa killing Eren and that was important for ending the curse, which was one of Eren’s goals so that his friends could live long lives. So yes, Eren was made into a very powerful character, one so powerful that he was able to use his power to cause a really catastrophic event, but he also would have been able to use some of his own power to ensure that he would be able to be stopped. In my opinion that is the way it makes the most sense to me for now, also I do know that the author had changed parts of AOT over time but once he was sure Eren had to be the one to kill 80% of the world, he probably came to the conclusion that he wanted to make Eren dying more of something that Eren himself would have some control with rather than something that was only caused by everyone that went against him.
I agree this was an assumption I made as well. It goes back to Naruto when Kishimoto had said he made Madara too powerful and he didn't know how to kill him

I still don’t know if they could be 100% correct but the way they tied everything together made sense to me and it includes understanding the theme of Eren never changing and has a ton of great points as well as facts that we already have been given that are supportive to their explanations: ua-cam.com/video/H6GmVCD7cxk/v-deo.htmlsi=l7OzuZ1iNzsOfmu7

Off topic but I'd like to talk about another character full of contradictions in the final episode Just think about it: Isayama managed to create a silent character, with ZERO dialogue and ZERO monologue but still explore her backstory, struggles, suffering, mystery around her motivation, set such amazing parallels between her, the mc, historia, freckled Ymir, zeke and frieda only through her emotions and actions, symbolism and visuals, he connected it with aot's themes and its lore. He managed to write THIS... so she, ymir fritz, got to be destroyed by 3 (symbolism🤪) gd lines ("only Ymir knows...", "ymir loved the king fritz" and "she was waiting for mikasa") Just... why? WTH? FOR WHAT? Where do I begin? Well, her love for the king... Firstly, no way it's Stockholm syndrome cuz this shit works differently. So, no. Secondly, WHEN did she start to develop feelings for him? Before freeing the pigs? After their marriage? After getting pregnant? When? Thirdly, WHY does she have affection for her husband? He ruined her life in every way, he abused her physically and mentally, he did the same thing to their children but she... Uh, ok, let's see (as if we can). If she loves him, why does she disobey him by freeing the pigs and not regenerating? Why doesn't she smile or isn't happy when he's around? Why does she want him dead instead of her and regrets not letting fritz die? If she regretted this whole time, doesn't it mean she already put herself and her daughters above her husband so the titan curse could end sooner? Now, ymir and mikasa... Their connection has NO buildup. It's never hinted at something common between these two throughout the entire show. The Ackerman's headaches had no allusion to the goddess. So why mikasa? What about this woman made fritz choose her? The fact she was an Ackerman? Or the person who was able to kill the love of her life? Um, couldn't ymir find someone else, like, sooner, 282 years ago for example, among millions of people, within 2000 years? Or it's because mika killed the founder when it separated from the hallucigenia? How does mikasa know her headaches are caused by ymir messing with her head if eren didn't tell her about that? Who knows, who cares... Why even show so many well-written parallels between ymir fritz, eren, historia and freckled ymir if they have no payoff? Why does Ymir find herself in mikasa but not historia whom she has much more in common with? Historia is a better version of her, so why not wait for reiss? For what reason does she pick a girl with no dignity, self-respect and ability to move on or grow up? How are her relationship with fritz and eremika bond even similar? Eren didn't treat mikasa the way fritz treated his wife. Eren saved and freed mikasa, that tyrant enslaved and turned his woman's life into a nightmare. The mc and the king are complete OPPOSITES just like mika and ymir. What would she do if mikasa suddenly changed her mind and didn't kill eren? Wait for 2000 years for someone again? How can mikasa help her move on from the king if ackerman didn't move on from eren herself? Next, if Ymir was the one to make titans in paths, who made her titan? Was the hallucigenia a separate organism or was it connected to fritz after giving her titan powers? If it wasn't connected to her, then why did it disappear instead of trying to find a new holder? Why was it trying to find one at first but vanished after Eren's death? So the founder's death affects it? Then the hallucigenia should have died when Ymir died. But they're not connected, are they? Or the opposite? Ugh... Why did the founder split into 9 titans? Why not 6 or 27 or 3 if she had 3 daughters? If maria, rosa and shina were able to get their mom's power at the same time, does that mean both erwin and armin could eat berthold and become shifters together? And if these 3 ate the founder, shouldn't every descendant of the royal family possess it? Whose child inherited the founder? Rosa's? Maria's? Shina's? Or all simultaneously but after that it split into 9 titans? How did fritz know about the way of passing titan powers to new holders? Was Ymir dead when he fed her to their daughters? If she wasn't, then her power should have been given to a newborn eldian. If she was, then she allowed the king chip her into pieces and saw her daughters eat her? Is that even possible to stay alive after getting cut into so many pieces? If she can rewrite her people's dna, that means she can lengthen their lifetime or make them invulnerable or immortal? Can she provide them with armor appearing out of their bodies or weapons out of the air? Or just stop them from turning into titans? About paths... I refuse to talk about how they work. I would take one more paragraph Additionally, whose side is Ymir throughout the story on? On fritz's, who planned to build Eldian empire? Or on Zeke's and Karl's who wished to end this empire's existence and wanted her descendants to die? Or on Eren's who tried to save some of them? Is she with mikasa who stopped eren from doing it? Or is she with the alliance who did everything in their power to save the rest of humanity on the continent? Or is she on the royal family's side? WHOM does she obey? Or is it just going with the flow of events? If that's the case, then how can she wait for mikasa? But if it's still for witnessing mikasa murdering eren, then why does she listen to zeke when eren enters paths? By this logic, she should join the mc immediately to see him get killed as soon as possible. Why does she join eren at first and starts the rumbling with yeager but then helps the alliance to defeat him? Why would she do that to someone who made her moved to tears for the first time after 2000 years of suffering, who healed her by his words of kindness, who told her she's just a person, not a slave or a god, that she get to decide and choose? Why are we told in the final mikasa saved her if eren already did that? Did she need help two times? If the mc wasn't the one to free her, how could she disobey zeke? Is eren her liberator or pawn? If a liberator, why didn't she tell him what she wanted or write shit on sand, anything? If a pawn, why make a show "at your service, mr zeke" and weep after Eren's speech? Did eren and she even need zeke's royal blood after Ymir joined the mc? Also, what exactly made titans disappear? Eren's death, his refusal to live, mikasa's choice, the fact the hallucigenia separated from the mc, fritz seeing the kiss? What? Ymir's desire to stop? So you mean to tell me she wanted them to exist? She could refuse making them anytime? Are you kidding me? Why did she smile at the end of ch 138? Because eren got killed or because the goddess saw the kiss? What were those scenes with her watching everyone during the rumbling all about? To think that for more than 100000+- years (if we take into account time in paths moves slower) she created MILLIONS of titans when shifters transformed and when eldians turned into them (dozens times a day), healed her descendants (once again, dozens times a day), changed or erased their memories, rewrote their dna, made shit from crystals, walked millions of kilometers to build titans, carried many-many pails with water and sand, climbed high to make enormous arms, heads, necks etc... for TWO THOUSAND YEARS she made her children and their children suffer, made the world endure, helped the mc start GENOCIDE, watched millions of people die and kill each other, witnessed her people eat one another and so on just because she COULDN'T MOVE ON FROM HER ABUSER! Do you realize how absurd and unrealistic it sounds? What else should I say... Either she is the stupidest human being or the most despicable person ever. Either her plotline is retconned at the last moment or the author just didn't think it out properly (which is so unlikely). Or after all, maybe, just maybe, she was the true villain of the story all along, not a victim as we thought. We were just ignorant to see it or didn't want to notice. Tmm, Ymir's character gained the worst conclusion in aot, even worse than eren because we didn't even get to know about her motivation, it remained a mystery because "only she knows...". Her arc was so unresolved and so underdeveloped. What was isayama even thinking?
I’m not gonna start a argument with someone that has that much to say, also respect for the long comment. Also I thought the thing about Ymir being in love with King Fritz was obvious and wasn’t surprised about it at all but yea idk when she would have fell in love with him.
Notice how everyone hated the ending when it first came out, and now that mappa put pretty colors and “extra lines” in the episode, anime onlys love it. Sheep
I’m an anime only and yes I didn’t know what the manga ending was and stayed away from the spoilers of it. Also if you are saying people that only watch the anime like the ending because of Mappa you are dead wrong. I mean not *dead* wrong because sure some people could use that as their excuse I guess but not everyone that watched the anime liked it. I have 3 cousins that are also anime onlys and we all have different feelings about the ending. I thought it was a fitting end, one of my cousins thought it was ok but the way it was put together was messy(which I agree with because of how jumpy it was), and my other two cousins didn’t like how it turned out. I feel like you and others should stop generalizing that anime onlys are the only ones that like the ending although I will say that there have been people generalizing that manga onlys are the only ones that hated the ending(actually you also kinda did that in your comment by saying “notice how everyone hated the ending when it first came out”). Either way we all have our own different experience with what we watch, sure some of us only read the manga(not me) and others only watch the anime(me) and some do both but that isn’t as relevant to how much we are gonna like what we are experiencing. If you are someone that likes reading manga more than watching anime, then you are gonna probably like reading manga more than watching anime. And if you are someone that likes watching anime more than reading manga, then you are gonna probably like watching anime more than reading the manga. If you can enjoy both, then you can enjoy both. Now of course *YES* after I had watched the finale I saw that there was a big major change from the manga to the anime when it comes to Armin thanking Eren for you know what as well as the way the conversation between eren and Armin having some changes. But calling us sheep for being anime watchers and thinking we only liked the ending because mappa animated it is kinda disrespectful. Like I have no hate against manga readers and I respect that we all have different ways of enjoying our own shows and entertainment and I’m not gonna single out a group for enjoying or hating something by saying that it is only because of the way they consume that entertainment that they feel that way or saying that everyone that went through the story through a certain medium had the same opinion as each other just because of the medium they experienced it with.
People who hate the ending = deep analysis of the story, themes, plot lines, character relationships and dynamics consistently across the whole series. People who like the ending = I JUST CONSUME DA MOVING PICTURES
I think it's okay to like the ending, but anyone should be able to see the jarring problems and plot holes it had. People who defend it so much I think are missing something
@@assiaelmabrouki5552there are plot holes (the biggest one is the time travel mechanic honestly) but I think this is still masterful and very emotional for a lot of people.
I love how the ending tries to play smart by saying “Oh no the circle of violence will continue” Yeah no shit sherlock, some Eldian killed 80% of the world population, you really thought the survivors would just forget about it???
And ppl think it's 'deep' while in reality all it does is make the entire story pointless. What was the point of survey corps taking huge losses everytime they rescued Eren, Erwin's charge, Grisha killing royal family for Eldians' survival and every other sacriface if all Paradis was gonna be nukes anyway? Reiner and Bertholt could've literally destroy all walls during the 1st episode and the outcome would be the same
That’s the thing: the cycle would have continued and _will_ continue regardless of Eren’s presence. Way before Eren was born Marleyans were enslaving and killing Eldians purely for the lols, the death of Grisha’s sister by that fat bastard with the dogs in particular was brutal. Every Eldian sent to Paradise Island became one more Titan in a horde, until Grisha was saved and found out Eldians *had* in fact survived and made a relatively safe place for themselves. But he just silently integrated and never once warned the people within the walls of the Non-Titan malice lurking beyond their home. All this went to sh*t even more when Reiner and Bertholdt tore the walls down, because by pure coincidence Grisha’s second wife was killed by his Titanised first wife, this sets Eren down his path of “kill all Titans”, which given what the populace believed at that point (Titans killed the rest of humanity and we are the last) was logical. Then he found out that no, there _is_ humanity outside the Walls and what’s more is _they_ are responsible for the Titans running wild on their island. People they had long forgotten about and never even laid eyes on had been cursing them and wanting them dead all this time solely because “they had devil blood”. Finding out Reiner’s father was a racist POS who he and his mother actually wanted to be with, despite him sh*t talking the woman _he_ impregnated and hating the young man _he_ sired legitimately baffled me. Anyway I was thrilled when Eren finally took the fight to *them* because it was long overdue. The Marleyans had been tormenting Eldians for decades and at worst cursing some to become mindless Titans and raising their kids to think “hey these people are evil and deserve everything we do to them”, but the funny thing is they were all SHOCKED when one of their victims said ‘no, fuck all of you!’ and delivered a heaping helping of karma on them all. They were just shocked that despite all their scheming Eren got a WAY higher body count than they ever did. Eren was literally a monster of their own making, had the wall not been breached he would have lived out his life blissfully unaware. But the Marleyans came a’knockin’ so Eren left their world a’rockin’ (literally) But now Titans are gone, the only warfare that will happen from now on will be between humans and devices they made with their own hands, and Eldians are still equipped with gear that let them kill Titans. Gabi and her simp boyfriend will be dead one way or another because she can’t cry for Reiner to save her and that legitimately makes me smile 😏😏😏
(I mentioned Reiner’s father because despite Eldians “being devils” he still slept with Reiner’s mom and shunned them both for the result. You’d think Reiner, upon meeting the people within the walls, would want to tell the Marleyans off and fight _with_ Eren because come on, he could have won the whole fecking war for their side but he and his mother would still be devils. That he thought otherwise and continued to fight for his oppressors genuinely made me mad 😤😤😤)
time-loop plot devices ruin everything. Eren became little more than a living macguffin, heseems to admit it in like meta commentary I think, not confirmed but that’s how it reads to me. The character himself is not sure why the author is making him do this but he has little free will to affect the outcome - sad ending to a great character
@@DiosGaming205 wake up to reality. It is as got ending at least changes something in the story and characters achieve something. In aot final nothing matters
Thank you for seeing AOT for what it has turned into an utter mess/garbage.. Eren literally went from being one of the best written MC's to "Just A Garden Variety Idiot Who Got His Hands On Too Much" his character assassination was brutal.....Eren has been defined by always struggling against fate, trying to make his own way and make the change he's been striving for, even if that makes him amoral, even if that puts him at risk (the guy hit Dina's titan barefisted, that was a scenario where he would have certainly died, yet he didn't fear death; same case in Trost, when he was in the belly of a titan). We only ever saw Eren submit to fate once - in the cave in S3 when he wanted Historia to eat him, his lowest point ever. But he came through it and doubled down in determination. It doesn't make sense that he would submit to "fate" again when he just came through an arc with a focus on defying his fate. how does Eren, the embodiment of willpower, determination and ambition, seem likely to accept running away with his childhood friend, leaving Armin, Historia, all of Paradis to die, while he gets to die in 4 years without achieving a single thing (his worst nightmare as said by himself) To me, that's not Eren - what we saw in that dream in 138 was what Mikasa wanted Eren to be, which is why he is so different from the real Eren. The post-timeskip period focuses on how Mikasa doesn't really know the true Eren and has been loving a version of him that isn't exactly the same as who he really is, and this is meant to show that. But in the end Isayama's turned him into a plot device and made him the kind of Eren EDS and their Goddess Mikasa wanted and viewed... no wonder he isn’t himself and looks like a completely different character in the last chapter/episode.. and also Thank you for unmasking all the plot armor/holes,inconsistencies and unresolved plot lines.. Etc.Topics that most people either choose to ignore or don't have the balls to speak on or admit that their favorite series has actually gone down hill they are not ready to accept it but UA-camrs like you give me hope that there is critical thinking , common sense and Reading/Viewing comprehension is still left in UA-cam and Anime community..People like you are the voice of Ending Haters cause some people think that we hate the ending just for the sake of hating which is further away from the truth and that we just wanted a "Sunshine And Rainbows Of An Happy Ending" as if the ending they got isn't all Sunshine and Rainbows P.s i will always remember AOT as "A story about Freedom that turned out to be a fanfic about Love" nah cause seriously it seems as if AOT was a fanfic about Love all along.. "Striving For Freedom" was just a misdirect lmao ... RIP AOT & Eren you "Almost" became one of the most greatest series/characters of all Time..
To me The whole alliance arc after the rumbling starts is trash, everything after chapter 122 and 123, with Zeke and eren meeting ymir, everything that comes after is terrible. And contradict everything that it was about.
I hear that a lot, that everything started going bad after the rumbling. Is it because Eren betrayed Zeke that you are saying that? Like if they had done the Euthenization everything would have been good? Because either way the story was leading up to a mass genocide event whether Eren initiated the rumbling or not because Marley would have been the ones to do it. And if eldians were unable to reproduce due to the euthenization I don’t think that would have stopped the Marleyans even with Zeke’s word. Maybe I see the rumbling different than most people but Eren was close to his 13 years anyways. He wanted everyone(his close friends) to have a long life by making sure they didn’t have the burden of being a titan host and in order to do that he had to use the founding titans power while also making sure that most of the world couldn’t do anything to the ones he lived by sending tens of millions of colossal titans to trample everything(which is of course extremely selfish) and although I get why people say “trash ending” it isn’t a trash ending to me based on everything that I know about why that ending was the outcome of the story and why it fits with the story as well as Eren’s character.
@@biggamer7245 Here goes my breakdown of some wrongs things and bad plot of AOT and my dissatisfaction as a manga reader. I disagree that AOT was good until the last chapter, and only the last chapter ruined everything like most manga readers say, AOT started to lost himself and go downhill after Erwin death and the reveal of the basement, and then you have a 3 years time skip that skipped possible development's for characters and the original cast of characters became useless and without purpose, three examples is historia useless, mikasa without a purpose or goal, and armin that became dumb after he ate berthold and likes annie just because he ate berthold. After the time skip the only characters that do something and have a plan is zeke with the euthanasia plan and eren that became a one man army, eren became a cold strategist like Erwin, smart like armin pre time skip, and badass like levi and mikasa, everyone else become stupid and useless. And then eren and Zeke go to the paths and then meet ymir, its heavily implied that ymir wanted eren and choose him to go to her and free her from being a slave to the paths, eren himself said that, and you have the plot twist of grisha seing eren all along, and eren goal would be using the colossal titans to fight marley and everyone one outside of the island, because eren goal was freedom for the eldians in the island and his friends. this was the story until chapter 122 and 123. evething else after is a shit show and makes no sense, armin and mikasa created the alliance forces with marley to stop eren, from saving the eldians from certain death from the people outside the walls, it makes no damm sense. And eren taking the role of villain just to sacrifice himself because suddenly now ymir plot point is that she loved the king for some reason, but in paths when eren saw her past she was a slave to that king and was very sad all the time and choose death by the spear to escape from the king, but in last chapters ymir sudenly loves the king fritz, and the one ymir choose was not eren to free her like showed in paths when eren hug ymir and she cried, mikasa is the one chosen to kill eren and for some reason free ymir, the story gives a 180 and the story at this point betrayed everything that it was about, eren can affect the past but can't change or affect the future? makes no sense, and then you have eren talk with armin in the manga after he died in the paths saying he doesn't know why he started the rumbling and accidentally send dina titan to kill his own mom by accident, WTF? if he can time travel using the paths controlling eldian people, why didn't eren controlled Reiner berthold and annie and stopped them from destroying the walls?, makes no sense, this time travel path is bullshit. and then you have falco bird titan bullshit aswell, none of the 9 titan became birds, zeke spinal fluid making someone became bird titan makes no sense it came out of nowhere. Eren killing 80% of everything outside of the island just to back down in the last minute and let 20% alive, that definitely will take revenge in the future over all the killing by eren and the island, is stupid, and then eren removing all titan powers from eldians that are the only advantage against everyone outside the island, makes no sense is dumb. ymir was controlling everything that eren did after the time skip just to mikasa to decapitated eren in the end, that is ridiculous, isayma copied code geass ending but in a very dumb way. Erwin the most intelligent character died for nothing , zeke actually had some good plan in comparison to eren being controlled by ymir and back down in last second just to mikasa to take his head, and floch was a hero. And eren is a cry baby piece of sh4t that was pretending to be a cold badass after the time skip, but in the end he saying to armin he doesn't want mikasa to ever forget him, f1ck off, never was confirmed that eren loved mikasa in that way and in the end he is crying like a baby over it. Just disappointing. AOT Should have ended in chapter 122 and 123. Eren meets ymir hugs her freeing her from Zeke slave paths, uses the coordinate the walls falls down, colossal titans awaken, roll credits, the end. a open ending just like that.
At this point i think the reason the ending contradicts alot of things is because it was the original ending he had in mind but as he kept developing the story it no longer made sense
thats also wrong because he originally planned an ending close to the mist. he is obviously lying in his recent interview because its contradicting his past interviews.
@@Valkyraw I thought that it made sense somewhat because of how the story was all built in and connected together. Also if he is lying what would be his reason for doing so? Is it to tell us things that we want to hear rather than what he actually thinks?
@@Valkyraw Like he changed things as he went through it? I mean if that is the case I think it would have been likely considering how long he worked on AOT for. I personally don’t think it is a huge deal tho, still gonna thank him for what he created. If he doesn’t want to admit some things I think it is fine, he isn’t used to being the creator of a general masterpiece(depends on how you view AOT) and I don’t think he ever expected it to get this big.
@@biggamer7245 i feel no sympathy for him. he betrayed his viewers in a way that is absolutely disgusting. I hope he never touches a pen again and if he does i will avoid anything from him.
I think what you're missing is that everything in Erens life came second to him being free, it just how he was born. He says it himself and Mikasa says it on the boat, he never changed. Not his mother's death or his environment made him in to who he was. When he got the founders power and was able to see the past and the future he realized that he will always choose flattening the world no matter what, it was decided not because he was bound by fate, but because the fate was bound to him. It's not determinism, he has agency and choice but the irony is that what traps him is his nature to choose freedom. He cared about his friends and the island and wanted to save them but it was again second priority, although he wished it be otherwise he knew he was a monster that couldn't stop himself. For him to kill the enemies on the outside and see the world as free as he imagined as a child, he killed his mother, pressured his father, lied to everyone all because that was the only way for him to get the power he needed to see the freedom he wanted to see. I think why I love the ending and so many people hate it is that in the end viewers care about the characters, what happens to Eren and friends, but the ending makes you realize how it's just a single story in a world. There is no happy forever after, there was always going to be genoside on ether side, conflict will happen no matter what and and Idiots like Erens will get power and burn the world down not because they have this huge siffisticated reason but because at the bottom of their heart they have their own selfish reason that drives them, like love (ymer) or wanting to be a hero (Reiner). Ziek had the right idea there is no real reason to live in this crazy world, its all meaningless, besides the little short moments of happiness and simple joy like a cool TV show with acrobatic teenagers cutting naked giants with swords and dying for our entertainment.
I guess you could say that, still always gonna be a masterpiece to me tho, I wasn’t expecting much from the ending tho and was still satisfied with it.
@@TheComfyCouch310 Yea I don’t think the ending is a masterpiece either, I was talking about the show as a whole and I also accept the ending as it is.
@@TheComfyCouch310 Yea, also I am still surprised tho that the author was still able to make an ending that was able to connect with just about everything else in a decent way. Like yes it wasn’t a very great ending but the fact that it works is great in my opinion. Also do you know if there is anything that has not been answered cause we basically know who(technically we don’t know his name but I’m pretty sure he is someone from Historia’s early early childhood probably) the father of Historia’s child is and a lot of other things, but I don’t know if there is anything important that the author wasn’t able to explain somewhat. And yea it’s story in general is so good and in terms of the anime, I feel like the writing plus what Wit and Mappa studio and their directors have been able to do as well as all of the amazing artists, musicians and singers that were involved in AOT all killed it. One of my favorite scenes still to today is the scene in season two where Reiner and Bertholdt revealed themselves as the armored and colossal titan and I think that scene was so well done in the anime. My love for AOT has grown so much over time, I grew up with it and I first saw the first season when I was in middle school, and it’s been 10 whole years, I’m gonna miss it so much…
The fact that Pyxis even proposed the idea of a great threat uniting mankind together to fight to Eren to which Eren finds the idea rosy and full of bullshit. But in the end he now is for the idea with no apparently explanation to show how he changed his mind.
I hate the Carla twist so much. Not only does it make no narrative sense as you pointed out, but it also kills all the emotional implication we have in Eren's character. It kills all his motivation and his humanity. I think a lot of people undermine how story breaking this "twist" was.
Just finished the show and I’m so mad what they did to Eren. The entire end is all of Eden’s friends teaming up with the enemy so they can willingly commit suicide and destroy paradis. You can’t convince me that the cia didn’t force Isayama to change the ending because it would have been too based. What a fucking joke. Could have been the best anime of all time. Eren wins, protects his child with historia and lives with the guilt of wiping out the planet but still knowing it had to be done. We got a shitty American Disney ending where the point is violence is bad and it’s better to kill yourself then fight for your own interests.
When ere called himself an idiot was because he hated himself for what he did knowing someone else with the power could’ve done something different. And when he said he doesn’t know, it wasn’t for the rumbling, that was when armin asked him why he showed him the view of the flattened earth. And yea, it does look contradictory eren killing his mom, that’s why he’s a slave to freedom. (Which you took that term literally). But if he didn’t kill her, the titan would’ve ate bertholdt making everything change. And when Grisha said eren is free is because at that point before killing the reiss family, he had planned to give eren a normal life where he wasn’t gonna live like him ,Zeke and other characters did in Marley. And why would eren confess to mikasa?? He knows how dependent she is from him because she’s pretty much everything she has, if he did that she wouldn’t had killed him freeing Ymir to let go of the king. And I don’t know why you take credit off eren when he talked to Ymir to free her. Mikasa just showed Ymir to not regret her choice of letting go of Fritz they both freed her. As for Eren and Mikasa it is true they didn’t have a lot of moments but it’s not like they could’ve. They’re both a product of war. There was no way they could’ve had a good romance, they were still pretty much kids by the end of the series, they never got to have a normal life all they knew was to fight. And sadly some moments of mikasa were cut off from the anime giving her less dialogues like the time in the manga where eren was worried abt mikasa before the return to shinganshina. It was normal for eren to cry knowing he had to let go and never got to experience a normal life.
Turns out everything I said in here isn’t true because it’s a type of time travel that has to do with 1 timeline and time being able to exist in the past present and future, it’s a predestination timeline type of thing or loop. Gonna put an explanation I came up with after someone responded to me after I basically said that Eren is responsible for everything even since before his birth because of the attack titan and how it transcends time and I now realize that this explanation is probably 100% true because of how much sense it makes when it comes to Eren being the mastermind of the fixed timeline that we have in AOT: Basically but there is more to it(I recommend reading everything I say): Eren was already transcending time within the paths(I will explain) before he was born but it is likely for a different reason that you would think. The attack titans influence itself is already transcending time before the user is born, because the attack titan sends memories through the paths and the paths transcend times themselves, but if that was all there might be a plot hole. So unless if Isayama can come up with a better explanation, this is the way we have right now(it’s most likely correct but I don’t think it is 100% confirmed by Isayama or it might be idk) to explain how it worked in the timeline we have been watching: There are already different timelines in AOT(Isayama has confirmed that there are different timelines) when we take all of AOT into account. An example of two different timelines that we know of are the manga and anime. The manga and anime have been set as different timelines since the very beginning and although they are almost identical, they aren’t 100% identical and they are confirmed as different timelines(what I tell you will make you realize why they are identical even though they are different timelines). First of all, just know that the timeline in both AOT(anime) and AOT(manga) are fixed timelines and have been fixed timelines since the beginning of the series. A fixed timeline is a timeline where no matter what you do, every single thing and every single event is set in stone. For all of the people saying “why didn’t Eren change things with his power and not do the rumbling”, there was no doing that(I’m pretty sure that Eren even tells Armin that he tried to change things but no matter how much he tried he couldn’t) and I will tell you how and why the fixed timeline was created. Now that you know there are many timelines, the only way to explain the fixed timeline within AOT is we have to imagine that there was a different timeline where Eren reached a point similar to the one in our timeline, a point where he had both the power of the founding and attack titan(those two exact titans are very important) and also was able to reach the paths and have Ymir give him her power(Eren getting power from Ymir in that other timeline is proof that the intentions when altering the timeline that we see, the end goal was to end the curse of Ymir). Eren in that timeline would have wanted to end the titan curse and do the rumbling(Eren calling himself an idiot who was given too much power will probably make sense after all of this). Also btw, both worlds in the timeline we watch and the other timeline are the same, but not everything is, Eren likely wouldn’t have even been born in the fixed timeline that we watch until the influence of Eren from the other timeline and you will see why if you search up the scenes of Eren Kruger talking to Grisha about “starting a family”. The Eren from that other timeline(the one we don’t see) used the power of the founding and attack titan while transcending time because of Ymir’s power(transcending time also means being able to transcend timelines in a sense). Now if you want to know why the founding titan and attack titan are important, Eren used the founding titans ability to command the attack titan within himself to send memories to the past of the timeline that we had been watching and influenced the whole past by doing that. The reason why I said Eren(in the timeline we see) wouldn’t have been born is because Eren, the one that has been transcending time in the timeline that we don’t know anything about except that the rumbling never happened in that timeline, is the one who made sure he would be born in the world that we see by Making Grisha rebel against Marley and meet his mother Carla. He also made sure that Grisha would take the founding titan and give it to himself in the timeline that we see. Eren who had been transcending time created fixed timelines that were almost identical to each other both in the manga and the anime. In other words, everything that happened in the timeline we see would happen exactly as the way it did because of the influence that Eren had by altering the timeline. Eren calls himself an idiot who got his hands on power because he realizes that he is the one who wanted all of that death and destruction, it doesn’t matter if he felt horrible about it, all of it happened because he was “born into this world”. Eren in the other timeline is probably not only responsible for his mother being eaten by a titan but many other things as well because the timelines were likely very different before it was turned into a fixed timeline. Grisha’s sister probably would have never had the kind of death she went through if not for Eren(Eren from the other timeline is probably the reason why Grisha takes his sister outside), the previous attack titans may not have fought for freedom if not for Eren, Eren(in the fixed timeline that we see) would not have to go through the pain of killing so many if not for him being born into this world. Just about anything in the fixed timeline that we see could have been made the way it is, especially everything Eren does from the moment he is born in the fixed timeline, because the philosophy of freedom that defines his character is what leads him to never being able to obtain it. Eren(the one from the other timeline) is like the director of everything that we watch in the fixed timelines(both anime and manga), and Eren(in the fixed timeline that we watch) realizes how disgusting his want of justifying genocide in order to get rid of Ymir’s curse(same thing as “get rid of titans”), and that is most likely the reason that he calls himself an idiot. Extra stuff: If you are wondering something like how Eren altered Mikasa’s memories, that is kind of simple. Ackermans are only immune to memory manipulation through the founding titan, Eren manipulated Mikasa’s memories through the paths. This is not time travel, it is a time paradox, Eren(from the other timeline) is never physically visible or moving physically when making the fixed timeline. Eren(from the other timeline) changes the past of the timeline that we see *through the paths* by sending memories which means that he most likely was only able to affect eldians and anyone that was connected to him and Ymir because of the paths. Eren not only forced the timeline that we see with his own birth but is also responsible for all the pain and suffering Eren(in the fixed timeline that we see) goes through, from all of the scouts that die, to *possibly* Bertholdth, Annie and Reiner sent to attack the wall, Eren made a fixed timeline that we see and is why Eren says “I am an idiot who was given too much power”. It’s pretty complicated but if you read every single thing I said it should make some sense as to why Eren(the one we see in the fixed timeline) starts sobbing over Mikasa, why Eren didn’t want to do what he was born to move forward to, and why Eren is truly, a slave to freedom.
Attack on Titan, a series of legendary storytelling, foreshadowing, world building, and a masterpiece of both animation and soundtrack. One of the greatest possible series of all time, Made amazing by it start and stride, but destroyed by its horrible ending.
@SpantzNair Yes but was passable you know nobody is a Perfect writer and Eren was Being build to be a amazing character but after chapter 123 the story got so many retcons, plotholes and Eren get a character assasination to the point that the story become hot garbage
Hey, I was looking for your sins of the father video and I can't find it! The Eren and Historia one. A few months ago you said you were making it again, is that still happening, and that's why the original is gone? I really hoped to see it. Please let me know, Odin!!
Yo if the new video is gonna be better than the old one, I can't wait. I'ma share the shit out of that video. I am anxiously awaiting, give it your all homie 👀@@Odin69
I just feel sad. It was already bad after the manga ending but now it came up all again after the anime ending and seeing that so many anime-onlies just don't see it... I don't know. Just makes it worse. I mean - good for them to have a good time and enjoy it. But... it just doesn't make sense. Eren was such a great character. Why did have to end like this...
@@rishabhkhatri It's also sad that this is the only answer one seems to get from people who have another opinion on AoT: "You just didn't get the story". Okay.
@@LylinBloom Which is the truth. Too blinded by head cannon to actually understand the story. And if someone likes it just say you don't understand the story and why you should dislike it.
my theory is that isayama retconned the ending either bc of money/his editors/contract: he had to appease the eremika shippers and mikasa stans so they can make money off of merch. maybe even a spin-off of aot with mikasa as the mc or bc he actually projected himself onto eren this whole time, meaning eren was him the entire story and the ending is him being all pathetic bc he himself also views himself that way as a mangaka. he is exhausted and tired by aot and also has imposter syndrome and wants to say that he isnt the genius aot fans think he is, the same way eren isnt the hero we thought he was. either way isayama seems to be a pretty messed up loser with an inferiority complex or no backbone
Unfortunately this makes a lot of sense. I'd like to think that Eren's whole speech about 'I'm just an idiot who got too much power' is just isayama projecting his thoughts about himself and the way he made the ending
"For Eren, rather than a lover, Mikasa's presence is more like a mother to him. The love towards a mother is considered valuable [precious], however at the same time, there are annoying parts as well [laugh]," Isayama said only to Retcon it in the last episode 😂
some fans have took that to mean that statement as Eren sees Mikasa as a mother but that’s not what it says Whilst its true their relationship was like that, Eren didn’t like it He said so during Trost ‘you’re not my Mom, nor are you my sister’ He doesn’t like that she treats him that way. And it directly ties to the ending. ‘What am I to you?’ ‘Family’ Eren clearly did not like that answer and if she gave him the answer he wanted, something different from his visions, he would have ran away with her This is not a retcon, it’s directly addressed in the ending itself.
@@BeMoreShonen Exception the question was about Eren feelings about Mikasa not Mikasa feelings about Eren, Isayama changed and the ending and change the characters as well as people want their favorite characters to live and be happy so Isayama was unable to achieve his vision of making a ending like the "The Mist"
@@Plsc1994br respectfully, according to Isayama himself, you are mistaken. Isayama very recently said that this was his original ending. He said he wanted to change it after feeling that the ending would be irresponsible and that he’d like to change it to something like Guardians of the Galaxy. That obviously did not happen. He said no matter how many times he tried to change the ending, the same inevitable outcome appeared on the page. He said Eren’s words ‘this is the best an idiot like me could do, a garden variety idiot who got his hands on power’ reflects his own journey in writing Attack on Titan. He described the Mist as the idea of the main characters ideals and perspective being twisted against him to act in contrary ways and that he originally wanted to have that as the ending but felt it was irresponsible so he planned on changing it. In later interviews, he said he was going to stick with his original ending. Then post-ending, said that this was always his original ending. There is nothing contradictory here, his statements are consistent. “The main characters ideals and perspective being twisted against him to act in contrary ways” certainly sounds like what happens to Eren. So I have no reason to not believe him when he says that this was his original ending. With that in mind, I think Eren’s feelings for Mikasa where very clear from the moment he wrapped the scarf around her and directly said ‘you’re not my Mum or sister’ and I am not at all surprised that’s where the story went. People get married in anime with far less foreshadowing and with far less controversy.
@@BeMoreShonen I declare death of the author when the guy says one thing then later says another thing, Isayama was unable to keep the tone of the story he was originally going to make if you go see how fans of AOT had seen so many foreshadowing that was discarded toward...that shit ending and the out of nowhere Eren was in love with Mikasa all along, it made me have flashbacks to Korra Avatar of the lesbian ending with the same excuse of out of nowhere ship to appease the fans, which mirrors AOT, considering how Eren x Mikasa is the strongest ship in Japan just take a look.
@@Plsc1994br ahhh I disagree. I always thought Eren x Mikasa was going to happen if any ship was going to happen at all and I think it was very well established as a possibility. But not here to convince you! It’s all good 👊
its not determinism... I am of the realization that Ymir... was the villain. She controlled everything. She did suffer but was fucked up after what happened to her and refused to rest in peace or die 1st by fusing with the tree spine, 2nd by retreating into paths and using Eren to wake her up from her whatever the hell that was, because she had the power at any point, but no, she waited for Eren to wake her up, and USE him to enact her revenge through the rumbling. Which is an evil thing of her. She must have let out her unhealthy feelings while being used by Fritz by obeying his orders and decimating armies and countries. Cruelty and evil. And she wanted to do the same again, and to do onto Eren what was done to her. Proving Maralyans right. She was evil. And Eren, a promising young bright soul, got stepped on by all her bullshit. He was never free... and lost himself. All for her amusement? bullshit story.
I'm totally with you: I haven't got disappointed by the ending itself, I mean by the idea of conflict between humans never ends, or by the fact that Mikasa and Eren don't live together. I'd have prefered a more positive "tatakae" mindset like, "it doesn't matter if conflict never end, never give up on freedom, on peace", but still I understand what he means, and about the EreMika, well... You can't always have a happy ending, I find that just a possible realistic ending, that's it. I really got disappointed by Eren and ultimately by the lack of sense and logic you have at the end (thinking about Ymir too)... Like you said, was it all a lie? Eren did what he did without actually knowing why? So, what's really the sense of all of this? Because "OK, conflict will never end", and then? Everything seems like he just felt he wanted to, to get an emptier world... Yes, of course he did that for his friends too, especially Armin and Mikasa, but still it doesn't make sense all of this... That's what is disappointing about this ending, it really leaves you empty from this perspective. People seem only to focus on the fact "you know, the lesson is conflict never end"... Well, I respect Isayama of course, amazing story, but personally I think he should have focused more on the reaction to that fact, which indirectly seems to encourage "giving up", that there's actually a sort of written destiny... No, the ending could have been managed much better, in my personal opinion
It could have been managed better, I definitely agree with that, also yes and no to the thing about Eren doing what he did without knowing, but it’s probably easier to use an example like the question he asked when they went to the ocean, “if we kill all our enemies over there, will we finally be free?” at the end of season 3. Eren was looking too far into the future for freedom and thought he could obtain it but he was an idiot for looking so far past where he had already gotten. While his friends already felt happy enough after being able to go outside the walls and could see the ocean for the first time, that wasn’t enough for Eren. And the thing is that by the time he realized what he had done, there wasn’t really a way for Eren to go back in time and fix things because he realized what he had done too late, and that he was a slave to freedom. I don’t know how to best explain this but I personally love that and even if it may sound weird it is kinda true that him calling himself an idiot was not for no reason, what he had hoped to fight for when he was in the walls was not a lie, he also thought he could reach it, but it just didn’t exist for him to be able to obtain it, because the idea of freedom that he had(unlike any of his friends) and the idea he thought was obtainable led him to the point where once he only realized what he had done, it was too late and he had to go on with the rumbling. I’m not 100% sure if that is all of it but that seems to be a big part of Eren’s own character, that he always looked far into the future for something that wasn’t real. I would like to hear your opinion on what I said tho and if you have anything that could combat it I would like to know. The ending in general tho isn’t very great but I found it to fit well as an ending for Attack on Titan. It also felt rushed which personally made me and many others really confused and even with them changing the conversation that Armin and Eren had with each other in the anime to make it better and more well planned out, it is still such a confusing ending because the amount of information they try and give us was on an immense scale, even for an episode that was 90 minutes long.
Eren was stripped of his agency and became a passive character- one of the worst things for a character to be in fiction. I don’t understand how the writing took such a nose-dive after so many excellent seasons. More disappointing than GoT for me
What I really hate about the ending is why not just have Eren talk about how he was just fed up with war. War made him feel like a slave and it was plain to see in both the manga and anime. But instead, Eren just doesn't know and even does things to himself namely killing his mom to make himself do the rumbling. I'm all for show and not tell but if you're gonna make the characters tell don't make it a complicated mess.
Absolutely this a googolplex times over it’s exactly what most of the story was building up to instead they pulled the type of anime simp for my sister fetish overused crap as if we don’t have enough anime of that already LOL They chose that instead of doing the deeper sins of the father plot theme with eren and kristia -histrioa with the baby thing ugh 😑 iam starting to think Japanese hate father plots for there main characters because I get my assumption from this because this wouldn’t be the first time japan CUCKED and said no to a father main character plot LOOKS AT CHAR COUNTER ATTACK BC they didn’t want amuro ray being a family man in a gundam lol yeaaah unbelievable 😒 But it’s good I got ANR AOT requiem coming the REAL AOE and I’ll be sticking eren X kristia final at the end of that and have THE TRUE END LOGO at the end of it.
conveyed by the final shot of the finale with erens tree growing and paradis develpoing in the back ground its clear that Eren achieved peace for Paradis for at least 1 thousand yrs. Yes he put his friends in danger initially which he regretted but his plan allowed them to die of old age
Changes i would consider better than what we got (a few things off the top of my head, feel free to add more): 1) Levi should have joined Eren because anything else is contradictory to his character. Levi always fought to free the people of the island and saw countless comrades die for that reason, also he saw his dearest friends get killed by the warriors, and now all of sudden he's a team with them because "le evil rumbling"?? 2)Levi should kill Zeke and Annie and Reiner in the most brutal way possible (after Eren has used Zeke) 3)Someone kill Gabi please, she deserves it 4)Eren must complete the rumbling while killing his traitorous friends who betrayed their homeland and comrades 5)Floch should be glorified as the utmost embodiment of bravery, and heroism and have a statue built for him 6)Historia bares Eren's child, which he successfully saves and protects by a successful rumbling, thus surpassing his father and grandfather who failed to protect their children.(surpassing the father theme being concluded in the best way possible) 7)Ymir actually having a character and a brain 8)Mikasa being killed by someone after being shown that she never truly loved Eren, only the image of him she had created in her mind, otherwise she would have never fought against him 9)The plot about Mikasa being Hizuru royalty actually leading somewhere and being of significance to the story 10) Eren not killing his mom because that's totally insane and has no reason to happen 11)Eren not convincing Grisha to kill the Reiss, he was already a dedicated restorationist, had no need for being convinced. 12) Eren actually not even having any time travel powers at all would instantly make the show 100 times better. 13)Back at the battle of the port and the plane, the Yeagerists whould have killed at least a couple of the main characters, maybe Jean or Connie, because the main cast having 100% survival rate is totally stupid and unrealistic. Also, the Yeagerists should have at least damaged the ship or plane or both, there was so many of them, it was unrealistic for them to be unable to shoot a damn boat or plane a single time. In fact, now that i think about it, the Yeagerists were so many and so overwhelming with the thunderspears and Floch's guidance, they should have at least taken down one of the main Titans, say Annie, or Reiner. Annie dying here at the port battle would have been great and made perfect sense.
1- Levi should have died when Zeke called his bluff with the thunder spear. Hubris and revenge leading to his demise is as good as any way to resolve his story. His wrap-up story post-rumbling was super cringe anyway and spat on the sacrifices of the scouts. 2- Zeke should have been reduced to a vegetative state instead of the nonsense with the titan tauntaun. That would then lead to the surprise reveal in the paths where he breaks the chains and regains his full body. 3- Gabi is a character made to be hated. She's a copy of Eren living amongst Marley. She needed a redemption where she sat down with Theo Magath and repeated the scene between Eren and Reiner. Not as titans, but simply to hear the truth from the horse's mouth and then have the Yeagerists kill him and join their side. 4- The avengers alliance made no sense in the first place. It should have crumpled from internal conflict between the warriors and fence-sitters like Jean after or during the assault on the docks. They had to keep the main characters involved with the rumbling somehow; so have the warriors betray the alliance with a plan to stop Eren and then have the scouts chase after them. 5- Floch should have been the one to confront Armin at the docks instead of Daz. Isayama had to turn Floch into superman in order to resolve his character and it would have been way better to have him murdered in cold blood. 6- Historia's child was important enough to cut footage of her pregnancy in between scenes of the rumbling but it was all irrelevant in the end. It absolutely should have been Eren's child. 7- Ymir was fine as a robotic plot device. The retcon of saving her twice was a huge mistake for obvious reasons. It's a bit on the nose but it wouldn't have been overly farfetched if she was reborn as Historia's child to live again in a new world. 8&9- Mikasa's Ackerman blood should have become relevant to the Hizuru plot. Maybe getting rid of the titan powers could've been disastrous to her health so Hizuru joined the assault on Eren. Mikasa then would have had to make a choice and ultimately chose Eren, essentially sacrificing herself for him. 10- Done purely for the shock factor. I'm sure there were a thousand other shocking twists they could have came up with which weren't contradictory or self fulfilling. 11- Could have easily been a flashback to things The Owl did and the intense feeling that it's all for the greater good. 12- They definitely lost the plot when they gave Eren agency over his visions. If it was limited to merely having deep dreams in times of rest (e.g. in prison at the end of S3) then that works fine as a plot device to dump exposition. The idea that the attack titan can see the future is a massive problem for the whole show. They should have simply explained that the conversation that Eren saw between Grisha and The Owl was partly interfered with by his own memories, and that what he was seeing was not an exact record of history. There you go: the exact same memory-mush plotline that leaves Eren extremely confused without the time travel shenanigans. They then could have tried the angle that Eren was merely misinformed and explored a more mellow solution as the reason for stopping the rumbling. 13- Again, they had to turn the Yeagerists into superheroes in order to stack up against the veteran scout + warrior alliance. That battle should have been the moment when the warriors betrayed the alliance to even the field. Annie could have wiped out the entire scout regiment if not for Erwin back in S1. The Yeagerists are a bunch of wannabes by comparison even with the thunderspears. The idea of confronting multiple shifters head-on with nothing but a bunch of waist-high warehouses to latch onto is ridiculous.
@@zephyruspring I see you don't like FLoch and the Yeagerists very much so let me be clear about this. Floch, the Yeagerists and pre-retcon Eren are 100% morally right and the have every right in the world to do a full and successful rumbling. In fact they have the obligation to do it, towards all the people that sacrificed themselves fighting the titans in the Survey corps over the years. Levi should abolutely have joined them as he was all about making the deaths of the Survey corps members matter so not joining the Yeagerists is contradictory to his character aka a retcon. Annie and the cringelliance were horrible people and traitors and they deserved to be unalived horribly. The fact that no cringevengers member is unlived throughout the whole thing is another retcon, because they didn't want to show the nationalists winning in any way. Eren and Floch should have gloriously unlived the cringlliance and established the Eldian empire to its former Glory while avenging every member of the Survey corps who was eaten fighting the Titans throughout the years. Any ending other than this is absolute and total sh!t
@@Musipict Nah you've got it wrong I'm 100% on team Floch did nothing wrong. The problem with the story pacing surrounding the rumbling is that there are too many characters left alive when it started. Isayama got rid of most of the supporting characters through Zeke's plot but there were still too many to sit around doing nothing. The audience would never accept everyone partying back on Paradis whilst Eren does his thing. The characters had to get involved and pick a side, and Isayama's giant retcon got almost every character wrong. Part of my rewrite is to get rid of the excess characters. Levi had a lot of development and most of the characters relating to him were already dead. He should've absolutely wanted to kill Annie more than Zeke and for that reason it'd be better if he was dead before she came back, lest they diminish the feud with Zeke. Floch is another character who's actions defied belief and made me question what genre the show was supposed to be. Having Armin kill him directly before the main conflict started would have been much more believable for both characters. The other part is giving the fence-sitters a reason to get up and join the action too. This is mainly referring to Jean, Connie and Mikasa. If they thought Eren was misinformed they would have a reason to try to show him their version of the facts. Additionally, having the warriors as legitimate enemies one last time would be enough to rally anyone to the side of the Yeagerists without it being unbelievable. That way the final fight could have been Scouts & Yeagerists vs warriors, Marley and Hizuru. The warriors most definitely should have been whittled away over the course of the ending. I mean what even was that final moment with Pieck? Pathetic. It would have been great to see a confrontation between Reiner/Pieck and Falco/Gabbi too.
@@zephyruspring You have a few thing right but you seem confused and you have confused me too so let me make this perfectly clear: Being an Eldian Nationalist is the only moral thing to be. Any other belief system means you are an immoral person. Morality demands that you support the rumbling to the end. Morality demands that Eren avenges the Survey Corps members who gave their lives for freedom. Those brave souls who dared to step outside the walls to fight the Titans back when we knew nothing about them. It is them whose sacrifice must not be in vain. And for that to happen the Rumbling MUST be completed. Eren MUST win. Any other outcome means the bad guys won and the good guys lost. Justice demands a successful Rumbling.
There is no way Isayama meant to end the story like this. There was something major that made him change his mind, and this (potential) masterpiece of a story. Either the production company wanting to sell Armin + Mikasa merch, not wanting to make Eren a true antagonist, or something entirely else. But it was set up to have a perfect ending (probably ANR) and got completely ruined. Was my favorite show, now I don't even know anymore..
@@Tokeraki he also said multiple times that he changed the story because of external factors. Like not killing Sasha in season 2 bc his editor begged him etc..
For the people who say Eren was always psychotic, why was he crying in the cave in the Trost arc? With all the writing that happened from the beginning, why being a crybaby Erens “ character “ ?
Amazing video like always. You explain things so well. It still surprises me that you don't get more views. But I guess that's the cost of being honest.
Great video!^^ After the finale, UA-cam recommended me a lot of videos claiming that that ending of Attack on Titan was a "masterpiece", and by hearing these kind of opinions, I felt bad that I didn't think about the finale that way. "Maybe I didn't understand the story well enough?" I thought. But while watching this video, I realised I shouldn't be feeling bad about having a different opinion. Before I watched the last episode, I was in knowledge of some things from the manga (it is nearly impossible to avoid spoilers): Eren's infamous crying scene and him dying, and I knew that a lot of manga readers were dissatisfied with the conclusion. When finally I sat down with my brother to watch this episode, (mostly) everything I witnessed before Eren and Armin's conversation scene I found amazing, and I just couldn't understand how people dislike it. And then came that scene. When Eren and Armin were talking about Ymir, and how "she waited 2,000 years for someone" I immediately said that "Yes, that was Eren!", because it was OBVIOUS for me that Eren freed Ymir... right? The revalation that no, it was Mikasa all along came out of the blue, in my opinion. If it was always meant to be Mikasa, then why is the first episode titled "To you, 2,000 years from now" and the episode where Eren embraces Ymir "From you, 2,000 years ago"? I think it clearly suggests that it was meant to be Eren. And when Eren said the "It's ecause I'm an idiot" line, both me and my brother looked at eachother confused, like "what?". I felt like we were watching a completely different person. And I agree that Eren killing his mother makes no sense. And not really related to this topic, but I have one more issue with that conversation scene. When Eren confesses to Armin that he was the one who got his mom killed, Armin yes, initially shocked, responds to this with a "Let's go, Eren". But when Eren tells Armin that who knows Mikasa will find happiness with somebody else, he punches Eren. How come, that Armin is more angry about Eren 'disregarding Mikasa's love for him' that having indirectly killed his own mother?? To me, it felt like out of character for Armin. That whole conversation scene was just... so confusing for me. So I understand the issues manga readers were having with the ending. And I might add, that some of Eremika shippers (not all of them, of course) tend to be annoying. If you dare to say you don't ship EM, the shippers write long analyses (which nobody asked for...) of how Eren looks at Mikasa (just like it was said in the video ). You can't witness any kind of content with Eren and Historia without at least one comment saying "Nooo, Eren loves Mikasa!!!". And especially, if you dare to say you had problems with the ending, they tell you "You just didn't understand the story" and "The ending was a masterpiece". I don't think the ending was horrible, I actually enjoyed most of it, but I wouldn't call that a "masterpiece" at all. What I liked about this video that it was well-explained, easy for me to understand (other analysis videos of Eren and other Aot characters are sometimes too complexly made, so I am lazy to finish them😂) This was a really long comment, but I just had to write it out.^^ (And also sorry for my English!)
Eren says he did it because he was an idiot explicitly, but im under the impression that both he and armin have an implicit knowledge that he did it to save his friends. They in that moment are just sitting in the littered remnants of the masses and thinking about whether it was worth it. Hes calling himself an idiot for believing all those lives were worth his friends. Which is true, but he goes with his feelings even though he knows theyre pathological and biased and carries out his plan. Armin and eren already know why eren did it. Armin just does not agree and eren had no control because it was already decided. He didnt know how he decided it but he did. He was predestined the moment he kissed historia. In the original timeline he decided but this eren that has been through the loop so many times doesnt know why
Pretty much, and part of the reason for why Eren was sure about the rumbling at that time was because it was after the time where Mikasa made the decision of whether or not to tell Eren about her feeling for him, and because she didn’t tell him her feelings Eren was able to go on with the rumbling.
@@downwardsaerial2239you can't tell us eren cared about his friends but let his friends' descendants live with the threat of the world's retaliation because of his rumbling. That argument doesn't make any sense.
@@nightwishisthegreatestband6355 To be fair, the plan worked. Eren did guarantee peace and freedom for his friends because the world was too injured to immediately retaliate, as we saw mikasa die of old age we know she lived as long as she could. It’s the generation afterwards that are doomed, but I don’t think eren cares about anybody but his core friends.
10/10 ending. 10/10 show. Damn I love AoT and i fully appreciate the other perspective, and of course my opinion might be totally different than yours but hey I just love it! Anways take it easy
@@mooncrow2447 We all have our opinions, I do like transformers movies although I wouldn’t call them 10/10. I would call AOT 10/10 even though the ending wasn’t perfect. I am thinking of watching the Twilight series although I haven’t heard much good about those movies.
Who would have thought? By the end of the story, the character that received the least amount of damage was someone who wasn’t introduced until mid Season 3.
This ended up longer than I meant it to, read at your own risk: I love hearing these side of things, great video. Your previous video had a lot of strong negative language, so it was hard to take it seriously. But I definitely see it was more satirical than anything and this is your more serious take. I love the ending, but when people have a certain viewpoint on the series, and then that viewpoint is basically put through a shredder right at the climax, it makes sense that you'd hate it. Isayama took a huge risk to destroy what he started building for Eren character since Marley all for the sake of the themes, and so many people hated it, because if had turned out that Eren wasn't acting, it would have made Eren much more of a convincing character. But looking at the idea that he was acting, Isayama turned it into a tragedy for his character. My only problem is that Isayama should have fleshed it out more to make it more convincing. We're just expected to accept it through one conversation, and not a lot of people will. But anyways, I hope you'll humor me a bit on my disagreements with you, so I could hear your thoughts. I agree with everything in the video up till the point you talk about Armin not protecting Paradis. I feel as though it's implied that he did, since the destruction happens long after he died and it was no longer his responsibility. Unless you believe Armin failed to make sure future generations were capable of it, which might be fair depending how far in the future Paradis destruction that's place. It's also never confirmed whether they were attacked because of them being Eldians. Though Eren and Historia say that the conflict between Paradis and the world would never go away unless one side is destroyed, this can also be taken as a theme of "As long as there is an 'other side of the sea,' there will always be conflict." The ocean feels like a metaphor of just how large the world believes their differences are. They believe the Eldians are monsters, but so far in the future, any number of 'differences' could have been ther eason. At the end of the day, it wouldn't really matter what the reason was, because Paradis' destruction was inevitable, because people will always have differences. Heck, even if Eren succeeded in destroying the world, the people of Paradis would have eventually ended up at odds and killed each other anyway, because differences and conflict are unavoidable. What shows that perfectly is the Yeagerists creating their own military, whose ideals clash with many of the people who live on the island as well. Now, about Eren saying everything was because he's an idiot, and that it makes no sense when he did it so Mikasa could help Ymir. I certainly agree that the line makes you feel like it changes his character. It's definitely possible, but look at it from the view of Eren. He said he has no idea why Mikasa's actions changed anything, we as the reader do. He also tells Armin that he really did want and was truly attempting to kill every person outside the walls, so his main motivation hadn't actually changed, it was simply impacted by the unchangeable future he saw. His mind is a jumbled mess and all he knew is that his future self chose to kill all of humanity, but was stopped by Mikasa and his friends, and those actions ending up freeing Ymir. Eren says that even if he didn't know how it would turn out in the end, he would have leveled everything. It implies that all of this is the path he would have taken, because it was unavoidable. It implies that every single action you see Eren take outside of the Paths--where time, life, and death doesn't exist, and where he is able to tell his friends the truth--is what he would have done without knowledge of the future, without knowledge that he was doing it for Mikasa. He would said every word he would have said, he have wanted to kill every human, he would have wanted to declare war on Marley, kill Willy, and talk to Reiner one last time, he would have wanted to push Mikasa and Armin away by any means necessary, and he would have wanted to free Ymir from King Fritz. The only thing that changes here is Eren's knowledge of the future, knowledge that he failed. Yes, it changes the context of so many scenes, but incredibly, the original context is still there, and Eren is just along for the ride now. In that moment where he calls himself an idiot, it is after Armin asks him why he would have destroyed everything anyway without knowing the future. He's not talking about why it ended like 'this', he's talking about why he wanted to kill everyone-which in turn is the main reason it ended like this-because he still would have done all of this without knowing Mikasa would put an end to the power of the titans, all because he wanted to level everything and make the world his own image of freedom. All these memories of the future and his scrambled mind makes him realize something he wouldn't have before, that he was and idiot for thinking like this. But, he was an idiot with an unimaginable amount of power, which almost destroyed the entire world. NONE of his motivation is a "retcon", because his original motivation is still there! He wasn't "lying" to the audience because he really was trying to kill everyone, he was just stopped. In that moment before he cries to the boy, where he's telling himself that he's going to kill everyone. He is. He is going to kill everyone who is "there" in that town, not the entire world in general. (Unless I'm misremembering the specifity of the lines.) He was a slave to freedom AND determinism, because in pursuit of his freedom, he failed. Just because he knew he was going to fail, doesn't mean it wasn't his main motivation. All these comparisons when talking about Eren's mom: Batman, Spider-Man, Flash, Naruto, Sasuke, and trunks? These are all good people who if they had the choice, many would have gladly given up their lives to bring those people back. Eren isn't a good person, and it's revealed that he lsimply longed for freedom more than he wanted his mom back. It shows how far gone Eren truly is. The premise is not Eren gaining freedom, it's supposed to be a tragedy because he failed. 30:48 Didn't Isayama say he was simply too shy to make them kiss in this scene? I guess he might've been joking in that interview but anyways... you're exactly right, they're about to die and Eren has a break down about how useless he feels, which is why Mikasa shares how she feels about all he has done for her. There have been many breakdowns of the scene, one of which is that the kiss represented giving up, and that Eren refused to after Mikasa awakens his fighting spirit to protect her. But I agree, there wasn't enough build up in their relationship. 35:59 But she did let go, because she was capable of killing Eren, and Ymir wasn't able to kill the King. That doesn't mean she doesn't love him anymore. 35:59 Yes, because this Eren wouldn't have gone through with it if he had a choice. Seeing the future memories changed him completely and shattered his mind and who he thought he was as a person.
That or I'm completely wrong about my interpretation, either way you had great thoughts. I feel as though it's a challenge to fully understand Isayama's intentions in this ending. But I feel as though I have to try before I can completely judge it. My last two time stamps mess up, but hopefully it's pretty easy to see which points I'm talking about. My last one I'm kind of iffy about, if Eren would really want to change this future if he could :/ Also so many typos I'm too lazy to fix
You’re right, the video fails to understand that it is the whole point of the story, that Erin can’t save the island and his friends. And also he doesn’t have a choice, he must activate the rumbling because it is in his character to do so, but after it was activated, letting his friends win is basically making the best of a bad situation.
@@Sam-sv4yy Head canons with a lot of evidence, but who knows what Isayama intended. I'm hoping the new pages coming next year will be exploring Eren's mind and what exactly he experienced.

i almost lost my mind seeing all these videos saying the ending is good and it was deep and made sense, i never read the manga and i was an anime only guy and i still managed to see that the ending didnt make sense, i feel like the issue is that isayama tried way too hard to make the ending deep that he shot himself in the foot, eren was one of my favorite characters in fiction but that last episode was so bad it just left a bad taste in my mouth, its a real shame seeing this fall, (SPOILERS FOR BREAKING BAD ENDING) his last speech kinda reminded me of what walter said to skyler where he said that he did everything for himself and that he liked it, its the same idea but executed much worse with e ren, i think both endings are the same but the difference is breaking bad did it perfectly and the ending was a 10/10, while aot handled it so bad it just ruined all of the previous seasons one argument i see often is people saying eren is a good actor because of the ending even in seasons 1 to 3, eren 100% never acted up until he touched historias hand in season 3 i think, as he literally had no idea of the shitshow thats about to unfold then he started "acting", for us that acting was obvious, he tried to seem cold and distant from his friends to make them mentally ready to stop him if push comes to shove and sacrifice himself, but surprise surprise he was ALSO acting for the viewers which makes 0 sense as prior to s4p3 all his emotions felt real, for example the grisha stealing the founder scene, eren was so fucking angry he caused grisha to sense his emotion just by existing behind him, you are trying to tell me this was acting and he did all of this because he is an idiot?? for the eremika argument i think eren did like mikasa but he had a messed up childhood and had no time to understand what he was feeling and just (according to isayama) categorized his love for her as motherly love because at this point in time maybe he did this because the female figure he loves the most was his mother so he put her in the same tier thinking its the highest form of love? mikasa is definitely the closest to his heart alongside armin after his mother but as mentioned, he never had time to assess what these feelings are so he just threw them in the family category, that part in season 4 where he asks what she is to him he was trying to get her to say anything that would change the course of whatever the fuck he was cooking but she said family because i assume she said this because she thought that would be the answer he wanted to hear, and she isnt to be blamed all his actions so far screamed family, i personally wanted them to end together after all of this as they deserved a break i will try to imagine that aot only exists up until season 3 and the ocean scene is an open end or maybe even consider aot season 4 part 1 and 2 a continuation of it as i believe it couldve went well from there but all of part 3 is horrible, everything in the end amounted to nothing, all the people from paradis that died died for no reason, i think its stupid when they try to depict erwin and the other people that died as people who would agree to stop eren, i dont think erwin wouldve stood in erens way like armin did, usually i dont mald over endings like this but aot has been airing for so long and was a 10/10 show for the most part that seeing the ending like this its just sad, but at least now its over and i dont have to fantasize about a perfect ending great analysis, its a relief seeing someone analyze this correctly i thought everyone was gonna gobble this ending it drove me nuts
You could also image, that everything is a Loop until Erens death everything after is his dreaming he awakes under the tree and searches for a way to "smash that future" (SCNR for the My hero academia quote). And there are people who write an alternative Ending its not finished yet.
How is this a code geass ending? In code geass lelouch united the world against himself Eren knew the survivors of the rumbling would hate the eldians even more because of his actions I dont see how you think they're similar...
Eren made the World hate him but big but: His people were hated for thousands of years because of what some people did.. Yeah great Idea... But Eren killed so many, that the "can't fight back later"... Yeah but for whom? Eren never wanted to "save his race" only his friends but his friends would not be save even if he killed all "not Eldians".. Because there are Yeagerist Eldians and for them it would be perfectly logic to kill his friends because they killed there "savior" Eren.... And last Problem: The only reason why nobody became an new dictator in Code Geass was: Zero is here to fuck you over if you do so... After Ernes death nobody "protects the peace".. The last Marleys could attack Paradise (guerillia war style) or kill Armin and Co for what they did before they "saved the world"... Or Jaegerists could start a civil war in Paradise....
@@biggamer7245you can understand and dislike something you know. Please, drop the ego. And it’s the fault of the author, not the reader if large swathes of the audience can not comprehend.
I’m still confused on why ksaver said to Zeke the one who controls the power is the founder. U are just the key. This is when he was talking about zeke finding a guy with founding titan powers
That depends on the person, I personally like it when a show has good story, characters and world building which I think AOT did a good job with all 3 although there wasn’t much world building that got explored outside of the walls. I have friends that only like action in anime which I can see why and some people will like other parts and it’s just different for everyone.
I just got around to watching AOT with no spoilers and I really liked it and thought it was great… until the final season which ruined everything and now I regret wasting time with it.
Nah...just mean that you cant read. Blame Isayama for creating a world were Eren dont have any choice beside mass murder. The entire narrative is just about to kill or be killed. Isayama even showed that Paradis got wiped out later just because Eren left 20% of humanity.
38:30 I feel like this moment is widely misunderstood, Eren doesn't mean he does not know why he's doing what he's doing, he definitely knows, in fact, one of the most iconic dialogues from him is exactly his reasons behind why he's doing it, because he was born into that world. He feels he was (and literally was) born to accomplish Ymir's freedom and to get himself and Armin to that view. Ever since episode 2 in the boat after Reiner destroys the inner gate of wall Maria he has had clear why he wanted to wipe it all out and all of them out. He's saying he just doesn't know what pushed that desire onto him. Like what sparked that inside of him of wanting so badly to keep moving forward with the rumbling. That's why Armin's response is that it was most likely His fault (Armin) cause he made him dream of an ideal world outside the walls. Implying probably that Ymir's desire for freedom in itself wouldn't have been enough to convince Eren to go ahead with the rumbling, he reflects there had to have been something else. He might be an idiot yes, that could've been part of it too , an idiot with too much power, but that is just his guess since he couldn't think of any other reason, the real reason why was Armin. Not saying your interpretation is wrong, I've seen a lot more people take it that exact same way you protray it in the video. So maybe it has more to do with the episode in itself, still, just wanted to put my perspective out.
I am pretty sure Mikasa is the real reason tho? Maybe Armin had a part to play in it but if Mikasa had told Eren her feelings for him then I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have done the rumbling.
@@biggamer7245 yeah, she could have made him stay. But Eren by that point was already on board with the rumbling, Mikasa was like his way out of it, that’s why he tried asking her in hopes she would give him an answer that he had not heard in the paths, but when he got it and noticed it was already set in motion he couldn’t do much to change it. But the one who sparked the wish for an outside world with no people was Armin with the boom from their childhoods.
@@goyo_heh Yea I guess, although I am pretty sure that was one of the changes from the manga to the anime. Either way it does make enough sense to fit in to the story.

I hate how the anime even when it took an AOE but also saw how hated the manga ending was still decided to mostly go with it. I get honoring source material and the creator but that’s just a terrible decision
Attack on Titan has a bad ending and when you look deep into the anime writing story more and characters it seems to give off a fascist storyline from what many people noticed. They made Eren look like some kind of hero or someone we should like for killing 80% of the people when there could have been other ways for a happy better story ending..
If you think that they were trying to make Eren look like a hero for killing 80% of the world then I feel like that is something you misinterpreted. Of course people like Mikasa and Eren would be sad for killing him tho, he was someone dead to them even if he committed such a catastrophic genocide. The characters are going to feel certain ways about Eren but the author was in no way trying to make us think of him as a hero. Also I mean wanting a happy story is fine and all but something that I always felt was unrealistic for AOT in the first place. But your points don’t really add up to much other than “it was bad” and “it would be better if it was happy” and either way if Eren hadn’t killed 80% of the world Marley would have done it anyways. There was never a realistic happy ending for AOT with the direction it started going in from the start. Eren would have died because of the 13 years thing, same with Armin, Reiner, Annie, Falco, and sure maybe some people think it is great that eren freed all of his friends as well as all eldians from the burden of being a titan holder(cause if a titan isn’t inherited from the current holder being eaten by a titan then it is inherited after the titan holders death where the power goes to a randomly chosen newborn eldian) but I doubt many of us would see him as a hero for doing that.
There was no need to start the rumbling and genocide. The author could have changed the story and saved Eren’s character. To show Ymir Mikasa’s love for Eren, he killed 80% of the population of different parts of the world. Those people might not even know about Eldians. After plotting that story, it was the only option left to kill Eren. The author should have changed the story before the rumbling.

@@f2pcoder92 Erwin wasn’t the one to live though, also what if he was and all of the same stuff happened? Then people would say “well Armin should have lived” and it would have been the same argument of blaming the author because of who lived and who didn’t.
@@lxfj2128 It wasn’t the only way because Marley could have been the one to kill 80% of the world but sure, let’s just blame the author for not making 100% of viewers happy with the story. I mean I’m happy with the ending and the rumbling and all of that and I expect other people to not have been happy because that happens with everything. Also I mean saying the author should have changed an event like the rumbling lead me to ask like, change it to what? What could have replaced the rumbling and parts before it while making everyone happy with the ending, cause I don’t think there is such a thing.

Almost this entire video (or at least the retconned part) is upended by the fact that Eren’s views changed once he got the founders powers. From kissing Historia’s hand to Sasha’s death he was depressed but determined to find another way and tried his best but once he heard Sasha’s last words he knew nothing he did there would change anything. From Sasha’s death to him about to get the founder he is just dead set on getting the power by any means and is overly aggressive with it cause he’s also pissed that he can’t have it his way. When he gets it is when everything gets too much for him to handle and he has no real control like he thought he would because it still has to happen. He just needed to make a way where someone could stop him For the Mikasa thing I agree and disagree. He seems to go out of his way to defend her as his way of affection. Even in the paths where he has an infinite amount of time to be emotional he still just wants what’s best for her and tells her to throw away the scarf. That’s just how he is in the surface with her. Could it be more clear? Absolutely, so I see your complaint, but there is an argument for him being romantic with her.
Some might call it "inconsistency", but it seems funny that they tried making it look like paradis got destroyed in the very far out future, yet the canon shooters still looked like a 90s model

Eren used the founding titan in him to command the attack titan in him to send memories into the past and was able to manipulate the memories of all eldians(not sure if he is only able to do eldians but considering it is through the paths probably only eldians)
Eren manipulated himself and was like the director of his whole life without knowing why he was going in the direction he had been until he started the rumbling and all the other past attack titans also were influenced by him.
The 🐐 back on the routine

I get what you are saying, and yea, we could say that “he did it because he is an idiot” or “he did it because that is the future he saw” or “he did it because it was his destiny” or a whole other number of things.
@@biggamer7245 Yams is not derogatory, its just a nick name or hacksayma. Same I felt at first satisfied when it finished back in the manga ended. I watched previous to reading after S3 in 2018. I seen anime onlies discuss in a recency bias or using blanket statement of events to pretend that the flaws don't hurt the story. But there are so many dropped plot lines that's Isayama established long before the Marley invasion even when it comes to relationships and themes of ending generations war that was talked by Eren, surpassing the father, and the pregnancy plotline. Honestly it felt disoragnized, rushed, and forced "love" when it was all about obtaining freedom. Theres a reason why manga folk where upset at 139, we read for ten years straight to get to the message that "love prevails" over freedom and fighting for that freedom is nonessential because human nature.

I don’t feel the same way but I get what you are saying, I think that the way in which we saw who he was as we watched is a big part of experiencing the story and I don’t see it as a mistake. Just my opinion tho.

Which in a sense is what happened but in a less believable fashion.
@@bloomWF Ok, that does make sense but since he was going to erase Armin’s memory of their conversation anyways I though it was ok. Plus Eren didn’t have anyone to talk to or anyone to spill all the pain he was goin through to so Armin was someone he could rely on so he took his time talking to him like he was a friend rather than someone who didn’t know him. @@biggamer7245"I think" is a key phrase
@@annett_55555 It’s not like I’m going to say “I know,” it’s just that in *my* opinion I feel that the ending was more along with Eren’s character than against his character(or ruining his character). We all feel differently and I probably should have said “I feel” but at the end of the day it’s all the same.

@@biggamer7245 if you really sit down and watch it again it kinda does considering Eren killed his own mom for his own trauma and hatred towards titans which is bs because we already know he was already motivated to join the scouts anyways. @@biggamer7245you are either blinded by your love for attack on titan or you dont know what good writing is
This is my reckless assumption but I think somewhere along the lines (probably when the rumbling was activated) Isayama realized he made Eren too powerful to be stopped so he created multiple reasons as to Eren "lost".

@@biggamer7245 but attack on titan actually did come to this trope and became shonen-like
+ eren didn't know if his friends would survive but still put them in danger
Off topic but I'd like to talk about another character full of contradictions in the final episode
Just think about it: Isayama managed to create a silent character, with ZERO dialogue and ZERO monologue but still explore her backstory, struggles, suffering, mystery around her motivation, set such amazing parallels between her, the mc, historia, freckled Ymir, zeke and frieda only through her emotions and actions, symbolism and visuals, he connected it with aot's themes and its lore. He managed to write THIS... so she, ymir fritz, got to be destroyed by 3 (symbolism🤪) gd lines ("only Ymir knows...", "ymir loved the king fritz" and "she was waiting for mikasa")
Just... why? WTH?
I would take one more paragraph
Additionally, whose side is Ymir throughout the story on?

“Oh no the circle of violence will continue”
Yeah no shit sherlock, some Eldian killed 80% of the world population, you really thought the survivors would just forget about it???
But the Marleyans came a’knockin’ so Eren left their world a’rockin’ (literally)
But now Titans are gone, the only warfare that will happen from now on will be between humans and devices they made with their own hands, and Eldians are still equipped with gear that let them kill Titans.

Etc.Topics that most people either choose to ignore or don't have the balls to speak on or admit that their favorite series has actually gone down hill they are not ready to accept it but UA-camrs like you give me hope that there is critical thinking , common sense and Reading/Viewing comprehension is still left in UA-cam and Anime community..People like you are the voice of Ending Haters cause some people think that we hate the ending just for the sake of hating which is further away from the truth and that we just wanted a "Sunshine And Rainbows Of An Happy Ending" as if the ending they got isn't all Sunshine and Rainbows
P.s i will always remember AOT as "A story about Freedom that turned out to be a fanfic about Love" nah cause seriously it seems as if
AOT was a fanfic about Love all along..
Bertholdt-dina scene, the table scene are pretty bad too
Agreed, after Annie's return I knew the story would turn to shit.
@@biggamer7245 it's not because eren betrayed Zeke that I am saying that.

@@Valkyraw I thought that it made sense somewhat because of how the story was all built in and connected together. Also if he is lying what would be his reason for doing so? Is it to tell us things that we want to hear rather than what he actually thinks?

AOT is definitely NOT a masterpiece with THAT ending

Read better manga watch better anime they are out there. Watch Fullmetal Alchemist and Gurren Lagann.
Gonna put an explanation I came up with after someone responded to me after I basically said that Eren is responsible for everything even since before his birth because of the attack titan and how it transcends time and I now realize that this explanation is probably 100% true because of how much sense it makes when it comes to Eren being the mastermind of the fixed timeline that we have in AOT:
Basically but there is more to it(I recommend reading everything I say):
Eren was already transcending time within the paths(I will explain) before he was born but it is likely for a different reason that you would think. The attack titans influence itself is already transcending time before the user is born, because the attack titan sends memories through the paths and the paths transcend times themselves, but if that was all there might be a plot hole.
So unless if Isayama can come up with a better explanation, this is the way we have right now(it’s most likely correct but I don’t think it is 100% confirmed by Isayama or it might be idk) to explain how it worked in the timeline we have been watching:
There are already different timelines in AOT(Isayama has confirmed that there are different timelines) when we take all of AOT into account.
Extra stuff:
If you are wondering something like how Eren altered Mikasa’s memories, that is kind of simple.
My brother 😘

It also felt rushed which personally made me and many others really confused and even with them changing the conversation that Armin and Eren had with each other in the anime to make it better and more well planned out, it is still such a confusing ending because the amount of information they try and give us was on an immense scale, even for an episode that was 90 minutes long.
one of the best videos on this concept
Eren was stripped of his agency and became a passive character- one of the worst things for a character to be in fiction. I don’t understand how the writing took such a nose-dive after so many excellent seasons. More disappointing than GoT for me
The GOAT 🐐
What I really hate about the ending is why not just have Eren talk about how he was just fed up with war. War made him feel like a slave and it was plain to see in both the manga and anime. But instead, Eren just doesn't know and even does things to himself namely killing his mom to make himself do the rumbling. I'm all for show and not tell but if you're gonna make the characters tell don't make it a complicated mess.
genuine question, what about the scenees where season 4 eren is depicted as a child twice in the first special? how do you explain that?

Attack on retcon
conveyed by the final shot of the finale with erens tree growing and paradis develpoing in the back ground its clear that Eren achieved peace for Paradis for at least 1 thousand yrs. Yes he put his friends in danger initially which he regretted but his plan allowed them to die of old age
Changes i would consider better than what we got (a few things off the top of my head, feel free to add more):
1) Levi should have joined Eren because anything else is contradictory to his character. Levi always fought to free the people of the island and saw countless comrades die for that reason, also he saw his dearest friends get killed by the warriors, and now all of sudden he's a team with them because "le evil rumbling"??
2)Levi should kill Zeke and Annie and Reiner in the most brutal way possible (after Eren has used Zeke)
3)Someone kill Gabi please, she deserves it
4)Eren must complete the rumbling while killing his traitorous friends who betrayed their homeland and comrades
5)Floch should be glorified as the utmost embodiment of bravery, and heroism and have a statue built for him
6)Historia bares Eren's child, which he successfully saves and protects by a successful rumbling, thus surpassing his father and grandfather who failed to protect their children.(surpassing the father theme being concluded in the best way possible)
7)Ymir actually having a character and a brain
8)Mikasa being killed by someone after being shown that she never truly loved Eren, only the image of him she had created in her mind, otherwise she would have never fought against him
9)The plot about Mikasa being Hizuru royalty actually leading somewhere and being of significance to the story
10) Eren not killing his mom because that's totally insane and has no reason to happen
11)Eren not convincing Grisha to kill the Reiss, he was already a dedicated restorationist, had no need for being convinced.
Fr, this would be 1000 times better than what we got
Justice demands a successful Rumbling.
great video!

Amazing video like always. You explain things so well. It still surprises me that you don't get more views. But I guess that's the cost of being honest.
Great video!^^
After the finale, UA-cam recommended me a lot of videos claiming that that ending of Attack on Titan was a "masterpiece", and by hearing these kind of opinions, I felt bad that I didn't think about the finale that way.
What I liked about this video that it was well-explained, easy for me to understand (other analysis videos of Eren and other Aot characters are sometimes too complexly made, so I am lazy to finish them😂)
This was a really long comment, but I just had to write it out.^^ (And also sorry for my English!)
@@biggamer7245 exactly. I personally loved this ending but i always like hearing people talk about this show

To be fair, the plan worked. Eren did guarantee peace and freedom for his friends because the world was too injured to immediately retaliate, as we saw mikasa die of old age we know she lived as long as she could. Who would have thought? By the end of the story, the character that received the least amount of damage was someone who wasn’t introduced until mid Season 3.
This ended up longer than I meant it to, read at your own risk:
I love hearing these side of things, great video.
(Unless I'm misremembering the specifity of the lines.)
He was a slave to freedom AND determinism, because in pursuit of his freedom, he failed.
And also he doesn’t have a choice, he must activate the rumbling because it is in his character to do so, but after it was activated, letting his friends win is basically making the best of a bad situation.

i almost lost my mind seeing all these videos saying the ending is good and it was deep and made sense, i never read the manga and i was an anime only guy and i still managed to see that the ending didnt make sense, i feel like the issue is that isayama tried way too hard to make the ending deep that he shot himself in the foot, eren was one of my favorite characters in fiction but that last episode was so bad it just left a bad taste in my mouth, its a real shame seeing this fall, (SPOILERS FOR BREAKING BAD ENDING)
his last speech kinda reminded me of what walter said to skyler where he said that he did everything for himself and that he liked it, its the same idea but executed much worse with e ren, i think both endings are the same but the difference is breaking bad did it perfectly and the ending was a 10/10, while aot handled it so bad it just ruined all of the previous seasons
one argument i see often is people saying eren is a good actor because of the ending even in seasons 1 to 3, eren 100% never acted up until he touched historias hand in season 3 i think, as he literally had no idea of the shitshow thats about to unfold then he started "acting", for us that acting was obvious, he tried to seem cold and distant from his friends to make them mentally ready to stop him if push comes to shove and sacrifice himself, but surprise surprise he was ALSO acting for the viewers which makes 0 sense as prior to s4p3 all his emotions felt real, for example the grisha stealing the founder scene, eren was so fucking angry he caused grisha to sense his emotion just by existing behind him, you are trying to tell me this was acting and he did all of this because he is an idiot??
for the eremika argument i think eren did like mikasa but he had a messed up childhood and had no time to understand what he was feeling and just (according to isayama) categorized his love for her as motherly love because at this point in time maybe he did this because the female figure he loves the most was his mother so he put her in the same tier thinking its the highest form of love? mikasa is definitely the closest to his heart alongside armin after his mother but as mentioned, he never had time to assess what these feelings are so he just threw them in the family category, that part in season 4 where he asks what she is to him he was trying to get her to say anything that would change the course of whatever the fuck he was cooking but she said family because i assume she said this because she thought that would be the answer he wanted to hear, and she isnt to be blamed all his actions so far screamed family, i personally wanted them to end together after all of this as they deserved a break
i will try to imagine that aot only exists up until season 3 and the ocean scene is an open end or maybe even consider aot season 4 part 1 and 2 a continuation of it as i believe it couldve went well from there but all of part 3 is horrible, everything in the end amounted to nothing, all the people from paradis that died died for no reason, i think its stupid when they try to depict erwin and the other people that died as people who would agree to stop eren, i dont think erwin wouldve stood in erens way like armin did, usually i dont mald over endings like this but aot has been airing for so long and was a 10/10 show for the most part that seeing the ending like this its just sad, but at least now its over and i dont have to fantasize about a perfect ending
great analysis, its a relief seeing someone analyze this correctly i thought everyone was gonna gobble this ending it drove me nuts
You could also image, that everything is a Loop until Erens death everything after is his dreaming he awakes under the tree and searches for a way to "smash that future" (SCNR for the My hero academia quote).
And there are people who write an alternative Ending its not finished yet.
As beautiful as Attack on Titan is. We did get Game of Thronesed.
ending ruined the eren character
How is this a code geass ending?
In code geass lelouch united the world against himself
Eren knew the survivors of the rumbling would hate the eldians even more because of his actions
I dont see how you think they're similar...
Eren also united the world against himself
@@naylisyazwina6836no he didn't. He is no lelouch. He just made his nation vulnerable with their ultimate protection gone.
AoT Trash Ending 😢
It’s not trash, sure it was messy but if you think it is trash or that the story is trash you probably just are unable to understand parts of it.
@@biggamer7245you can understand and dislike something you know. Please, drop the ego. And it’s the fault of the author, not the reader if large swathes of the audience can not comprehend.
It’s the perfect ending and the only one that males sense. If you think it destroys a character than you were bust simping for eren and genocide.
@@monohe4d380bla bla 2 and 2 is 7 😂
If some one is saying that it was masterpiece that guy is bigger trash 😂
I’m still confused on why ksaver said to Zeke the one who controls the power is the founder. U are just the key. This is when he was talking about zeke finding a guy with founding titan powers
I don’t think Ksaver knew who controlled and maybe he just said that as an assumption based on research but either way that is an interesting point 🤔
At the end of the day AoT is nothing more but a shock factor show to entertain the audience not because of the story nor characters 😂
If you didn't think Erin was a fucking idiot the entire time then that says a whole lot more about you than this ending.
Nah...just mean that you cant read. Blame Isayama for creating a world were Eren dont have any choice beside mass murder. The entire narrative is just about to kill or be killed. Isayama even showed that Paradis got wiped out later just because Eren left 20% of humanity.
Oh, so eren was always a worthless character and not only in the ending? Wow, what a great defense
Tell me One Exemple of eren being dumb or a complete idiot.
@@randomusername3873
Eren did a lot. The only useless character on the narrative was mikasa
Also its Eren. You dont even know his name let alone his character
It was the last conversation with his best friend and he's still a fucking kid. What are these takes

I feel like this moment is widely misunderstood, Eren doesn't mean he does not know why he's doing what he's doing, he definitely knows, in fact, one of the most iconic dialogues from him is exactly his reasons behind why he's doing it, because he was born into that world.
So does Erin have free will or is he controlled by ymir's will?
@@biggamer7245 what part exactly do you mean? the scene in the manga plays the same
I hated the manga ending. I hated the anime ending. I hate how the ending was rewritten at least 3 times. I hate how the anime even when it took an AOE but also saw how hated the manga ending was still decided to mostly go with it. I get honoring source material and the creator but that’s just a terrible decision
I think what people are missing is that Eren never expected Armin to solve anything.
It was about just postpone the conflict.
Woo! Eren is back!
The author should have changed the story before the rumbling.
the whole world literaly declared an uncoditional war on elidans and their race and especialy paradis, the whole arc was wrong and different from the first 3 and fyi erwin should have lived with erwin there would be a better solution.
Blame isayama he wrote it that the rumbling was the only way to save paradise
@@biggamer7245the author us to blame because he wasted our time. We wanted an ending that made sense even if it cost the lives of characters we like. We wanted an ending that answered questions and tied loose ends. Instead we get a shitty ship and an ending that divides the masses.
He just needed to make a way where someone could stop him
For the Mikasa thing I agree and disagree.
