Merson is a man who left school, straight into Football. Then straight into Football commentary. He's never had to think about anything and still thinks of the world as if he's in school. The only difference to most school children is he doesn't have the angst and the want to break free because he's past puberty long ago and is given everything he wants (money, fame). But he's never moved on mentally. He still sees where he works as a place where him and his "colleagues" are subservient children without any responsibility other than to do what they're told. He basically acts like a chronologically old child.
Le Tissier was a better player. I think he would have suited Serie A because skill was valued more than English football at the time.

Agree with Merson, it’s better to keep your head down and just agree. A lady from my workplace who was incorrectly assigned a penis at birth suffered her first period pains at the age of 48. Someone suggested she should rub her adams apple and ball sack at the same time to relieve the pain. He was sacked. I just put my head down and agreed with the lady and managements decision.
