@@KfarShakshuka oh youre fine as long as your levers are set to climb you should be fine! You probably have your speed indicator set at a certain speed :)
Thanks bro finally finished my flight from JFK to Person in Toronto. She kept full throttling on me as soon as I was 500 ft from the runway after this video is the first time I had a touchdown and a decent bounce. I was the only one clapping
Very Helpful, a tip: try to add timestamps in Future tutorials to make it easier If someone wants to watch a specific part. It a bit more work but it's gonna be worth it😉
The problems I’ve had with this is after takeoff, the plane would over speed (sometimes over 300 kts), and the autopilot would increase the pitch to an unreasonably high angle/vertical speed, then suddenly jolt it down to a more normal pitch.
I see you are in managed speed mode on the runway. What allows you to select that mode ? I cannot ?? Is it in the MCDU ? Also just to be clear is the MANAGED selection Mouse click the top of the kknob ?? I seem to have similar issues with Heading knob. Thanks for the good work.
Great video. It would be good to mention, that in planes like Beechcraft King Air 350i clicking altitude button will only set preferred altitude to current one. After selecting the altitude you need to modify vertical speed as well. If this is wrong or if there is any other way please let me know!
I have not tinkered around with the Beechcraft King Air 350i to know about the autopilot system just yet but for the airbus you dont really need to touch vertical speed although you may if you like :)
Thank you for another very informative video. Can you please explain the speed limits variation with altitude. I always thought that the higher the altitude, the higher the speed, but it seems to be the other way around...
Hey man, no matter what I do; I follow your instructions exactly but nothing works. It looks like the gps gets total control. The only instrument that works is the outopilot to wherever it is pre-set. How can I disable the gps?
just seeing if you could help me, followed this video, however whenever i get to around 26,000ft, the engines roll back and i cant really do anything, can never get higher then 26,000ft 25,000ft is fine but moment i hit 26,000ft everything falls apart
nice video, thanks. What I don't really get, you said AT works in the range from idle to climb, but you left the throttle in CLB the whole time and the AT still did work?
It's me again :) the basics are simple, but how much I can keep the HDG mode to keep my designed ILS (I can go straight hdg till I want?). What's the right altitude value, the highest for the cruise? Can i try to reach directly from the take off even if the ils limit info buttons shows precise altitude value? Thanks :) hard to understand these parts.
I think ILS and LOC/Approach is broke for some airports. After following the majority of every video you posted thus far (Thank you again) for some cities (KBOS = Boston) ILS/LOC Approach keeps landing me into the city lmao.
Is it possible to hand fly it without using the autopilot knobs? When I descend for landing is it possible for the autothrottle to get the speed down without my input on the knob?
You can always fly the plane manually no issues there ive done it a few times in my full flight videos. For autothrottle you need to use the knob to get the exact speed you want. Otherwise you can turn it off completely and use manual thrust
Still can’t figure this out. My thrust lever is in between 0 and CLIMB. The A/THR button is selected on the dash. I’m flying at 270-ish kn but set my autothrottle to 265 kn, engage it. The engines slow and my speed drops to about 260 kn and VERY slowly declines. Any reason this could be happening?
Decivye unfortunately my game decided to crash for some reason so i can’t show it (even if you could post pictures to UA-cam comments??) but the throttle lever was about halfway in between 0 and CL. As for the dash, A/THR was selected at the speed I needed it, heading and altitude were working just fine. I had been running it on autopilot for about 2 hours (before it crashed) and the only thing I had to change was my heading periodically to stay on track and adjusting my throttle to stay at the speed I needed it since auto throttle wasn’t working. Not really sure what you could devise with that info but regardless the flights over haha. Would definitely like to figure it out for future flights though.
@@Decivye I'll have to try this next time I fly, I've been having the same issue on at least half my flights! I also had one time where ATC told me to descend to 3,000 and go to the ILS approach, and I selected 3,000 and pressed the button and then the plane just kept descending past that until it crashed while I tried to set up the approach, even though the display showed 3,000 selected. I hadn't pressed the localizer button or anything yet. I wonder if you could look into some of the bugs in the autopilot and make a video explaining why they happen and how to avoid them?
The best flight tutorial on UA-cam. You actually took the time to explain and showed us different scenarios. Great work
Thank you I really appreciate that! Glad you found this helpful! :)
Decivye one question though, when I set it to Climb it says CL instead of auto. When I set the throttle at around 50% in that area it says auto
@@KfarShakshuka what do you mean? where does it say auto?
Decivye on the center screen above the throttle

Excellent explanation on every point.
Extremely easy to understand.
Kudos for your great teaching skills.

Great video as always. A question though, will you be covering the Flight Management System (calculator looking like thing)?
Yes eventually I will touch on the more advanced stuff as we progress as I need to brush up on it as well :)

The problems I’ve had with this is after takeoff, the plane would over speed (sometimes over 300 kts), and the autopilot would increase the pitch to an unreasonably high angle/vertical speed, then suddenly jolt it down to a more normal pitch.
Remember to set throttles to the climb option after takeoff
Same thing happens with me too , gear up just after take off and flaps normal and reduce speed near 270

Try KPVD to KBOS and see if you have the same issues.

I do it when the pink diamond reaches the middle line or if its a little above it.
