- Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #527
Date of Adventure: 4/12-4/15/21
I set out to some remote Death Valley hot springs with my sister and a friend -- a journey I've done many times in the past, and which normally takes about 8 hours. But thanks to unforeseen disasters...it ended up being an unexpected 4-day expedition of weirdness. CLEAN YOUR FUEL FILTERS, PEOPLE!

wonderhussy, wonder hussy, wonder hussey, wonder hussie
I could listen to this lady talk about anything and just have her in the background. She's like a positive thought in human form.
She is fun. And a growing addiction for me. It's hard to resist watching her videos.
She is so great and you are so right.... I sometimes feel we are just together to discover awesome places even if I am watching these videos from Paris .... 😁... She is so great in describing stuff... You just think you are with her in the middle of nowhere 🤣 She is one of the best on youtube to discover Vegas and more exciting places in the west... thanks Wonderhussy... 😁
@@sebastien5070 I think it would be a fun-riot if Wonderhussy went to France and took us on a tour of Paris (or anywhere in France.)
@@yepiratesworkshop7997 This could be so much fun. I am in 😁🤣 let's do this, margarita with a view on the eiffel tower or great outdoor barbecue in the Loire Valley...
@@sebastien5070 I'd have to go there by ship. I quit flying about a decade ago. But a trans-Atlantic voyage might be a lot of fun, too. Could you see WonderHussy contained to the mere dimensions of a ship for a week? She'd be running around without clothes -- hairy armpits waving -- saying "Hey! Where's the hot springs?" Of course, she'd have her trash bag with her to pick up anybody's litter. It'd be crazy-fun!
Wonderhussy is the only one I'll sit through a 3 minute commercial for :D
Wonderhussy I know that the hardest thing to find is a friend you can truly count on. Your friend Terry I'm sure, is counting his blessings to have you and your sister as friends. He is quite fortunate.
Way to go making an adventure out of circumstances. You're a good friend Huss. Onward to a hot spring hoopla!!
I had the same problem with my vehicle.Took it too a mechanic and his diagnosis was"loose nut behind the wheel".😂😂😂
Yeah sometimes the problem is between the seat and steering wheel.
That will be $300 please
I've broken down in the middle of the desert.... several times! It's no fun but fun to talk about AFTERWARDS. Friends helping out made the difference.
Oh yeah, always fun to talk about it after you get it fixed
Only thing that sucks more is breaking down in a boat.
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot the login password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Lian Kyson instablaster :)
@Kyree Forest I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
"Whacky, Wild,,,,but always interesting," Yep, that's Wonderhussy!
I really like you and your videos. You are one of the best storytellers. .🏴☠️
Only Wonderhussy could make a video about trouble with a truck and a hot springs and clown motel and you watch it to the end!!! Best of all you enjoy it!!!!! Take Care and Stay Safe Wonderhussy!!!!!!
I was waiting for a UAP to fly overhead to add some spice
@@rsprockets7846 You are right!!!!
I love her details,
She doesn’t miss a thing.
She seems like she’s talking
directly to you !!
I love ❤️ this habit.
She will say, “ Now we both know “
She is totally always sincere.
Breakdowns in the middle of nowhere are always my biggest concern while traveling around the western US. Glad this one worked out alright
It happens to all of us eventually. Just takes extra time and $$$ to get out and fixed up again.
Yes, always have a mechanic check out your rig before going on those lonely highways.
He was able to self repair...great! Many things can stop you in your tracks in the backcountry: multiple flat tires without the ability to patch and reflate, bad fuel pump, battery cell short (nostart), rodent chewing engine wire harness while you sleep, failed starter, wiring problems, engine ecm failure, alternator dies and unable to drive out before battery dies, and of course ignition coil issues but you can still drive with this most likely.
Mechanics cant see into the future as to what will soon fail but is working 100% right now.....you just gotta take chances sometimes folks. Life is never 100%
Fortunately they were in a Convoy! 10-4!
I like the way she talks she talks like old school and she gets it said she doesn’t beat around the bush and she’s funnier than hell
What exactly is talking like old school mean, I'm curious because other than sounding like she's had one too many energy drinks she speaks perfectly normal.

Great quote from the founder of Patagonia
That's how memories are made, other wise it's going from point A to point B, nothing special about that
Just for the Hussinator's followers, a little trivia, the Cottontail brothel at Lida junction is where Howard Hughes used to hang out..It's also where he owned huge acreage..Also it's supposed where he was picked up disheveled by a gas station attendant that was listed in Hughes's will..
Yes WH has mentioned this in past videos. Interesting story regarding HH
No, that was at Gabbs, Nevada far north
Only wonderhussy could talk 90 mph and still make perfect sense out of a complex situation. Wtg
What the heck is😁she ranting about
Ha that is exactly what I was thinking on the opening of the podcast. The fastest I've seen Wonderhussy talk.
Yep
Don't slam Wonderhussy for talking fast...'cause, in another life, she was an auctioneer(8-p.
She has the gift of gab.
Wonderhussy is blessed with good fortune whether the circumstances
I love her perception on life. Keep on traveling!
Tonopah local here, cool to see alot of the places I recognize in your videos.
@Richard Richard Haha, it definitely isn't for everyone that's for sure.
I'm stuck in tonopah as well
Home of Art Bell!
The money I spent on the AAA upgrade to the 200 mile tow, paid for itself the the first time I used it.
Broke down on a Sunday nite at the highway 4 exit on I5 in Stockton. 90 miles from home.
3 tows a year and with rv you get your trailer towed also.
Good Sams gives unlimited towing miles.
Gotta love Nevada!! Great cops, friendly people, and... burros. Come back up to Paradise Valley some day!!
Paradise Valley.. Found my first arrowhead there in 1954.. Been there many times as I lived in Winnemucca and Paradise was.. well. paradise . I hung around the "millpond"...I have some cool black and whites I took of Paradise ( pre discovery)...over the years..
Is the Quonset(sp) hut over the adobe bar still there.?
The bartender, the dog and a cool story circa 1955.....
I took a trip there in the spring of 1981..alone .. in my RX7 ( I was a factory rep for Mazda and Nevada was part of my territory) I had a large breasted 103 lb blonde for a wife and she was a problem...similar to a Ferrari, fast around corners and unreliable.... I needed to make a serious life changing decision... I went to W'mucca then off to Paradise in the RX7 alone where I got stuck in the snow .. managed to get out..
Wandered up to my favorite outlook ( I took a selfie with a Nikon FE2) and pondered my fate and what I should do about what's-her-name. I made a decision on my ponder rock... she has to go.
The rest of the story is......Do not visit, call, write or in anyway contact me or my family. Leave me alone, leave my family alone, go away. She went and I have never seen or heard from her since. My new life began in Paradise.
YOU GIRLS ARE AMAZING. WH IN THE HELL WOULD LEAVE A GOOD FRIEND BROKE DOWN. WONDERFUL GALS
Thanks for letting us know what was going on, Love. I was hoping you would. If I had to guess, I'd say Terry got some contaminates in his tank in Mexico. And the fuel system cleaners in
American diesel fuel probably helped spread them around. So now he's clogging filters and little valves in the system. Duramax diesels are pretty good engines though. My suggestion for
him is to run the tank down pretty close to empty and then take it out and clean in up good first chance he gets. That's what I would do. Might save him having to buy any more of the parts
from maybe having them clogged and or stressed due to crud in the system. Just me thinking. Anyway, I'm sure glad you were able to make a pretty neat video out of all that. You rock.
With the brothel closed, when an ass gets its head stuck in the fence: that's urgent news for a small town sheriff!
Opportunity knocks !!
Wonderhussy is the best storyteller. Best entertainment choice of all. Sarah, you are fabulous.
Putting your friend's emergency first is a testimony to your character.
I know where you were headed, very glad the trouble did not arise out there, several thousand dollar tow from that place! Glad you finally made it to the hot spring! Best wishes on your travels Wonderhussy! Really enjoy watching your adventures and top notch content!
Saline valley?
I’ve herd of the sheep with its head in the fence in Wyoming I guess when the brothel is closed and the men hear about a burrow in Nevada they come a running lol 😂
Thank you Wonderhussy, your videos really brighten up my day. Stay safe
Only WH could make a video about a broke down pick-up into a great entertaining adventure. That is why she has 158K subscribers.
BS!
WOW! “EasBound And Down, Loaded Up And Truckin , We Got a Long Way To Go And a Short Time To Get There”.... (Ha, Ha)🎼🎵🎶 🎸 What a crazy road trip “Wonderhussy” but in the end y’all managed to make it to the hot spring. Dig that mate. But I’ve gotta check out that Clown Hotel the next time I visit NV. Crazy fun vibes there for sure. Next time. Be safe.👍🇦🇺🤪😁☮️❤️
Another wild and whacky Wonderhussy adventure! 👍👍👍👍👍
Traveled that stretch before. Glad you went back to find him.
Great video WH! Thanks for taking us along!
Sarah you sure had an adventure on this trip I love ❤️ your explanation on the repairs on the truck
Thanks Ms. Wonderhussy! Love these vids! Be safe and well. You make me look forward to hump day!
Busy busy busy, yes the journey is the adventure,,, glad to hear the property purchase is going well.... good luck and best wishes.J.
Great video Wonder Hussey
Truly show what a great friend you are ..... thanks for posting ....
Hahaha! Truly a Wonderhussy Adventure!!! You're a good friend! My friends and family left me in Wisconsin in my antique car. Had to drive back to Indiana by myself. Got divorced not to long after. My husband was one of the people that left me behind.
Every time you mention your Sister I get anxious to see her! I beg you to let us meet her!
It was nice going along for your adventure, intended or unanticipated! It was nice visiting Tonooah, and Bishop, along with you as a guide! Hope you had a grand time! Best wishes for another fun journey! 🌅
I enjoyed your journey and it made me miss my home state of Nevada. Hey, the Cottontail looks very sad.... It was once alive and hopping...back a lifetime ago.
Be safe and keep wandering.
'Ok, Terry will tell his story and I'll interrupt him every 5 seconds.'
Great adventure. Thanks for taking care of your friend. It says a lot about you.
true story ,back in 1977 ,riding out were you are, got past by a DAM PINTO ,GOING A 100 + way up a head big wreck , only car for miles ,two Pinto found each other ,and the road intersection ,yes Pinto RD. and 95
Hey! Congrats! Glad you all made it to th he hot springs! And had some adventures on the way!!
I couldn't sleep with those creepy clown's watching me.🤭
Wonderhussy buys her own land , and creates hussycoumpound with her sis.😍
Oh boy
i would invest in a WHLANDGRAB... a great plan for open desert boondocking,ltd... just send me the llc mission statement, covenants, & gps. a wonderful legacy for desert lovers everywhere... next generation, a gentler, kinder burningman...
What an epic tale! You make Hump Day ever so much better.😎
I know what the problem is with your friend's pickup....it's a Chevy Diesel! I owned one ... cost me a fortune in repairs just like that ...five different mechanics have five different opinions wow SOOO familiar. I could have purchased like 2 pickups for all the money I spent on it. Do yourself a favor, sell it and get a Toyota or Volvo 4 runner. Fun vid although I would have loved to seen more of the spring and scenery.
Right, Chevy Diesel is an oxymoron!
A friend with a Chevy diesel is not a friend, he is a liability.
Great video. Loads of fun. Thanks
What a journey.
Glad you made it to the hot springs. Hope we get to see a video there.
What a adventure. Your spirit and sense of adventure is always uplifting and your stories entertaining.
You are just awesome! So present, relatable, entertaining, and funny.
At least you showed the wisdom, to use multiple vehicles. I have started to lose confidence in diesels. So last time I bought a truck. I bought the 6.4 liter Hemi. It has been three years, without a hiccup.
The Convoluted Fantastical Trails and Tribulations of the Husstress & Company!
I stopped at that brothel back in 96, to use the rest room. The ladies were very friendly!
Tonopah.... what a crazy place!
I spent two of the weirdest weeks of my life there, while performing with a band at the Station House casino.
I could write a book about that experience....
Lol, if I’m ever caught in a brothel I’ll use that! “Officer, I just stopped to use the restroom!”
Is it the run down white building at the intersection of 95 and 266?
got to the part of the video showing it - that's the building on google maps. It's south of 266, and west of 95.
In the old days before cell phones, the excuse was "I just went in for change to use the pay phone out front."
You know what? I'd read that book.
Stopped in to use the bathroom huh. OK.
Ah, I have been itching to get out there since it has opened back up but I think I will wait until fall. Glad you still made it out there!
I applauded Finally when y'all arrived at the Hot spring! As always LOVE the Clown Motel! Great Video! So glad you made it! :)
I'm glad you are alright and had help. Be safe out there.
I drove across that pass as a young man back in the early 80’s. I was heading from western Washington to Phoenix Arizona to work in construction. I remember that pass because of the way it was cut out of the surrounding rocks, and the lonely stretches of roadway. Good times!
Thanks Again For Streaming Your Life
Lol...this was crazy!! Just another Wonderhussy day! 🥰😎😁
You’ll probably be doing this for the rest your life Wonderhhussy and I’ll be following
We luv this gal😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I now have nightmares about being trapped in a truck with This Woman for 300 miles. Death Valley - damn right! Yak, yak, yak...
Wonderhussy is truly a riot. What a great personality. She also has a great lifestyle.Traveling through some of nature's most beautiful scenery, how much better can it get.
Finally got to see your sister.. and your friend. Great journeys always come with their share of ups and downs. At least yours ended well! Kudos to you all! ;-)
Thanks for the awesome video! We love Wonderhussy!
You got it done! Hot springs would have been fun, but good thing you stayed to help your friend. That makes the reward even more sweet!
I broke down in that same spot in the early 90's that brothel was still open then....I spent all night out there until the sheriff stopped to help...It's called Scotties Junction..
You are such great people and friends! Great video thank you for sharing! See you next time! Much love to you!😃❤👍
Love Love Love - The Journey!!🥰
Congrats 🎉 on your and your sister's land purchase.
I wonder if they purchased the 2,733 acres near the brothel? 6:31
i know how desolate those highways are. roadtripped in a new 1989 toyota truck without air conditioning.113 degreesF. i had a six pack of beer and drnk it for hydration with my left foot out the wndow and my right foot over the transmission. by the time i had finished the six pack and stopped on the side of the road to pee i think i had seen three vehicles. do not do what i do.
this was before gps and interwebs. just an atlas and camping gear.
Well.....you can definitely say this was a Wonder Hussy adventure.....always something unexpected! Your a good friend Sarah! We should all have friends like you, few and far between. ❤️❤️❤️
LOL great story! keep having them adventures!!!
Sarah can do anything, no matter What. Wonderhussy is always a winner.
Wow. What a trip. You're a great friend to have while in Death Valley.
What about while in Vegas?
No "Yikers!" this time? A nice, fun video, today!😀
I used to work at Tonapah Station back in the early 90s.
Great video and trip. Whew
I enjoy your storytelling !

Life is beautiful and exciting when we roll with the bumps along our journey. I advise people all the time work the issue don't allow the issue to work you. Keep enjoying your journey.
Oh thanks again for sharing life with enthusiasm and passion for EarthMom
This breakdown is funny to me. In the early 1980's, while returning home from a family vacation, our Chevy Suburban's fuel pump went bad. It was puking gas. We pulled into the outskirts of Tonopah and parked. Gasoline ran down the street. I called the fire dept to alert them and maybe come sop up the gas. Nope. They refused. "Call us when it catches fire" they said. It didn't. But we spent 3 days in Tonopah waiting for a new fuel to arrive via a bus and be installed.
Moral of story...carry spares...traveled between nyc and DC on turnpike regular in 70s. Threw a belt on the chevy I had 2 spares under spare nice trooper stood by us while I popped it on and followed us to the nearest reset stopp to chek other stuff..classy cop...
@@rsprockets7846 I still have a spare fan belt for my 1956 Chevy Suburban that I rolled in the Mojave Desert in 1967.
