Kudos to the police department, detectives , and specialists. This investigation was so well done above and beyond anything I've watched before. They've got this case wrapped up. Impressive for sure!
I really love this judge. His voice, demeanor, etc. The fact that he selflessly gave up celebrating Christmas with his family over the weekend, to keep himself and everyone in that courtroom safe, just shows you how important justice is to him and that he is conscious of the fact that any delay in this trial would cost taxpayers even more than it already has. We need more judges like him!

This video with "The Flickering Fireplace Window" is mesmerizing. The purity of the investigation using science, mathematics and the detective's experience and meticulous attention to detail is A+ detective work. Serendipity, not just evil, put Chandler exactly where he belongs forever. Who knew that a random distant neighbour "across the pond" would install a security camera that would coincidentally pick up the incineration of a son's parents' bodies, and the stranger neighbor would make the connection to the murder contacting police. (See above timeline of burning)
And don’t forget that there were two different retired police detectives who happened to conveniently live across the street of where the victims and murderer lived. What are the odds of that? Especially the one ex detective who knew to record his conversation with chandler and the other retired detective who was sitting outside in the evening and smelled the grotesque flesh burning smell that was coming from the defendants fireplace across the street. The neighbor recognizes the foul stench odor and reported it to police. It was odd that there was a fire burning in his neighbors fireplace especially since it was a very hot July summer night.

Scott Kuntz needs more recognition in regard to his intellect, knowledge, presentation, and intuitive nature in how he answers questions asked. Hands down one of, if not the most impressive witness in this trial brought to stand.
Even if you think about the Darrell Brooks case, the prosecution was serious and hard-working, painstakingly going through witnesses and evidence. The prosecution really curated what was shown to the jury, in what order, when... not like Darrell Brooks self-representing, who called one of his victims to the stand, subpoenaed by DB himself, legal mastermind. But if you think about everything that went down in that trial, there were moments on which the prosecution even helped the running of the trial, e.g. issuing Brooks' subpoenas in lieu of DBrooks, proposing a plan so that he could give out his "closing argument", etc... So maybe it's Wisconsin, they always do things right.

If you look at what they found in the house hidden, I believe he was planning on killing his parents and brother. A get wellbullet? His dad confronting him threw everything out of whack. This is the type of self entitled generation that is being raised and catered to… It’s maddening and beyond pathetic. Unfortunately, this happening more and more frequently. My heart screams for the friends and family of the people who were taken away from them so viciously. His brother seems very well rounded… I’d love to hear more from him, but it’s completely understandable. If he chooses to maintain his privacy, then I just hope it will be respected-as it should be. It’s hard, pretty much impossible, for anyone to imagine what he is going through. @@tacwerm I agree. I’ve been wondering if his brother had intentions on ending his life as well!?! How many siblings give their family a bullet that say’s “Get well” on it!?! My heart hurts for this family
Well the case is very difficult to defend. All the evidences are valid for his conviction. He also wasted the time of many people in this case by pleading not guilty.
They're public defenders, it's the only defense he can afford. Much as I hate the "you get as much justice as your money can buy" situation in the US, it does make me giggle each time they say "No thank you" or ask a random seemingly-pointless question.
Jose Baez might have made a decision harder. He got Casey Anthony and Aaron Hernandez off. OJ got off. Money can buy you the best defense attorneys out there.
Can you imagine the smell in the house if the neighbors said it was pungent and this lying murderer roasting his parents head. Keeping the home fires going. His ex must be mortified knowing now what that “Smokey” smell really was and she slept in the same room with it.
@@chiloveradiouncut Did you not listen? The officer across the street said it smelled like pork shoulder. The only reason he knew the exact smell is because he was a cop.
In his subsequent hearings, he’s had defence counsel, strapped to the wheelchair so he’s less aggressive and is not speaking so things go smoother. As well, they’ve been male Judges. He has no respect for women and showed it in spades with Judge Darrow.
He really thought he could just make his parents disappear in the fireplace and that if he removed evidence of their identity (faces, hands) that he wouldn’t be found out. Jesus H Christ, people suck. This home and life they built, to be murdered and dismembered in that very home. WHERE IS THE DEATH PENALTY IF NOT FOR THIS?
Chandler was unbelievably selfish in what he did. Not only did he hurt so many people with his murderous act but the resources that had to be used and the lands ruined, was enormous. This was a huge cost to people’s hearts and the state of Wisconsin. To leave body parts and saws, involving his girlfriend’s family was enormously disgusting and selfish.
So true, & not to tell officials where the rest of his mom & dads body are is despicable. Family should be able to put these good ppl to rest properly & not spread across WI .
He should have received the death penalty for his crimes. Wisconsin is far too soft on its most horrific killers. So this monster gets to live a life of luxury behind bars whilst his parents were butchered and reduced to ashes? Makes no sense to me.
There was life insurance on the parents which may have been a motive. The brother Mitchell stated during his trial testimony that each brother would have received $1million. Just a guess as to a possible motive.
Entitled little brat. Not sure if money was the motivating factor but it definitely would seem worth it to him. A “boy” that never grew up. I’m not sure the parents are to blame for the enabling but he def. was a lazy and pathological liar for his entire life.
Is crazy isn't it?! One of my younger sisters best friend in high school had her parents murdered. Well the mom ended up surviving, with like 26 stab wounds. Yale Michigan, Tia something. Her case is nuts. Everyone loved her parents. Everyone. They were teachers there and my sister so isn't the same. She had no idea as Tia only did this with the bf and the kid they tricked into it. Crazy story if you look it up. I think her last name starts with S. It's been a while, and my sister pretty much lost contact now. She's gone through so much since that. All because they didn't want her dating the guy she was with, bad influence.... which they were obviously right.
this is amazing... who woulda thunk that a remote camera caught this kflickering fireplace through a window.....i'm impressed.....this cop is so smart.....
What could chandler possibly be writing? I’m still in shock how u could do this to ur parents. All this for the lies HE told. Parents did nothing wrong. He now has no family no girlfriend no more gaming Nd no more nice house to live in. No more dogs. BUT he now doesn’t need to get a job. Oh and NO MORE FREEDOM Sick puppy.
I think maybe his first plan was to just burn them, but the dismembering/cleaning part took longer than he calculated, then the burning of the body parts also didn't go as swiftly as he planned out in his head leading him to toss whatever was leftover and doing it very sloppy.
Fargo was a fantastical parody. This is real life where two humans were murdered and butchered by their own son. What went wrong? For the parents - not being alert to the deterioration in their son’s mental state. For the perpetrator, not turning his angry inwards and instead, striking out against the parentals.
My 2nd cousin is in that movie 🎬... she plays Jean Lundegard (the car salesman's wife)...she ends up kidnapp€d; she's in a few short scenes. The funny part is that even though she grew up in Fargo, ND she had to take voice training lessons to further push her accent.
Probably he was doing a bunch of things at the same time. So he left the fire going, kept on cleaning or dismembering, went back to put another piece in the fireplace after noticing the fire was almost out... That's why the fire is appearing and disappearing...
You could see his silhouette moving infront of the fire and now knowing he was burning the heads of his parents at that time is sick. He was cutting them up and processing them for disposal. Using saws, Knives, Scissors etc to do that evil job. He was busy.
This Judge is an absolute well mannered, kind hearted professional, would love to work for him ❤️ on another note I’m still in shock that Chandler would send his brother a bullet as a get well message, wondering if he was planning to murder his brother, girlfriend, her mother and her girlfriend also ? 😫😖😢 this is so traumatic. how did he sleep at night after killing them, chopping them to pieces and burning body parts! Leaving all the evidence laying around what did he think that he would get away with all this sloppy work, would love to know what’s going through his head, great case ! I didn’t sleep for days following this trial RIP Mr & Mrs Halderson 🙏🏼❤️🕊🕊May your sole rest now 🙏🏼 just want to know why did Chandler do this for Money and greed ? 🤦🏼♀️😞

Yeah he was like wow. He also explained it so well that everyone could understand. When he first started I was this is going to go over everyone's heads. He basically put the cherry on top. Sorry best reference I could think of.
The video expert was amazing but my brain hurts!! I was more confused at what he was saying than anything I hope the jurors are able to follow this all... There is no way they will put him on the stand... hes lied way too much to think anyone will believe anything he says.. he screwed up if he thinks hes gonna get away with this.. Im curious on what his defense will be though...
It is fascinating to me that this arson investigator claims to “love to grill” while still associating the smell of bbq pork with that of burned human remains. I’m fairly certain that, if that were the case with me, my professional experience would result in a strict raw vegan diet.
Meat cooking will smell similar. It makes sense. Definitely gross. I have a hard enough time eating meat myself. Finding this out in first hand experience would completely do me in.

How could she not know that the smell wasn't "right"?
@@chiloveradiouncut Did you not listen? The officer across the street said it smelled like pork shoulder. The only reason he knew the exact smell is because he was a cop.
@@chiloveradiouncutI mean the smell must have lingered inside...omg
@@jamesplymire5342He said that it then started to smell rancid after awhile.
The Judge is great. Such a kind man. And I agree about the guy writing..... um...
3.21 defence asking if the gunshots were self inflicted? In the back? Ffs!
This guy is sitting there writing a note like he DIDNT chop up his parents!! What the heck!? Why didn't this guy plead guilty? My God!
Wtf is he writing down?
1. Get new parents
2. Have them take care of me
3. Make sure they have a fireplace
Moral of the story. Don’t kill your parents; you won’t get away with it and it is very ungrateful.
Would be very interesting to see how this judge would have handled Darrel Brooks!
🤣🤣
Yes!! I've wondered that also!
In his subsequent hearings, he’s had defence counsel, strapped to the wheelchair so he’s less aggressive and is not speaking so things go smoother. As well, they’ve been male Judges. He has no respect for women and showed it in spades with Judge Darrow.
What a beautiful "pond." An additional crime, spoiling that experience for the neighbourhood with this grisly tale.
If you're coming here from the Channel 3000 feed to see the first few minutes of the post-lunch testimony, go to 2:31:50
😊🆒👍🇧🇷
Thank you 🙏
Thank you for providing this vid! Y'all are the best!!
No death penalty in Wisconsin. Too bad too, because Darrell Brooks deserves it too.
The video of the fire flickering is so eerie.. It makes me feel sick to see that and know what he was doing.. Gosh his poor parents!!
This man is a hero! The knowledge, the confidence, the delivery, all of it! I could not stop listening! You, sir, are my hero!
Duh ?
He is a sociopathic, entitled narcissist. He cares nothing for anyone/anything but himself.
@angelwings7930 Duh not necessary .
so tired of hearing the defense attorney vigorously typing on her macbook lmao
Chaz's eyes look as if he's remembering his actions when they mention details of dismemberment.
He did it...GUILTY! The question is WHY...because he didn’t want to work? I don’t get it! 🥺😢😓😥
Yes I do remember his brother saying that BUT to chop up your parents? 😩😢😭
All about the money 💰
this is amazing... who woulda thunk that a remote camera caught this kflickering fireplace through a window.....i'm impressed.....this cop is so smart.....
Love the judges bow-tie. 🎀
Ps: the Defendant is guilty AF
Awesome job judge and the rest of them all.. 👏
Horrific. The poor neighbor!!! My GAWD WHAT A DEMON ON EARTH …. Sick demented inhuman devil
Love love this judge! What a Gentleman!!
And.. the worm has to hide behind the lawyer's. I can't believe more people besides his Dad hadn't caught on to this lazy scum bag.
He's probably writing lies

it´s crazy how quick the pictures of the body parts got posted online.
that he can just sit there like how he´s doing is just crazy.
Found em after this post… thanks. 😳😬
How awful to think whilst quietly cleaning radishes that far from his neighbours having a party and a hog roast it was actually their bodies burning.
What is going on in Wisconsin? So much craziness there in the past few years.
This guy having a 25 page curriculum vitae is making me feel like such a FAILURE in life 😳😅😅
This is the best Judge ever!
Ugh seeing the video of him lighting his parents on fire is so chilling.
Reading the live chat is like sitting in the peanut gallery of an elementary school.
Save some IQ points and don’t even turn on the Chat. It’s usually a hot mess of nonsense with zero value.
I think maybe his first plan was to just burn them, but the dismembering/cleaning part took longer than he calculated, then the burning of the body parts also didn't go as swiftly as he planned out in his head leading him to toss whatever was leftover and doing it very sloppy.
Everything he did was a fumbled mess. He is not a good criminal that's for sure.
@@Erica-vq7bq He's going to be a mark in prison. They will likely segregate him.
@giovanna8187 They're gonna have to. He's crime and he's " fresh meat".
'Potentially suspicious' lol. I would bet that someone didn't cut off their own limbs and head.
Chandler is like one of those characters from Fargo, those criminals that everything goes against them once they commit the crime
Lol ikr. You wrong for that..
Fargo was a fantastical parody. This is real life where two humans were murdered and butchered by their own son. What went wrong? For the parents - not being alert to the deterioration in their son’s mental state. For the perpetrator, not turning his angry inwards and instead, striking out against the parentals.
I love that movie
@@gennyzelis2303 😆
My 2nd cousin is in that movie 🎬... she plays Jean Lundegard (the car salesman's wife)...she ends up kidnapp€d; she's in a few short scenes. The funny part is that even though she grew up in Fargo, ND she had to take voice training lessons to further push her accent.
Probably he was doing a bunch of things at the same time. So he left the fire going, kept on cleaning or dismembering, went back to put another piece in the fireplace after noticing the fire was almost out... That's why the fire is appearing and disappearing...
Yes this Judge has my complete respect, very professional heartfelt, all should have such dignity..
You can sense it coming off of him. People like him are few in between in this ‘2️⃣2️⃣ society.
You could see his silhouette moving infront of the fire and now knowing he was burning the heads of his parents at that time is sick. He was cutting them up and processing them for disposal. Using saws, Knives, Scissors etc to do that evil job. He was busy.
Can you imagine dismembering your parents and burning their bodies? I just can't even fathom it!!!
So was his girlfriend
You must have excellent vision.
I think whenever the light is on in the garage, he’s cutting them up 😖
It is 2022 and still a complicated nightmare trying to get a laptop to project a video image on a screen first time around.
Thank God they didn't need to print anything 🤣
Defense should not be answering "yes" everytime she asks the witness a test. Let the witness provide the answer.
They should've used Chandler to dive into the pond. He works for the police anyway!!!!
😂😂😂
Yes the judge is a class act!!!
‘No thank you’. Ridiculous.
This detective Kuntz that investigated video analysis knows his job and is very good at doing/ explaining it . Wish there were more detectives that testify come across like this detective . Good job.
Yeah he was like wow. He also explained it so well that everyone could understand. When he first started I was this is going to go over everyone's heads. He basically put the cherry on top. Sorry best reference I could think of.
GREAT POLICE WORK !!!!! YOU GIRLS AND GUYS ROCK !!!!
🙄…
The best trials were the murdaugh trial and the darrell brooks trial..😊
That video analysis!!!!!!!
The judge has got his ear peirced he seems like a really nice guy

From Everything I Read on a Article Site Awhile ago It Seems that his Parents Were Really Nothing to Him But A Meal Ticket and a Free Place to Stay!!
This dude thought he was smart, and that was his downfall.
It is fascinating to me that this arson investigator claims to “love to grill” while still associating the smell of bbq pork with that of burned human remains. I’m fairly certain that, if that were the case with me, my professional experience would result in a strict raw vegan diet.
I am a vegetarian and this last days I've been feeling thankful to be one 🤭
@@carborundorum… wow, insensitive ….somewhat. Pray the Haldersons family and friends never see such a comment!
Meat cooking will smell similar. It makes sense. Definitely gross. I have a hard enough time eating meat myself. Finding this out in first hand experience would completely do me in.
@@carborundorum …. Now that’s a softer explanation of what you meant.
Words do lay flat on paper and it appeared blunt and came across insensitive in how I read it. I apologise and appreciate you clarifying what you meant. It doesn’t help when you’re on UA-cam .. way past your sleep hours either. ( note taken!)
@@JojoplusBo What a cordial reply -- it says a lot about your character. :) I, too, am guilty of being up way past my sleep hours on YT as well, especially when I get engrossed in videos of this trial. I hope that you are doing well and getting some rest! :)
Do we know if the safe at the basement was empty? They've mentioned it because it had blood splatter.
Is that toilet paper on the witness stand? It’s giving me anxiety 🙀
Bahaha yep looks like toilet paper to me! Someone didn't stock up the tissues! 🤣😂
😅I thought so too the first day but its kitchen paper roll, idk why they have it, at least buy the blue ones
Paper towel. To sanitize between witnesses probably
Oh my god…did that whole barbecue conversation just seriously happen? I can’t. That was too much for me. This is so evil
Yeah, it was surprising. Also, I was taken by surprise that the witness was a retired cop and the distinct smell didn't prompt him to make some phone calls. Knowing what we know now I bet he won't eat pork again.
@@Cainwayne15 🤮 I will definitely not eat it, again!🤮
So annoying when the lady prosecutor doesn't put her mic on when moving around and asking questions.
For him being a computer kid he sure was not to bright on search history
Considering he failed out of college (Which was basically what set off the dominoes that lead to this murder.), chances are he wasn't particularly as computer savvy as he wanted people to think.
Chandler keeps taking notes lol
Can't wait to hear what new lies he is gonna come up with. 🧐
"Pools are terribly risky, terrifying things" wow, how would you like to live with that guy, lol.
he couldn't say "I was planning on spying on whoever was in the pool"
Was thinking the same thing: what a barrel of fun he'd be to live with! If you think a pool is terribly risky and terrifying (and WHY would you think that??), why would you go to the trouble and expense of putting one in? People are strange.
Chandler - Hold my Starbucks..
I think he meant the possibility of someone, a guest, a neighborhood child, a pet, drowning in them.
