- Welcome back to KiaSS! Today I'm back in the insane Bugatti Chiron Super Sport with everyone's favourite test driver, Andy Wallace! After my last chat with him ended rather suddenly after he gave me the keys... we eventually managed to talk about Andy's history of going really, really fast.

Andy is one of those guys you could just sit and listen to all day
He really is!
It seems that the best drivers just have so many stories to tell 🙌🏻
💯
I could name all the cars on the road as a youngster always lived loved cars he got the break of a dream job
If you are in the right place and the right time is how much luck you have in life
Ok you work hard no doubt about that , but its still being around at the right time and places and people
The story’s he can tell and the way he tells them are like so many famous people who made it in motorsport and also never sound arrogant. It’s a total joy to listen to 🚗🚗🚗😊
You need to get out and get some fresh air
So happy to hear more from Andy! He's a true treasure with so much to share and teach! It's a privilege to ride along with him (and you!) in this extraordinary car...thank you!😊
Couldn't agree more!
Le Mans 88 with Andy’s win in the XJR9 was just my 2nd visit to the 24H, but that win changed my life!
Over 35 years later, I’ve been to every 24H bar 3 since and bought a property opposite the Hotel de France, so Le Mans is now my home. Thanks for the inspiration Andy 👍❤️🙏
Cool story 👍 living the dream
This episode definitely goes into my 'Best of KiaSS' list...Andy comes across as such an unassuming man, but clearly a dedicated and true professional.
This was by far the best car interview I've ever watched. You made us feel like we were in the car with you. Fantastic! You've got a subscriber for life.
What a dream come thrue for Andy Wallace working for Jaguar, McLaren and Bugatti !! Bugatti and Michelin made the machine doing it's thing on that test road in Germany going well thank God ! Great interview by Kidd in a Sweet Shop!
Andy is brilliant, just love him. His knowledge about this side of the automotive world is second to none, and also not obnoxious and seems to be thankfully humble, also what a pleasure it is to have cars like this.
What a brilliant man Andy Wallace is! I remember him winning the F3 championship in '86 before his sportscar career. Always a racer! Many thanks for this wonderful video Jodie ❤
What an interesting guy and incredible career. Not the only Wallace to be a test driver, the late great Bob Wallace was responsible for testing and developing some serious machinery at Lamborghini!
Andy is a wonderful guy, I met him when he was driving for the Panoz team in the American LeMans Series.
What a world we live in, to get to see people do things like this with a car. Even having the road to do it on with reasonable safety is amazing by itself. Really nice to get to hear the story first hand from Andy.
What an unassuming gentleman Andy is! Great interview Jodie! ❤️
What a top guy, you relaxed him and pulled off a great interview. Stay safe.
Fantastic interview Jodie! Doing the fastest interview in the world with the fastest man in the world, brilliant!
You just want to listen to the stories Andy Wallace has got to tell, he's such a good story teller with the intricate details! And Jodie being such a good conveyer of those great stories!!
Can't wait to see what Andy does next with Bugatti-Rimac!!
How can you not love Andy Wallace! What a gem!
Working for @classicdriver, I've been honoured to experience 0-328km/h with Andy in the Chiron Super Sports at last year's Passione Engadina, as well as completing a 270km rally of The Alps chasing him driving a Type 35 while in a Type 51. Andy is one of the most welcoming, comforting gentlemen I've ever had the privilege of meeting and having dinner with! This is a wonderful interview, you asked all of the questions I wish I had the time to!
What a wonderful setting to interview Andy Wallace being, above all, such a gentleman. His explanation of how the Bugatti's handling changes "above 285 miles per hour" blew me away.. Also Jodie, I loved watching - and listening - as you rocketed up to... speed! Amazing interview. Amazing car.
Never seen that man smile more than when he’s riding shotgun with you. You guys coulda been in a VW Beetle his grin would still be ear to ear. Thanks Sweets
Great interview as always Jodie ,what a great career Andy has had .
Goodness me! I can remember Captain Slow doing about 250mph-ish, and finding it "easy". But the next 50mph? The gyroscopic effect of the wheels overrides the suspension geometry? There's a +200kg of lift at the front? Exactly what you want - not! - when you're already doing 250mph and then the handling characteristics start getting strange.
Just goes to show; there's still the need for the human talent. It's not all just numbers and computers; some has to go and deal with "weird" when already operating in unknown territory. Andy Wallace (and his fellow drivers) are really quite something! And I the car too. The fact that it hadn't topped out at Vmax is also quite astonishing.
Thanks Jodie - that's one of the best, most revealing insights into his trade that I've heard, thank you for bringing it to us!
MIND BLOWING. What a guy, what an interview.
What an interesting piece of motoring history and the science behind the achievement. How cool to interview Andy while driving a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. Thanks Jodie.
Makes you really think and appreciate that Bugatti and Andy did that speed in a car that anyone (with the right budget) can buy. Also that is quiet, comfortable, and can be used as a daily driver. And to hear that the car still had more in it is kind of scary. 😂🤣🤣
Thankyou Jodie, great to hear Andy's backstory and the details of that epic record run. He's humble and easy to listen to. You did well to drive that Bugatti and interview as you did too.
I never even thought about the gyroscopic effect of the wheels and tires overcoming the suspension at those speeds. That is NUTS.
Fair play Jodie. Not sure I would be able to speak driving that Bugatti let alone conduct a well constructed interview at the same time ! The concentration on your face speaks volumes 😂👍
Wow, great to see passionate people doing what they love.
Great to hear more stories from this legend, great content once again Jodie 👏🏼👏🏼
What an honour to be able to drive the car that set the record.
Wonderful interview, with a fascinating chap, thanks again Jodie these videos are so much more interesting than all the stuff on regular TV .
I must say Jodi I do like how you drive while interviewing, you pay attention to the road. So many interviewers spend huge amounts of time looking away from the road and at the person being interviewed when the interviewer is THE DRIVER.
So fascinating to understand the process in getting this record. Many thanks Andy and Jodie.
Thanks, I've been waiting for this one! Great interview!
great interview and such a humble man .
What a great interview!! I was smiling while you were blasting down the road talking so calmly...
Great interview. Also, it’s been great watching the channel grow from a few thousand subs to over 100K in a relatively short time. You’re a great presence in the UA-cam motoring space, Jodie. Please keep it up!
Amazing interview. Great to hear the story of all that was involved in achieving that top speed record drive, emphasizing the all important warning, “don’t try this at home!”
Good stuff KIDD in a Sweet shop! What a gracious humble man , he has my utmost respect! Make it a great day, jw
A true gentleman could listen to him all day, another great video. Thanks
Hi Jodie
Another genuinely nice man and very humble with it , I think all of the people you’ve interviewed have been more or less the same , maybe you bring out the best in your interviewee’s which is a refreshing change from a lot of others I’ve seen interviewed elsewhere, good job by you , keep up the great videos ,
Regards Davy 🏴🇹🇭 Xxx
Awesome 👌🏻 really wanted to hear more from him in the last vid
What a cracking bloke. Great video Jodie, Ps love how you’ve done your eyes in this video ❤
The best car related interview in yt, imho
Legend 🙌🙌🙌🙌, what a absolutely fantastic interview 👍👍👍👍👍
"when the controls do something different to your expectation you're like "OK where am I, what's happening" ..unless you're completely braindead" haha 😄 Andy is awesome
Total gentleman and amazing driver. Great interview!
Another amazing interview Jodie ……300mph wow !! last time I was anywhere near that on tarmac I was a passenger and it took off literally 😂…more like this please Jodie 🙏🙏
Ms. Kidd, this…was…phenomenal!!! The insight, the description of the run, you guys put us in the passenger seat of one of the most historical speed runs of all times. Freaking awesome.Thank u.🙏🏽✌🏽
Fantastic interview. Please share some more
Super, super video Jodie...........what a lovely, humble and talented individual Andy comes across as. You seem to really bring out the best in people in your interviews, how special you are in what you have achieved, and are achieving. Many blessings, thanks and wishes, Andy-you are special too in all of your experiences and achievements........
This video saved my day🙏👌Please bring on more exclusive content like this 🙌
More to come!
Fascinating stuff! I loved hearing about those differences that occur above 250, and then 280 - Andy Wallace definitely has "The Right Stuff" to do that job.
Such a fantastic interview! Both, very privileged. And both, I could listen to for hours. Jodie, you should be on the telly doing more car stuff.
Love it 😍😍 jodie x great interview x
Just ta think that James May was once the world's fastest man 🤣 if only far a short time. What a legend, great vid Jodi 👏 ❤️
Brilliant interview !!!!
Thank you for sharing 👍🇦🇺
Glad you enjoyed it
Fabulous interview - as expected ! Mark.
haha your face jodie every time you accelerated brilliant!
Incredible, that was my moon landing moment. Always love your videos, you bring the best out of your relaxed guests. If you just drive in a straight line at over 300mph, surely they could have let you have a go.
Another great piece Jodie xx
Jodie what a great interview love your channel. 304 mph wow
I could listen to Andy talk all day and all night. Looks like you were both relaxed, Andy 'behind' the mike being interviewed, and you Jody behind the wheel just out for a "spin in the car", Cheers, Garry from DownUnder
Another brilliant piece from you. How do I say this without sounding redundant. I like going in deep when it comes to conversations and with this type of videos I think this channel just became my Favorite in the Car World.
Love listening to Andy Wallace!
Andy is a great guy, a very interesting interview. You handled the Bugatti very well Jodie, a great experience for you. ❤
Great interview!
Brilliant, could listen to him for hours, oh her too! Cheers Kidd
I saw you on tv earlier, my kids said “ daddy daddy it’s the lady from Kidd in a sweet shop who you always watch “ 😂
Comes across as a very down to earth man remember watching on board doing the top speed run in the McLaren F1 and now taken it over 300 in the Bugatti takes a lot of courage but well done another great episode Jodie
Brilliant video, Andy puts it in a fantastic way, to understand the effort behind his achievements. What an amazing car, that engine sounds phenomenonal. Just what what does it feel like when you floor the throttle Jodie ? 😊
Brilliant watch, Andy is an all time great 👍
Loved the interview was about Andy as much as the car was
A perfect video to avoid work on a Monday thank you Jodie 💕
Enjoy x
Great interview Jodie - and what an office......
A very interesting interview of a very interesting guy.
Thanks so much!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
A great interview, Jodie, with a top man about a road car whose combination of abilities and yet also drivability almost beggars belief (even its name makes it sound like some mythical entity)! There are a few things that I will take away from this. That which stands out most, however, and of which I had hardly even thought (despite having studied automotive engineering design) is.... the gyroscopic effect of the front wheels upon the steering from 280mph and upward! 😱
Nice one Jodie. Great KiddinaSweetshop Andy seems like nice chap. Great Interview. Also see if Bugatti let you go up Goodwood hill during The Festival of Speed (hope they let you) 🙂
That was fascinating interview! The car is nice too! 😉😀🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏👌
I remember James May on TopGear congratulating him, when he pushed the TopSpeed of the Veyron Supersports even more.
Fantastic interview, really interesting, and I drive dreaded motorbikes ( 51 years) , can’t sit in a car and drive , to enclosed. But my hat of to Andy and of course The Kid in a sweet shop. Brilliant 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
Amazing interview, with an amazing man, in an amazing car.
Girl in the (Sweet Spot) Very special interview and what a really nice man Andy seems to be. Cracking interview as normal thanks beautiful Jodie....😘☺💝
Fantastic video.
Great video Jodie & can't wait to see you have even more fun if you ever get behind the wheel of Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut.
Fingers crossed!
Brilliant Jodie ,Andy Wallace a life of speed
Exactly that!
Jodie Kidd can take your mind off a 300 mph car. Easily
What a fabulous interview and some fast driving whilst doing it 😎👌
one thing better than driving the bugati ,driving with jodie kidd
Andy we are very jealous of your dream automotive career. And yeah Andy and jodie were talking top speed of production supercars but
You can't ignore the fact that the silver Callaway corvette did 254mph at the transportation research center in marysville ohio in 1988! The xj220 was only a concept car in 1988.
Fantastic interview, the gyro effect over 280 mph sounds scary
Amazing amazing video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Listening to Andy while trying to consecrate on driving that beast must have been exciting 😆
Another great one hun x 300mph plus must be amazing. Fastest car I had was just over 200mph .
Its amazing the level of programming the brain needs-to complete to even process those speeds. What an amazing driver. And a wonderful brilliant person.
Nice to see you with your hair down and making an effort Kiddie . You look fabulous , much nicer than the car . Keep up the good work and the appearances darling .
I was at Mc`s when Andy was there, so met him a few times.... Nice Lad.... Amazing car and You are your normal Delightful self Jodie.... But those flowers on your scarf.... Are they "Perennials'"??? I hope the rest of your games go a little better...... Lots of Love :-)) xxxxx
Great to hear those Parking Sensors, l have them in my T6......I guess there's a little bit of Bugatti in all of us.😉
Respect from both sides Jodie . I am glad you mentioned the fastest road production car as Andy Green may have protested !!! ( 763.035mph ) Thanks Jodie
Mr Wallece have been cool when is in front of the camera, great video!
You got that right! Thanks for watching
Imagine if that track didn't have wildlife fencing, or something got in....293, 294, 295...DEER!
