thank you everything you mentioned I was doing all wrong leaning forward looking at the ground Leaping too much and now I can land in a standing position
Thank you for this! My frontflip have always been weak. Using a shorter leap is opposite of what I've been taught through the years so excited to try it out. Also the arm movement in the leap will be interesting to try out.
Thanks man! I've been hoping to do a tutorial of a front flip for one of the next videos of my channel but could never seem to do it properly enough to teach! With yours and Pigmie's help, I think I'll have the video uploaded in about a week! Thank you so much! Also nice front flip, round off to back flip! I've been working on that too but haven't been able top get the front flip part yet!
„Diving into the sky“ is a really great tip. I will remember this one. My problem with front flips is exactly the leaning forward thing. But I feel as soon as I try to jump more upwards I rotate a lot slower and land on my butt. When I jump more forward the rotation is easier and I land at least on my feet but very low. How can I change that???
Yes! that's the balance you have to find :) Although, performing a running punch front somersault, you already have momentum carrying you forward so you are able to focus a lot more on sending it up. It is practice though to find the right balance of height and rotation.
Thank you so much!!!!! Front flips are even harder than back flips. I can do a back full, flash kick, and even rodeo back flip, but my front flip isn't so good.
Yeah #3 my coach said to not look at the ground and once I looked up higher I started landing it and we do a ton of tumbling and I love it I just wish she would of told me earlier
Much love man thank you for this. I have been wanting a tutorial like this. Like I can do a castaway and devil drops. But my front flip hurt every time and looks ugly when I land them and I know it’s bc I need a better front flip. This should help me a lot. Thank you
+CalisthenicsA3 Thanks man. I can't aerial very well so I don't think I'd be much help there. You don't necessarily seek to have high aerials either. If you're just looking for a tutorial with tips on how to perform the aerial, I recall using Jujimufu's vids back in the day. P.S. Flexibility is key.
+Tyson Edwards Thanks man. Thumbs up for being humble and to resist temptation of giving bro tips on subject you don't feel being expert in. I'll check what that crazy acrobolix hulk has in his archives.
Great vid, where should someone start who's completely new to tumbling? Like someone who can't even do a cart wheel. Could you do some tutorials showing some very basic tumbling skills?
+Cody Clark I personally started tumbling on haggard mattresses in my backyard, haha! The proper way would be to go to a gymnastics centre and get a coach to help you out or at the very least take advantage of all their equipment (mats, foam pit, trampoline etc). Basics for tumbling would be front flip and back flip. If you're completely new to tumbling the basics would include skills like forward roll, back roll, cartwheel, round off and plenty of jumping skills that don't necessarily involve going upside down like straddle jumps, tuck jumps, pike jumps etc that will start to develop your aerial awareness. Trampolines are great because they give you a lot more time to perform skills and prepare yourself for the landing. I'll try get some more basic tutorials out but in the mean time there is the forward roll tutorial over on the +RingFrat channel: ua-cam.com/video/XPlsmgMLf8E/v-deo.html
After a knee injury I finally got to work on my front tuck a few times now and your tips really helped me, but I just seem to have a problem with landing it, I can usually kind of land on my feet, but I fall backwards almost instantly, do you have any tips for that?
Can you give me advice cos my set is good but my landing i always land on butt because when I'm in the air after rotating i kick my legs out and heels first then on my butt
Hi I'm a girl and age 12. I'm struggling to land it as I land in a squat really far forwards but I can jump high enough ( my gymnastic couch said it was high) I can do it on a spring floor at gymnastics but not outside. Do you have any tips for me?? Btw, I do it without someone standing in
These steps (particularly step 4) will give you the height for a step out. The actual step out just takes some balls to do at first and then just drill the hell out of it to get used to the feeling. Biggest mistake is when people try to start learning the step out, they anticipate it, don't finish the flip and under rotate.
now if you land on your feet low squatting, you have to get height and convert it into the tightest tuck, your legs should touch your shoulders, believe me you will hit it up if you can tuck after getting height like an bomb thats about to explode
Sir, what is your email address I can use to send you a video of me doing a front flip, so you can see what's wrong with it? I liked your video, and want to be able to flip just like that.
Hey Charles, If you'd like more help, send an inquiry to TheTysonEdwards@gmail.com. It's a paid service though you'll get detailed personalized advice. Cheers!
I'm landing on my feet, but very low. Whatever I do, I can't land standing up, no matter what I try. I posted the video on my channel. Does anyone know exactly what I need to improve on?
Sadly, all of these are not my problems. 9-year-olds has some different problems, trying to land our front flip higher. I normally go over my shoulder to increase my shoulder speed and make my rotation at quick as possible, not looking at all and in fact, going faster in advance. The reason why we go so fast is because we don't have JUMP height, so we need TUCK ROTATION down.
thank you everything you mentioned I was doing all wrong leaning forward looking at the ground Leaping too much and now I can land in a standing position

100% not for people who know how to do frontflips but also those who struggle to learn. #3 helps a lot for me. Look where you want to go.

Nice tutorial. Will try to apply your tips. Can you also make one for aerial?

Technique. Technique will give you more power.

Front step out tutorial?

how do you spin faster
Tuck as tight as you can!
now if you land on your feet low squatting, you have to get height and convert it into the tightest tuck, your legs should touch your shoulders, believe me you will hit it up if you can tuck after getting height like an bomb thats about to explode
tip 3 is the problem that i was doing wrong
I Need to work on my height cause I squat when I land

I can do a frontflip on a trampoline with almost no bounce, but when I try on ground i just cant do the jump, i get scared . . .
Wow its been a while
UPDATE: I can do standing fronts on ground and land them almost every single time.
I'm landing on my feet, but very low. Whatever I do, I can't land standing up, no matter what I try. I posted the video on my channel. Does anyone know exactly what I need to improve on?
john johnson your letting go to late I. your tuck
I can't land though
Sadly, all of these are not my problems.
9-year-olds has some different problems, trying to land our front flip higher.

The reason why we go so fast is because we don't have JUMP height, so we need TUCK ROTATION down.
I can do it but idk how to spot
Start just by looking forwards when you flip. From there you can work on the timing.
Nice
I can frontflip flat but I have one hand on the ground
Im on Mars Now, how to get back?
I keep on landing on my bum can someone help
