Even the guy who said "I'm not 12" got banned lmao
😂
Lmaoo
Twitch be like: "You won't fool us."
I know right? 🤣🤣🤣 oh I'm crying...too funny.💀
"not being 12 doesn't mean over 13 so get lost"
"What's your level"
"I'm 12"
*BANNED*
lol
frankly, even including lvl as "i'm lvl 12" would be enough to get the bot to ban you, as lvl in relation to i'm 12 has no matter context on most (99%) bots^^
@@gampie13 yeh thats why in twitch im always scared of typing numbers below 13
@@beetle8209 Well, the solution is easy. Don't fucking use the magic keyword "I'm" :D Use "My" :D As in My level is 12 :D
“I’m surprised that game is only 12 years old” got me banned
Did you have to give a bot your ID or could you just type "read the message" in the email and get unbanned?
Honestly, by now I just think it's a scummy tactic to gather information on people.
Jeez. So it's literally just a bot looking for the words I'm and 12 in the same sentence and banning anyone with it
What I've learned is that I should never type the number 12 in a twitch chat message ever
I guess I can't say "I'm sure it's 12 o'clock"
@@blackstream2572what if you say I'm 11
That's the dumbest way of being banned I've ever seen.
There's literally a chat interpreter that checks if "Im" and "12" are in the same message by the looks of it, and Twitch thought nobody could end up causing people to get banned due to that.
Gotta give Twitch the trophy of naivety.
They don’t care, they want to demonstrate to regulators and legislators that they aren’t collecting information on under 13s because of COPPA and this is a way to do that. They probably agree that it’s dumb but it covers their ass for any legal action in that area.
You know, I work at a large IT company. And I was expecting professionalism, high quality and refined decision making. I was serevely disappointed.
So the idea that somebody thought "okey, so if anyone types "I'm 12" we bann them, because surely writing that down is proof of their real age." and this insane, lunatic, shark jumping brainfart got through all decision making, planning and then implementation should be in fact horrify and surprise me.
But it doesn't.
That's so dumb. So you could get banned for saying "I'm level 12 in hardcore wow" or something?
imagine someone asks you what level you are in wow classic hc and you type "i'm 12"
Extra dumb considering "I'm 12 and what is this" is a somewhat sizeable meme.
The most hilarious part for me was the guy who typed 'I'm not 12' got banned too LMAO.
what if you put

yes "WHAT AGE DO I NEED TO BE TO USE THIS FUCKING WEBSITE"
Twitch has more age restrictions than adult websites it seems.
And yet there's a whole category made mainly to jerk off.
Strange since twitch hub is full of p0rn and ran by p3d0s.
Well looking at how Twitch evolved so far that they put people being half naked or wearing clothes so tight they leave little to your imagination on their front page even IF you never clicked on these streams before no wonder... Also the back to back Vegas gamba ads don't help their case, even with a proper adblock 1-2 sometimes slips through rarely.
i do wonder why
@@Rhyhmxyea cos there was a girl who went stripped naked on twitch on LoL content like 4 years ago or so and several under ages kids saw it , the chat went crazy. The video is probably still on P-Hub

"wait a moment" killed me
Was even funnier. Masayoshis viewers also tried to bend it by seeing how close they could say im 12 without saying it exactly to see if they would get banned.
I need some brave soul to type "im not 12, im an adult" and see if they get banned
i mean one did in this clip and another commenter said they did in fact get banned
@@moritz4026i dont see anyone with "im an adult" in the clip.

Automated suspension and ban systems always work absolutely perfectly.
This is where governments need to legislate against stupid bannings.

Why would they? Being terrible is kind of their shtick.

Twitch is probably the same way.. if they find out you used it when you were under 13, ban
@@gizkadasha3989 I made a joke about being 12 like 3-4 years ago on twitch, my account is from 2013 so it's almost 10 years old, I'm actually going to submit another ticket (they didnt unban because i dont want to send my ID to some random support staff over an email) once it's actually 12 to see if they can unban. Keep in mind i would have to be at least 8 years old and have had to make my account when i was 4 if twitch was actually right on the ban anyways... which is still hilarious that i could be addicted to watching livestreams at the age of 4 according to them
It spread to Asmond's chat like a plague.

i like how even while watching this, asmons chat starts spamming im 12
twitch chat really is a specific breed of internet
The best part is watching people typing it live in asmons chat
an evil mastermind; I love it
I work in moderation, we have bots that autoflag specific phrases. Usually they also get reviewed by a person but some sites will just autoban once the bot flags it and wait for the user to solve it themselves. Normally context gets pulled in and would make it clear this wasn't actual 12 year olds but the bots do not know what context is so here we are lol.
We're not here because bots are stupid, we're here because the people that make decisions at Twitch are stupid.
Yeah no shit. Don’t need to work in moderation to figure that lol.
@@SuperYtc1 such a meanie
maybe you moderators should get a real job where you actually do work instead of writing lazy and cheap short cuts that make your already easy job even easier? Outside of keeping things like CP and doxing out of chat you serve no real purpose but to power trip and ruin potential customers time. I love this editors... they deserved MORE MONEY!
Yes they did, too late now
It's even funnier considering "I'm 12 and what is this" is a classic meme from the early days of ebaumsworld, digg, ytmnd, etc.
Saying this got me banned within minutes.... 😊
Stuff like that has been a problem since the U.S. government effectively banned anyone under 13 from the Internet.
So if you write "I'm 12 minutes into this stream and already loving it" you get banned?
Yup
Yes. The number doesn't even need to be attached to the "I'm", it just needs to be anywhere in the message. Not even the same sentence as it seems.
Not knowing this, I once typed "look at me im 12 and im edgy" and i got banned. took 1 week to get it unbanned
- So what level are you in wow hardcore ??
- I'm 12
gets banned
The Ending though 🤣👏
Editors are well cultured, using Everywhere At The End Of Time at the end there
"wait, how many are banned?"
*crickets*
There's a sort of phenomenon, a law of Twitch if you will; that if the streamer ever points out to chat that mentioning that you're under the age of the TOS, *even as a joke* gets you autobanned like this, that there will always, without exception, be at least one person who immediately does so.
The funny thing is thinking there might be some that are under the age and now have to ask their parents to send a copy of an ID to Twitch.
It hit me so hard to hear part of Everywhere At The End Of Time at the end of the video, because right now I'm listening to it for the first time.
Die for me! Die for the one true king!
"You needed proof?"
No.
Imagine saying something like "been playing the game for 12 hours now, I'm happy." insta-ban by the system, lol.
I don’t think that would get you banned.
@@Zabzim Sadly, it would. The bot is stupid, only checks for two keywords and completely voids the rest. You have to choose your words wisely.
@@CZghost this is why you need amazon prime.
next what you need to do is get like 300 people to constantly go into chat say "im 12" get banned request unbanning. and constantly do it over and over to see response. eventually twitch will make your account exempt from the rule or remove it.
or they would not give a fuck and you will stay ban
unban request response is also automated. you send in your id which is checked by an other bot, if you pass you pass if you don't don't. twitch team doesn't even lift a finger no matter how many people get banned for this. and now they have a bunch of id's saved in their system that can get potentially get leaked during a security breach
@@yyakaemun Just photoshop a fake ID. Its not like they are gonna vigorously check them over.
Or more than likley, twitch will permaban those 300 annoying sh*theads and make them "exempt" from unban requests. There are legal reasons why twitch doesn't allow people of a certain age to have accounts on their platform, why would they risk potential legal ramifications just to satisfy a fraction of a percentage of their user base who want to spam dumb shit in chat.
@yyakaemun didn't know that but there would be reports for it that are reviewed. Eventually, someone would have to say something in some meeting.
Happened to me years ago. Glad more people know of it now lol
this will demand an internet historia video on the great "i am a dozen" massacre...
the moment i saw people type the thing in asmon's chat I knew what was coming for them.
This LITERALLY just happened to me nearly a month ago because I quoted Carlos from the Benchwarmers, "I am 12." Twitch has yet to give me my account back. I've even had to send them a picture of my Driver's License. Totally fine for the Only Fans Streamers to show their boobs though.
The U.S. has no law against showing your boobs on the Internet. It does have a law against allowing children under 13 to have accounts on web sites (because that requires storing at least some personal information about them). As I recall, the fine is $50K per user if the site isn't perceived to be "doing enough" to keep children out.
Imagine someone finding a way to bruteforce cookies to then send a single message with any account it is able to session hijack saying "im 12" that would be funny... all the accounts that would get banned... i will definitely not tell kick about this to take out their competition.
How obvious does a trap have to be before we avoid it XD
So they saw it bans them, and immediately proceed to type it. I am sure these are the same people that argue with him all the time about his intelligence.
I'm fucking dying laughing omg this is amazing
also i've been seeing more and more videos on YT being censored like crazy, is this how it's gonna be from now on? Is monetization really getting turned off when people use the F word?
“I am of 12 orbits of the sun. “
hmmm . how can i do the last visual effect on the video . the darkening one .
"You needed proof?"
FUCKIN GOLD!
Fully support this. Word bans are bad.
Oh no, I would have fallen for this...
I got banned.. and I wrote " Im 12 dollars away from a sack"
I typed on twitch that I wasn't even born yet and still in the womb and I got banned lmfao. I sent them my ID and they denied me access to my old account. I asked them if they seriously believe that I was a 6 month old baby typing on a keyboard in my moms uterus and they replied with, "It's possible, we can't take any chances."
There ain't no way 😂
they don't get paid enough to play mind games with people.
Twitch admins don't believe a fetus is a human until after 9 months
I mean, theoretically they're right. *Logically* you can't possibly be 6 months old, but if you *were* underage and you *had* openly revealed it and they *didn't* do anything about it, they would be on the hook for a heavy lawsuit, and their liability would be clear ("Well, I didn't think they were serious" is not a legal defense). It's quite honestly just safer for them to ban you than risk even the tiniest chance of it biting them in the ass. Besides, if you're willing to make that kind of joke, when their rules about that sort of thing are fairly clear, what else might you be willing to say?
They denied my first appeal too after I sent them ID. But I just recently disputed it again, and I got my acc back. Just gotta appeal again if you really care about your acc (I didnt, I just wanted my acc back just because, even though I won't even use it cuz I use my other acc which is a lot older)
And twitch wonders why they get competition
I wish
America's COPPA law. Tl;dr: 12yo are not allowed on the internet in america. Other sites have to abide that law if they want to compete (in america).
