So interesting that I did the exact opposite. I started wit hall imagination and built my techniques like perspective and anatomy later. Little did I know that I was learning the whole time I was imagining because it was making me LOOK harder and really SEE.
you know about the interesting thing about his quest of getting coffee? aside from being a cool little break in the video, it indicates a VERY important part of the art making and learning process: "touching grass". The brain needs these breaks to process the information more efficiently and it also has the side effect of inspiring new ideas at times.
i agree with you so much. I want to slip into my art videos some little motivational hints about getting in physical shape in general. Because i think physical health is too often under-appreciated by the art community
@@massa_art i hope... i hope its going bad rn.. i cant do pose and i draw them many also i started draw when y upload frist video so... many time passed
@@LOREk.future you will look back at this comment and be both grateful and proud that present you has not given up. Keep at it with the gesture and the figure construction, you are building skills and muscle memory that will stay with you forever
Insta360 X4 - it was my first time using it, there’s a lot of cool shots possible with it that I’m yet to explore. Glad you enjoyed it! If you have video requests feel free to drop a comment on any of my videos 🙌
As always, I love your videos! They are funny and high quality content as well. I have one question though: How would you change the process if you only had access to pen (or pencil) and paper?
Great question 🙌 I only started doing digital 6 months ago and my process has evolved a lot. Mainly though, it has expanded instead of changed: before, with paper, i would stop at the inks, and would rarely do color (light). But the rest is similar: all the iterations for the 60s sketches and the substitutions would be done with pencil, rough thumbnails on separate sheets of paper. I used to use a lot of paper 😅 not using loads of paper is actually something i’m quite happy about with going digital
Massa, you are a talented creator and I really appreciate your videos. I apologies if you have already covered this, but can you specify what tablet, pen and software you use to create your digital art?
No need for apologies 🤗 i use the ipad with the apple pencil (not the most recent one) - the software is Procreate. I really like it. And on the ipad i’ve added a screen protector that gives a bit of texture which makes it feel a bit more like paper, it is called “paperlike”

👏 that nuance of look at something in 3d vs seeing the 2 projection goes a very long way!
