I agree but do Sky not have Mike Dean bore the pants off everyone on soccer Saturday?
Sky aren't participating in the game though, jut providing analysis. What are Forrest actually going to gain from having him there? The ref isn't going to change a decision cos some T** off Gladiators tells them they made a mistake.
@@Luke-qr2ybmaybe to provide analysis
Spot on.
I'm fairly certain if Neville was able to speak freely he wouldn't be too positive about Mike Dean working at Sky either
No way you actually think that's related
Clattenburg had some of the worst decisions pre VAR I've ever seen, especially in the big games. I remember his infamous Chelsea vs United game where he just lost the plot.
Battle of the bridge too.
Stop it he was miles better than any current referee
@@Brian-xt2ge😭 have a day off hahahahaha
You mean like the time JOM said that he had said a racial slurr?
3:13 "as clear as night is day"
😂
Forest's owner was simultaneously Greek's Super League president and he desperately tried to make Clattenburg the President of Greek Referees Commitee since 2022. Since he failed to do so, he managed to give him a safe place and salary as his employee in Nottingham.
The Greek league was broken and totally broke during the corrupt dominance of Olympiacos but it's great to see Panathinaikos becoming competitive again and the Greek league being exciting again instead of the monopoly in the last decade or two.
Are you a man citeh fan.
And the Green Super League is corrupt as hell. Worked with a Greek lad who supported Olympiacos who said there the clubs were all owned by gangsters, and paid hooligans to go to away matches. Bribing refs was part of the game over there.
Forest should’ve had a penalty in their last 2 games…didn’t get either! They have to try and bring the point up without getting fined, this is a way of doing it, and it’s worked! Or Neville wouldn’t be talking about it!
a Forest player tumbling into a keeper, isn't a penalty lad
@@paulanthonytullyyes it is lad and Neco Williams penalty?
Forest should be deducted points for breaching financial fair play rules
Embarrassing move from a club
Forest players don't half dive a lot. maybe refs aren't giving genuine penalties to Forest because of that?
Neville saying not many decisions have been wrong recently...trying to convince us its getting better 😂
@primeape5009 it has been much better recently, youre just hating for no reason.
2 games 2 penos not given ....ok@@alexwarren9730
@@alexwarren9730you're completely missing his point. It'll be "better" until it isn't anymore and another scandalous decision is made, and we're back to square one. It's only ever "better" until the next horrendous decision, because they havne't done what is needed to deal with the problem.
We literally had a stonewall penalty not given by VAR in the most recent match, and it's not even an aberrational decision at this point. The hell is Neville on about 'getting better'?
@@alexwarren9730it’s not been even slightly better. Forest have had two of the most blatant pens you’ve ever seen not given in their last two games. Nothing controversial has happened to a ‘big club’ that’s all. So of course in Sky’s world and Nevilles world it’s not worth talking about if it didn’t happen to one of the top four.
We’ve lost many of points this season due to AWFUL officiating such as the penalty not given by the ref or VAR against West Ham which was just insane. It’s costing us big time and we had no apologies or explanations for any of it
VAR got a lot better?? Not for Forest it hasnt! Amazes me all these pundits have so little knowledge of what happens in the bottom half of the table.
Missed Var getting better. Same mistakes being made time and again.
Happens at the top too. Refs are shite.
Maybe mark clattenberg is there while on break from gladiators
I was just going to say this! 😂 You beat me to it
A few Odd decisions?...>Forest have had some shocking decisions go against them recently. Nev won't know as he only watches & cares about Yaanited and the other top 6 clubs
Hard to watch Nottingham when a big six is playing at the same time
Yea we do expect things to happen, Gary. Refereeing decisions have real impact on our clubs so when ridiculous mistakes are made by so called professionals we want something to happen. Accountability is a pretty normal thing in most jobs for the ordinary person.
problem is that refs are corrupt. And corrupt refs cannot be punished or the corruption stops
Confused...can I get these 3 minutes back please?
Which part confused you?
Clattenburg is looking to make money, much in the same way Gary did when he went to work for the Qatari national broadcaster, or does he think everyone forgot that?
That’s it mate, simple. Easy money
What's wrong with that? Isn't the corrupt money from African politicians keep Britain wealthy at the expense of Africans ?
“Woah me” 😂
*woe me
@@51gan788 it’s meant to be “woe is me” not woah me or woe me. That’s why I’m laughing.
@@phil8528 hilarious
Probs a bigger picture. Clubs will probs start suing soon. Which will be mental
Revolving door employment for referees? A great idea. It works well in government.😂
Garry Neville is the most biased man ever. Just shows how much attention he gives to other teams out of the top 6. EVERY GAME we have had a decision go against us.
I am surprised this hasn't happened before.
It shouldn't be like that though, Gary. Referees are making too many errors. And it's having an impact on my love for football.
Apparently it's only against Forest. Which is absolute nonsense.
Tbh, as a Forest fan, if you actually watched our games week in week out you’d understand exactly why the club has done this. It’s easy to criticise when you’re one of the big teams where decisions seems to go your way more often than not. Some of the stuff we haven’t got and I’ve seen other “smaller” teams not get especially against “bigger” teams is insane, there is blatantly some corruption going on
There was a report the other week that said 20% of all incorrect VAR decisions (including incorrect decisions not to intervene) made so far this Premiership season have been made against Liverpool.
Those errors could easily cost Liverpool the title.
Being a "Big Club" doesn't protect you from poor refereeing decisions in games.
Don't know if I'd call it corruption. That's a helluva allegation. I'd say unconscious bias. I just think they believe that the bigger teams have the better players, so surely it's the bigger teams who are forcing the mistakes from the smaller ones. Also a Forest fan
🤣🤣
Could tactically make sense. There are so many bad tackles made week after week for a start so players need to learn what being in control of a tackle actually is before making one.
They're probably asking him how to approach games in a way that's least likely to get decisions against you
I don't understand
Fully behind this decision if it means calling out this atrocious refereeing were seeing. If the referees are just not good enough is bad, if the corrupt it's even worse and I'm not sure which one it is
The same referee who admitted to open corruption who admitted he didn't send off Spurs players against Chelsea because he wanted them 'to implode and not blame it on me.'
Gary, please release your next diss track ‘Still Disappointed’ soon… 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Feels like a football club trying to pressure referees when they are officiating their games.
Make a bad decision and our analyst will tell us all how you messed up!
Correct and it’s an excellent idea. If you’d seen some of the appalling decisions that have gone against Forest lately. Probably cost us anything up to 6 or 7 points in the last five games alone. I don’t mean 50/50 decisions or even 60/40 decisions going against us, I mean stonewall penalties simply ignored, players sent off in the wrong after 10 minutes etc. Huge decisions that have directly led to points lost. If you support one of the big 6 you’ll never understand.
@29memyselfandi sorry but as an Arsenal fan who had referees lose us at least 6 points last year and have had a couple of appalling calls against us this year in a really tight title race, I get it entirely.
However, I think this is a really awful move on the part of Forest. I don't think clubs should be trying to put pressure on referees and that doesn't matter where it comes from.
I thought the same when Mikel had a rant about referees and the club sent out the letter the day after.
Off field influence like this should not be part of the sport.
@@Astro_Gorilla Arsenal certainly got screwed last year, I actually liked Arteta’s response and the letter. League titles can be won and lost and in our case relegations happen through people not doing their jobs properly. It’s a way of sending a shot across the bow and saying ‘we’re watching you’ Who’s to say the Var people who denied yous obvious penalties wasn’t a Spurs fan or the Var people denying us penalties wasn’t a fan of other clubs in the relegation mix. None of us complain much when we don’t get the 50/50s but the absolute stonewall ones do require someone to kick up a fuss. The only other thing I’d say is when it’s a big club like Arsenal there’s a lot of attention on those bad decisions, when it’s a smaller club like us there’s barely a mention. Gary Neville says Vars improving because none of the big teams have been affected lately. For Forest fans Var has got worse.
@@29memyselfandi I can absolutely see how the media attention focusing on the big clubs makes it frustrating for the smaller clubs.
But I wish we could just keep the game on the pitch.
@@Astro_Gorilla Ideally yes it should be kept on the pitch. I actually think Var has led to people asking more questions. It used to be if a ref missed something we’d all understand that he hasn’t got eyes in the back of his head so can’t see everything. But with all the camera angles and Var it should be impossible to get very obvious penalty decisions wrong like with yous last year or us in the last few weeks..... anyway hope Arsenal get over the line this year, they’re a joy to watch.
pausing this video at points is hilarious, some of Neville’s expressions
Wha does Gary think of sky employing Mike dean ?
The fan sitting at home can make the same exact observations Neville, and all the other ex-players, offer as "expert" punditry yet Sky still employs them. Why shouldn't clubs bring in ex-officials to get observations from them? It's not like clubs get much feedback from active referees, or the PGMOL for that matter.
Is it only me who thinks this is quite a smart move from Forest?? The league ain’t changing the referee standards any time soon.
Sky have played their part in this too. Theyve pushed the narrative of 'Big 6' for so long that its obviously impacted referee's decision making ability.
Failure to give a decision or giving a tough decision against the 'big 6' is put under such a microscope that the small clubs don't have a chance.
I can almost guarantee that if the Monday night game is Bournemouth vs Wolves, Carra or Neville will spend a good part of the show talking about Liverpool, City or Arsenal point of controversy.
So take some accountability Sky. As a Forest supporter i'm all for anything that bucks the trend and helps break the 'big six' ring fence.
Very fishy.. I don’t think this should be allowed.
Forest fan here. He’s 100% correct.
Saw Clattenburg on Gladiolus and knew he just wants the bag
Welcome to Marinakis' toxicity. This is a drop in the ocean compared to what he is doing in Greece with Olympiakos
He’s gonna tell the decision making and why certain fouls are called. This will help players avoid making those same mistakes in the future.
Corruption is literally everywhere
Me not the only one thinking about the gladiators 😅
Forest players dive a lot. They dish it but go down easily when touched.
Brentford the same and Newcastle too.
"As clear as night is day...."
Mark Clattenburg isn't exactly the most reliable guy to employ. Should have been investigated for match fixing after what he said on how he refereed the Battle of the Bridge game.
If it's to improve the players and coaches knowledge of the laws, it might actually help games and be a positive for refereeing in general. It's often embarrassing how little most coaches and players know.
There's no way it can be for a club to complain about decisions. They'd get nowhere with that.
This is delusional. Too much money involved in football now, when points are worth so much in millions (£) to expect clubs to not argue wrong decisions especially if staying in the league is so valuable to a club financially this is a natural evolution whether you like it or not.
I’m a Forest fan but I wish I wasn’t after hearing this news.
They’ve hired a lobbyist, he’s not there to talk to players. “5 star holiday with the misses, Rolex watch for Xmas, just be a little thoughtful when doing Forest game is all I ask”
Gladiators Ready!
This a business and these poor decisions can cost clubs dearly. There should be stiff penalties to referees that make obvious wrong decisions
Chill hes going to teach them the offside rule😂
"As clear as night is day".
Clattenberg is probably mates with some of the refs. So that may put more pressure on the refs, or forest might think clattenberg will have an influence on refs in theor games. Maybe. Might be a clever move. But we will see
Var is suspect at lower clubs,
If they want to pay him fair play to him.
If you need someone to talk to a club about questionable decisions then they have the right guy.
Paying retired referees will definitely have a positive effect for the club.
He’s getting paid for doing bugger all…who wouldn’t want that job
Neville almost got Valencia relegated before he was fired in record time then all of a sudden he is THE expert. All theory no practical.
He's double Jobing now.. he's a ref on The Gladiators 😮
Sky can’t chat about employeeing ex referees though can they? They’re the one that started this NONSENSE thinking everyone wants to talk about and talk to referees. Sky are the reason they’re a focus in the first place.
Sky sports literally do the same thing with Dermot Gallagher and 'Ref Watch'
Forrest can employ whoever they want
I might be wrong but does Rugby teams and other sports teams hires a former referee?
It would have to be Clattenburg.
It's all about nicing up their relationship with referees and who better to help you do that than a former one. Arsenal should move with the times and get theirs in!!
Gary, mate, night is night! It's day which is day.
so neville you saying refs are doing bad sometimes and you find that as a good excuse? we need better refs and find a way how to help them dont complain about all this clubs feeling so bad .
plus its unfair for clubs to get points punishments for what ? cause they spend a lot of money? come on ...
As clear as night is day lol
He's making a bit of money Gary. What are you doing with everything you do being sponsored by betting companies? Yeah, we can all be snooty about what other people get up to.
Is it late to become a professional footballer in your early 30s such as 30 31 or 32 if you have the talent and style to play ?
What’s it got to do with Neville? Jog on
Var has been horrible to forrest & liverpool
@SteTrax It's factual. Put your head back in the sand liverpool have had 2 apologies for a reason
He's getting paid for andimple job. Why would he turn down the money?
He is just sad his club was not able to figure it out first but other clubs did. So now he is crying
What’s the actual point of this ? A referee officer ? 😂😂
Their money their choice of employee
Something has to happen though, we get incompetent refs
Ah, Gary the moral crusader is at it again
He’s collecting a pay check hahahahaha
He's already on record of being corrupted during his time as a ref.. the PL needs to find good refs, not refs just from the UK.
Neville been turned down for celebrity Gladiators or something?
I 🤔 he was doing Gladiators
Sport is based on performance why should the refs be immune to consequences for performing below par
They aren’t immune to consequences for poor performance
What's he going to most of these decisions are subjective.Clattenburg laughing all the way to the bank 😂
So it’s ok for Sky Sports to have referees on their show but not Premier League clubs to have referees for analysis?
Gary Neville, absolute joke. 🤣🤣🤣
Try talking about the decisions that have lead to it like you would if it was Utd because that last one against West Han regarding the pen is the worst I’ve seen. Stop banging on about your own club and its owners, it’s boring for everyone else. You’ve never experienced being on the lower rungs and facing going down based on these decisions so you’re not qualified to speak on it…. That said …. I don’t think there’s any point in the appointment either 🤣 Neville just bugs me. Seems anti Forest at times
Gladiators now Notts forest😂😂😂😂
Mark Battenburg...soccer am...
What he’s doing is getting an extra source of income.
I don’t get why it’s embarrassing?
Him and mike dean give their analysis now on referees in todays games 😂😂they were 2 of the worst referees in the epl history and thats bad .
1st. 1 like = 1 push up for G.Nev 👍
Worst ref ever
Used to like Neville.
Last few months he's become a PGMOL mouthpiece / defender though.
Mark will referee the FA. Cup match vs man utd lol
Surprised Neville didn't manage to bring up Man Utd's need for a sporting director in this segment & highlight how Ashworth is worthy of such role because Sky Sports lately have been pushing this precedent...
Wouldn't believe Brailsford & Ratcliffe bought into Team Sky Cycling with Ineos - Sky never fail to mention them this calendar year.
🥱
So what this chicken is saying is that Clubs should just suck up the terrible referring decisions that go against them, right? I've never heard Mr Know it all call for refs to be held accountable, rather he keeps justifying the terrible state of referring in this country
Jobsworth. Too much money. Best off burning money and keeping the homeless warm 😮
Didn't Neville's old club in his playing days also appointed Howard Webb? Where was his disappointment back then?
The league have the best players and managers from around the world 🌎 do the same for Refers. The English ones are useless
Gary Neville with an opinion on what people choose to do for a living SHUP UP BORING
Marcus rashford dives against forest and wins the game off a penalty and then we don’t get a stone wall pen against Newcastle, that’s 6 points lost from bad decisions, we don’t all get the decisions like Ferguson did
