I’m gonna shoot for 476. I think 1/4 is the perfect size for still having the sculpture ability of traditional locs but the femininity of micros! Cant wait for your journey!!!
Mom is doing a great job! You're so blessed to have her do that for you! Can't wait to see the rest of your journey. Can you tell me if you're going to count the first day of install as you're anniversary date or the day that you completely finish? I'm installing diy micro braidlocs and I don't know what day to count as my loc-a-versary lol.

Your mom is doing a great job! I have a great respect for people who do this for a living, and I don't understand why some complain about the price of a loc install. Looking at your install it's well worth the price most charge. You might end up with btw 475-500 locs based on the density of your hair. Good luck and I can't wait for the final look.

My hair is as short as yours too and I just installed my micro lock last month, I installed it myself following your method on partings, I just posted videos of mine, check it out friends, i love love it, took me about a week, more than 400 locks, I did 2 strands and interlock the root, I also posted a video on the best product to use in order to avoid itch, flakes & Dryness because I started experiencing that, anyway I will continue to uploads updates on my new lock
your mom did a great job my hair is as short so I will do the interlocking method. I have learned so much in researching the process. I am in the process of trying to find someone to do my hair.

My mum has been doing my hair my whole life. The thought of going to a salon scares me as I don't know if I'd be so easily able to trust someone else with my hair. I'm gonna show my mum this video in the hope that she'll do microlocs for me lol. She's been a quick learner with other hairstyles in the past, so maybe she'd be able to master this too! Fingers crossed🤞🏾...otherwise I'm gonna take ages researching to find a loctician 😅

Thank you so much for sharing your process. I recently just turned 50 and my natural hair is just all over the place. I’ve tried locking via palm roll, epic fail. My hair just would not stay. This method definitely makes locing possible and the tiny sections make stying possibilities endless. I so love styling my hair but want to keep it natural and without weaves or extensions if possible. So thanks again. Great job mom!😍🥰

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I attempted to start my own microlocs on my short 2in hair a couple of months ago and there was so much unraveling. I'm going to have my sister install microlocs now that's its grown about another inch. You and I have similar hair texture so this gives me hope :) Congrats on your new journey! I think you'll end up with about 450 locs

I was wondering what’s next with me and my hair as I get older I currently have a short cut and is growing it out I keep seeing micro locs and love it always wanted locs for years but didn’t have the patience I think 2023 is the year for me a new journey because I’m starting to get more grays and want to embrace my grays and stop adding colors so this will be it for me your video inspired me even more as I will be starting of with short hair also..thank you

As someone who started my locs when I had them with braids, braids don’t unravel if your sections are small enough

She basically just twists the bottom of the hair, then starts doing the rotation. I will be uploading a slower version to my channel soon

I’m in the process of growing my hair back out after doing the big chop. I started with traditional locs and had them for about 3 years. I’m interested in knowing how she started each loc. I know you said she interlocked with her fingers then used the tool, but what did she do to the ends of your hair to hold the interlock in place when she started each one?
