Dude, are you kidding me it's like you are the only one on the internet constantly posting amazing videos about Disenchantment. Please do not think you are posting too much about it, it's actually the reason I subscribed & check your channel every other day. Do go on.
I have some stuff for you for another BATTLE video: 🔥 1. "The very thing" What is it exactly? I don't think it's just the goo. How was the goo created? If it was created (by trogs?) after the elves lost the battle - then the elves shouldn't know about it. Was it there before? If electricity was there, why the battle needed to be fought? 2. Reasons for Battle Why did the battle was originally fought? Someone already used electricity during the battle... so electricity isn't probably it. Did the humans need space for living? Where did humans come from then? 3. Mermaid in the Battle Why did the mermaids join the elves? Why? In Part 3 Episode 6 "Last Splash", 15min 50sec, mean learns about the stars. There is a constellation called a Big Flipper - an ancient mermaid with a bow who died in the "Battle of Fallen Water" who "killed a lot of humans with her fish bow". The mermaid skeleton Bean touched during the vision in Part 4 on the spot of the battle had the bow. It is also said clearly that the mermaid island is a NEW homeland for mermaids. So have mermaids lived in Dreamland before? 4. The Curse of Ogs 99% sure the curse wasn't casted by the elves who are like babies. That's some dark magic. Did they get in contact with the Hell? Is that the reason they needed to hide Elfwood in the woods not to pay the debt? In the very first episode of the show, everyone in Dreamland was surprised to see an Elf. Except Luci. Just saying. 5. Sea Trogs If the Elves and Mermaids lived together, and Trogs come from the Elves... The sea Trogs are biproduct of the Elves mating with Mermaids who drunk the goo. 6. Oona's Piracy and Cremorrah "Mommy has to go to work". What ships does Oona intercept? The "dread pirate Leavo" wasn't said to be an unsuccessful pirate. In Part 2, Episode 3 "The Very Thing", we see that it was Oona who taught the pirates how to be pirates and intercept other ships. Leavo was in the captain's room focusing on the "Very Thing". But Leavo had a reputation. This hints it wasn't Leavo's problem but rather a lack of trade ships. The question arises - what country's trade ships is Oona intercepting? In Part 4 Episode 2, there is an interesting city name written in the airship "New Cremorrah". In Part 1 Episode 8, we learn that Cremorrah was "a kingdom of unimaginable wealth". Have those people rebuilt their civilization and became wealthy again? In one of your videos you hint that the debt to Hell was earned by Maru very recently. That means the attack on Cremorrah isn't that old as the Battle.
@@stanlukash33 I loved reading about your ideas! Thank you for sharing them. 🤗 I also noticed the destination on the airship that was labeled "New Cremorrah" - that was crazy! Do you think we will ever see this place? I do not think it is likely, but I hope so. 🤞 I would also like to know a lot more about the battle that was fought over Dreamland. If this was a battle for Dreamland between the elves and the humans, then why were the mermaids there? How did it serve the mermaids' interests? And what side were the mermaids on? I have been wondering for quite a while now: whatever happened to all of the mermen?? (Did they die out for some reason? Did they decide to live somewhere other than Mermaid Island?) 🤔 We have not seen any mermen in the present day, but I was honestly really surprised that we did not see any mermen fighting in the Dreamland battle.
Remember how Mora said the mermaid from the "Big Flipper" constellation died in the "Battle of Falling Water"? What if that "falling water" was the Dreamland's waterfall, thus the exact battle that Bean found the traces of in Chapter 4?
They hint pretty heavily that the mermaid Bean finds in the battle remains with the dagger that causes the flashback is the same mermaid from the constellation. It's also the same mermaid in the stained glass window that Mora smashes to save Bean. There seems to be hints that Bean and Mora are the descendants of the leaders that caused the battle of falling water, so perhaps by allying themselves (and Elfo since he has ties to both the elves and ogres!) They are functionally repairing the damage the fight over Dreamland caused in the first place.
Could it be possible that Mora is actually not physically present, but from the time of the war - either entering Bean's dreams across time or by being a ghost? So her saving Bean would be dream rationalizations of other ways Bean being rescued. Maybe a Manatee mind controlled by Mora. These time shenanigans could lead into Bean or her Powers being present in the past roo. My theory is that something in Dreamland weakens the barriers of dreams, so that it's easier to enter them from outside by other people with a connection to the dreamer.
My theory is that the powers actually come from the Og line, but with two caveats. The first is that it is only present in the heiresses. The second is that Dagmar can somehow access the magic when she is near Bean because they are mother daughter. Both times Dagmar used the same powers as bean, it was when she was in close proximity, and connected to Bean in one way or another. This also could explain why those pages were ripped out of the book of rulers. Some could secretly have been women with powers. It also explains why Dagmar would want to have a child with Zog.
@@Johnny2Cellos It would give an alternate explanation for how Miri could have magic aside from possible elven ancestry. Either way, it could be argued that the Og line has high potential for magic, but the type is different depending on the person's ancestry. For example, if they have elven ancestry they could have high potential for enchantments and charms, and if they had distant demonic ancestry they could use something more offensive, like black lightning. It makes me wonder about the title; disenchantment. Also, thanks for the reply!
@@coolspace3078 It requires a little bit of adjustment, but let’s say that the heiresses of the Og line have high potential for magic. Let’s think of this as them being able to do more and more complex magic. At very least, we can use Becky’s use of the black lightning as confirmation that it is demonic in nature, she did use it to force Luci to possess Bean. At most, her use was momentary mind control, and potentially just communicating to Luci that he should possess Bean to save himself. This is still on a far smaller scale than Bean’s Lightning. So rather than the Lightning itself being tied to The Og’s, but the Og lineage is still relevant. Though this may just be my attempt to recover an incorrect theory
"when it feels like just a dream, believe its true. Because I do" I have been so captivated by Mora lately. Rewatching every episode with her, and especially Last Splash. I can't stop thinking about her love song which honestly foreshadows so much that has either happened in later episodes or probably will happen in the future. This lyric above syncs up pretty nicely with your theory, the dreams are real to Mora. She even talks about "the battle of falling water" and then next season we find a legendary mermaid warrior's corpse behind dreamland's waterfall. Also "when there's a war on some not so distant shore" really pushes the fact there will be a war on dreamland at some point.
If you play the song the second Bean starts drowning & keep playing the audio from that scene all the way to when Mora jumps back into the ocean after kissing Bean, the audio matches up PERFECTLY. “They say that you’re a drowner” Obviously Bean has just started to drown “& we’re parted by the sea” It cuts to the ship At the end of “& some day if there’s a war on some not so distant shore”, it cuts to the window with the mermaid who fought in the war “& I am always on your side” Mora bursts through the window during this line. I think the window smashes as “always” Then later, when Mora kisses Bean for the second time before leaving, if you kept playing the audio from that scene, it matches up with their second kiss on Mermaid Island, as in the iconic one with the back view. It may be easier for the latter to switch to the VISUALS of that scene & add the audio from What To Expect When You’re Expecting Parasites since that one has a much more audible kiss but I discovered this two days ago & actually put them together yesterday & I’m mind blown (& I love this show now more than I ever did which is saying a lot)
I feel like the secret to break the curse has to have something to do with mermaids, specifically loving/falling in love with one, it can't be a coincidence Mora, all the iconography throughout the castle, the magic flashback and zog first crush
Something I noticed today: the Maru symbol looks like a lock / key hole and Orval’s secret society has a key as their symbol. So maybe there is a connection between the 2 groups.
i think dagmar doesn't actually posses the same set of powers as bean, i think she cann mimic other ppls powers like rogue. the only times we've seen Dagmar use one of beans powers is when theyve been touchinng, except for dream communication which seems to be much more common and Dagmar proobably has that legitimately. Dagmar had to get bean to touch her in order to use her lightning to teleport out, otherwise she wouldn't have waited to do so.
Bean having abilities involving electricity and being with Mora, a mermaid who lives in the water...this could be a dangerous combination. Personally, I hope it works out for them!!! 😊
Any thoughts or theories on how the pointed crown plays a role in all of this? I'm especially confused on why Dagmar, Cloyde and Becky tried putting it on Jerry's head
I really love how Disechantment isn't obvious in revealing Bean's powers, it makes her story much more intriguing. I wouldn't care that much about another show about a superhero where we know everything about it from the first few episodes.
Man I love this show. The first season came out when I was stuck in a really ugly episode of depression, and the recurring new season almost every year brings back the old "diversion vibes" for me
Bean's powers are so awesome! and i just know that they'll play an even bigger role in part 5! and as for Mora and the dream thing well, i think you might be onto something with that Johnny it could be possible that Mora has a special power that allows her to communicate with and sense certain people (specifically Bean) through their dreams.
The first time we actually see the lightning powers is from Aunt Becky (who I'm still convinced was the one who sold Freckles to Zog and Bean). In 1x3, The Princess of Darkness, Big Joe comes to exorcise Luci. Cloyd and Becky are watching through the fire, and Becky zaps it to order Luci to hide.
I think that Dagmar (and Mora) invading Bean's dreams is potentially a misdirect in the story and it is actually another power of Bean's that she is unaware of. This power in particular I would think is more tied to the "og" line because of the explanation that the latent power of dreamland makes dreams more powerful. It would make sense though for Bean to actually be the one calling out to others when she is feeling a particularly strong longing or misses someone strongly. In the episode where Dagmar is invading Bean's dreams one of the major themes of the episode is that Bean and Zog have to work through their emotional baggage in relation to Dagmar and come to terms with her betrayal. It would make sense for Bean to struggle with admitting that she still wants to have her mom in the way she'd imagined that she would be. Dagmar just uses it to her advantage, as well as seeing it as proof that Bean can still be manipulated by false affection. Mora's appearances in Bean's dreams, particularly coming when Bean has been knocked unconscious actually make more sense originating with Bean as there is no reason to assume that Mora is asleep or has any reason to know what is going on with Bean without being informed in some way. It could just be something in Mermaid culture that she is able to recognize the visions as magical, and it gives a reason for her to be conscious enough to actually swim to the rescue when Bean is drowning.
Emotions serve as a conduit for Bean's powers, but my guess is that there is a singular energy source within dreamland that she has some kind of access to.
I'm so glad we got two videos! Your Disenchantment content is by far the best on the platform, every year you make discoveries and connections that make so much sense but that I never would have noticed myself, here's hoping for a part 5 that builds on these mysteries I'm starting to notice an overarching symmetry with this show, with Bean potentially being a uniting point. On one hand you have Luci as her connection to the mysteries surrounding Dagmar, Hell, Steamland, and on the other she has Elfo with that connection to Zog, the ancient Elven kingdom, and mermaids apparently - I wonder if this has anything to do with the Trog prophecy and how the three of them together are the saviour?
I have yet another theory... The blond female knight that saves the day in parts 2 and 3 is related to Ursula. Her shield is golden with a bee on it. And since the part 4 relocated the key characters into Steamland, I expect some family reunion at the beggining of part 5.
I like the dream theory, but I think its different than that. We don't know much about mermaids, for all we know, they can form physical attachments when they live someone, allowing them to feel their emotions. It could explain why &/or how Mora always knows when Bean is in danger. This also explains her dream when Mora tells Bean to wake up. Mora, using the link between her and Bean, talks to Bean. It doesn't even have to be mermaid magic, just typical old magic. Its obviously not that hard to learn simple spells, and while creating a tether between two souls wouldn't be an easy task, I feel like it could be learned by Mora or other mermaids
I would love it if you could do a plot recap of Parts 1-4 before Part 5 comes out. I forget so many details of this show between releases but I don’t really have time to rewatch it before the new episodes come out. You know so much and I feel like you’d provide a really valuable recap.
Ok so I have a wild theory: what if Bean bringing Elfo and Luci back to life isn’t just repetitive writing/foreshadowing her healing powers? What if specifically resurrecting each of them actually has a significance? Like what if she leaves some sort of mark of her powers behind on people she brings back to life using her abilities, and that metaphorical mark, whatever it is is something she also just innately has because the powers are hers, and that’s what makes the three of them chosen ones for the Ogs is this ability or whatever that they now share?
Poor Bean isn't going to remember much when she's older with all the head trauma she's had. I've had some bad hits to the head and can't remember almost anything that happened longer than 3 years ago without someone bring it up and starting to describing it.
I do have a theory of my own regarding Bean’s powers, it feels like a bit of a stretch, especially since it skirts around Dagmar seeming to use the powers on occasion, but I think it still kind of works. The “curse” put on the rulership of Dreamland is something that’s been brought up a lot, but we don’t know much about it other than it seems to relate to the names of the kings; Agøg through to Xøg, Yøg and Zøg, which of course reminds us of the Trøgs who live beneath Dreamland - and we know that Trøgs and Elves are one and the same. We also saw the lightning magic being used in the flashback to humans taking Dreamland from the elves. I feel like we might learn that Trøgs are not the ‘mutated’ versions of Elves, but perhaps the other way around - that maybe humans used some kind of magic, or possibly ‘The Sacred Goo’ to transform the Trøgs into happy little elves who would be much more at home making candy and singing in the middle of the forest than fighting, thus making them a lot easier to beat in combat, and subsequently much easier to take a castle from, which they do with the help of lightning magic held by their ruler. The surviving Trøgs then put a curse on the Grunkowitz family line for the next 26 heirs to the throne that would suppress their generational magic abilities. How Dagmar fits into that I’m not entirely certain, but since Maru’s deal with Hell is in some way tied with a prophecy… If Dagmar found out the Grunkowitz line was about to start bearing powerful magic again, she’d probably want to try to utilize that, either to meet Hell’s deal, or in some way turn it around to benefit herself. I suppose it could be a little bit of both with your theory - that Maru is, like you suggested, is trying to reincarnate a former ruler and is using the ending of the Grunkowitz curse to help ensure that happens? Maybe lightning magic belongs to Zøg’s ancestors and healing magic to Dagmar’s?
Since Disenchantment seems to be roughly based on slightly before Victorian era Europe... I think we can expect all the kings and queens to be related... King Brock is one of a very few characters with red hair, as does Zog... I think it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume they might be related... Miri and Grogda have very similar hair colour... The mermaid warrior has red hair... Plus Mora's love song kinda spell a lot out... Also, interestingly, Mora is the only character with blue hair, which might become important at some point
I, for one, love these videos. As I've only watched the series once, a recap of seasons 1 thru 4 with your analysis and predictions would be awesome. Hope this gives you that wild inspiration.😀
The part about Mora is interesting but I think it lingered on bean because in the window behind her you see the mermaid she later sees in that vision with the electricity. And I think that the mermaid in the stars that Mora talks about is-or looks like that same mermaid. I kind of think that bean could be the reincarnation of her ancestor but I also think Mora is the reincarnation of that star mermaid, and that both figures from the past had a deep history- maybe were in love. Besides those references, she does also give her a necklace with a golden star.
So this made me wonder if Dagmar has any of her own powers. Have we seen her do magic without Bean? It kind of seems like Dagmar understands how to harness Bean's powers, but she might not have any herself. Why did she need Bean's powers to free her when she was tied up by the Trogs? Why not just teleport away herself? Maybe she can't.
10:18 good point, I wouldn't believe Elva to be an evil or malicious person. It seems that he genuinely wants to harness Magic for Good. Plus he watches TV with popcorn in his free time, seeing as he did that in part 4 😂😂😂
As interesting as dream traveling mermaids are I’m still curious of the meaning of beans boot(s). They’re such a small yet big part and are mentioned again and again and sometimes focused on. She lost one that was lucky and one got stuck on (how? idk) and at least twice she refused more formal shoes presented to her on special occasions in favour of her own boots.
Season 2 episode 10 if you slow it down all the way you can see dagmars face in the burst of flames right before they fall and I think it's cool how such small details like that are added
Thanks for making these videos. I like disenchantment but the breaks between seasons mean I miss of lot of the details. Your theories and breakdowns are helping keep the pieces together and keep me excited for the next batch of eps
I WANT the show to have this level of planning and depth and interconnected plotlines and story beats. But because the comedy has never really done it for me, I think I've just kind of developed this flat opinion of the show that the writing in general isn't that great, which makes me worry a lot of these cool ideas you've put forward are just coincidences and lazy writing. And that might be unfair. I feel like if we do get reveals like this, it'll elevate the show, not only in presenting this intriguing web of plot, but giving the show infinitely more rewatch value, since you'd be able to put the pieces together. So I guess what I'm saying is, Netflix needs to hire Johnny, if not as showrunner then at least as a staff writer.
Matt groening is kinda known for throwing in Bs and red herrings but also has multi year long plots developed... hopefully Netflix doesn't fuck with it
Prediction for Part 5 Episode 1: Most of the episode will revolve around Elfo, Luci and Miri the Mop Girl escaping from Dreamland castle. Dagmar will send demons from hell to try and stop them whilst trying to resurrect Bad Bean. The episode will end with Elfo and Luci wondering where the real Bean is and then cut to Bean and Mora cuddling on a beach of Mermaid Island and relating the line about a shooting star.
Going off of your previous theory about Unity being the solution; I think the Meruvian prophecy is about combining all forms of power into one entity. Thats why Dagmar married into Dreamland so her child would have the magic. And thats why shes okay with the head, it should contain the same magic, as it is from her. Dreamland Magic from the elves, Human Magic fron Maru, Infernal Magic from Hell. I feel like the Goo may add a fourth power source that will help stop the maruvian prophecy.
Dagmar is her evil dream-twin. This would explain why Zog remembered her as kind and caring for most of their marriage, and how Bean turned out kind too.
hmm, i kinda want to point your attention to the mysterious dagmar-looking lady in the puppet shop. i forget what episode that was specifically but i was really interested by it since it seems it still has no explanation
@@arttrixmix7178 Yeah that was a dumb choice, if THAT BusinessWoman isn't related to Dagmar, maybe just slipped that design in by accident. Still don't see how it wouldn't be Dagmar.
Take it a step further like game theory! AND WHO ELSE do we know that has magical powers controlled by her emotions? THATS RIGHT EVERYONE. Bean is none other than Super Princess Peach for the Nintendo DS. But that's just a theory... lolol
If her mom used Bean’s lightning to teleport her self; doesn’t that mean the time we saw her healing Bean, she could have just been utilizing Bean’s power once again rather than using her own?
3:26 if you do recall when bean first went to Maru , she was scratched by an old crazy lady that we will see again in part 5 , at the middle of the night she went back to aunt Becky and uncle Cloyd place and dagmar healed her scare the same way bean did for zøg
I have a theory: so i think youre right that the person in the painting isnt bean and that bean is the reincarnation of the ancient ancestor but i also think the “bad bean” from beans dream IS the ancient bean trying to take over and that is how dagmar knew about her and wanted to help her so its more adding to what you say in the video but i still thought id comment about it
srsly in awe of your theories!! I look forward to every Disenchantment vid from you, good stuff always blows my mind lol it's easy to forget a lot of these details!
Theory: what if Bean’s electrical powers are in direct opposition to Steamland and will threaten everything they’ve achieved? In our own history, electricity replaced steam and in the scene with the robots we can see how just one outburst from Bean is enough to over-power all of Steamland. Could this be viewed as a threat to Steamland? Or wished to be harnessed for their own purposes of powering an entire city?
Here's my theory that the lost land of cremorra is where the deal with the devil began for beans moms side of the family. If you remember her families land had nice for currency and suffered from cremorras snake currency. I tied this together because the people were turned to stone just like dream lands people. That would be the debt they owe yo the devil. I think maybe freckles was a citizen of the lost city and was curst by beans ancestors. Now there are a few things I'd love for yall to look at in the beginning in the stain glass windows and tappristy. I think it's the stages of beans growth to power and has deeper meaning. The tree emblem is the tree if life from the ogers land where maybe that's where the humans were originally at before taking over dreamland? There is the squid monster on one of them, a mermaid, a swirl which is in her moms castle to, and a seagull (not sure what that's for) idk if this guy mentioned any of this but I love his videos! I love the dream traveling part that's amazing. What do you guys think
You are so good! I just discovered these and they have introduced us to a whole new series basically. Literally these videos help us all enjoy the series so much more! And most of your theories are already confirmed too!!! Pls do more, either about individual chacters or storylines like the one with Mora you briefly mention here. Man im excited.
I really wanna see a video about Chazz, I don't know for sure but I feel like they dropped alot of hints that chazz could be oonas and Yogs baby before Yog was poisoned
Another detail that hit me was that both times Moira shows up, Dagmar is around or mentioned. Bean is desperate to not drown and is calling out to anyone that can save her including Dagmar. The next time we see Moira is when Dagmar tosses her over the balcony. I'm not saying that Dagmar actually cares about Bean, but I do think she can't have her die just yet. I mean she's been around every corner making sure she has access to Bean, but she'll toss her into the ocean in lieu of a decapitated head? Wouldn't she need Bean alive for whatever she's been planning? I mean if it was that easy why bother? Why not just save the stress and decapitate her the second she showed defiance?
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned or if anyones noticed it, but I started rewatching and in episode 1, when Bean is being dragged through the town about 3 minutes in, there’s the elf symbol (the swirl that was behind the secret elf throne under dreamland) on a wall, it also appears LOADS in the church where Bean is getting married. Also, there’s is lots of sea themed decor in the castle. In the throne room, the window behind the throne has a fish, a seahorse (and also a tree that reminds me of the trees the elves live in- this tree is like the symbol of dreamland, it’s on all the tapestries and uniforms, etc…). There’s 2 tapestries next to the entrance to the throne room (we see these just over 5 minutes into episode 1) the first tapestry has king Zog as a merman(this also appears in other tapestries in other parts of the castle) and the second has an octopus and a fish-creature hybrid. On the vertical support beams that hold up the throne room (I forgot what they’re called) there is fish at the top, we also see this in Beans room as well as seashells hanging as decorations. This might be nothing but it’s interesting, considering all the connections between kingdoms and the mermaids and sea trogs and stuff. I’m looking for more things as I’ve only just started rewatching but maybe this means something for season 5??? Edit: another main symbol of dreamland is a sun which looks like it has tentacles coming off it or something?? ( there’s also other tentacle decorations which I think are linked to Dereks octopus friend- I feel like that will come back to play a more important role as there is also a sign in episode 1 26:17 that says “kraken barrel” as well as other octopus themed things) but the top “tentacle” of the sun also looks like the elf swirl symbol. This could be a connection to the elves that used to live there?? Also at 26.04, as Bean is running you can just see the symbol again but with lines coming off it. To me, it looked like magic or something being emitted by it and in the church there was- what looked like- a wooden staff carved in the same symbol so maybe it’s a magic weapon that older elves used??
My theory with Bean's powers is that the healing came from Zog's side and the electric powers from Dagmar. The only other creatures with any form of healing on the scale of Bean is the Elves; and if the previous theory of Bean having Elf or Trog in her family line is true, then this could explain how she got them. Similarly, Bean's scratches could have been healed by Bean and she not realize it because she was very emotional in that moment - and as manipulative as Dagmar is shown to be, I would believe her to have planned on this to further gaslight Bean. With the lightning powers, I do think they came from Dagmar's side (as we see Becky use them in season 1) but I don't think Dagmar has the same powers. We only see Dagmar with these powers when Bean is near; and if she could do the same things as Bean then it really begs the question of why Dagmar would need Bean or Dreamland/Zog's line. Plus, the most magical things we see Dagmar do herself is fairly physical (like potion brewing). Idk I just think it could be interesting that Bean is the only one from their family with everything they need in one for their plans.
The reason Zog was so sick and hurt was not because of the bullet it was because of the "Medicine" enacted by Scorcerio including putting rats on him and purposely infecting the wound.
I loved the video but Luci's next line after he gets "revived" by the tear is something like "no you're tear didn't do that bean it just annoyed me into waking up" so maybe 3 times she has used her power.
I feel like they are doing stuff for the "cool factor" and in the end there will be a lot of unanswered questions and plot holes. Story doesnt seem cohesive to me. It is hella fun tho
Somehow I keep thinking of an old game called Technomage where the main character is a Steamerdreamer, a child of two worlds. One with magic and one with technology.
When the devil is shown in the mirror we see a very different reflection than what we see. I think it's possible it isn't the real devil, it might be a imposter for some reason
This show really took a cue from charmed: power emanating from emotions means that a persons mental state is their strength and weakness. Break the emotional bond and you strip the witch of her powers. I think Dagmar will use this to her advantage in part 5.
I think what also REALLY caught my attention was both Dagmar and Zog said when Bean was "caught" having those dreams/confessions about Mora, "It runs in the family" what if at one point Beans Distant relatives had relations with a mermaid? Just a wild theory
What if the lightning stuff is evil power borrowed/learned from Hell as part of the contract with Meru? Steamland could be in the dark on that, too, and just think it's Dreamland's magic. Also, what if Bean's healing magic is actually a result of the Og line having children with mermaids? It seems tied to Bean's tears/sweat/saliva in addition to her emotions, based on the healing she's done to Zog, Luci, and possibly Elfo. Kind of like how they needed some Elf blood in season 1 to revive Dagmar. And then related to that... what if Dagmar knew about the Og family/mermaid connections in the past and the powers it produced (given that the Meruvians can seemingly watch almost anything through their magic flames) and schemed to marry Zog so she could give birth to a child with both sets of powers, amplified by the magic of Dreamland? The contract with Hell also states that The Devil is to marry the "Queen of Dreamland" on the paper not a specific person, so Bean was a means to an end for fulfilling that contract and maybe creating an even more powerful magical bloodline. To go on a D&D alignment thing, maybe Hell is like Lawful Evil, and the Meruvians are Chaotic Evil, which is also why the devil's so unhappy that he married Dagmar. I mean, aside from the joke that Dagmar's too awful for even the devil.
Thank you for sharing such insightful commentary and hypotheses. I was led here by posts made on the Disenchantment subreddit and I can see now that they were right in recommending your videos. Will you also speculate on the viability of the relationship between Mora and Bean? My heart sings whenever I see them together and I desperately hope that their union will not be a tragic one. (BTW, I liked and subscribed! Please keep making more great content. Disenchantment doesn't seem to be as popular as the Simpsons and Futurama and I don't know why.)
We Never actually saw the bullet being removed from zog. She almost gets it out and is then interrupted. She didn't get the bullet out. Which makes the powers even more likely to have been used there.
Dude... if the show follows your theories, not only I will give this show a second chance, It will come back to be one of my favorites shows I am really scared about the relationship of this show, especially since they keep joking/hitting an ElfoxBean relationship, while making us know Bean is in love with Mora. And season 4 let me down on the jokes an d story alike, but I have hope they will do something similar, or just like what you are predicting. Also, now that you are mentioning how Mora only show up when Bean is unconscious... could it be possible Mora isnt really real? Because they travel through dreams, and make connections, but so they can interact in the real world, they need a body or a physical form... could it be Mora was Bean' ancestor lover, and she was killed in the past? And her connection to Bean only happens when she isn't conscious because of it? Meh, probably not. That is really jumping the shark... bit idk, might have potential
Dude, are you kidding me it's like you are the only one on the internet constantly posting amazing videos about Disenchantment. Please do not think you are posting too much about it, it's actually the reason I subscribed & check your channel every other day. Do go on.
I have some stuff for you for another BATTLE video: 🔥
1. "The very thing"
What is it exactly? I don't think it's just the goo. How was the goo created? If it was created (by trogs?) after the elves lost the battle - then the elves shouldn't know about it. Was it there before? If electricity was there, why the battle needed to be fought?
2. Reasons for Battle
Why did the battle was originally fought? Someone already used electricity during the battle... so electricity isn't probably it. Did the humans need space for living? Where did humans come from then?
3. Mermaid in the Battle
Why did the mermaids join the elves?
4. The Curse of Ogs
99% sure the curse wasn't casted by the elves who are like babies. That's some dark magic. Did they get in contact with the Hell? Is that the reason they needed to hide Elfwood in the woods not to pay the debt?
In the very first episode of the show, everyone in Dreamland was surprised to see an Elf. Except Luci. Just saying.
5. Sea Trogs
If the Elves and Mermaids lived together, and Trogs come from the Elves... The sea Trogs are biproduct of the Elves mating with Mermaids who drunk the goo.
6. Oona's Piracy and Cremorrah
"Mommy has to go to work".
I also noticed the destination on the airship that was labeled "New Cremorrah" - that was crazy! Do you think we will ever see this place? I do not think it is likely, but I hope so. 🤞
I would also like to know a lot more about the battle that was fought over Dreamland.
Ikr!
So interesting
same, if more people did this they 100% like it more.
Of course he's the only one. The show is garbage.
Remember how Mora said the mermaid from the "Big Flipper" constellation died in the "Battle of Falling Water"? What if that "falling water" was the Dreamland's waterfall, thus the exact battle that Bean found the traces of in Chapter 4?
I think that's definitely what it is!
@@changelingiris9409 No she is literally on display for all of Steamland to see.
Good theory! And potentially lines up with my Mop Girl theory 😈
Yess when I saw the video of freckles that dagmar only kept Bean and not the twin brother , I thought maybe that’s why the crown didn’t work on jerry
"when it feels like just a dream, believe its true. Because I do"
I have been so captivated by Mora lately.
To boot it all, do we remember that the kingdom is called "Dreamland"? It might be highly related with the curse and the place's magic.
If you play the song the second Bean starts drowning & keep playing the audio from that scene all the way to when Mora jumps back into the ocean after kissing Bean, the audio matches up PERFECTLY.
“They say that you’re a drowner”
Obviously Bean has just started to drown
“& we’re parted by the sea”
It cuts to the ship
At the end of “& some day if there’s a war on some not so distant shore”, it cuts to the window with the mermaid who fought in the war
“& I am always on your side”
Mora bursts through the window during this line. I think the window smashes as “always”
Then later, when Mora kisses Bean for the second time before leaving, if you kept playing the audio from that scene, it matches up with their second kiss on Mermaid Island, as in the iconic one with the back view.
@@kp12_art Whoa that is is crazy! I am going to have to try that for myself. I mean something that perfectly timed can't be a coincidence right?
@@DarkFlareGC yeah!! That’s exactly what I thought!
But there was a war
Me too! I ship them so much and they deserve happiness. Disenchantment writers have mercy on my fragile heart 😭
Bean:”Where is⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️Aaaaaaagh!”
Never get tired of Johnny's Disenchantment videos !
Same, Bender!
Noooo rip the disenchantment videos😩😩 Love your channel keep it up and hopefully you change your mind about the disenchantment videos
Any thoughts or theories on how the pointed crown plays a role in all of this? I'm especially confused on why Dagmar, Cloyde and Becky tried putting it on Jerry's head
Eh🤷♀️
I really love how Disechantment isn't obvious in revealing Bean's powers, it makes her story much more intriguing. I wouldn't care that much about another show about a superhero where we know everything about it from the first few episodes.
It is great and everything but it could've been better if they show a little bit of history, its already s4 and we didn't know anything
I love the mora theory. Can’t wait to see what part 5 has to say.
Oh you’re right! I forgot about that, seems to be Maruvian for sure then
I think that Dagmar (and Mora) invading Bean's dreams is potentially a misdirect in the story and it is actually another power of Bean's that she is unaware of.
Your Disenchantment content is by far the best on the platform, every year you make discoveries and connections that make so much sense but that I never would have noticed myself, here's hoping for a part 5 that builds on these mysteries
I'm starting to notice an overarching symmetry with this show, with Bean potentially being a uniting point.
You make really solid Disenchantment videos and its great too bc not a whole lot of people are talking about it so thank you!
I would love it if you could do a plot recap of Parts 1-4 before Part 5 comes out. I forget so many details of this show between releases but I don’t really have time to rewatch it before the new episodes come out. You know so much and I feel like you’d provide a really valuable recap.
You have the most amazing Futurama and Disenchantment content! I love your videos!!
Thank you!
I'm pretty sure "bad bean" is the reincarnation of the original ruler with magic, and bean is the gate way for her to be reborn
Kepp the Disenchantment videos coming, the show has so many mysteries and is absolutely worth talking about in depth
I started watching Disenchantment because of your analyses of the show (and I absolutely love it!). I loved your videos on Bojack.
I hope you are struck with some wild inspiration because I love these videos and I think you're a GENIUS!!!
It lingered for a VERY long time
You really need to look into the Dagmar/Mirror Dagmar theory! Have you ever noticed how Dagmar never has a reflection?
Your theories are always so on point I’m convinced you’re secretly writing for the show lol
I'm curious if Guci was the one talking to Bean through Luci's head while his soul was on its way back down.
I think it's a comfort thing for Bean and maybe symbolic of her adventurous personality.
Season 2 episode 10 if you slow it down all the way you can see dagmars face in the burst of flames right before they fall and I think it's cool how such small details like that are added
This was really interesting. I missed a lot of these details. It'll be cool to see what the show actually does with this.
Matt groening is kinda known for throwing in Bs and red herrings but also has multi year long plots developed... hopefully Netflix doesn't fuck with it
Prediction for Part 5 Episode 1:
Most of the episode will revolve around Elfo, Luci and Miri the Mop Girl escaping from Dreamland castle.
Do as many theory episodes as you like! These are great!
My personal theory is that Bean is the daughter of palpatine
Take it a step further like game theory! AND WHO ELSE do we know that has magical powers controlled by her emotions? THATS RIGHT EVERYONE. Bean is none other than Super Princess Peach for the Nintendo DS. But that's just a theory... lolol
The mora one
Fucked me up, it hit me like a truck
I'm absolutely behind that because it makes SO MUCH SENSE
If her mom used Bean’s lightning to teleport her self; doesn’t that mean the time we saw her healing Bean, she could have just been utilizing Bean’s power once again rather than using her own?
Definitely possible!
3:26 if you do recall when bean first went to Maru , she was scratched by an old crazy lady that we will see again in part 5 , at the middle of the night she went back to aunt Becky and uncle Cloyd place and dagmar healed her scare the same way bean did for zøg
I have a theory: so i think youre right that the person in the painting isnt bean and that bean is the reincarnation of the ancient ancestor but i also think the “bad bean” from beans dream IS the ancient bean trying to take over and that is how dagmar knew about her and wanted to help her so its more adding to what you say in the video but i still thought id comment about it
I'm actually wondering why this show is called "Disenchantment". Any takes (or official explanations) on this?
Dunno if you mentioned it but Dagmar also healed beans scratches the same way bean healed zogs.
Honestly dude u need to demand a paycheck cuz im pretty sure the staff is taking ur theories and weaving them into the show realtime haha
srsly in awe of your theories!! I look forward to every Disenchantment vid from you, good stuff always blows my mind lol it's easy to forget a lot of these details!
love these videos on disenchantment! thanks for the great content!
I appreciate you doing these! Can't wait for more after season 5
I hope you managed to find that scene about Zog mentioning God having a brother (God 1 and God 2)
4:43 lmfao forgot how Zøg literally chews on Elfos hand
beans tears are what keep the heads in futurama alive
Great job, man. Really interesting videos! 👍
Luci’s soul was literally in heaven when his body revived. He was just being an asshole, it was definitely healing
I mean yeah you've got that right he is an arsehole just an especially funny one
I feel like they are doing stuff for the "cool factor" and in the end there will be a lot of unanswered questions and plot holes. Story doesnt seem cohesive to me. It is hella fun tho
Nah, the more I dig into stuff the more connections I find. I’m sure there will be some unanswered questions, but this show is very deliberate
Johnny’s outro is the best around
Somehow I keep thinking of an old game called Technomage where the main character is a Steamerdreamer, a child of two worlds. One with magic and one with technology.
That all made sense really well and you tied it in pretty f****** well. Good job glad I found this video💪
Bean performs both white magic, and black magic. She even wields a few weapons (poorly).
So she's a Red Mage; confirmed.
When the devil is shown in the mirror we see a very different reflection than what we see. I think it's possible it isn't the real devil, it might be a imposter for some reason
Your videos heal my soul. Thank you for taking the time to post for us. You're my favorite creator 💕 king
Can you do a updated mop girl theory video, with new evidence from part 4?
This show really took a cue from charmed: power emanating from emotions means that a persons mental state is their strength and weakness. Break the emotional bond and you strip the witch of her powers. I think Dagmar will use this to her advantage in part 5.
I think what also REALLY caught my attention was both Dagmar and Zog said when Bean was "caught" having those dreams/confessions about Mora, "It runs in the family" what if at one point Beans Distant relatives had relations with a mermaid? Just a wild theory
@8:04 anyone else thinking bad bean is going to be the ‘spirit’ of the ancestor?
I want more disenchantment videos please
I love this channel, it's really funny, I love it, it's a good cartoon...
I think there will be time travel in the near future in Disenchantment.
I think Mora is related to Dangmar, but even in love with Bean
Please do more Disenchantment videos
Your theories have been so good, I hope you come up with more
The fact that Miri actually become queen 😅
Lots of cool ideas here!
We need more disenchantment videos
Dagmar has one freckle.
Freckles has two.
Bean has 3.
The castle roof design strikes again.
“Hi! I’m Elfo!”
I can't believe it dude, I think I watched the whole series with an empty brain. I've been enlightened thanks to you😂😂 😱😱😱😱
Thank you for sharing such insightful commentary and hypotheses.
Dude... if the show follows your theories, not only I will give this show a second chance, It will come back to be one of my favorites shows
I am really scared about the relationship of this show, especially since they keep joking/hitting an ElfoxBean relationship, while making us know Bean is in love with Mora.
Im up for more disenchantment stuff though!
Heres one more video you can do. You never adressed the clues in the underwater dreamland castle. Youre welcome.
