Daniel, do you already know the Terävä Jääkäripuukko Knife from VARUSTELEKA, Finnland? I got the 140 milimeter version, love it!

I heard about them, but I don't have any of them. I can't seem to get them for a good price here in Ontario Canada. I'll just keep looking and one day I'll get lucky.

Yes I will John. I need to head out somewhere and just let the trees do the talking while I listen, if you know what I mean. LOL To much media can sure stress one out.

Hey Daniel, I got some thoughts about your video minute 40:35. The single snap on the Jea Tec sheath is not bad, because think other ways... The loop is meant to be used with the snap closure facing towards your belly/body/waistline. So by doing this, the snap is clamped between the inner side of your belt and your waist seam (correct??) from your trousers/you body.
The snap will hold very good like this. My BÖKER Bronco Knife uses the same one-snap-closure-belt-loop. It works fine!
And no worry, the simplicity putting the knife on/off the belt WITHOUT opening the trousers belt is always there 🙂
Best regrads from Germany, Thanks for sharing your videos!! Torsten

Thanks for leaving your comment. I hear what you are saying about the ease of having a snap in belting the knife, I do get it. Just some info on me. I'm a big game hunter, have been for 40 years now. A big part of hunting is tracking. In this situation your not walking a straight line, nor on a trail, your heavy bush bound. A snap holding your knife to your belt is not what you want, I've seen too many knives and sheaths lost during the tracking. Just because of that alone I carry my knives in my small backpack. I guess if your just going out into the woodlands to spend a few nights, I say yes nothing wrong with snaps on a sheath as long as your not trucking through the thick stuff. I think the JEO-TEC snap on their sheaths are weak compared to others. Again just my opinion. Don't get me wrong I do like the knife.

@@danielcharbonneau222 Ah, that makes sense. From the point of view of a hunter who only concentrates on hunting success when tracking, it is clear that one must be able to rely on the knife not being lost. Of course, I wouldn't rely on such snaps either!
And for all sorts of other occasions like hiking, camping, or bushcraft, the idea of the snap button closure on the belt loop is totally fine.
Thanks again for showing! I am now a subscriber of yours :-)
