more than that it was said there was an agreement the exorcists wouldn't touch the hellborn like Charlie in Episode 1. He most likely couldn't intervene until they touched his daughter.
Alastor's backstory was already told in a comic. He was a Creole Voodoo Serial killer radio host shot buy a hunter in 1933 who mistook him for a deer while he was burying a body. That's why there used to be voodoo symbols every time he used his powers and why he has deer like elements.
@@rosenrot234 Are you sure, because the pilot is still considered canon and the show still references it with the X on his forhead like when he fought Adam. That's where he was shot in the comic. My point is there's no evidence she changed his backstory.
@rosenrot234 that may be true but i do believe that was how vivzi said he died in one of her q and a livestreams. shes been dropping the deep lore on livestreams for literally years.
What I love most is that before he finally kissed her, Pen told Cherri EXACTLY why he loved her before he actually said the word. He fell in love with her for her ingenuity, explosive personality, and creativity first and foremost. Yeah, Cherri's hot, but he loved her mind first and her soul second.
Honestly, noticing this too, I can see this being a HUGE plot point in her redemption, like I can see it now! She didn't want to join the hotel because she does everything on her own, but as we saw in the Addict music video she has her own baggage (dude looked like an abusive ex which would make sense as to the bond she has with Angel and the abuse they go through). It could be like Pentious showing her genuine care as being someone who cares FOR HER and not just the benefits she can bring to their lives. It would make so much sense and be so wholesome and thoughtful for the characters (really a big head cannon)
So if Sir Pentious dies redeeming himself and goes to heaven, when Adam dies being a tool bag does he go to hell as a demon and have to learn how to navigate hell as a “loser”?
YOOOO I actually thought of this but I didn't get the connection with his last word being "losers"! That's gotta be significant, right? I'm also low-key desperate to have him have a character arc especially because he'd be THE hardest challenge Charlie would ever have. Man's so hard to deal with on a good day! Who knows, maybe he'll be less insufferable with his ego stabbed in the back a baker's dozen times by a random maid
To be fair, not like Charlie went to her. They didn't know until the day before and nobody was on board with the Vees' plan. And Vox's hate boner for Alastor would not allow him to get involved. Honestly, Vox is not the brightest, but he'd rather watch Alastor lose than be part of the reason Alastor wins.
Mmm, wouldn’t make sense for her to help at this circumstance. The Vee’s, or more specifically Vox has beef with Alastor. Val’s complex relationship with Angel and especially with how Angel last acted with him, probably makes him not give two shits. They have every reason to wish the main cast dead.
I honestly don't think the Vees ever actually had an "assault plan". I think Velvet is specifically a manipulative, shit stirring overlord. I think she went to that meeting with the full intention of wanting to push a wedge between the controlling powers. Inspiring some to run twords what appears to be an impossible fight, and some to hide away in fear. In the end, it leaves all the overlords "hanging by a thread" and in the chaos of the aftermath, the Vees being the vultures that they are, come in to pick up what power is left.
Sirpentious isn't just an angel, he's a new Seraphim. They have many eyes. That is the significance of being added directly into a room with the other two.

Alastor seems pissed that he almost died with people believing he cared for his friends. @VerneDoran was that stated by the creators somewhere or something? Seems to me like he simply redeemed himself and happened to then die. The divine laser might be part of it, but the more important aspect to me seems to be the selflessness Sir Pentious displayed during the battle. Unless season 2 takes a very different stance on genocide, it feels like it gels better with the themes of the show for the sinners to not need to be impaled on an angelic spear to get a spot in heaven.
They...they did cover how they get the angelic weapons. Exorcists leave a lot of them behind after an extermination, carmilla carmine collects them, melts down the metal and makes new weapons which she can then sell
I think people knew that Charlie was extremely powerful; she just hadn't allowed herself to use her powers until this fight. As for Alastor, I personally think whatever deal he made restricts him from using his full powers (he basically says as much when he has his brief breakdown at the end), so I wouldn't necessarily say he's overestimated. He didn't even turn into his full demon Wendigo - looking form here; I still don't think we've seen him fight at full strength.
@@corinna007Buddy he most certainly doesn't confirm that and could very well just be talking about being forced to stay at and genuinely try to protect the hotel.
It made sense to underestimate her since she let others do the dirty work for her until she felt like she'd actually lose everything and everyone she worked hard for. Alastor showed his power constantly. So you never knew when and if she'd even use her actual power.
Yeah, but in the power scale, that is Canon, but everyone ignores she is way higher up than everybody except Lucifer and Lilith. And full form or not Alastor is extremely powerful but only for a sinner and an overlord. Viv said that stolas being a hellborn royal would beat him in a fight.
Sir pentious has become code geass's orange boi, a joke character that was planned to be killed off instantly but kept being brought back by fan demand until he was a cyborg with an anti-magic aura that hijacks mechs with a sword.
@@autinjones7194 I'm under the impression that the Egg-Bois are something Pentious created himself somehow, as I find it difficult to believe that Pentious found that many Sinners with identical forms and low IQ willing to serve him; the Egg-Bois even question if they have names, which means they'd either have to be dumb enough to not understand that they are unique individuals that can have names to aid in identification, or they have have no memories of their time alive and thus little concept of what it means to have a name. My personal theory is that Pentious figured out that he could create his Egg-Bois using the power of the souls that he's acquired as an Overlord, but he quickly found out that the things he can create are weak, simple-minded, and probably take a disproportionate amount of power to create and maintain, so he only made so many of them before deciding to redouble his efforts as an inventor.
@@Brutalyte616 That makes sense. It would be a little strange if they were all sinner class demons who all just happened to have the exact same personality and appearance. @@autinjones7194 Well... some reptiles CAN do that, although I can't think of any species of snake that comes to mind that's capable of self-insemination, and that process usually creates full-on clones of the 'mother' organism, so really if that was true then we would have multiple versions of Pentious running around. You know, one should have realized a story when a villain becomes a friend of the heroes and then dies in a BAMF way for them is called a REDEMPTION ARC.
Adam's "Suck my holy lightning, fuckers!" is a direct reference to Tenacious D's Beelzeboss, where Satan says "Taste my lightning, fuckers!" Interesting reference being a holy person referencing the Lord of all Darkness. Adam's even doing the same devil horns while he's doing it, too.

How he was redeemed was he did the ultimate selfless act by sacrificing himself to protect the ones he grew to love as family. But also to protect cherri bom the woman he loves.
My only guess as to why Lucifer showed up so late is probably due to more of Heaven's rules. When the deal was made, he probably wasn't allowed to step in unless directly attacked. I assume Charlie creates a bit of a loophole where if she is directly attacked, then he can step in. And I assume he didn't step in the first time she got hit is because he knows Charlie doesn't want to rely on him. Once it was clear she had lost the fight, however, then all bets were off and he could step in guilt-free and without breaking any rules. I'm assuming anyway. He could just be a fuckup.
It makes so much sense that sir pencious can be redeemed and end up in heaven, despite trying terriblely to kill the people at the hotel he's basically just a cartoonish villain that was trying to best people like alastor and cherry bomb. And compare him to being more likely to be redeemed than say someone as horrible as Valentino then he's defiantly got a better chance at it.(Plus the guys been harmless after losing his airship, only just a bit of paranoid before making friends with the rest of the hotel)
It's important that Sir Pentious was not killed by an Angelic Weapon, but just by a holy blast. As a sinner killed in hell, he should have reconstituted himself in time. But rather than it happening in Hell, it happened in Heaven this time. Wouldn't have happened if killed by an angelic weapon in the Purge however.
@@brianl8481 i think that everytime a soul in hell "dies" (not by exorcist) they under-go divine judgement again, but because people think hell is the end of the road they never try to improve, so they fail divine judgement and are sent back to hell. 45:30 Charlie did not make things worse. The Angels plan to exterminate all of hell because one angel was killed by a Overlord. Everyone just assumed it was Charlie's fault.
I theorize that during the meeting, Velvette was actually trying to gaslight the other overlords into fighting the exterminators so that the Vees could rise to the top of the order.
That honestly makes sense and now knowing what some of the weapons are made of, it makes me curious if there's any deeper meaning to "that's what the weapons you sell are for"
@@GoodTimeForARoll That's something I didn't consider. Could Velvette have known precisely how Carmilla killed the angel all along? Given how the Vees have cameras all over Pentagram City, who knows what sort of Intel they have on their rivals.
I believe that Lucifer's comment on how Eve "didn't hate what he had to offer" was more referring to how he gave her the Apple of Knowledge. Then again, considering that Eve is sometimes regarded as the "first sinner" I can definitely see Lucifer hooking up with her after she ended up in Hell, depending on how his relationship with Lillith was at the time.
1. Pentius (Nux) proving sinners CAN be redeemed was something I expected to happen, just not this soon 2. I appreciate that they showed off the power scaling here. Adam nearly killed Alastor and Lucifer treated Adam like a joke. Lucifer's mess up of his line at 36:58 and the visible concern from everybody but Angel, Valentino and Velvet was hillarious too lol 3. Lillith being in Heaven all this time and Alastor being visibly distraught at having to be altruistic due to whatever deal he made has so many potential implications. Season 2 , which IS confirmed to alredy be in production, is going to be AWESOME!
The sheer gap in power seems to really give a bit of scale, doesn't it? Previously, a lot of us judged power based on how flashy their powers were. Yet here we see Lucifer casually ragdolling Adam without putting on that much of a show. Compare that to Alastor, who was definitely outmatched yet made an entire performance out of it. Flashy =/= Power, which this episode definitely proved. Also, Charlie is the 3rd most powerful being in Hell, and she seemed to be slightly weaker than Adam. This implies that, if Lucifer wasn't there, Adam probably _could_ have killed everyone in Hell on his own. Other Sinners? One hit kill. Hellborn? Same as Sinners, probably easier as most of them don't have powers like Sinners do. Overlords? Takes some time, but easy. Demon Royalty? Same as Overlords. Deadly Sins? If he can beat Charlie, he can beat the Deadlies (minus Lucifer).
I honestly hope Adam isn’t dead and like how pensious was killed and turned into a redeemed sinner, I’d love to see Adam revealed to have been revived as a sinner, and we see him get a redemption arc
First to really try to redeem himself. Out of sheer gratitude for Charlie. In an act of self sacrifice. First to actually make it to heaven. Fucking beautiful.

Absolute fucking legend.
Let's goooo, this ending was Epic and i couldn't wait for you to react to it. I love that we got to see Alastor vs Adam(Alastor needing to actually try in a fight and meet his match which we have never seen), Charlie vs Adam (Charlie is more powerful than Alastor but has absolutely no training or fighting experience so she gets taken down easy unlike Alastor who put up a fight), Lucifer vs Adam (there was no way Adam was winning this, Lucifer has way more power than him and the experience using it, Lucifer knew he had that fight won and that's why he was just goofing around the whole time) and finally Nifty vs Adam (Ambush is the most effective battle tactic, also Nifty was practicing a very important lesson, ALWAYS END THE BLOODLINE). I love that we got to see Alastor without his composure when he was talking about his deal, he's always so calm, cool and collected that it's difficult to read him, but here we get to see how he actually feels and that puts severity on the situation coz we now know he is desperate to get out and Charlie owes him a favour, this can't end well Can't wait for season 2, so many hanging plot threads to explore

I really hope they bring that up to her at the next overlord meeting-
To be fair, not like Charlie went to her.

2. I appreciate that they showed off the power scaling here. Adam nearly killed Alastor and Lucifer treated Adam like a joke.
Lucifer's mess up of his line at 36:58 and the visible concern from everybody but Angel, Valentino and Velvet was hillarious too lol

Seriously, if all of season 2 isn’t about Sir Pentious’ adventures in Heaven
I will be very disappointed.
Agreed
Well not all of it. 2 episodes at most
I like how we're not opposed to the idea of Sir Pentious getting a focused episode, lol.
I hope we get some episodes, but it depends how many episodes Vivziepop was given.
Wonder when season 2 is out
I think Longinus had a quote that was something like "One soulful work full of heart and passion, even full of errors, is infinitely more sublime than a thousand soulless yet technically perfect ones". The success of indie shows like this really just goes to show that what we need right now isn't brain-melting CGI or remakes of things we already like just shittier and with 'better' graphics, we need unique directors with unique visions to be able to take up these tools and forge masterworks.
Congrats nux you made it to heaven. Never thought it would happen
Edit: e
I do believe it’s Saint Pentious now. Also Adam always had that “peaked in high school” energy it’s just on full display here.
and Alastor did lost to Adam, but he was the only character that "tanked" one of the holy lights attacks (probably because he couldn't dodge, and i don't he how he couln't, but still was the only one that tanked a holy light)
He could, but he was screwing around too much. It’s his pride
That fact that Adam could’ve ended the whole fight with one beam of holy light but lost because he was cocky is perfect
In life, Sir Pentious was known as Cobra Commander.
Also NGL, screamed "Witness Me!" When after he kissed Cherry Bomb.
I really appreciate that Nux understands what a great character Adam is.
I feel like Sir Pentious knew he was gonna die for doing this, but he knew that his death and sacrifice would give Charlie the push she needed to fight Adam head on, and for that sacrifice, where he gave his life to protect his friends and allies, he got redeemed and sent to heaven.
I love that we got to see Alastor without his composure when he was talking about his deal, he's always so calm, cool and collected that it's difficult to read him, but here we get to see how he actually feels and that puts severity on the situation coz we now know he is desperate to get out and Charlie owes him a favour, this can't end well
Can't wait for season 2, so many hanging plot threads to explore
No wonder Adam acts the way he does, he looks like a complete Kyle
Sadly, he's based off his VA XD
Dude this finale was insane. Lucifer coming in to save the day beating the fuck out of Adam. Then nifty stabbing him to death to Pentious going to heaven to finding out Lillith wanted Adam dead n was hiding in heaven. So fuckin good can't wait to see season 2
