Fam of your music and channel! Mine just arrived yesterday. In the last month I bought the Roland S1 and loved it. Then bought the J6, equally as good! My Volca FM is now waiting to be explored, thanks for inspiring me!
I was listen all music what you do... And i should say, that it one of the greatest experience of my life... i dont know why, but its makes me happy. Dont understand how people can make somethink like this?! Excellent work with deep soul thx you.
I just bought my first Volca Bass.... It is just a begin...I'm not musician I hope just get some fun. Your Job is the most terrific I've listened in a lot of time.. I'm glad to find you
you are one of not so many people who are capable of making the best out of so little gear, just with passion work and talent. thank you for taking the time to give all this to us.
Oh wow! Yup, definitely going to get this next. I have the Beats and Bass Synthesizers. I've used them to make industrial music, and Dark Ambient music.
Nice! Yeah you are going to love the Volca FM. Especially if you get the latest version with 6 voices. It's so diverse when it comes to the sound it makes so it will fit the styles of music you are into for sure.
Thanks Todd! Well you kinda saw it as it happened. Besides the backing track I played/noodled this live as I browse through the presets on the Korg Volca FM. The backing track was made by stretching a short loop I had made earlier with Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch. I'm working on the tutorial side of things. One day! :D
For years, Deckard lived alone in the old casino hotel. A neighbor, living many blocks away in the abandoned city of Las Vegas, had taken up beekeeping. Deckard never talked to the guy, didn't know if the bees were real; but replicants couldn't reproduce so they must be. Well, most replicants, anyway. He thought of Rachel once more as he stood on the balcony with his dog, looking out on the wind-swept desert.
@@RemixSample I really think you'll like it!? It's off their first album "tired eyes slowly burning". From 1987. It's a collaboration between cEvin Key of "skinny puppy/download" and Edward ka-spel of "the legendary pink dots".
Honest question (From someone who wants to buy a Volca FM 2 but cannot justify the purchase right now....Can you get this same sound using Dexed and Valhalla Shimmer? (I.e. software only)???
I'd love to ask you some questions about the Volca line. I'm a drummer with a roland spd-30, korg waver drum, mpc-40, ableton, etc but the only hardware "synths" I have are an roland mc-307 groovebox and a Novation mininova. I also have the RC-505 loop station. I'm currently seeting everything up to record and start posting videos. Im a huge cyberpunk fan (Im 45) so this king of music and synthwave/vapor is part of my DNA. Based on what I already have and what I'd like to do, ..ethereal electro and synthwave what Volca(s) would you most recommend?
Reminds me a lot of 36 - Pulse Dive if you haven't heard it. Just needs some slight reverb'd percussion to be in the same vein. Good stuff. I really want to get a Volca FM and run it through my Ventris reverb for stuff like this. Cheers!
Great work dude! I'm new to synth ant wanted to ask you how exactly you've set up you're volca fm so you're able to put effects from inside a DAW on it and still play in real time? Keep doing what you're doing man, people are loving it.
I just connect the Volca FM to my Focusrite audio interface with a audio cable. I can then monitor the sound live in my DAW and apply vst fx to that audio in channel. It's a very simple setup that you can do in most daws. Thanks, will do! :D
I have watched all you volca vids, reeeaaaally amazing. I am curious about the way how you input MIDI into volca. Is the signal from audio interface or any sequencer?
That was mesmerizing! Could you do the theme tune from my all time favorite movie Blade Runner? 😍 It sounds like you have most of the samples from that song available in this setup. 😎
Would you say a Neutron can achieve similar results? Thinking about to pair a Neutron with a Model D and the upcoming Cave to dive into this kind of music :)
I have never touched the Neutron but my impression is that you can generate a lot of different and unique sounds with it. I would recommend adding a FM synth like the Volca FM or the free Dexed vst to your setup because it's fantastic for pads (with reverb) and you can actually get some analog sounding patches with it as well.
@@RemixSample Thx for your answer :) Yea I already have a Push2+Make Noise 0Coast+SQ1 Sequencer+Model D which I love for Berlin School type Arps but after some demos I also want to use it more for deep Ambientsounds ^^ Then I thought about getting Neutron+Crave in the near future since they are affordable and sounded great, I heard already great things about the Dexed too and will try it then but never got into crossmodulating digital and analog synthesizers which would be wonderful of course :) Keep the great work going, you're really inspiring :P
Hi! Yes you can. You can download a free vst synth called Dexed which sounds identical to the Volca FM. asb2m10.github.io/dexed/ and if you use the same reverb effect as I use, Valhalla Shimmer it will sound very similar. Fantastic.... beautiful. I would LOVE to learn how to do this. I am using reaper daw and have a mininova and a nice midi controller keyboard using free synths. I love dexed as well. Using tyrrell but I cannot seem to get this kind of sound. Very very cool. Keep it up man you are doing it right ;)
@@RemixSample Thank you for your input. I am actually just heading out right now to buy a Korg Volka keys from a guy off offer up LOL. Hopefully I can get it going similarly. Been playing with pauls music stretcher as well. Very cool... I may buy that Valhalla Shimmer reverb it sounds amazing...

I wanna add Valhalla Shimmer to my life, just to make it better.
ask paul, he'll help you. mr. paulstretch.
Valhalla on the master and call it a day
Props to you for actually using the touch keyboard! Everyone else is like "fuck that", and I'm that one weird guy going "hey! I like it!".
Extraordinary texture. Beautiful... it is like watching a movie without the movie.

Hell yes. 2049 might be my favourite soundtrack of all time, along with the Vangelis original
Also might be the best film of the decade. Can’t wait for Dune next year!!

This is great.
I just recently bought a Korg FM and would love to learn how to play like you do! Awesome video!
ya right!? Same. My brother plays percussion. He would love to learn how to play this!!!...🎹🎵
This is great as always; looking forward to a jungle/tropical ambiance type sound! (If you haven’t already done that) 💯
Thanks! Hmm no I don't think I have. Gonna have to find some of those sounds somewhere first. I'll add it to my to do list. :'o
ethereal, love it
How lovely is this.. Excelente sound skulpting man!! Your FM style its awesome
One of your best pieces - I listen to this one a lot.
Happy to hear that! Thanks! :D
Well that’s pretty, bloody beautiful!
Perfect sunday morning hangover aid.
Love this one, still coming back to it! What was the background drone made from before being stretched out? Such a rich sound.
I don't remember exactly but probably one choir patch from Omnisphere and a bass and chord from The Legend Vst.
Stunning! I could listen to this day after day.
Please do! Thank you!
Chills, everywhere.
really deep, lovely stuff... wow. bravo!!

This sounds so "Blade Runner"
or that scene in the movie "Bloodsport" during the last fight in the Kumite when Chong threw the dust in Frank's face
I can't stop imagine Rutger Hauer on a Dx7.

What're you using to create such lovely light aesthetics?
LEDS or blue lamps?
I use two FADO lamps from IKEA. One regular lightbulb and one RGB led bulb.
