    Keto is a lifestyle, which means that we aren't going to be 100% perfect everything. For whatever reason, there will be times you fall off keto. That's OKAY!! Like with any way of eating, there will be times you get off track. That's why it's called a lifestyle.
    When it happens, the best thing to do is to get back on the next meal; however, sometimes those sugar and carb cravings are intense. In this video, I share what I eat to get back on track.

    KETO JALAPENO POPPERS
    12 jalapenos
    8 ounces of cream cheese
    24 Lit’l Smokies beef sausages
    24 strips of bacon
    1️⃣ Cut the top off of all the jalapenos. Slice each jalapeno lengthwise. Using a spoon or jalapenos corer, remove all the ribs and seeds from the inside of each jalapeno. Rinse the jalapenos under cold water to make sure all the ribs and seeds are removed.
    2️⃣ Scoop about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese into each jalapeno half. Place a Lit’l Smokie sausage on the cream cheese of the jalapeno. Tightly wrap each jalapeno with bacon.
    3️⃣ Place the poppers in a rimmed baking sheet covered with aluminum foil. Bake in the oven or grill for at least an hour

    I can't do a cheat day ill wake up 6 months later 40 lbs heavier. I go by the make your next meal keto and just keep going. These look amazing 👏

    Freeze the poppers first before cooking. It keeps the cream cheese from rupturing all over the baking sheet before the bacon gets crispy. If you have a convection oven, great. If not, use an 'air fryer' cranked to 400°F (or higher). It makes all the difference.

    I make a version of these without the sausage and I also add Parmesan cheese and garlic powder to softened cream cheese. I make a bunch at once and freeze them so they’re easy to take out and cook a few at a time. I cook them at 425 for 20 minutes. Yum!

      Is the bacon uncooked when you wrap it around the pepper before you put it in the oven?

      @@travelinggirl6681 yes. Then I cook them from frozen at 425 for about 20 minutes.

    Try slicing the peppers without cutting off the stem end. I try to go through the stem so both sides have a little stem. This goes something to hold on to when eating and the cream cheese doesn't seep out the end on to your cookie sheet or into grill!

    I use a grapefruit spoon to scrape out the seeds. We also bake the jalapenos for 10 minutes in a 300 degree oven then put them in ice water to take out some of the heat. Here we add chopped brisket. When they are done we call them Texas Twinkies!! A big favorite here!

    Ugh the last 3 days have been a carb fest!! 2 retirement parties, a bday party and a graduation party 🥳 I tried just having a bit of cake or cookie but a bit turned into 2 pieces each time. Then the sugar overload just took me down the eat-more-when-I'm-not-hungry road. Yikes! SO needed this video today. Thanks!

    Love it and it will apply to so many and KUDOS to you for reaching out and encouraging others.
    Sadly, there are some of us that simply cannot do this at all. SOME of us.
    Like myself and others, that have been insulin dependent for over 20 years and realizing I was SO metabolically sick for so long I have to consider myself a carbohydrate addict and simply cannot fall off the wagon.
    For ME and with all the negative responses I may get, I certainly am not perfect by any means, but I am finally reversing diabetes and limit carbs to under 10 TOTAL a day.
    After failed cataract surgeries, necrotizing facetious surgeries and many more things, I'm finally healing and there are no donuts and birthday cakes for me ever again as it would be like give. recovering alcoholic a drink to celebrate. I'm finally off insulin, once weighed 380 and now 230 and I'm not going back for any reason that I can help. 🙂
    For those that can fall off the wagon sometimes, and I know that is many people, best of luck and this IS great advice.

      You are an amazing and strong person, your comment gave me a lot of hope and strength, coz im also a carb addict, and sometimes i feel sorry for my self for not having the ability to eat carbs like normal people, but seeing that there are people out there like me gives me lot of hope and strength.     Definitely will try the added ingredients. I add garlic salt to the cream cheese and sometimes a sharp cheddar and cook at a much higher temp to get the bacon crisp and a caramelization on the pepper. I also add these sometimes on top of my morning eggs, such and amazing flavor.

    hard time finding little sausages without corn syrup and nitrates, Substituted pulled pork smoked on pit, wrapped with bacon that is not sugar cured(pricey), Came out fantastic

    I love this video so much. If I do my keto clean, it will kill all cravings. Conversely, if flour and sugar is creeping in, then I start having visions of donuts. I go have the donuts and instantly know each bite will haunt me the next day. Wake up like a crazed junkie and congested as heck. But gone is all that feeling like a bad person. That model doesn’t work.

    Brilliant! I've never thought to add a little sausage inside, & that's so smart=) I think for people like me who are not into a whole lot of spice, but do like a little, adding the extra meat will tone it down even more & add extra flavor. I also was not aware that cooking longer made the jalapenos milder~ thanks so much!

    I've never had them with the smokies. I don't much care for those, but have had them with just the jalapenos, cream cheese and bacon. I also never wanted to eat a jalapeno popper (not a fan of jalapenos except in salsa/pico de gallo), but my soon-to-be ex-son-in-law made them exactly this way (sans smokies) and forced me to try them. Yeah, okay. They're good. I won't make them, but if somebody made one and put it in front of me I'd eat it. My view of the keto *lifestyle* is this: Eat the stupid birthday cake today, otherwise you're just going to resent the diet and be more resistant to it. Tomorrow is another day to go back to your keto way of eating. Life is that thing that happens to us while we're busy making other plans. Enjoy the celebrations in moderation. Those are what make life worth living. For the mundane everyday, that's where keto comes in. Life isn't a race because the finish line is death. Stop and enjoy the route (the little celebrations), while trying to take as much time as possible (by eating healthy the majority of the time) to get to the end.

      @@gwens5093 Not everyone who does keto is a food addict or over weight. If that is an issue for someone then they know it, no one is “telling them” to do anything by suggesting that adjustments are sometimes necessary and moderation and overall consistency is key. I do keto for the overall health benefits but am not a slave to any diet.

    We cook ground meat thoroughly and add in the cream cheese once its cooked. This is what we stuff into the peppers before wrapping the bacon.

    I use a grapefruit spoon (the edges are serrated) which makes the cleaning much better and quicker.

    I like this I have a variation, I use red bell pepper roll it up, wrap with bacon. Mmm also steamed cabbage leaves work well too, of course the work. Wrapped in bacon .any sausage woods too, a big ty

    4th party: cream cheese chopped green onion 3 cheese Italian mix ( asiago, romono, parmigiana) browned turkey sausage mix together and stuff peppers and mushrooms. They were a hot and keto perfect.

    Thank you !!! So helpful ❣️. Starting to loose a pound a day since my levothyroxine was lowered ! I was getting way too much and couldn’t loose any weight on keto like I did . Lost six pounds this week ❣️👏👏👏. Yay 😃. Hope this means I am fat adapted now ❣️. I do and have fallen off at Christmas and didn’t go back on at times ! This will help !!!!     I am such a superfan! You responded to one of my posts a while back, and I felt like I had won the lottery...lol. I enjoy your content so much and would love to meet and be on one of your posts... hint, hint contest idea :). I have a friend who was so impressed with my results after going Keto that she has now started her journey and I even inspired my primary care physician based on my results to start his own keto journey. When I can't seem to get my act together, your videos always pull me back and makes me realize it is not a success-only journey and that I am never starting from scratch, even when I break from Keto. At times it has been a struggle getting back into the lifestyle, I feel crappy when I stray and don't know why then I think about how much effort I put into staying Keto and how proud I am when I am doing the right thing for my body and it all makes sense. It is true when you stray, you do feel the difference. Thank you for always being there and letting us know it is okay to be human on this journey. From desserts to cocktails you make this such a rewarding life change and I am so truly thankful for finding your channel when I did. God Bless and keep changing lives.

    Even without the smokies these were AMAZING!! I just did 30 mins at 400 in the air fryer thinking I’d have to put them back in for more time but they were definitely ready and not too spicy either. I love your recipes, I’ve also made your ice cream and your lasagna.

    I sometimes use Jimmy Dean hot sausage and fry that up and mix the cream cheese in with it. So good!

    I have digestive issues with jalapenos, so I will use Poblano or Anaheim peppers. These sound yummy and just the thing to get back on track. Thanks!

    These are great and freeze well then I just pop them in the air fryer to warm them up

    I never tried them in the oven, always on the grill and smoke them. Package up and freeze some for later. I'll make dozens at a time and cook batches of them over the hot, smoky coals. Also use Colby cheese spears, so tasty,

    After cleaning the peppers, soak them in ice water & it keeps most of the spicy out of it. I cook my poppers over the grill, they’re So yummy.
