Hello!
In the original there is also a rhytm pattent added to chords, but it just didn't sound good when i was playing it, so i'm posting naked chords.
Hope this will help You in any way!
Cheers friends!
On the rick? Is this legal?
Actually i recently found out it is illegal and my neighbour called the cops, i had to give the bass to them and pay 10 000 zł :(
Huh?
Probably, but it sound really good
@@erindonut rickenbacker, unusual bass to do this on.
@@OskarSvanthanks for explaining lol!
Tbh bass chords are underated
Bass is inherently low and thus chords often sound muddy if not being high. Also bass can't recreate some rich chords colors with only four strings. They are not that popular for resons.
@@giocoso4576 I agree with you but don't you just love it how clean it sounds when you actually do it right? Not as much options like other instruments but it sounds so clean to me
@@lepolvoronn1112 yeah sure. I love how fragile and delicate bass chords can sound
true. bass is underated soo much anyway
@@giocoso4576 You must be fun at parties....
Easily the most beautiful and melodic bass song I've ever heard, still to this day. Thank you for this.

Took me two full days to learn it but I did it and even learned how to add ghost notes in the process. Thanks so much for the tabs man I love this song so much!
1:07 second part, second bar after 12 - 12 - 14 the tab has a mistake, he play 12 - 12 -13 NOT 12 -14 -13
again but in english this time please?
jk tho but this comment is confusing... how is it played ?
you are correct
Cool Man
I use Line 6 Ux-1 device and Pod Farm 2 to record, and the audio goes straight to Cubase 3 where I sometimes add a bit of mastering :)
Thanks a lot for Your comment and take care,
Bas Shiver
Dude, I've looking for this for months, and now that I wasn't even trying to find it, I find it, THANKS EVEN IF THIS IS 5 YEARS OLD
Same but 10 years old now 😂
As someone who's transitioned from reading tabs to reading notation, I can say that there are many benefits to reading notation (and knowing how to sight read it).
- Notation is universal for all instruments, the only instrument that can read tabs is guitar.
- It gives you a better sense of scales and keys, thus increasing your knowledge of melody and making you a better improviser.
- It allows you to play the same thing anywhere on the neck, making you more versatile as a player.
Just in case anyone didn't realize (because this took me a while to figure out) you play all through the last line once then you do it again but instead of going all the way through you stop after you play G 13 and D 14 twice
I appreciate this. I'm just starting to explore the use of chords on the bass and this was very helpful.. Very pretty as well... Thanks Again
Rob
Hello!
I'm really glad it helped You, cheer your guitar teacher from me :)
However, i don't think tabs are something not as good as notation. Many people say that tabs are for idiots (like music teacher in a school i was in) but they are not. Only people who thinks that way are idiots, because they are close minded. Why not to use something that is much easier to read for everyone, than learning to read the notes, which i know from music school practice, takes a lot more time? :)
Take care!

Thanks!!!, I like the harmony so much!, it is so great to me that I could play those chords (I am a beginner)
honestly I could just listen to this on a loop for hours
Thanks a lot! I will always try to do my best for all of You, i promise :)
I love you so much Victor Wooten, big up

CHRIST that checkerboard! Lovely playing on a lovely Ric. Thanks for the chords! 🦗 + 🔙 + 👩🏫
pefect thanks for posting ... theres also the taps to give a rithmic effect that victor uses
No problem!
I think it is transposed, i recorded victor wooten version and the original is a little lower :)
Cheers!
Bas Shiver
One thing to note though, when victor played this he was tuned in tenor bass (A,D,G,C) instead of E,A,D,G
Didn't know that :)
this is the most beautiful bass part that I had wowwwwwwwww
Thankyou so much man, and bless you Victor Wooten for your Spirit...
Very cool. Thanks.
thanks for the tabs. I used this to transpose it on guitar because I like the way victor plays it more
You're a real legend!!!
Thanks, Great tab, now I just need to add some ghost notes to give some rhythm
Victor Wooten style
Thanks Basshiver!!! Maravilloso, formidable.
that was exactly what i was looking for. props.
That's a beautiful Rickenbacker. I love checkerboard binding
Finally a great tutorial!
I really don't know the bass, but I want to play the next part, so can you tell me how to proceed...?crying
I loved it!! One question, will you have the melodic part?
Excellent video as always!! very good job!!
It's Kasuga Rickenbacker bass copy, made in the 70' :)
Cheers!
Very good tuto thanks !
Awesome video. Very straight forward :)
You literal MVP 😎

Damn, dude I love your bass
Thanks man so beautiful
very very nice, cheers and thank you
Love it! Thanks.
Excelente trabajo 👍
Thanks bro it helped a LOT
U are so awesome, thank u for the help.
Amazing job bro ! your tutorial was really healpful :)
i remove the lower notes during the chord parts because it sounded muddy
You just need to get your tone right
Awesome dude. Thanks :)
Your efforts bere are well appreciated. Im a guy who has been playing a long time and could figure out what you are doing but since the bass is not primarily a polyphonic instrument you should pass on this instruction with the names of the chords. Youre leaving more questions for the beginning viewer than answers.
i love you for this.
DUE THANK YOU SO MUCJ FOR THIS
how the heck do you play the second chord 17-15-16 my fingers get so uncomfortable
if u play alot the second chord his playing u will get used to it
Move your arm to make your hand feel comfortable. I'm not sure if this will work but my teacher was on me how I keep my arm relaxed and my hand stressed

You did an excellent job of teaching this! My guitar teacher's gonna be pretty impressed... Although I've forgotten how to read TAB now that in the marching band, all were allowed to read is notation. I really wish people would stop reading tab and do it the right way.
Please if you watch like because he didn't have to do this big ups dude I will post everywhere
Thank you sir ! amazing
love it.
good work
Awesome! Thx m8.
Dude, thank you.
The one person to dislike this has never picked up a bass.
can someone tell me what key is this in? What scale do I need to play when I improvise over this song?
It's A major, I think
@@YanaPineReflectorium thanks! how can I understand it myself?
@@LordFrega to find a tonal center of a song, you have to listen to which note/chord sounds "at rest", on which note/chord you want to finish given song. If you listen to the chords he's playing, you may find that all other notes and chords, besides A, sound like they are leading somewhere, they want to resolve (to the tonal center, which is A)
Also, an easier way is to just look at the chord/note the music ends with. In most cases, it'll be the tonic. Hope it helps!
@@YanaPineReflectorium thank you very much! I have always followed the philosophy of "the song is in the key which sounds good with every chord of the song". I asked because I didn't know if there was an actual formula through which understand the exact key of one song, but from what I understand from your comment there isn't a scientific route to follow, or am I wrong? thanks again!
@@LordFrega I don't have a formal music edication, so I might be wrong, but in my understanding this comes down to two things: understanding theory behind this & listening. Look up functional harmony (basically, every chord has a function within a given key), and, with a bit of ear training, you'll be able to tell which chord or note serves which function in the song. Also, you'll find that many pieces of the same genre follow certain harmony, so you'll just know, by looking at a jazz standart, that the tonic (read:key) is the chord used in the 3rd bar, and in rock/pop, the tonic is the chord on which the song starts and ends. That'll be your "formula".
So Helpful for me XD thx
Hi do you have the tabs available for this in a pdf to download. this would be helpful?
Michael Stoneham there is a decent version available on guitartabs
Great !
Merci thank you
Thank you !!!
mt bom cara esse video, isso ai vlw
Might the notation be wrong in the minute 1:18? Instead of fret 14 you do fret 12. The thing is both sound well. Either a E with its mayor 3rd, or what you're actually playing there.
thanks man
Thanks man

Wow, I love this.
hey man great tutorial: but is this in the original key? (e)
this one is in the key of A :)

im pretty sure when you play the chord A-12 Its just an A power chord (correct me if im wrong, not 100% sure)
D-11
G-14
A-12 hey @bolicabolica It's an A major man, it's got the third (C#) not the fifth (E). Hope this helps!
