korn will always be my number 1 fave,i was 8 when follow the leader dropped i was too young to really engage in the full hype seen here, but i still listened to it in the car or at home anyway im 28 now and im still listening.

I remember not going to the Korn Kampaign in Detroit bcuz I thought the lines would be insane, which they were, it started at 4pm and my friends told me Korn stayed until ELEVEN O'CLOCK AT NIGHT AND SIGNED FOR EVERY LAST FUCKING FAN!!!!!!!! FLY TO A CITY AND SIGN AUTOGRAPHS FOR 8 HOURS?!? Jesus, that's pretty awesome and humble.

The mixed reactions for Follow the Leader are telling. I did sound a bit different and it wasn't as good as the first album, that is what my reaction when I first heard the album.

even back then there were selfish fans with that “pLeAsE dOnT Go MaInStrEAm wE wAnT yOu tO bE oUr LiTtlE sEcreT FoReVeR.” mindset. can’t stand fans like that. i never understood the mindset of not wanting your favorite artist/artists to succeed and spread their music to as many people as possible. hate that mindset man.

Korn is Metal not NU METAL they hate that label. Korn is simply heavy Metal fuck that stupid Nu Metal labeling i hate the negative connotation it has. Korn's old stuff was very heavy. Post 90's albums sucked for the most part other than a few songs like Here to Stay and Did My Time.
+Craig Hauser well nu metal is metal, and to me there's nothing negative with that genre as a label, personally I feel it fits their old sound best so that's what I refer to them as, I know they didn't like it but lots of bands have rejected being a part of a genre that they clearly are a part of musically, doesn't mean they aren't

Nu Metal was aterm generated by the record industry and media. Korn are influenced by rock, metal, funk and hip hop, and the record company was looking to market it as a musical revolution or a new wave of metal. New metal. Nu metal. see?
Korn ain't metal lol wth. Metal is the Legendary Iron Maiden, Judas Preist, Megadeth, Metallica, Fates warning etc bands like that, eevn JD hates being called metal, they are their own sound but they are more Heavy Rock funk Fusion hip hop.
