good review. Instead of giving us all these funky colored Spider-Man figures, Hasbro should make more of the Renew Your Vows 2-pack. That's what we want. A lot of collectors are not able to find them. Give the people what they want, for crying out loud.
Having to be SUPER picky now because of cost and space, this will be a pass. I'm set with my MU version. But when the new inverse version comes out that will be an instant buy. I dig those translucent webs too, dope review bro!
I didn't mind it being a repaint/reuse... but the premium price they charge for this figure? It's not worth it, barely have accessories. Also, the plastic they used for the joints are soft to the point that the figure feels really cheap.
Why it's on the Sunfire mold when a better articulated version of the same sculpt is beyond me, I assume this body is just cheaper to produce than the retro/renew your vows style body with more joints. It sucks having the pins on this figure but to give Hasbro the benefit of the doubt maybe the production of this figure predated the two pack renew your vows version so this couldn't have had the pinless? It's also incredibly cheap and lame (but ultimately typical) of Hasbro to exclude the wall crawling hands... is it really worth the few cents you save by not including them, Hasbro? The 2012 TASM weblines are a pathetic inclusion, I haven't seen anyone really use them that well in a display or toy photography- anyone serious about including weblines in their displays and photography uses custom bendy wire webs. The box also hiding potentially sloppy paint... With the price hike, a figure like this shouldn't be acceptable. A repaint where appropriate is perfectly fine, but at least go all out on accessories, articulation, and quality control to make it worth the nearly $30 price tag

I don’t count extra heads and hands as accessories , I mean different style of webs , a base , figure stand and maybe a comic to explain why these figures look the way they look . I’m sick of Hasbro skimping on quality and having these high ass prices , at least McFarlane gives us comic books , original sculpts , great paint , and a little bio on cards .
I don't think a bio is that big a deal now a days, not when the internet is always in your pocket and you can skim a character's entire publication history with a quick Google search. I doubt anyone goes to the store and decides if they want to buy a figure solely because they read the blurb of words on the back of a box. I agree these figures could come with a lot more tho

The pinless must have been adopted insanely recently to where so many of these announced figures have already been in development “pre-pinless” and once they run out of those announcements it will be 90% from here on out

I've seen other reviewers state this has gummy joint syndrome and very poor paint apps. Not cool Hasbro! At the least this should be on the Retro Spidey buck, with: those hands plus wall crawlers, Peter Parker head, and the web effects for the shoulders and face.

I am actually looking at SH Figuarts figures now, just to have a different looking Spider-Man on my shelf to pose and display. (I have a bunch of Marvel Legends, MAFEX and Mezco figures).

My paint apps came clean, and maybe the elbows are a little gummy, but i didn't think about it until I read this.
