A Red 550, a White T shirt, A Black Leather Jacket AND Jodie Kidd..... What a sight that must have been to see....... And Just a little tear of memory between the Smiles...... So happy for you Jodie....... :-))) xxxx
Loved that. In so many ways I think the mid to late 90's was a golden age for Ferrari. What with the 550 Maranello and of course, what was and is still one of the prettiest looking cars ever made, the 355, not to mention you still could get that beautiful manual gearbox. Jodie, at least you now have a second chance to own a 550 and to keep it in your garage this time 😉
Congrats into getting back into a Maranello. I've got a 575M and, like you, I think it's one of the best looking cars in the Ferrari oeuvre. So many design cues from the past classic front engined cars. Drive it like there's no tomorrow. 😅
Saw one of these up close for the first time a couple of months ago. It doesn’t come across on film just how low & wide they are, those rear haunches are even more spectacular in the metal!
Greetings from Cyprus Jodie! In September 2009 I was driving past a dealership here in Limassol and spotted a 2003 metallic silver grey Maserati 4.2 Cambiocorsa Spyder with a tan leather interior. I immediately fell in love with her and bought her. On the day I took delivery, the dealer handed me a copy of Auto Italia magazine from 2003 and said he'd found it in the car. On the cover was a picture of the car with you driving and the headline, "Maserati Spyder...A Fashion Statement." So I was very happy to find that she had previously belonged to you! I owned and cared for her from then until March 2020 when I sold her to buy a new 992. I really miss the sound of that V8 and if I could have afforded to keep both I certainly would have. I miss her terribly!
You picked my dream car! The one I saw in 1990 in Atlanta has been my dream Ferrari since! It was a burgundy color with a tan or camel interior. The 550 Maranello is an executive's "driver on nice days" Gran Turismo sports car. It's the perfect GT Luxury sports car.
I've just seen Jodie's actual 550 WSR for sale for £149k. Just as she describes it in this video. Track ready with its roll-bars, harness and racing seats. The most beautiful Ferrari interior I've ever seen. This is obviously a stunning car, but Jodie's original 550 WSR is on another level.
If you put the Ferrari badge on a donkey it would sprint like a horse. I’ve worked on a few of these over the years and they are a pretty bomb proof everyday drive. Congratulations on a great addition to your collection….🎉
Congratulations on getting such a special car. Pininfarina created many masterpieces and this is surely among them. Front engine V-12? I guess I need to read up on this model as that seems unusual for Ferrari. She is a beauty, and a beast. Driving a Ferrari is a bucket list item for me. Regardless, I hope you drive that piece of art fast and hard. Thank you as always for your content, you are delightful.
🌹Jodie🌹--the way you were saying hello to this ferrari Was soooo adorable!! A gorgeous supermodel saying hello to a lost now found again ferrari friend just struck me to the core of my car enthusiast ❤heart❤!!!!
Good choice Jodie (except the colour! Come on! the 550 is an elegant classy traditional GT car that should be in anything BUT red) I drove one for 11 years and did over 120,000 miles in it and apart from a couple of intrinsic weaknesses (like the inevitable power steering rack failure which can be fixed for fix for £400 rather than £4000 in Bristol and the windscreen rain drain tubes that will cost £7,000 unless you keep them clear because water drops straight down on the ECUs ) it was absolutely every day reliable despite the fact I hit the rev limiter every time I took it out so I certainly never nursed it. In fact I drove it all over Europe and probably did more off-road driving down country dirt roads in Italy etc than any Range Rover driver ever has. In Germany I pinned it everyday at an indicated 200 MPH (really 184 MPH on the GPS, sorry Ferrari) I even went air-borne at well over 110 MPH and landed so hard it popped the shock activators off the front shocks and cut the engine via the emergency inertia switch because it thought we had crashed! Anyway, I have plenty of inside knowledge on long term reliability so if you need any help just ping me.
Gorgeous, esp. since its manual. Plus who cares about RHD numbers, those are just to appease the tiny number of RHD countries. Also,, the car was invented in Germany, it should only have had Left Hand Drive. Please do not feel bad for selling, its part of life and you can appreciate this more for getting it back. I am just glad, you are driving it instead of keeping it hidden in a garage for investment.
Congratulation Jodie, that's a very fine car! Classic combination of colours and especially the manual gearbox. Have lots of fun with your new Italian beauty.
Hi Jodie just a note to say thank you so much for your videos, I enjoy them all. I've seen you in a Daytona so I'm at peace with myself & god can take me anytime he wishes sending ❤️and 🙏 xxx
Have you seen what RML Group company does to 550s? For a 'substancial' amount on money, they can turn your Maranello into a restomodded-style 250 SWB and they really are beautiful things. All the style and character of the 1950s road-racer with all the performance and comfort of a much more modern super-GT!
The Ferrari 550 Maranello was originally sold in Australia. So that fact was incorrect. They are often imported from UK because of the price difference (even after import duties and shipping). Australian delivered cars are more desirable in our country, as our roads have significantly less salt on them due to the weather conditions, and thus are less prone to corrosion.
I must confess, I lost interest in Ferrari post Fioravanti. Bar 2 models: the impossibly brilliant - and expensive - F50. And the simple yet exquisite 550. You summed it up in your first words: "It's perfect!" Your taste is a gift to all Jodie.. Thank you.
have to say that having owned two back in the day, i might be slightly bias, but i believe they are one of the very best v12 ferraris ever produced yes, todays ones might be faster with higher top speed and more expensive leather in them, blah blah blah, but the 550 had a soul, a feeling that was there for the owner to discover, and once found there was a special bond with it lovely cars, truly classic and other than the unobtainable ones, the best to own and drive.
@annother3350 You've obviously missed previous videos. it's not her car, she's bought a share in it. An old friend of hers and her friend's partner have setup a car investment company. Where 100s of people buy a share in a car, in the hope that when sold they make a profit. The cars are not driven other than maintenance milage by the company owners. They aren't cars as such but rather assets that are kept untouched and virtually undriven in order to maintain their value for the investors. She didn't mention it this time because in the comments of the first video many people disapproved of the business model, as it takes cars that should be driven off the road and placed in garages as investments.
@@mattstanbridge The majority if not all investable classic cars are stored away and owned by the uber wealthy. Just look at all the other youtube content with influencers getting personal VIP invites to go and view collections of classics, supercars and hyper cars. To the majority of people these cars or 'assets' are highly unobtainable. With TheCarCrowd it is made far more accessible with shares from just a few hundred pounds. The cars are open to all investors, taken to multiple shows and events, bringing them out into the light and not stuck in underground garages. That gives far more people a chance to come and see the cars, interact with them and appreciate them. It might not be for everyone but I think its better to invest in a real asset, something you know and are passionate about rather than trusting a group of execs in a FTSE100 company to make you a return.
It's a great way for the owner of the company and his friends to drive lots of cool cars without paying for the car or the insurance or the servicing. And they will even drive them to a few shows so the plebs sorry 'investors' can view them from a distance - after paying even more money for a ticket, parking, fuel etc.
This is my favourite V12 Ferrari of all time. I'd have this colour with a manual and tan coloured interior. I have to say, I love your biker leather jacket with those tassels. Can you kindly tell me the brand please?
550 was my first F car too. (I have 53k mi on mine) Thought you were badass since I met you in 2003 Gumball when you shared the Red dodge Viper with Tony Hawk.
Lovely car - my introduction to it was via the FIA GT championship with cars being campaigned by Prodrive (IIRC) and Ive loved the shape ever since. I also had a jacket just like the one you're wearing, but we wont go into that...
I had a model of one as a child and someone near where I grew up had one in some sort of grigio; the 550 Maranello is my dream car. I’m very pleased for you, though somewhat jealous!
It would be very nice to know your car owning history from a to z! Pretty sure you’ve had nice cars and I wonder what is now on your driveway) Ps: by the way, huge thanks for just a great content!
Jodie really gets cars, and I love the way she talks to them, as do I. Jodie is the real deal petrolhead.
One the best looking ferraris ever produced
head lights too big compared to rear lights but apart from that .. beautiful car.
A real "Driver's Car". We all have vehicles that we regret selling. I can see how emotional you are. Have fun driving that magnificent Ferrari! 😊👍
A Red 550, a White T shirt, A Black Leather Jacket AND Jodie Kidd..... What a sight that must have been to see....... And Just a little tear of memory between the Smiles...... So happy for you Jodie....... :-))) xxxx

Congratulations, alongside the 355 it was the Ferrari I would see growing up in London. An eternally elegant Ferrari GT.
She’s not bought it. It’s a lame sharing basis company. Owned by her friends. Lame.
A clever buy, money well spent.
Congrats!!! It makes the SF90 et al look like a child's doodle. WELL DONE MS. KIDD!!
Ferrari 550 and 575 are some of the greatets GT cars ever made!
The 550 and 575 are the most beautiful modern Ferraris. Either or smile or no smile I’ll take both
Another cool car, that noise is addictive!.
Seeing you smile driving that is amazing Jodie. Looks like the luggage set is in the back.
Congratulations Jodie, happy for you!

Emotion personified, love your passion , see you at SCD hopefully x
Absolutely stunning. I had a picture of this framed sitting on my desk for many years as a kid. One of my all time favourites.
Another amazing video ... i felt the emotion & passion ... well done as always
Congratulations Jodie, well done - you deserve it!
Beautiful 550 - love this channel!

Love the 550!
I remembered you drove the manual 550 in Paddy McGuinness's Stars In Their Cars show. Still loving it.
This is great ! congrats , great choice
One of my favourite Ferrari. Love the looks 😎
Converted this like hell....had a 456 M in my hayday! Great vid x
So, a Lancia Delta Integrale and a 550 Maranello? This collection is looking very impressive already. You have good taste madam!
Hilarious that it made you speechless! But also a lovely moment on film 👌
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS WITH AMAZING DEALS
I was always a Testarossa rat but you made me wanna on of these now.....maybe 575 Panamerica with a stick.....
The 550 and 575 are the most beautiful modern Ferraris
Nice that one is definitely in good hands !
Nice choice ! Mine has the white seats .... bit cooler on a hot day!
Love the 550, that colour suits you. Love your leather jacket. May I ask what brand it is???
Beautiful and one of my favourite cars ever.🥰🥰😍😍 (although I'd have to go blue with the tan leather)
wise decision. might wana put sum good headers and aftermarket exhaust on it
If you want your original 550 Maranello back, you could post the reg number and someone could probably track it down for you??
I agree Jodie, The Maranello 550 is exuisite.
I drove a silver one the other day and I was so surprised how easy and well drivable it was
These are gaining in popularity more and more. Even more then 575. Great car and another lovely video.

Stunning! The car's awesome too. Congrats!
Great taste, beautiful car
I think miss kidd needs a a 2nd generation Dodge viper now with the classic blue with white stripes, another very pretty car
have to say that having owned two back in the day, i might be slightly bias, but i believe they are one of the very best v12 ferraris ever produced

Congrats 👌
As a 15 year 550 owner, I say well done. I’ve done 50k miles, let’s see you do more!
She can't use it. It's a an investment asset bought by a friend of hers for their company. She'll own a share of it, the same as you can.

Eu nu știu engleza dar se vede bucuri de pe chipul domnișoarei care știe să aprecieze o mașină superbă 💯💯💯
Good choice. What a great addition to the collection.
Front engined Ferraris are the best.
This is my favourite V12 Ferrari of all time. I'd have this colour with a manual and tan coloured interior. I have to say, I love your biker leather jacket with those tassels. Can you kindly tell me the brand please?
What an Arthur Daily
550 was my first F car too. (I have 53k mi on mine) Thought you were badass since I met you in 2003 Gumball when you shared the Red dodge Viper with Tony Hawk.
Jodie, Your old silver 550 is for sale, too. 150k
Super happy for you, think its a great choice the fact it was your first Ferrari notwithstanding. The 550 and the 456 are definitely underrated.
Lovely car - my introduction to it was via the FIA GT championship with cars being campaigned by Prodrive (IIRC) and Ive loved the shape ever since. I also had a jacket just like the one you're wearing, but we wont go into that...
You could compare notes Jay Emm, he's got a 550 as well!!!! 😊😊😊
Nice addition to your collection. I hope you 'l "drive" them and enjoy the sound and beauty of it...congratulations.
Congrats miss kidd. This Ferrari is designed for you. This super car will be your alter ego.Congrats ..take me for 3 laps to Imola.
Congratulations jodie, my all time favourite ferrari, A 550 maranello is a true beauty, in gunmetal grey with tan leather, what do you think 🤔
I had a model of one as a child and someone near where I grew up had one in some sort of grigio; the 550 Maranello is my dream car. I’m very pleased for you, though somewhat jealous!
Awesome Jodie, a manual 550 ❤❤❤
Beautiful. The cars not bad either. Predictable comment 😂😂😂😂😂😂
🍀All that beauty together🍀
Aaaahhh manual v12 from Maranello to say that's a good choice is a bit of an understatement
One Lucky Kidd
It would be very nice to know your car owning history from a to z! Pretty sure you’ve had nice cars and I wonder what is now on your driveway)
Ps: by the way, huge thanks for just a great content!
Thank you, for your pure joy 550 yay
Very apt to show this video today after yesterday's win for Ferrari at the Le Mans 24 hour race. Fabulous Jodie, thanks so much ❤
Really a art in your collection. Enjoy it and congratulations.
You look so right behind the wheel of the 550, Jodie...😊😊😊.. !!!
The 550 and the 575 are the same car?
Is it same engine as in the F50?
Purrs like a kitten. And the car seems nice too 😉
I wouldn't say the most beautiful...a Daytona is for more gorgeous...but they are certainly one of the best!!
