As Geekdom mentioned, Vegeta's speech at the end of Z is not him stating he's giving up on his goal to surpass Goku or that Goku will always be better, despite what a lot of people say. It was rather an acknowledgment that Goku deserves full respect as a warrior regardless of the Saiyan class/social structure. We see in Super he's still angry and competitive when Goku achieves new feats, but unlike most of Z, it's because of a more friendly competitive rivalry rather than some deep seeded psychology involving social class.
It evolved throughout Super too, but more subtle.
These days I feel the attitude is more "Hey best buddy! Look what I can do! Top that!" Because it's more about beating your past self every day and seeing what the other guy does just fires you up to do more yourself.
Finally someone gets it!
Thats why vegeta doesn't kill him when frieza requested him to. He needs goku to keep finding levels new levels of power so he can find new levels himself
Vegeta has came along way. He even would save Kakarot in a pinch if needed out of respect and he also needs a sharp rival to keep him in shape.
@@derekclawson5707 just like when Android 20 was wallopin on Goku cause of his bad heart at the time. Vegeta came in and straight up taught an inanimate object the definition of terror
I would argue that Vegeta has gotten the most if not the only real development in Super.
@@johnnyd3158 have you even watched super🤦♂️
@@TheTrueAegonTargaryen super definitely doesn't do anything to further his development. It's done stuff we've seen before. Granted, they haven't made him go completely backwards as much as Goku, but the real development was absolutely in Z
Gohan has had character development too
Super it’s Arguable still might say Goku or Gohan but in Z it’s for sure Goku imo.
I watched DB since the RR army days and Goku's character has never really changed much, just in subtle ways. In my perspective he is the ideal of hope. Vegeta though undergoes drastic changes in personality since meeting Goku - from being a savage, someone with a grudge and selfish, to being almost human and capable of being thoughtful in ways Goku is not.
Since Vegeta got Ultra Ego, it would be nice to see him dealing the finishing blow to defeat a main villain even just for once.
Spoiler alert, he defeats Moro.
@@tylerharris1163 but he didnt
It'll never happen since the creator dislikes him and Goku is best boy forever

@@chicken8139 he should have been the one to kill cell with final flash
What I appreciate is the fact that he finally managed to “go back to his old self.” He’s been metaphorically trying to return to his ruthless self for a long time and he’s finally achieved it the right way without losing himself in the process.
Facts💯💯💯
I get that but it doesn’t really progress his character, he’s supposed to be over that whole phase of his by now, majin vegeta is literally that
It’s just an excuse for vegeta to be ruthless at this point
@@rando9326 you just proved his point. When he went majin he did it the wrong way, he threw away himself for power, but for ultra ego he instead makes himself stronger through his ruthlessness
@@rando9326 it perfectly progresses his character. Beerus looked him in his eyes and told him he got strong being himself and he will only get stronger by being himself again. when it clicked it advanced his powers to new heights. literally ends the turmoil inside of him and increases his power substantially because of it. he can be the person he wants to be and the hero of his family and one of the heroes of earth at the same time. thats some deep advancement
@@SunshineTheLover that logically makes sense
But narratively it’s stupid and that’s my point
Yes toyataro provided a good explanation and reasoning as to why vegeta is back to his older ways
But from a narrative standpoint, it feels like vegeta regressed as a character. For example, piccolo’s character arc was to become a better person by the end of the saiyan arc due to gohan, now imagine if in order for him to get stronger he would have to go back to his demon king ways. That would be stupid right?, same thing applies here
People miss the point of Vegeta VS Toppo so much and I think it's the greatest instance of character development in all of DBS. Vegeta is basically fighting someone who made the same choices he did in the Buu saga. Toppo was incredibly powerful and prideful, but he gave up his pride for a power boost. Vegeta did the same thing with Majin Vegeta in the Buu saga. When he used the Final Atonement to defeat what is basically the guy he used to be, he didn't die from it. You can say it's because Blue has way better ki control or because Vegeta is stronger, but the narrative reason is that Vegeta has nothing to atone for anymore. Toppo did.
Ultra Ego is such a good form for Vegeta because he's 100% true to his own pride and values and this is a showcase of it. DBZ Vegeta talked a lot of shit all the time but at the end of the day he only ever beat people weaker than him. Vegeta VS Toppo was probably the first time he squared up to someone stronger and won the fight. (Remember that Golden Frieza was a match for Goku's full power at this point and Toppo bodied him with ease)

WOAH 😲 Dragon Ball is so DEEP
Yooo i never noticed that, this is crazy, dragon ball has a hidden deepness about it.
Not Goku's full power. They were equal in True Golden and Blue. Goku still had Kaioken on top of Blue. But no yeah that fight was pretty deep when you look into it. Vegeta faces his Buu Saga self and comes out on top.
@@ragin142 Dragon Ball is a really simple show and plot but that doesn't mean it has no depth at all. People pass it off as dumb and linear because it's simple which is really a shame.

While I love dragon ball overall. The super anime was so up and down whether it was good or bad. The super manga was far superior than the anime and I hope when super comes back they follow the manga rather than do it’s own thing. Other characters were actually useful in the manga!

“Sometimes it’s ok to destroy”- this realization for vegeta reminds me of teen gohan but its just on a grander scale and more unique being that it’s a character that still allows goku to be himself and show the duality of man and how it can still work together. Great vid
His time among the earthlings had truly made him soft. Beerus had to help him temper the two sides, the brash selfish youth made him exploitable through overconfidence, his softening made him exploitable to threats and doubt. He can use that power for the right reasons
4:55 These's a genuine doubt. We see kid Vegeta not being bothered by destruction of planet Vegeta and we say that's a proof of Vegeta not caring for weaker ones and that being the reason he never revived the planet. But when Frieza killed him on namek there's a pretty emotional dialogue from Vegeta saying how he didn't choose this life and how he wants Goku to take the revenge for planet Vegeta. If Vegeta didn't care about his people why would he act so emotionally attached ?
To me i always saw vegeta fighting between two personalities. That of being a caring person and that of having ego.

Watching this makes me yearn for an ending in which Vegeta can truly laugh with Goku and friends. Not to say he can’t be serious when he fights, but he can learn to simply enjoy the way his friends are.
I find this to be truly wholesome.
I think he does, it just shows it in a very Vegeta way.
I think he's pretty close to that, now. At least in the manga, he was pretty friendly during the latter half of Super; socializing with the cast before the ToP, playing video games with them during the Trunks arc, etc.
he does but he justified doesn’t show it
Won't happen unfortunately... and the reason is quite simple. It's the same reason why he resonates d most with me. He is a narcississt. Despite his best efforts, he can't accept being (appearing) weaker than his loved ones.

When they eventually fuse again, it will be a sight to behold.
The ultimate warrior, wielding the powers of both ego and instinct.
Something tells me they're incompatible
Tapping to either one of the techniques requires a opposite ways it’s like a Yin and Yang. The user’s mind should be harmonious (UI) and destructive (UE) in order to attain both forms at the same time. But it would be impossible as one of each fused has a dominant consciousness Goku for Gogeta and Vegeta for Vegito. This is one of the best videos you’ve ever done geekdom.
Ultra Ego and Ultra Instinct are probably based on Freudian's theory of Id and Ego, or more correctly it's bastardization.
Ultra Instinct is a transformation that came from unconscious thought, or unconscious movement due to Goku's inherent Saiyan's battle mindset, his genius battle instinct and his countless battle experiences.
While Ultra Ego came from the conscious thought and conscious movement of Vegeta, his pure enjoyment of battle and saiyan savagery directly increases his power. When Beerus was talking about expunging sins, he probably meant that Vegeta should stop his Super Ego (moral and principle) from holding back his Ego (conscious battle lust) in battle. Toyotaro probably named Ultra Ego as an antithesis of Goku's Ultra Instinct, and also because Vegeta is quite an egotistical person.
*I believe just like when Goku unlocked a incomplete ultra instinct form before mastered. Ultra Ego may be an incomplete form of destruction*
It has to be he even apologized to beerus for not reaching its full potential.
I mean if you can’t control the form that means it’s incomplete as vegeta couldn’t and also felt sorry to do yea no
Which should mean Ultra ego mastered would be way stronger then mui

I really wish the manga would mange to explain(similar to how geekdom did) why he couldn't go full power against granola and see vegetables go against gas with ultra ego and finally stomp a main baddies' ass, would be so satisfying(even is gas ain't the main baddie).
@@cognitivestate9512 because he just learned it… same with Goku and UI…
@@seymourbutts5941 its deeper than that though. He couldn't go full power, because he had subconscious reservations when fighting granola. To truly go full power, he needs to fight someone who pisses him off to the point that he has nothing to lose, so he can embrace that destructive side of himself again. Like, maybe if a villain destroys earth and kill his family, he will be so angry that he will embrace that darkness from his past to utilize it fully.
Vegeta has pretty much all the character development in dragon ball.
Vegeta allowed himself to take to much damage when he fought granola. He got drunk on that power
I'm glad Vegeta didn't get Ultra Instinct, when people were saying vegeta would get UI I hoped it didnt happen and instead he got something better for himself which is UE, I don't understand why everyone has to get UI we saw what happened when everyone got SSJ so why do the same thing with UI? Ui wasn’t suitable for vegeta anyone who thought he’d get ui doesn’t pay attention to the dialogue
I agree with everything you said except saying that UI has been "violated". I don't understand why some people say that unless they were expecting UI to be something that will never be beaten or take an "L". Which, tbh, I don't know why anyone would expect this from DragonBall. It's DragonBall - there will never be a form that any Z Fighter can achieve that will ever be unbeatable. The entire point of the series is for there to always be someone or something that will give all of their forms a true challenge. If there was a form that could never be defeated it would no longer be DragonBall; then it would be One Punch Man.

Dumb comparison. Y'all can't take Goku joking with Vegeta and prodding him without taking it personally.
I figured that for Vegeta a form that was focused on offense would be coming because it made more sense for him than UI which is about primal intuition and firstly defense.
Great video. Vegeta is definitely one of my favourite characters not only because he’s often overshadowed by Goku or other main characters but he has his own epic moments like his Majin form, or my favourites when he uses his Final Flash move against Cell and Jiren, both times surprising his opponents with how powerful his attack was.
I understand the story driven aspect of the "ego" power branch. It's a way for Vegeta to finally get his moment to shine without taking away from Goku's own achievements. Having said that, I always found that Vegeta's edge over Goku is his practical-mindedness. I also always found that his Ego was always his downfall. So.... we shall see I guess?
I would argue he prevails due to his practicality and sharp senses but he has always been pushed and motivated by ego. It makes sense that in a dire situation, when his back is to the wall, he would to break his limits using his greatest drive.
Exactly what I thought. Whis even said that Goku doesn't think enough (which makes him rather well-attuned to UI) and Vegeta thinks too much. That's why before I learned what UE was, I'd hoped it was instead that he carefully thinks and observes, using an understanding of his opponent and his tactical experience to identify exactly what his opponent will do, together with his own plans plotting out the battle nine or ten seconds ahead. Goku responds instantaneously to any situation thanks to UI, but with this Vegeta would be completely prepared long before any situation even arrived.
Trust me vegeta is genius in battle .. its life tho not everybody can take the same route and get the same results .. vegeta problem is not necessarily his ego , the issue is for what is vegeta battle driven madmen he cant help but when he goes into battle he put himself to all these stipulations (princple, value) at the end of the day for a man like vegeta none of those things should other annihilating the opponent infront of him thats how he grew thats who he is .
I'm a Goku fan but even THIS video I've been looking forward to. Ultra Ego is truly fitting for Vegeta's character. I love that Vegeta is going towards the god of Destruction while Goku is going towards the path of the angels

@Inyourmomsass Inyourmumsass it was never confirmed to my knowledge, but as time goes on, and super's story progresses, it just seems unlikely that it's cannon anymore, although I kinda want it to be.

It said 10 years and start of super is 4 years

Vegeta is my favorite Anime Character of all time, I relate to him more than any other, He has reached the point where He can turn on his power Full Blast, and separate his life from outside influences when needed, instead of always carrying his Pride on the Outside all the time
you deserve to be proud of this video, i’ve been watching you for the past few years and constantly watching these breakdown videos even tho i already fully understand it. it’s better to hear someone else talk about it that has way more knowledge than i, and UE was def a transformation i wanted to hear your opinion on. i felt good and bad things about the form, but it def does fit Vegeta perfectly. i really hope they make this form look way more viable in the future
I love psychology/philosophy and I love Dragon Ball. Thanks for bringing the two together and showing me how awesome Vegeta's story is and how you can apply Ego to your own life without feeling guilty, if done in the correct situation. Don't let it go to your head, but this IS the best video ever lol.
Edited for grammar
I'm so proud of this comment, I KNOW it will at least get a heart.
I would love to see Vegeta acknowledge himself as the King. That would be epic af.
I'd also argue that Ultra Ego has almost nothing to do with destruction. Can Vegeta tap into destruction and apply it to his new found power? Of course, but it could also be Vegeta applying the principles of his lessons under Beerus( destroying any stray thoughts and recreating himself from scratch. Focusing only on destruction, or in this case, his love for battle) to his Super Saiyan transformations and thus Ultra Ego is born. This could just be my own headcanon, so don't mistake it to be a fact. I just think it's a nice thought and that Ultra Ego is so much more than just destruction. You touched on everything beautifully.
I respec this headcanon💯
Another parallel drawn is when Goku was still tapping into Ultra Instinct, he was still letting his thoughts dictate his actions as he was trying to tap into his power, but it was only after Goku learned to give up on his thoughts and planning and focus on just the battle that he successfully transitioned from an incomplete state to a mastered state. With Vegeta, it's similar in a way. Vegeta has lingering thoughts and guilt about his past actions, his desire to satiate and embrace his Saiyan instincts were being hindered by his guilt for his past actions and what he became from them. It was only after Beerus reminded him what being a destroyer means, and what it took to achieve such power that Vegeta is now focusing solely on reshaping himself into his purest form, a saiyan who lusts for battle. By sacrificing guilt and letting his ego and saiyan lusts take over without losing sight of who he is, he is now becoming the perfect counterpart to Goku. The other side of the coin. It's genius.
your headcanon makes more sense than "oh yea beerus uses ultra ego already and taught it to vegeta" which seems dumb asf and has ZERO evidence. when i read it first this was my thought process i don't understand how other people pull this stuff out of their asses
Another example of Vegeta’s ego is when he fought semi perfect cell. Instead of killing him when he had the power he let cell achieve his perfect form because he wanted to test out his ascended super saiyan strength (he was the 1st in the show to achieve this form) and let his ego get in the way of thinking he can’t be beat even after trucks warned him of cell’s perfect form strength and lost when he realized cell was only playing with him.
That’s kind of just a saiyan thing. Saiyans will let their opponent power up to their fullest to get a good fight. Goku did the exact same thing with Frieza
I will still never forgive him for doing that
You broke this down like a G my guy, good work 😎👏 Vegeta will forever be my favorite character.
💯
Fun fact: Yin is actually the representation of negative whereas yang is the representation of positive. So it would actually be Vegeta the yin to Goku's yang.
I wonder how many insults I'm going to get for say this.

Expect a lot of "No shit" comments
If I may correct you respectfully, Yin and Yang meaning Dark/Light or Bad/Good is a Western oversimplification and bastardization of the concept. It simply means [This] and [That] working in fluid concert to maintain a balance. Any perception of the concept being aggressively & staunchly Binary is merely jus that, Perception.
@@NotAGrabbaghoul Huh. Interesting.
THANK YOU.
I’ve been saying for a minute that Vegeta showing these seemingly “regressive” character traits of wanting to surpass Goku wasn’t him going backwards, but rather tapping into that old part of himself to progress him forward in that aspect of life.
This was well done, and I love how you injected a little bit of your own Ultra Ego at the end.
~_~
Vegeta sort of deserves to be the best. He’s grown so much as a character and overcome a lot of the trauma of his past. I think it’s about time that Toriyama sheds the plot chains off and gives him more free reign to truly be the man he’s become
This is the best explanation of the form yet. Hands down. Good job bro and thank you
Agreed! The inclusion of self development in relation to Vegeta's power upgrade was so amazing. Great job!
I'm still calling it Super Saiyan Purple.
Too bad all the non-saiyans are able to use this so the name is moot
Not sure if you remember this Geekdom and everyone else, but do recall that when Vegeta did instant transmission, he mentioned that he could probably only do it "once" and lamented it was not a preferable technique for him when speaking with Goku.
This video you created Geekdom compliments that entire moment to the "T". Ki or spirit, is governed by the mind, body and spirit. Yes, fighters can learn many techniques if they wanted to, nothing is exclusive "unless genetically so like Granola's eye", but, whether or not they can effectively use it or even master it is a whole other story. Using a technique requiring a calm focus, designed to to evade or teleport, isn't combat or mentally compatible for Vegeta, hence why he could not master ultra instinct nor "keep" instant transmission within his arsenal.
Intreasting poit of view. But i was Under impression that vegeta throw away instant Transmission because he didn't like it - after all its goku move, and he didn't Train enough. Corect me if i'm wrong but manga Stated that IT was the most basic of techniques - and after all vegeta mastered Forces Spirit fission- one of the hardest and one goku could not masted. Yardratians even Stated that his Spirit is more trained than goku's. And IMO science yardratians are no Fighters at all their techniques are not meant for combat. So o don't see it as a problem of Being compatible on that case. Based on what i said Above i think that vegeta not using IT is his preference rather than limitation.
How ever i agree it is compatibility Issue when it comes to UI.
I always love these deep psychological explanations of Dragonball seeing these characters change little by little into their best versions and overcoming adversity always gives me motivation
15:13 pride and ego go hand to hand
some people really need to hear this
I remember how you said he regressed🤣. Glad you came around to understanding vegeta
What a great video! Being a Vegeta fanboy you really summarized why I love his character so much! Fantastic job as always Geekdom!!! You are #1
Can't wait to see ultra ego animated, gonna break the internet.
That is epic. He has Unlocked something goku can't. Finally forging his own path, and it is very yin yang. Dragonball has always been the best.
After reading the manga and watching your video I have a theory to propose. I guess that ultra instinct is the ultimate spirit technique, ultra ego is the ultimate mind technique and probably Broly has the secret to the ultimate body technique. I have the suspicion that all three or at least Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego can be combined to the Ultimate Technique. (Yin and Yang combined to create the Tao). Berrus is probably so advanced in Ultra Ego that hit a wall where progress is very slow so he tries to learn Ultra Instinct to combine the techniques together or to advance as a fighter. If the Ultra Ego or Ultra InstIct was the end goal of a fighter he wouldn't try to learn the other.
P.S. I don't know if anyone else has the same view as me. I didn't steal your idea great minds think alike xD.
I think they will do fusion in the future series. Ultra instinct + ultra ego and than a new power will be emerged in the form on Gogeta.
@@tijamir4998 I think they’ll discover they can combine the powers with gogeta and try to achieve it themselves
Or toriyama decides they can't fuse becuase there powers are completely different now or they can only use one ultra technique to nerf them. Tbf nobody fuckin with ultra vegito outside the angels
I dig this theory, especially the part where broly has a secret instinct too. I could also see that Broly is a natural at both ego and instinct and will surpass everyone and becomethe new age ultra saiyan.
It's interesting that they chose ultra ego as the name. If they are bringing psychology into this. The Id it's the boundless part of your persona that is impulsive and guiltless (Old Vegeta). The ego and superego are there to keep them Id in check. The difference is the superego goes into extremes to keep Id in check. Superego goes into such extremes it can become just as destructive to your persona as Id can become. It fills you with guilt and anxiety ( Vegeta between DBZ and Super) The EGO is the balance. Ego meditates the impulsiveness of your Id with the insane premeditated and calculated guilt driven aspects of your superego. It's the buffer. Ego allows you to come to terms with both aspects of your persona and choose which aspect is appropriate for the situation (New Vegeta). I love this. If you think about it, this is a vision that has been planned for his character over many seasons. Dragonball can be so deep when it wants to be.
very well said!
Amazing video i can tell you worked hard on this one thanks Geekdom.
Great video. During this it had me thinking that this is an omen form. Hoping that he uses the power for good against frieza and possibly go into mastered ultra ego since he would have no guilt in destroying him
This video makes me want to see Ultra Ego in the anime so bad!!! You explained everything so well!! And this transformation does certainly fit Vegeta so well
Goku bears no pressure to be the best, he makes it due to the circumstances and love he gets from the universe, whereas Vegeta is just following the path in the memory of his saiyan reign.
Vegeta has had so much character growth in Super where as I feel Goku has been the one to backpedal. Goku has kind of become addicted to fighting to the point he doesn't really care who he puts at risk anymore.
Vegeta development
Bad guy became good guy just like piccolo, tien, beerus, Majin buu etc nothing special
I like the way you put that he doesn't care anymore, that's a really fun way to develop him further to where he kind of loses his humanity and he just separates himself from mortality and leaves. That's a really crazy Arc
@@cammodadon5097beerus isn’t a bad guy or good guy. He’s more of a anti hero
Modern Vegeta has become a true man; he can be considerate when the situation calls for it, but knows that sometimes you don't have the luxury of a peaceful resolution and need to be ruthless and confront things that refuse your attempts to de-escalate.
Vegeta got the respect. I always thought of making my own fan vegeta manga, where Vegeta got a new form that rivaled or equaled Goku's ultra instinct.
That does makes sense..."he needs to have that ego he had prior to super" but that very thing he gave up to EVOLVE he's ego, now he needs to tap into it. He needs to forgive himself. In last.. like geekdom101 said..he needs to treat the "villains like that" using destruction on them. Had to watch the video twice to understand that point.
In spirituality, the reason why they teach that you should never go into states of fear or anger is because the body's health depletes, and not only that, but you can develop subconscious habits that repel instead of attract. A person is not required to go into states of despair in order to destroy or remove something. However, anger is "OK" if the person is already in a state of fear, because they are trying to move up the emotional scale. You are better off going into the highest emotion such as joy and bliss.
In a way these new forms are about mastering each person's biggest weaknesses. Vegeta's pride was continuously his downfall. Ultra Ego represents him mastering that pride/ego and harnessing its power to motivate him to become better.
Ultra Instinct then probably represents that Goku is often soft on his enemies and has a tough time trusting his instincts to just finish a dangerous enemy that is a threat to the universe because he assumes everyone has a kind heart like he does. Maybe that's not exactly "instinct" but then maybe these form names aren't exactly accurate to what is being represented, but these themes are deeper than words anyway so it's kind of irrelevant what they are called, what matters is what is being represented through these forms and the storytelling elements being presented by them.
Facts
goku's new ui combines some of his innate emotions with ui so that it feels as natural as super saiyan. so not exactly instinct is correct
This is the true importance of the dbs forms
Everyone complains about the colors when it’s really about how every form connects to character development
I’m so relieved to see content like this. Not only defense of Vegeta but explanation of the character development in its pure complexity. ❤️🔥
This is a good analysis overall. I think there is a key aspect that you didn't really touch on though. The main lesson that Vegeta learns from Goku is the source of his power. Vegeta had always sought power for his own sake, but true power can only be obtained by fighting for something greater than yourself - fighting to protect others.
Even after having this realization, and even becoming stronger by doing so, he still struggles to fully integrate this philosophy into the core of his being. This is why Ultra Ego is so interesting - it is presenting Vegeta with a contrasting paradigm, one that is more suited to his character. He obviously sees the parallel with the Majin form and is reluctant to go that route again. I think he will only truly master Ultra Ego when he finds a way to incorporate and balance both concepts.
I don't think you're getting it right about Vegetas early life. Vegeta wasn't coddled all his life. Maybe as a child before his planet was destroyed. Most of his life he was bullied by the Ginyu force and Frieza.
Not really, frieza kinda gave Vegeta lot of importance as shown in guldo's flashback, I don't think ginyu force bullied him because frieza kinda liked Vegeta and they were scared of frieza
@@anshumanrath6703 they probably did bully him coz of the treatment he got from frieza
@@bradleydolphin1049 maybe behind his back but not sure if ginyu were brave enough to bully someone close to frieza, they could be scared to death
@@anshumanrath6703 I'll have to go back and watch it. But so was Vegeta. Didn't the Ginyu force tell Vegeta it was Frieza that destroyed his planet? Vegeta hated the Ginyu force and Frieza.
@@kevinishki no, it was dodoria that told Vegeta that frieza destroyed planet and guldo was literally ignored and bullied by Vegeta, rest members didn't really have problem with Vegeta so they treated him like a cute kid, that indeed was like bullying for Vegeta getting the cute kid treatment but not bullying in literal sense
To add to the whole observation of vegeta character. When the chapter that ultra ego first came out of, there was a translation I saw that said something like, “Kakarot has autonomous ultra instinct, I have Conquering ultra ego” and truth be told the conquering part of that always stuck out to me
In dbs ep 122 of the T.O.P the foreshadowing of Ultra Ego Vegeta was done as Jiren mentioned that Vegeta has pride and ego, which is one of the reasons why Vegeta lacks Ultra Instinct.
The idea that now that Vegeta has a god form that validates the way he’s been (mentally, emotionally) since childhood through adulthood which in the real world we would say “yeah he’s gonna stuck in his ways unless he has some kind of trauma or deep epiphany” but here he is STRUGGLING to maintain something that has been NATURAL?? I have to agree that’s development right there. Very interesting. I think it tells a better story then if he had transformed and crushed Granolah which is what I thought initially. So great video! Even if it has a big EGO
I know Whis foreshadowed this in the beginning of DB Super but with their respective lanes, would this eventually lead to Goku and Vegeta taking on both Whis and Beerus? Like, the students versus the masters/passing of the torch?
Ego is also the synonym of Pride,
Ultra Ego/Ultra Pride
which is suits him, he is the sigil of Pride
A balance of willpower and stubbornness 🙏🏾💪🏾
I really can't wait to see Ultra Ego animated
2025 maybe
"Power solely derived from instinct is unbounded." This would mean that his tail is needed to reach his perfect form.
Just from the intro of this video I was asking myself how old is this one. 2 years old. I still like to look at these old videos and see where they're coming from though.
Vegeta won’t have that guilt against the Heeters, So maybe will finally see the true ultra ego come out! Geekdom, Awesome as always! Really appreciate you and your channel bro! Take care! 👍👍👍!!!
Really solid video my man, really enjoyed it. Initially, i thought Vegeta wouldn't take the mantel on God of Destruction due to his connection with Bulma and Trunks, I didn't think he would leave that life to do this job however, after watching this, I think Vegeta would. If he continues to develop how he is, he will be the perfect candidate to takeover from Beerus (wish we knew more about how Gods of Destruction were chosen). I think once he has this Ultra Ego under control better, he would be in the perfect state to take Beerus's title. I recon we will have a scene where Beerus literally just retires so he can go and sleep as much as he likes xD
the Freeza at 14:49 pic is epic! love the vid too bro!!

Thanks for doing this video. This indeed made perfect sense for Vegeta. I know several of folks are still not liking the name of his form Ultra Ego, that’s fine.
