The songs you brought to this channel are above ethereal, often times i find myself inspired while listening to them. the world would be so boring without synths...
It's beautiful, by the way. Hence being inspired... I'm going to make my own shimmer delay by using a MASSIVE reverb/delay, going through a tremolo... Cheap n cheerful!
Can you touch on the sound in the first minute? Was that all from the minilogue? I'm new to synthesizers, trying to learn about how sequencers work and all. Also how did you connect the volca bass to the minilogue?
Sure! The patch on the Minilogue is a saw wave with slow attack that has been filtred down. The Minilogue and Volca Bass are connected to their own inputs on my Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. The audio from that is going in to FL Studio. That way I can apply different effects to them. On the Minilogue I'm using Valhalla Supermassive and Shimmer. Hope that helps!
I would love to hear you do a cover of the Phantasy Star II theme from Sega Genesis / Mega Drive on the Volca FM, the soundchip is already FM based so it should be a good fit. It’s an underappreciated song too.
I'll have a look at it. What is the actual name of the song tho? Is it the first track (phantasy) in this video? ua-cam.com/video/kCifBNvRLgI/v-deo.html
@@RemixSample Yes, it's the first song in that video. Though if you like any other song better in the soundtrack I'll settle for that. The every song is stellar, pun intended.
Very inspirational When I need some creative ideas I always stop by here. Valhalla and Supermassive together. That's a lot of reverb. Have you ever tried Echoboy in your mixes?
Hi! How did you create the initial bass lines on minilogue? they're deep and present at the same time! i can't do this with mine. Are you using some different patch? Or which sound and settings? Thank you very much in advance.. i'm looking for this kind of sounds and can't succeed, so your help would be very appreciate! Always follow your work :)
Hi! The Volca Bass has three oscillators that I detuned a bit to get a more bassy sound. I also added distortion to it to make it even fatter. I wouldn't not be able to get that exact bass sound on the minilogue because it only has two oscillators. But if you put in in Unison mode you can get close.
Wow that volca bass in tiny raw heavy duty Monster under the hood :) pleasant great sounds as always. Thanks for post. May I ask what sound interface you have to connect all these
since i saw your videos of the volca keys, i always knew you were keep getting attention of your talent and passion. i have a question tho... do you record with a mixer? keep up your great work!

You can make cool sounds only using the Minilouge but you need to add effects to it to make it sound like this. If you get the Minilogue XD you get a lot of good effects built in to the synth so you don't have to use external guitar effect pedals or connect the synth to your computer.
im still learning how use synths, would the standard minilogue be a better option? and are you able to download different sounds and patches onto ur own minilogue?@@RemixSample
Yes, get a Minilogue XD. That's a great synth to learn on and it sounds great too!@@yves_tumorThe Minilogue XD has better built in sound effects and you can import custom sounds and oscillators people program for it.
is the importing and programming not possible at all for the standard minilogue? i did see some sound packs online for download but i was just curious, since the xd is quite pricey @@RemixSample
you should check the movie 2046 it has an incredible soundtrack and an incredible story, it might inspire you in vibe for an ambient Amazing video as always and inspiring! 🖤
"Improvisation without a plan" sounds like a perfect plan to me!
Yes I prefer it! :D
The songs you brought to this channel are above ethereal, often times i find myself inspired while listening to them.

Love the world I get teleported into when listening to your music.
I don't think anyone has this down so good: amazing music (amazing talent) combined with the visual (the lighting is always so good).
Thanks! :D
Шикарно, завораживающе, атмосферно. Браво! Вы гений!
Спасибо!
Epic improv. I love listening to your music while I'm going on night rides on my Onewheel.
Nice! Sounds awesome!
I find such an approach more organic than composing something till everything is in its right place :) Beautiful sound :)
Just shimmer on the volca? Beautiful
I think so and some distortion.
i only recently got my Minilogue, and videos like this are so incredibly inspiring. the only downside is now i really want a Volca bass too...
Love the patch...❤👌
underated
Improvisation without a plan....thats daily business on my Channel. Great jam Love it
These vibrations are immaculate
Thank you!
What can I say. It's good as always :-)
Thank you! :D
Great improvisation!
Cheers!
Beautiful and amazing! You improvising to see what happens would be a finished masterpiece to many composers.
Thanks a lot Peter! I definitely prefer to improvise over producing so I'm happy you think so!
Beautiful 🍀👍
First notes, and I knew this was an inspirational track...super...and...too bad I have no more space for a minilogue 😉😊
Thanks for checking it out Melissa! 🙏
The Volca Bass is the first synth I bought and it's so much fun to explore the range of sounds it has. Awesome video.
Thanks! Yes it's very versatile and can sound really beefy!
Amazing Improvisations, infinite landscapes
Amazing ❤
A musical journey through time 🕜 and space. 🌌

I recreated the first sequence on my minilogue xd and had so much fun. Thank you so much.
Oh cool! No problem! :D
just found out this one, great stuff.
Thank you!
Totally love your synth jam videos - the sound, the aesthetic, the overall feel 💯💯💯♥
Thank you! :D

Very inspiring video...great set ... Gave me goosebumps... 🔥👍👍👍 Is that your own patch on the miniloque xd or is that one of the default presets?
Thank you! I don't remember tbh but I usually modify the sounds a bit myself.
This is amazing 🖤 fav style of synthetic ambience
Perfect 🤩
absolutely stunning, you re the best of the best
Thanks Francis!
Sounds wonderful!
Thanks Scott!
Nice! Helps me to calm down!

Hey Felipe! Thank you!
And now I must get a volca bass to go along with my xdeeeee
It's a great combo! The Volca Bass is really powerful!

Hey! Yes, I use it from time to time. My favorite Soundtoys effect is the Crystallizer though.
@@RemixSample With a little tweaking and not overdone, Crystallizer is a nice reverb

supercool. love my minilogue xd. that volca sounds mean

I've got a monologue & a volca keys. I'll have bash tonight. Use the behringer neutron as bass! (Or the 303 clone....)
great !!!!!!!!!! respect & greetings

Thanks! I use a Scarlett 2i2 interface.
sympa!
nice - still using valhalla fx and a daw?
Yes that's right.
How did you play the volca bass without a power cable??? 😮
All the Volcas can be powered with six AA batteries.
Beautiful :-)
Thanks! :D
since i saw your videos of the volca keys, i always knew you were keep getting attention of your talent and passion. i have a question tho... do you record with a mixer?

Hey! I'll add it to the to-do list! Those two synths pair up well! 🎶
Does the minilogue allow you to play over its sequence? Or are you using a DAW to loop?
Yes you can enter a sequence and play over it but you are limited to the 4 voices of the Minilogue. So in this video the looping is happening on the Minilogue.
Ah that makes sense. Awesome 😎
I’ve been watching a few of your vids, fantastic work mate.
Awesome! Very reminiscent of Carbon Based Lifeforms (and that’s meant as a huge compliment, not as criticism)
Thank you!

Do you use ableton or analogue effects for compression for the Volca bass?
I use FL Studio and I Believe I used the built in Limiter for this.
Hi do you have an album of your ambient synth music available to buy?
Hi! Yes you can find a lot of my music here: remixsample.bandcamp.com/
Is this running through a delay or echo or is this just the volca and mini login?
The audio goes into my computer via a usb audio interface. I'm using two software effects, Valhalla Shimmer and Valhalla Supermassive.
Many thanks for the reply, great sounds as always.

Good luck o corse, but Putch No 1&2 souns too rough
I just bought microkorg and I'm now regreting it
I've never used one but they seem very versitable so I'm sure you can make something similar with it.
Making me want to sell my Model D for a Volca bass 🤣
Please don't! 🤣
