    Walk, don't run.
    Good effort, but you're inviting injury.

    Take this as constructive criticism. That was not an iron cross hold, at best it was an eccentric descent but still pretty impressive for this being your first 2 months of training. I highly raccomend that you work a lot on conditining yout tendons before trying free iron cross holds, it's a huge stress for your biceps and chest and you could get hurt very easily (try iron cross pulse with elastic bands or training it in an assisted variation). Keep it up with the hard work and good luck ;)

      Ayy you’re totally right man, when I posted this a couple of years ago I didn’t even really know what a good iron cross looked like, I was kinda getting ahead of myself in naming what I was doing as an iron cross. I trained from this point on for another 9 or 10 months hard in gymnastics movements and got a lot closer to a full cross, then I moved onto more Olympic style weightlifting training, I still practice it sometimes, it’s just not my end goal anymore, just kind of for fun.

    This is a great inspiration. At 64yo, I am encouraged to keep at it.

    Geez man, that is impressive for only 2 months in.
    I got a pair of rings 4 months back and have been doing dips, push-ups, pull-ups, rows, and a couple static holds. But I'm not anywhere near being able to do a muscle up, or anything involving being upside down.

    The fact that you did this in 2 months is insane. Did you train everyday for this?

      Thank you! And Ya, this was a couple of years ago when I was training on the rings really hard, I was doing the rings 5x a week, sometimes twice a day and then leg day once a week.

    Enjoy your body while you are young. It starts going away fast when you stop using it in your mid 20's, keep doing what youre doing though and you will keep it till youre old. Avoid injury though bro!

    Dude have you been training before this 2 months journey? Because its hardly believable if this is your first time training and doing ring muscle ups in just 2 months of training.

    Hard to believe it only took you two months to get all that progress. Maybe that's the case with you. However, in my view, it casts the wrong light on the training. Because I believe that you have to train for a long time and hard to be able to do certain exercises properly. Nevertheless my respect. 😎

    • @davidblattgym
      @davidblattgym  2 роки тому

      I totally agree with you, when I first got these I was obsessed, like I would spend hours upon hours 6-7 days a week on them. And looking back I didn’t take the time to learn all the exercises properly but that’s part of the fun of having videos like these to look back in yk?

    • @philippb.7881
      @philippb.7881 2 роки тому

      @@davidblattgym I can understand that very well. It's just incredibly fun to train on the rings. You can be so incredibly creative. That's why I don't want to do without them in my training anymore. And yes, it was a lot of fun watching the video. So they have reached their goal. Fun trying out the rings and fun for the viewers of the video. :)
