      @muhammad javed man when I learned it I didn't have equipment either. just two of my buddies and something that was supposed to be sand. Plus I was terrified by it because I had fallen straight on my head previously. Just keep trying don't give up and eventually you will land it. What is harder though is the proper russian backflip

    • @7DuRd3n
      @7DuRd3n 3 роки тому +1

      @muhammad javed I know the struggle bro took me years to get to the point where I land it everywhere with no problem

    • @7DuRd3n
      @7DuRd3n 3 роки тому +1

      @muhammad javed what I do is basically everytime before I do a backflip I focus on something right in front of me. Then when you are ready to flip just jump straight up and don't look away from what you are focused on. After that you will feel the right moment pull your knees up to your chest as quickly as you can and tuck as tightly as you can. The rest is just to land it. If you follow these steps and most importantly overcome the fear you should end up with a proper russian backflip.

      Hey Fernando, interested to know how exactly would it help you? My main concern here is that ppl tend to over exaggerate the risks (what if I fall on my head??) associated with the back tuck and focus on them so much that it plays a larger role than it should holding many back from achieving the skill and consolidating it. I'd say 50% of the learning process for the back tuck is about overcoming the mental barriers we put up. Because the fear is so overblown, I find the most effective way to deal with the fear is to of course address any questions but more importantly not focus on it; by breaking the back tuck down into easy-to-follow steps, in a safe environment, there is absolutely no need to put emphasis on the unsound fears that prevent us from achieving the skill (I want them to focus on what to do not what NOT to do).

    Hello!!! Tyson, i like back flip,and i really want to learn.I m very much scared of practicing that.How to remove that fright???
    Please give me some tips for that.

    • @TysonE
      @TysonE  6 років тому +1

      Steps 1 and 2 remove the fear. Step 1 allows you to focus on jumping high and tucking without the fear of having to rotate upside down. Step 2 allows you to focus on the rotation in a controlled and soft setting. Steps 1 and 2 also halve the skill so when you're comfortable with steps 1 and 2 (and you perform them with proficiency) combine them for step 3. Step 3 is on a trampoline so you get more than enough assistance to complete the somersault (no need to worry about not jumping high enough) so you only have to think about the technique. That's the best way to overcome the fear: Follow the steps in video! :)

    Do the mats have to be stacked that high for step one or can they be lower? Would jumping onto a mat that's about hip height work too?

    • @TysonE
      @TysonE  8 років тому +3

      +Cody Clark About shoulder height. The aim of step one is to teach you the first half of the back-tuck that is to jump up, getting full extension and initiating the tuck. The mats are expected to catch you during your rotation at the height of your jump. If they're hip height and you're doing the exercise correctly, you'd land in an awkward position that isn't necessarily safe and it doesn't teach the right principles.

    Is it common for adults going in and getting gymnastic lessons>? I really want to.. but I'm embarrassed being late 20's n all.. I'm from Perth and all iv'e seen is jungle gym lol

    • @TysonE
      @TysonE  8 років тому +2

      +Peeenos There is nothing embarrassing about wanting to improve your body's functionality and gymnastics is one of the best movements to undertake for that.
      Most gymnastics centres should offer adult classes or 'open gym' which is for adults to come in and train. Sometimes they're for adults to come in and do their own thing and sometimes they're instructed (you can enquire about this before going to the class if you want). Some gyms will only be for children, I call them 'kindergyms' and their facilities won't cater for adults.
      I did a quick Google 'Perth Gymnastics' and Active Gymnastics and High Flyers - Trampoline and Gymnastics Academy offer adult classes. Just make some calls :)

      You'll get there! Out of interest, what is hard about it?

    I can backflip, but I’ve never landed it on ground.
    Just on my knees...

    • @TysonE
      @TysonE  6 років тому

      Probs breaking out too early (therefore hold tuck longer) or not jumping high enough (therefore refer to step 1).

    I'm pretty sure he has done a back tuck before seeing how he caught it that fast

      Nope, I was always scared to try on my own. The equipment available, plus trust in Tyson and the progressions chosen contributed to a two hour session free from fear.

    They totally practised that before.. Cant prove that but the way he is doing all these exercises to prepare for the back tuck looks really like he already did it before. No hate man
