At the Pahrump Valley Museum, there are pictures of what Cathedral Canyon looked like, back in the 1940’s and 1950’s. Several well known movie actors (including the “It Girl” Clara Bow) were Wiley’s guests at his ranch. The nearby (former Front Sight range) property was a rocket engine test area, decades ago. The dirt road that passes through Wiley’s property that goes from Pahrump to Sandy Valley is actually Nevada State (highway) 16.

I rode my motorcycle down that road in the early 80's at night and came up on Cathedral Canyon. It was very dark and I came up to that bridge and flipped the switch. I was blown away! There were lights, music, and waterfalls that just turned on with that switch. It was amazing. I was so disappointed when I saw the canyon more recently. Something so cool was just destroyed. Good segment!

I went to Vegas last week. Been a couple years since I been there. There's a couple big, ugly solar farms to the east of Vegas too. Driving back to Kingman, AZ, I saw a valley full of windmills. A buttload of them. Trashed out the whole valley. As much as I opposed Nuclear power plants back in the '70s and '80s, I'm having second thoughts now.

Went out there for the first time in 90-91 senior school year. Was super cool -suspension bridge - lights - stereo inside a little wooden box and all the canyon dugouts were backlit stained glass window looking covers .

They didn't care about Red Rock Canyon either. There were petroglyphs and rock shelters, with red handprints. The biggest petroglyph wall had ships and fish carved in the rocks. I have one of the last pictures of what was left in 1994. I imagine they are totally gone by now. Green Valley used to look like Cathedral Canyon, with a huge creek and train trussel bridge. Nice trees and deep gullies. Now Green Valley is practically flat. The hills and dunes we rode our motorcycles and horses to are gone. Sunset Park was something special, too. There were a lot of cool places around Vegas. To get out of the city wasn't that far, then. Top of Sahara Blvd was the end of town. Decater and Sahara were where we used to go to get stoned and watch the lights from the Strip .

If you google his name and the word lawsuit after it, there are all kinds of drama around it. For the air races to happen in a year from now, the airport would have to be built already, and practice laying out the course.. PRS (pylon racing school) usually happens in the spring.

I have been watching for a couple of years, now.
Would like more drone footage. You can find some spectacular things, and your narrations are excellent. You can focus in on things you've visited before.

What a shame. The last time I was at Cathedral Canyon was 1977 and it was an amazing testament to what crazy desert rats do when they have nothing but time on their hands. I had no idea it had fallen into ruin. Love your videos. Heartbreaking, but nice to know it isn't worth ever going back to.

Always amazed and amused how Wonderhussy talks to the camera like we are there with her. Animated, funny, never boring, great voice acting, and of course, peering over the sunglasses for emphasis!

Nice video, good recitation of events. The Boogie man was accused of many things. Interestingly, when it was brought out that many of the crimes, incidents and other activities he was reportedly involved with happened at or near the same times And a good distance apart. Officials quietly, stopped making statements. Everyone stay safe, happy 😊 and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia

I was able to see this place in its glory , when I lived part time in Pahrump in winter and lake Tahoe in summer , building Condos and golf coarse in the desert, For a few years . Camped and had peyote parties with a group of hippies finding native American religion practices . The place was great and strange and was there when you can light it up at night . Very strange and fun at night on that site and the ghost of the half breed was haunting the area.

I feel the solar farms should be incorporated with food crops requiring shade…. If they lift em up just a bit it can be done…. Out there…… it just ruins so much

Looking at solar farms, I think the panels could be taller and allow campers, travellers, etc a shaded parking space. Or, would they dangerous to park underneath. Multipurpose use would be great.

Steal the water from us here in Pahrump is their plan, plus this beast will only add to the noise and congestion of our peaceful town, place the thing out in Primm area, better there than here, Clark county is a sh>t hole anyway,

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I believe the space port is planed for an area north of the solar farms and highway 160. You can see the outline of the land on google maps.
