I don't think it's in this video but in the police interrogation he mentioned that Kat's mother and her friend "wanted to see me fall apart" and then added that he even cried and when the detective asked why he was crying and why he fell apart he gave the cop an incredulous look and said something like, "Did you ever have your legs become paralyzed?' If he were normal, or if he even knew how normal people react, he would have known that would have been an excellent time to say, "Well, my parents were still missing, and I was very worried that something bad might have happened to them." Nope. Not good old Chazzle. He was concerned about his own well-being and of course he also had to worry about that GIGANTIC HOLE in his toe. He couldn't even PRETEND concern about his parents. I think the last person for whom I felt this much disgust was the contempt and disgust I felt for Casey Anthony.

As this case goes further, I'm of the opinion the SKS round Chandler gifted to his brother Mitch while hospitalized was a subtle taunt "this is whats coming soon"! His remark "he's the one that flew the coop" (about his brother striking out on his own) may have a different meaning, more of resentment. No doubt Mitch would have been next.

“She sent me to my room.”
    “They fed me.”
    “I was grounded.”
    “She put me to bed.”
Chandler has a strange verbiage pattern when relaying interactions with people in his life he deferred to, almost subordinate to. As a 23 yr old, even if living at home (especially if college and job), I don’t think I would be ok with “groundings” and sent to my room. While consequences should be implemented if houserules aren’t followed, physical control over another adult’s body/movements is extreme.
I don’t think they felt the same power imbalance he did, so “Can you please just go away and give me time to calm down.” wouldn’t be considered “sent to my room”. “They fed me” comes off as infantile but also endearing…if he were 5 yrs old. It’s creepy. He seems to enjoy that position almost like a spoiled child will act out for attention.
I don’t think he murdered them because of rage due to his Dad discovering his secrets and the threats of loss of $, free home and groceries, etc. I think he enjoyed feeling like coddled child, so precious everyone must protect him.
Whatever pleasure he got from that dominant/submissive vibe obviously warped his mind so much that THIS was the only remedy.
    Jesus.

@Michele Mahon, That's just it, Chas is nothing but an infant in his way of thinking and speaking. He got away with so much lying he started at a very young age manipulating his parents with nothing but lies, and it never stopped. I wonder if mom had a complicated birth that his brain was damaged or was he just born a psychopath. I guess we will never know. But all of us with normal thinking know just because we don't have a job, wouldn't go to these lengths to try and cover it up by shooting and dismembering our parents. Also, a person who dismembers the bodies? Are on a whole different level of evil. So I say he was born this way.

He seems to have desperately needed their undivided love and attention, and been enjoying it, as previously suggested. A man child who was very happy to be one.
The changes seem to have escalated after his brother, who lived independently, was suddenly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, which can be life threatening. I’m guessing that Bart and Krista were consumed with worry over Mitchell’s health, and Chandler felt overlooked - hence the sudden ‘injury’, which required a neck brace. The man suffered a mild blow to the head, but told everyone that he had suffered a brain aneurism, possible paralysis, and would possibly need a colostomy, (the most bizarre claim ever).
I think he saw his parents’ devotion to him shifting, as they fretted over a genuinely sick Mitchell. This whole case could have come down to something as banal as sibling rivalry. It’s possible that Bart and Krista were finally losing patience with him because Mitch was critically ill, and he couldn’t take what he perceived to be rejection. He clearly wanted to appear to be very unwell, very shortly after Mitch was hospitalised. He was rightly no longer his parents’ prime concern. Boom. Crazy as a shithouse rat.

      @michelemahon141 2 роки тому +8

@@wessexwench6974 I can speak to the parent’s position when their other son was diagnosed with type 1, as my own daughter was diagnosed at age 6, with type 1 diabetes. She’s now 21, but I still worry daily, check in often and have become extremely involved and knowledgeable not only about her health in particular, but with new advancements, trial tests, different methods of treatment etc. So, I could definitely see how they would have been so consumed by his diagnosis as well as the initial first few months and years when you try to settle in to a new”normal”.
He was used to being the baby, the center of attention that he just couldn’t comprehend how he could live his life as a functioning member of society without their safety net to catch if and when he screwed up again. I can just imagine the hatred he felt towards his brother, probably ENVYING the attention he was getting from having an incurable, chronic health condition that was certain to end his life prematurely, no matter the treatment. How disgusting of a human being do you have to be to feel jealousy of that?

His parents were good people and very caring to him and his older brother. They seemed very supportive and trying to help him find his career path. It’s too bad he didn’t just be honest to his folks about his avalanche of lies. They probably would have been disappointed but would have worked things out because they ultimately just wanted the best for him but instead he chose the cowards way out and ended their lives. And then grotesquely and morbidly dismembered their bodies as though they had no value or worth as parents to him at all. All because he just wanted to remain lazy and not do anything to supporting himself and being an adult. Now he gets to be lazy in prison and be fed his three square meals each day and not have to be responsible in paying bills. What a waste. He really wasn’t too bright as a murderer thinking that he would get away with it. I guess he thought he was going to get an inheritance of his hard working parents’ money. So sad and disturbing. Such a senseless act of violence and murder.

I'm not sure that the forensic scientist mentions it, but in crime scenes, they'll use luminol to find suspected areas of blood. They'll rule out the possibility of the reaction being anything other than blood by swabbing the most florescent area, then using phenolphthalein which turns pink in the presence of blood. If the sample is rich enough, they can even do a DNA test of that blood.
Sure wish Forensic Files would come back to Netflix. I'm addicted to that show.

Around @42:25 that one defense attorney tried to change the question up after she initially asked "but you can't definitively tell us HOW any evidence got there?", After he says no that's incorrect, and she asks for an example, he gives the example of the blood splatter pattern. She then says, "but again, you can't tell us WHEN that was placed there?", ....yeah, I got your number lady! I would've loved it if he called her out on that little trick (such a defense attorney ..the liars. No wonder they can sit next to Chandler without projectile vomiting into his direction), would've been really cool if he said "no, I can't tell you when, but you specifically asked whether it was true we can't tell you HOW evidence got there, and sometimes...we CAN". Still, this is a very good witness and deputy. He is very observant and clearly very dedicated to this job, with much interest in it. Each witness is called to testify on (sometimes small) parts of the case they have direct knowledge of. Evidentiary rules require it. Additionally the chain of custody has to be shown on each piece of evidence, and sometimes that makes for some rather dry testimony that can be rather frustrating to a jury I imagine. Each crime has what are referred to “elements” and all have to be proven. All evidence used to prove these elements must be admissible in court, therefore the necessity for all the testimony that can sometimes seem small or inconsequential. If the steps to authenticate and show chain of custody aren’t met it can be deemed inadmissible. Not admissible = not evidence. I hope this helps explain why some witnesses may seem right now to be insignificant. It all comes together in the end and the prosecution will lay it all out in closing.

So the blood splatter on the safe suggests it was "placed there" at a 90° angle. I'm trying to visualize WHAT WAS AT A 90° ANGLE. Was it the gun or Bart? Was he bending over the safe when he was shot? Did Chandler force his dad to open the safe while training the rifle on him? Where did he kill Krista? From the luminol, it looks like they were both killed in the basement and carried upstairs to be dismembered by the fireplace where luminol revealed the presence of blood. One of the weapons of destruction (dismemberment) covered in blood was carried out to the garage and something sickle shaped dropped on the floor where luminol revealed the presence of blood.
The matricide, patricide, dismemberment, incineration, and discarding of his parents' remains in woods and lakes is beyond terrifying. Then, perhaps most terrifying, he gives his brother a single bullet from the same stash of bullets used to kill his parents!
    HIS BROTHER IS IN DANGER!

Thankfully they tested for blood after luminol. So guaranteed that basement would've lit right up if they laid a layer of luminol everywhere.

Well, he could drain blood after killing them then place. The dismemberment made it easier to transport parts and dump in different areas as well as getting rid off evidence.....
Then he used tarp, garbage bags and duct tape to ensure he left as little as evidence as possible.....it's beyond sickening. I don't know how any normal human being could even consider this method on his own parents....

After killing his parents he dismembered both but realised he couldn’t fit /burn all body parts.
He then bought tarp and figured out what day he could go to the farm and dispose of the rest, Chandler had put his parents remains in the freezer, to keep cold enough to transport with out dripping blood everywhere.
