This channel will be one of the most successful on youtube. Toms knowledge is extremely awesome
... and his presentation is friendly and accessible.
Hope so, he’s a good guy
Only 11% better though.
And he’s actually an engineer. Matt wishes he was 😂
@@servicedogojokeguys2967hey now don't bash Matt. He's a farmer and farm boys know how to fix damn near anything with nothing but a shoelace and a stick. Dude does amazing for the qualifications he doesn't have
I love that you add some family stuff in your videos. Your a good guy Tom Tom
As much as i like matt, i really am happy to see you doing these projects in a more thought out manner. I really enjoy a well thought out project that is executed with attention to detail.
Ditto. Love Matt, love Tom. Two different approaches. Yes.
Everyone comment twice and thumbs up for Tom. He’s a good role model for our children. This is so important that men like this exist in the public eye. More important than you can possibly imagine.
Twice. + a 'Reply' .
Totally agree
Hell ya!
Comment
I agree. So many channels with cussing and taking Gods name in vain. Kids don't need to hear this on You tube nor get exposed to attitude issues.
“ Somebody declawed my hammer 🔨” 😂😂😂
Matt?? Is that YOU?!?!
A man with his air compressor and tire gauge at the end of the trail. Beautiful.
Tip to Tom Tom....please tone down the music! Very old crotchety guy here who doesn't like having to adjust the volume when the music comes on. Other than that, really like your approach to fabrication and your subject matter. Keep up the good work and I'm sure your subscription numbers will grow fast! Cheers! 😄
I agree. The music gets kind of irritating. Why not skip the music altogether.
I love the sped-up welding shots. That's really neat.
.. and the "Sunday shop videos".
Definitely the welding speed up is def
I thought he was running a really hot welder.
Your videos are top tier. No fluff just and inside look into what you have going on. I will be watching every minute of every video you post. Thanks
Ditto
Ilove how Tom always has packs a little boys lunch. Lol
Because it’s Tom’s lunch, it’s now a grown man’s lunch too and he’s not afraid to admit it! 😉👍
Yeah, he’s not blowing $20 on a lunch. I tend to think of those expenditures as monthly… So $600 a month for lunch… See what I did there
I like a nice cold glass of milk with my PBJ.
I'm a retired trial attorney, PB&J was my go to trail lunch - quick to prepare, can't spill it on your clothes, fills you up.
PB&J is my daily lunch. I’m 71.
Hope we all don't get flash burn from watching Tom-Tom weld?!
/s 🤣
Others have already said, but yeah the sped up welding shots are VERY cool. And the award for the best use of a trash can goes to... LOL
You get a ton of content into one video..lot of tubers would stretch this into two hrs of downloads..well done Tom.
The Rubbermaid jack stand worked great!!
Tom Tom brings a nice mix of content combined with his personality taking us along for the ride! I am in. 👍
Big improvement over the stock bumper
So totally agree.
But you know Tom, that rear bumper looks really wimpy now.
Barnes is really making it easy for you to do some mods. That's a nice kit they've come up with. A little DIY, a little manufactured.
Hey Tom Tom! Happy Mothers day Angela!
👍 to Tom’s hardwork and Awesome Channel
No rust. 24 years old. You guys have no idea how fortunate you are. My truck won't pass inspection because there's a rust hole in the frame.
My truck has a rust hole in the frame as well, thankfully my state doesn't require inspection. It's the rustiest vehicle in my fleet yet its the newest🤣 but gets driven the most.
My radiator is resting on the frame from the core support rotting out on my old beat up f150. Still runs great. The body is just rotting off it.
Oh heavens, another "must watch" channel on my growing list. Master craftsmanship is wonderful to watch along with the personalities! Thank you for bringing us along Tom (Tom) - much appreciated. Looking forward to all the adventures you have to offer...
I like it when you FAST FORWARD THE WELDS! Yeah baby
Tom Tom, you're an artist. That bumper isn't a bumper. Bumpers bounce, this thing is going through stuff! A Masterpiece of strength.
Tom already has 160k subscribers!! Wow!
Thank you, Tom-Tom. Forgive us, we miss you AND forget you have your own site! Enjoy your knowledge
Garbage can helper for the win.
Nicely done. ❤️
Things you do when you're alone!
Tom is like the Bill Nye of Off-road Fabrication! Fun and exciting with tons of knowledge. Peppered with dad jokes. 😂
The bumper stood up to the test. Those were some neat cars they are building at BYU.
Good choice in music toward the end!
Really looking forward to watching the XJ's transformation into ....??? Into what ever you make will be awesome.
i could totally see Tom Tom doung his own tv show much like Stacy David.
The editing is on point. Congrats on your future success.
No icing, just good family fun. The "logging" part reminds me how our kids grow up adults. (My son is 6.3, I'm 6.0) Use to call him "little big man", NOW HE IS! 😮
The XJ is looking really good. That front bumper looks awesome. I think you are doing a fantastic job building the XJ for off-road and rock crawling.
Your attention to details never surprises me! Keep them videos coming!
Great project! No dramatic junk,
Thanks
Thanks for including the part about helping the kids out at BYU, and in your last video telling us the story about you and Matt on your missions, I enjoy hearing about stuff like that and it makes me like and respect you guys more knowing these things about you both.😁
Tom Tom, have you ever thought about being an adjunct instructor for welding or pre-engineering at a community College or trade school? You would be awesome I think (and I have 35 years of teaching experience under my belt to base that on.)
Awesome Video Tom Tom, was cool seeing you do family things
Tom, your utube is the first one I check out each day. Darryl
Love these random road trips!
Love the "BRUTE" force bumper install . Just like everyone else, the high speed welding made me smile.
Keep the vid's coming Tom! Really enjoy seeing what you're up to!
Great stuff Tom, you' re channel is gonna go crazy; your knowledge and experience are amazing! Being a welder and fabricator are amazing gifts and save soooooo much $$$ and errors others would make....not to mention you're on YOUR timeline, not someone else's.....
Tom Tom's videos have quickly shot to the top of one's to watch. I always can't wait for the next one to come out.
Nothing like watching Tom Tom after some Matt Matt
Wow, those welds look amazing. Great video Tom Tom!
This channel is like project farm mixed with Matt’s off road
Excellent work Tom. You are a man among men.
Thanks for being so willing to let us into your life and show us how to do things correctly.
I'm loving the new channel Tom Tom!!!!!!! You're just amazing!!!
I really like the channel Tom! The content, pace, and editing make this fun to watch. My only suggestion would be to tone down the music a bit. I keep turning it up when you talk and down when the music cuts in. Admittedly, I'm not a loud music guy.
You know what makes the Banana do so well. So you can pick what you want to copy from it . Cool bumper. It probably saves you a lot having the customers weld it ✓
A man with a Plan…Tom Tom ‼️🥰
I love the accelerated welds.. it makes it look like you can weld at super human speed.
I really like how squared away you are preparing to do a project.
I don't know how, but you make it look so easy, great job Tom Tom
Love Tom's channel!
So cool 🏴☠️ 🏁
Adventurous and educational
Tom your doing just GREAT! Refreshing to watch.
Get softer suspension with more travel for dig dug! Also give it a boom arm and turn it into a mini wrecker! Would be sick to see little dig dug with its little boom following the wrecker one day as support
Harbor Freight makes a hydraulic lift table that is awesome. It raises high enough to unload from a truck bed. Would work great lifting that bumper for you.
Love your ingenuity at doing things solo...
Loving it.
If YOU add a former Miss Hurricane in fake eyelashes; You're done too. :D
that bumper looks great and i really enjoyed the speed welding and the overall mix in the video. A little buggy building with kids here, a little family there, a sprinkle of fabricating decorated with a topping of going offroad. Perfect.
Like the rod iron look of the bumper with the Faded paint job...contrast is Good with each other
That was cool to get to help out with some college project. I hope their race went very well. I am gonna have to ask my friend with an electric car the last time he got an oil change lolol. Thanks for the video!
I vote for keeping the bumper the color it is now. Clearcoat it! It looks great.
Thumbs up on brevity and dynamic cutting Tom. Good ducking on the music too...
You got an awesome shop going on there! I enjoy watching and learning from your videos!
Matt found his "modified" hammer! 😁 Loving the bumper fab. Watching you work reminds me of a sculptor's response when asked how he created statues, "I start with a stone and just chisel off everything that is not the statue". Perfect.
Really fine work. Loved all the extra trip info (BYU and log gathering). Enjoying the videos you're putting out and look forward to others in the future.
Bumper looks awesome on the XJ. Your welds are a work of art.
The welds on that bumper were beautiful, and then you cleaned it up anyway. And unpainted it goes really well with the silver paint on the XJ. The BYU cars were cool too!
I'm a big fan from ethiopian
You have an effective & very organized site. You put a great deal of information, work & know how into a 'short show'. Very impressive, thanks
Pace and content were excellent with constant voice over. Super well done TomTom!!
Loving that Tom has his own channel now. Mad Barnes4wd still doesn’t make a bumper kit for my Toyota t100 😂
Love the new channel and your attention to detail. Wishing you the best and excited to be along for the ride!
Fun to watch your video Tom-Tom nice looking bumper on the jeep. Glad you liked the pomegranate jelly thanks again for your help with the wheelchair.
That’s so cool you sent him the jelly!
Can you share the maker of the jelly?
You put a great mix of family stuff and work activities in your videos. The eclectic mix is enjoyable. Thanks.
Happy Mother's Day.
That bumper looks 11% more precise than the banana.
Nothing better then spending time with family.
The channel is just right. The technical versus practical is spot on. This channel is a keeper. Thanks Tom.
Tom tomorrow just seems like a really good guy, he’s that neighbor every wants when they have auto issues.great content Tom Tom.
I love that Silerstone Metallic color, I had a 00 XJ "Desert Sand Pearl" aka Grandpa Gold but sold it in a pinch, biggest regret in my car owning life. Matt carved up Jamie's "Amber Fire Pearl" XJ aka The Tangerine for a project but if he knew how rare that color option was he probably wouldn't have did it. His Banana XJ was originally "Maroon" which was also a rare color finish. The XJ is one of the best mid sized 4x4's ever made. Everyone loves to drive them because they handle like a sports car which makes them super fun to drive. The XJ platform is awesome and the after market parts are endless! I can't wait to see what Tom Tom does with this XJ. BTW, Matt is on the lookout for the culprit who cut the claw off his hammer! He might seek revenge soon Tom Tom!
That's a nice bumper, Tom-Tom! Know what would have made it even nicer? A couple of coats of matte black paint!
Good stuff Tom Tom!
Love your humor, my favorite was putting wheels and tires on a wrecked truck on a mountainside calling for a torque wrench classic Tom Tom
OK. Tom is amazing. What can't he do?
Great stuff, Tom!
I'm jonesing for your upcoming WJ builds.
Your on to something here Tom. Love Matt's but this is a variation for welders and builders with more focus. Nice to see a guy who can really weld and plan a project.
Loving the look of that heat affected zone !
Nice work on the battery terminal nut with a "Crescent' wrench, or adjustable wrench. When I was a kid in the 50's they were all made by Crescent.
It was really cool you went out and helped the students at the University.
What a sweet looking XJ!
thats a really nice clean looking bumper Tom, it goes together well too. thanks for sharing
Push to get Tom Toms channel more subscribers, and more support!!!
Nice work Tom on that bumper, really cool. Kids at BYU are awesome.
You’re the man!
Your bottoming out issue is easily solved with the correct shock absorber system. That coupled with jousts stops work really well with softer springs. Thats the approach I took with my JKU and she’s a heavy rig at 6,800 lbs; big V8 and armoring sure add up the pounds. Love your channel, keep going, it’s getting better and better.
6800?? How? That's insane. My TJ weighs 3100 with a winch and bumpers and big heavy inline 6.
@@upscaleshack 4 door JKU + iron block LS 6.0 + 37” tires on heavyweight rims, heavy duty 3.5” x 1/2” tubed axle housings, body armor, full length custom 5/16” skid plates, two, dual ARB compressors, 9 gals extra fuel, large ARB refrigerator on a 45lb slider, 12 gallons water storage, recovery gear, lots of tools, winch, Ursa Minor camper top, large awning, lots of food, my dog, my beautiful wife and my fat ass add up to 6,800 lbs when we roll out. 😆
@@ventureoffroading Just casually living so many a man's dream. Good on you, Sir. I hope that thing gets used and abused.
IDK guys, maybe you could just put a 1000 pound bumper on the rear Tom.
I did SAE Baja in Alaska, it was awesome seeing you visit the BYU workshop!
Nice video Tom, very well edited. People kill me when they put too much explanation or end up repeating themselves a bunch. I like how simple the Barnes fab kits are.
