There is no denying he had talent even without a band. Holy shit!!!!! This is good.
Queen of the damned soundtrack was a testament of how talented he is.
dude is legion status
Tell me not... They should make a movie on JDs life before korn and begin it in high school and end it after korns self titled was a success.... So it'd probably be a long movie because that's covering his sexart times high school times, recording things in high school and what he did outside of school. That'd be fucking great but I don't know who would play him. Please share this to at least try and get it out there to be made because I know all of you think about what he went through in life
Shit sexart was a supergroup
I would love a movie about Jonathan Davis's past. That's mainly because it would be filmed right here in Bakersfield.
I would legitimately donate $1000 to that movie to help make it happen 🤣
@G0TH1C if were gonna do that we should make a movie about Mudvayne, Staind, Disturbed, and everything else we could think of that got famous around that time.
Then make a movie about Limp Bizkit
For all you Dub Step haters J.D.'s been doing this shit a long time! This is one of the first recordings of J.D. ever!
This song sounds like a combination of both 80s pop synth bands The human league & Depeche Mode.
@Rob H. Messed up.
@Rob H. really?
Proud husband of the girl that this song was written about.
@Rickey Ryan chill out luv
because it was, it was made in the time period dummy..
Hearing this gives me nostalgia of something I didn't live. Wth.
Almost like we lived the 60's? Weird I know
It sounds like stuff I used to hear.
Dude he would fit RIGHT in the New York freestyle wave back in the late 80s early 90s. this is some good shit
I think they called this stuff new wave back in the day. Jonathan Davis is insanely talented making music. its takes all five guy in korn to really make korn what it is even without David I think Ray is the better drummer and korn has evolved bigger then what it would have with David. But there is no questions that Jon Davis is the driving force of Korn
So much talent. ❤️❤️❤️ this dude is my idol.
This is frickin' awesome! I was so into this style music in high school also. I would have been head over heels in love with him back then just the same as I am now though I'm a few years older than he. I love you so much JD. You are a talent extraordinare! XO
I've listen to this song thousands of times. I used to sleep to this song on repeat every night. I'm not kidding.
@HilljackZack me three
@The Morning Coffee me too!
I've just finished listening to this song for the first time.
So you were there?
He went from this to koRn and its unbelievable
@Niko Götz it's so predictable
Niko Götz - That joke was really good....
other way around
how can you not love him??
He makes some of the best music, also seems like a really cool guy to hang out with.
Easy, you don't. Nah for real tho Jonny boy is impossible to hate, unless you're a stereotypical teenager that says "Hashtag" under your breath every 10 seconds
Midniight I love you guys
You can clearly hear The Cure influence in this, very awesome JD.
I love you Jonathan you saved my life!
Johnix777 he saved me too.
Johnix777 he fucked my head all up XDDDDC
Music in his blood since the beginning, Jonathan's Awesome! He kicks ass!
perfect for my one man darkroom disco nights
i love Jonathan voice
This is bloody freaking good!!!! What a shame he got bullied for it!!!!!!!
I always thought he had some inspirations in Depeche Mode . This footage prove it. Thank you!
Electro, House, Hi-nrg, Freestyle, and Synth pop all in one track, impressive. Deserves a remake
His voice when he was in high school... So cute. The start of his musical career was building up slowly but surely. Damn good bop!
homeboy Jon droppin that new wave shit!!!! it's lit!!!!!
And this is why J.D. loves dubstep and dance music so much! He is getting back to his true roots this way!
This is some good stuff. You go, Jonathan!
I'm so gonna blast this at my goth club night here in Bakersfield XD Kiss Kiss Bang Bang loves this dope ass demo💜
I wanna know too
Kryptic Lover so... how did it go? Did u play it? 🤔
I love this. Can't stop listening to it.
My music hero, I have nothing but love for you John
This is so fucking hard. I love old school electro and synthpop, the shit I’ve always made is a blend of this (electro pop) and industrial / black metal screaming, I think this must be why I love Davis so much.
So many fucking nights, I have slept to this song on loop. It's really relaxing!
Early Ministry sounded like this too.This is what Nine Inch Nails sounds like NOW.This style is coming back.
this is GREAT!!! the genre really reminds me of My Birthday Massacre, and I used to be Hooked on this band. check them out
this song is so calming
She has a good voice either way
You have no idea what you’ve done for me JD. Thank you so much for saving my life.
hip hop beat/ new wave synth mixed with new romance vocals equal dope. Lovin this
he has so much range
jam714 I thought you said rage😂
You have no idea how much I appreciate ripping and hosting this in 320
brilliant. even this school demo is better electronic/goth/wave music than smashing pumpkins new record!!
Dear God, what CAN'T he do?!
I love it 😚
JON REGRESA A ESTE ESTILO TE LO PIDO DE RODILLAS🙏🙏
I'm really surprised how good it is.
I would start to break dance, but I can't break dance. *Holds back* 😆
Recorded way after highschool during a breakup with a long term Gf. 1 of 2 songs, that I'm aware of, that he said are specifically about that Gf.
The Cure influence is all over this track, I’m not into pop or rap at all but good music is good music
I remember I did a remake/cover of this (just instrumental) for a final project my senior year
So he has always had talent and a good ear
how the hell did you find this?!
@790757 6743 well thats a good possibility
@Axl Reese maybe someone from his HS? I think I remember an interview where JD said he used to like give out tapes of his music or sell them something like that. He was a DJ so... Possibly someone found his tapes and decided to upload it online, idk.
I love you my man and the rest of my brethren that listsn to this stuff im not for this brainwashing bullshit of today
ShadowCrowX thats my question bro hhaahaha
This is flat out A M A Z I N G.
I’m digging it, but I’m a sucker for 80s new wave synth stuff
I remember I read korns book life in the pit and jonathan davis said that back in high school he was into duran duran depeche mode etc. this is definately influenced by groups like them.
Wonder if Jon ever listened to speed garage.. the twisting gnarly basslines are like nu metals cousin genre
soa como funk brasileiro 90's.... provavelmente vieram da mesma referência
80s funk with a 90s rave twist
simply fucking amazing. He is a fucking genius.
just as good as anything else korn did. chillwave decades before that term was even a thing
id pay at least 30 bucks for a whole album of this kinda lofi shit
Jonathan Davis is the kind of guy you just want to be quiet with. The you do your thing and I’ll do mine but I want to be near you kind of guy. Subtle observation can be very intimate. Talking is so overrated.
this is a Pretty Good Song... i think Jonathan Davis should Remix it a little and put it on his Dubstep Cd
i really wish i was already born when korn first started :( ahhh
I want them to republish Neidermeyer's mind! Play the 4 songs on that track the same way they did when they first made them (but better because they have gotten better).
wow... finally someone replys to this. thank you man! it should happen. instead of people thinking about what happened to JD and what happened with slipknot, put it on motion picture. hey man, we should try and contact a director or something... i think it could be pulled off easily
I will play it again and again my god
in there mtv unplugged he already said that he was a fan of robert smith of the cure back in high school, i appreciate how he try on this genre
This is fucking dope I love this one and this is before korn and his other band
He wore eye liner and was really into the new romantic style I believe it was called, Duran Duran etc,
Its goth elemental music
Marina Marchese the chauffeur is his favorite song so he did that one
@Alyus Dickey Is it Rio ?
@Alyus Dickey Which one ?
Sym metry he even did a Duran Duran cover
Jonathan Davis looks like football legend Peyton Manning in that picture.
Certainly what I was sort of thinking.
Chicken Parm you taste so good. lol
this is not dubstep this is darkwave through and through
Nice Kraftwerk samples ! It sounds like Information Society and that's pretty good for a "demo" !
wow this song is rlly good :)
I love this
I'm glad to be from a home town of the best band ever BAKERSFIELD!!!!!
Well john was part of the goth subculture so this music I am sure fits right in. I am not a true goth so I don't really know for sure. Can anyone from the lower 90's goth culture agree or disagree with this music?
Brandon Jenner I'm not gothic so I don't think I can help but I can be pretty damn close though at times
Thats a very good point there my friend. I was thinking the exact same thing about Slipknot not to mention that they have a very long history and movies about slipknot and korn should really be made. I mean, They made a movie about Eminem called 8 Mile for Christ sake! :S.
That is dope !
esto es hermoso y desconocido
OMG this sound like Depeche MODE I loved, and he loks like young Dave Gahan
Only he's much much better than Dave Gahan!
Well it is said on Wiki that our boy's fav band were Flock of Seagulls. Also there are videos with him covering Duran Duran, u can check it out. So its very evident even now how sensitive and st shy JD is. So for me its not a big surprise. New Wave was so popular all throughout 80s: Soft Cell, New Order, DM, Roxy Music, Visage, Talk Talk etc. And even now there are new bands. For example this song sounds very similar to early Lust for Youth demos
wow this is some rare shit, thanks for the upload!
Holy shit he sounds like American robert smith!!!!
oooo please someone get JD to remaster this!!
Jonathan voice is so strange and mysterious here.. but the lyrics are pretty good! :)
His voice is Georgus dah
Looks like Depeche Mode style (Violator Era). And there are some Kraftwerk beats (2:04)
This does sounds like Depeche Mode.
this a banger
anything...did, is, and is to come. I have been a fan for 15 years now.
Doesn't sound bad at all actually, except for the quality. Reminds me a bit of Nine Inch Nails as well, but less aggressive.
14 years old when he did this
The keyboards remind me of the original fright night movie.
Makes me think of my crush and why did she reject me
Fucking ace. Brilliant man.
This would’ve been an interesting Korn song if you would replace the beats for meaty drums, bass, and guitars.
Jonathan was into new wave before
actually is pretty awesome XD
Nice. I like it. VERY 80s. But, yes.
Hahahaha same goes for me!
this is pretty fucking good just saying he was my age and now hes even better
love it! + there is a little kraftwerk sample in it @2min5
