I have used the xootr original for about 15 years. It does roll forever on flat, relatively smooth roads. I don’t like the pin for collapsing, it slows thing down and I’ve bent 2 of them! Need a replacement.
They stopped using the pin over 10 years ago when they redesigned it in like 2012. That's on you man.
Xootr has models with wide base like MG, Street. Does anybody can share experience in the difference between narrow and wide ones?
Wide is best and doesn't really affect the portability surprisingly. Well designed and makes it easier to roll for long distances.
Where do you find the Kick pad scooter for sale in UK or Europe? anyone help?
why no comparision to razor a5 lux? i have the razor a5 lux.. changed bearing and changed the tire to air.. Love the beast live in nyc

Changing one wheel to air doesn't make the other hard urethane wheel any less dangerous.
Micro Suspension is probably the most comfortable Micro Scooter currently available, unfortunately it is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to use and should be pulled off the market. The way rear suspension is designed makes it unsuitable for heavier persons and it WILL BREAK over time. My weight is slightly over 90 kg (cca 200 pounds) and the rear suspension broke THREE TIMES. Once it DOES break, because of the way it is designed, the whole deck hits the ground and you will GO FLYING. It is only by luck and God's help I suffered no injury at each incident, but in general you can pretty much kill yourself especially when riding at higher speed. Beside local distributor I have contacted the Swiss headquarters about the issue, but they did not even care enough to reply, which is a shame because Micro scooters are of very high quality, in general, and I have already gone through several of them (ground them down with hundreds of kilometers of heavy use) and never had a serious issue like this one before.
Hi, I'm considering to upgrade from Metropolitan to Suspension. Can you please be more specific. How it is possible to break three times? Is it because of bolts?
@@FilipZG385 Yes, the bolts are stressed in shear and they fail in time.
@@rogue_bard Thank you for such quick reply :) Then it is solvable with stronger bolts. What I don't like is that once again I will have to do work on a brand new purchase. Micro scooters are definitively not what they used to be since my Metropolitan scooter had front LED light issue from day one. It kept blinking and going out on bumpier roads because wiring inside stem was not soldered properly. Not a big thing since it is working like a charm from then on, but lost an hour on something that came out of the box faulty.
Getting the go ped know ped so i can scoot around with my 4 year old, getting it in the uk isnt easy though!

What is the maximum speed the kickped can go at? If one tries hard enough, can it reach a bike at average speed, say, at 13 miles at least?
+Alvaro Nunez Tough to give a MPH on the Kickped without a device to correctly measure, but if I had to guess I'd say 10 mph would be more accurate. For more speed I would definitely recommend a Xootr or City Kicker. -Connor.
I pushed my Kickped to 13.2 mph max. 8.5 mph-9.8 mph average. The Xootr and Razor A6 are faster, but also much more dangerous on rough/bumpy surfaces. Not ideal scooters for urban areas like the Kickped or Micro Suspension.

Shame suspension kills all foward push, makes it harder than just no suspension
Hard urethane wheels with no suspension like the Xootr are hell on most urban surfaces.
