I loved the Eagle Talon TSI in the 90s. Stock hp for the Talon and Eclipse was 195 for AWD and 190 for FWD at the crank. This one has been modified like you mentioned. These cars helped kick off the turbo tuning culture with things like Turbo magazine. HKS was a big original tuning company that increased performance.
@@picodoc8001 loved everything about that car. Was well built but I broke the timing belt at 6700rpm. I had to make a choice to put a new engine in (4500) or continue to pay for school. I chose schooling. This was in 03. I found a 91 talon tsi for sale the week after I bought an FC. didn't have the room.
I have a 1991 GST that I bought new and it held up well. Totally stock till about 120k. It was reliable and never cut out. That one has been molested a good bit. I still have the car.
I took my Eclipse to Germany (in 1991 before these were available there). A friend happened to tune cars. The car could have gone faster than 145 mph/220 kph, but that was my limit!
Loving the Mitsu reviews! Have you done a Mitsubishi Endevour, Mirage, or Montero yet? I would love to see reviews of them (although they are probably not as fun to drive lol). Also would like to see a Mitsubishi Kei Car or another Mitsubishi sports car like the Lancer Evo X. Love how you do cars no one else does (:
they fixed the shifter the next year, car and driver magazine blasted them for the shifter so they had to fixit.. alittle history.lol most of the reliability issues on these cars is owner modifications not done properly or with supporting mods. the also issue is the are old cars and restoration and maintenance are usually not up to schedule. this is i good example of a nice one, he's almost to the golden spot where the fun begins in the restoration.
Should review a car that's not missing parts and is in decent shape...that's not a cup holder it's actually the ashtray..but the actual ash tray is missing.
i have all the jack stands, i have ebay pages saved, i carry a 14mm in the car, and i own comfy shoes for walking or pushing but before that i get 16mpg kickin ass and taking names in my DSM
The dash is horrendous, someone in the design department probably thought it would be really cool and futuristic but it just looks so bad, and like a waste of space
The bump in the hood is there to make room for the timing belt cover.
I had a 93 Eclipse GST that got me into street racing. I upgraded the intake, headers, and exhaust on it. What a fun and good looking car it was!

I actually had a 90 laser rs turbo. Still to this day I miss that car.
Hey Ken. Yeah, I had one too and it was one of my favorite cars. And I have had a lot of them.

8:20 i used to have a 1986 Celica GTS, first year they were fwd. The back seat was always folded down cause i feel like it just made it more spacious
You went just a little bit Regular Car Reviews there at the end. Very nice.

Nice! I went to the plant a couple of times for tours where the eclipse was made

Thanks! I did do a Mitsubishi Pajero Mini Kei car last fall! But not much other Mitsubishis, I'd like to film some more in 2022!
@@ShootingCars I don’t know any contacts there but you may want to check with Max Madsen Mitsubishi in Aurora
@@ShootingCars More Mitsu's and more MOPARS (or in this case both at the same time)!
Matco: builder of transmissions and also painting cars 😂
Whoops lol
I wish my dad didn't make me sell my 90 Laser when I was 17 😭 it also does need the hood bulge when the timing belt cover is attached to the motor.
I love how Mitsubishi in 1991 was giving people 220hp and Honda in 2023 is giving the Si 200hp smh.
I had a ‘93. Mine was perfectly reliable.
How has nobody noticed it’s Gingium’s Eclipse?
seems like a car you would own
Beautiful
Funny how the exterior is in so much better shape than the interior.
Well it was just painted lmao
Its owner is going through it. Check out Gingium's channel.
Need to review a ford probe turbo
The ,,cupholder" is a second ashtray....

p.s. dsm's started the import race scene. i was there and drove a muscle car until i saw this weird little car that was eating mustangs all night

that FC in the ad segment... 😫
I have a full review of it! 1988 10Ae with like 70k miles!

The unreliable statement is not correct most owners don't do the work right I have zero issues with my own setup making way more hp then that dsm
