So many of us came to Twitter for Elon and Tesla…
Doncho Gunchev Same here
Same
I came to twitter Only for Elon
Got tired of 2nd, even 3rd hand news from websites & news outlets just from 1 Tweet. Get it directly from the man himself - that's why I joined Twitter. To my surprise, discovered an entire super awesome, supportive Tesla community there too!
My husband said I joined Twitter to stalk Elon... But now my hubby is on Twitter stalking Elon, too. Ha!
Service centers are in Texas. Texas has the most wind electric production in the country, we are the fastest growing state in Solar panels as well. Things are changing. We have a very strong dealership group. Giga Austin!!
nice!
Mobile rangers are in the UK too.
I've had some mishaps with Service, one of my sensors went out on my S. At first they said it was one in the back then it turned out to be one on the front DS. Turned out to. E the one in the wheel well, when the vehicle was returned I get home and the cover had not been put back correctly. Took my M3 to have the front HL looked at along with a few other items. When they removed my HL somehow my clear wrap came off, and the tech proceeded to remove the entire wrap from my fender. When my FSD computer was changed out one of my plastic moldings wasn't put correctly. So, there's been some things but at the end Tesla has made it right and comes thru. Even with these few mishaps I'd rather deal with these mishaps than have to take a car to a traditional service at legacy dealerships. There will always be room for improvement no doubt, but at the end everybody wants to do a good job and I understand that. Great discussion guys. 🤙🏽💯
Mobile Service works also in Switzerland. Had a Ranger fixing my headlight at home. Was great 👍
Sweet! Thanks for the info.
Love that you guys get people from different places and backgrounds. You guys are a great source of news and fun.
Thanks so much! We love doing these discussions and aim to be entertaining and educational at the same time.
Another aspect of service is the people who work at Tesla service centers and how well they enjoy their work. I've always take a bit of time to get a feeling of how these employees think about their job and the Tesla, in general.
Interestingly, with the handful of individuals I've spoken with (mobile Rangers as well as at West Los Angeles area centers, these Tesla employees seem to have a very high job satisfaction, especially for those that came from traditional auto service centers. It's obviously a good sign because issues like chaotic work environments or frustrating situations would lead to much higher employee frustration and lower job satisfaction. In the end, this means better servicing results and better customer satisfaction, and the overall trend seems to be that this is improving, though I am certain there are geographical areas where this is not yet the case.
The Mobile Service is also available in Belgium, and Holland from what I've seen.
We’ve had mobile service in the UK since 2016 - shoutout to Natty, the first Ranger!
Are they all teslas used for ranger vehicles?
Third Row Tesla every one I’ve seen (four vehicles) were all pre-facelift Model S
Nicholas Shanks glad they keep using those babies. Some I’ve heard have stealth upgrades as well. Great for the employees to enjoy.
Love how dedicated you guys are to Tesla, hopefully inspiring more people to switch to electric and renewable energies!! Great to watch.👍🏿
Thanks! That's the goal
New Third Row uploads get me hyped on a whole other level
Awesome to read this. Thanks!
I think the other reason we hear it more with Tesla is because A. Tesla is watched more, but B The biggest is that Tesla owns the service centers so any issues are then focused on the manufacturer and Tesla themselves. When you have 3rd party dealerships and servicenters there is a disconnect between the manufacturer and servicecenter. If a local dealership has service issues, it does not make big news or is not reflected on the manufacturer. People just go about their business or go to another dealership. If someone tries to complain to the manufacturer about their dealer, they do no really address them heavily or care unless it is an ongoing major problem. Manufacturers will just ignore those complaints in most cases.
sad but true
The Mobile Service is present in Germany, I think Berlin and Munich have them already... I think even the guys in Munich also do places in Austria.
Working on a high voltage electric car requires trained technicians. Just because you buy a GM, or Nissan doesn't mean your nearest dealer has one. There are a lot more Teslas being sold in the US, than other brands.
In Ontario insurance is decent. We got rear ended in a Rav4. Police report, visit collision centre call insurance which tells you which body shop to goto. Rear ending is always a not at fault claim. Even if you slam on the brakes.
Awesome episode! Actually in Europe they are already using Mobile Rangers for service. At least in Portugal where I'm based. They came a dew weeks ago to switch the cabin air filters. Awesome experience. Keep up the great work !
Mobile service in Ireland and the UK too guys. I've had them out to replace the PTC heater on Model Xs, once to my office and once to my home. Badly needed here as it's a single SC for the whole Island of Ireland. So that ranger is very busy!
And ironically it's a Ford van that he drives :)
The inconvenience of waiting indefinitely without any updates --- that's generally (or at least waaaay too often) underappreciated from the view of the service provider. From a strictly rational, solution-focused viewpoint it does make sense: Why waste time doing something that doesn't contribute to solving the problem? What it doesn't take into account though, is the experience of the customer... You can have a lot of people waiting patiently -- or even happily -- for quite a long time, if you just show them some empathy and keep them informed and/or entertained.
Mobile service is in Canada as well :)
Never met, but I just love y'all. Thanks for what you're doing! Much love from Texas!
The Mobile Service, from Tesla, is also in Norway. I think they are in a couple to several Nordic countries, as well.

Very nice show everyone and really appreciated.
Elizabeth mentioned Tesla job satisfaction and I'm thinking that must be a 180 experience from a legacy dealership. With no engine, oil, coolant, exhaust or belts to deal with, going to work in the garage of a dealership takes on a different meaning. entirely.
I don't have my M3 yet but soon.....soon!
Just went thru a week of stock correction that people were predicting. A bit of trauma but I held strong. I suspect the bounce back is going to make history. This company has too many strong points to be in any trouble.
Wall Street analysts continued to show that they don't YET understand Tesla. It boggles the mind!
Saw a story about the Musk family in the Daily News this week. A story of which I was unfamiliar.....wow, such an impressive family.
Just a thought Cybertruck pre-production units once they have been used to check for quality and the rest, could be converted to service vehicles
I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences with both SC and mobile rangers. I do think that Tesla has an advantage as they are able, over time, predict which parts are typically replaced in certain regions depending on time of year. New England with long winters may have more corrosive parts due to the salt used. In hotter climates maybe parts that deal with HVAC are more heavily used etc. These parts can already be delivered on a schedule throughout the year.
Exactly my point. We don’t expect to pay for updates to our Phone software. Extending this we don’t expect to have to pay for our Phone software add on apps when we moved from one phone to another and get rid of the old phone. So we should be allowed if we want to do take full self driving with us to the next Tesla that we purchased.
U may consider adding a segment of your regular videos to the subject of service
Guys, one correction here, as the e-call or emergency call feature is not a Tesla thing in the first place. e-call is required in the EU since 2018 for all new cars. So in case of a crash, the vehicle sends its position, damage, etc. to a call center and you will receive a call by an agent automatically. Again, it is required and standard.
What you see as a service on top of the e-call are things like concierge services, which I personally don’t need, but which offer personal services provided by a service center through a regular voice call over the e-call infrastructure.
Thanks for the info. Is the e-call center centralized or does each manufacturer have their own?
Regarding Texas, the Service Bill was reviewed and changed, prior to voting, removing the language that would have hurt Tesla's ability to Service existing, or future Customers. We own 3 Tesla Vehicles, S3X, and between them, we've benefited from the multiple facets of Tesla's Service capabilities. We have a fully capable Mobile Ranger availability, 3rd Party Wheel and Tire Service as well as the Service Center, which is in North Austin, about 25 miles from our home (in Round Rock). We've had enjoyable experiences with our Service and it gives us a better piece of mind that if something goes wrong, we will be responded to and taken care of by Tesla's Service.
Thanks for the updated info on the service bill. I recalled there was some progress on this front. Great to know and glad you can service your Tesla there :)
A pleasure conversation to listen , so great
we appreciate your kind words Cris. Thank you
Tesla should do an ota for a clock above entertainment/arcade mode near temperature gauge. The time flies by when playing or watching.

My early Model 3 (72xx VIN) was eligible for the HW3 computer upgrade as I bought it with FSD. I scheduled it a couple weeks ago and brought in this Monday and it is scheduled to be done Tuesday. Since I'm an hour away they set me up an Uber - which was fine. Will report back on the results but I'm happy so far. Considering how thin they are spread my service interactions have been pretty good although there is often a small wait. Also I am getting notifications through the app and a status update via text from the mechanic - I think they are really trying to up their game on communication.
Quick update - repair ready next morning, I'm waiting for a copy of the invoice I electronically signed. They not only upgraded the computer hardware but also a problem with charger pins I was unaware of. All under warranty. Happy Customer here. One warning - the computer upgrade will wipe most of the setting and mileage to watt hours data which I had kept from the Model 3's birth. Wish I'd taken a snapshot of that data. Still the autopilot seems very good - improved since the upgrade, and of course cones are detected!
Great group. So positive and supportive.
Thanks Daniel :)
They should let you program your own soundtrack for the car's noise--- like a ringtone :D
sure, why not
@@ThirdRowTesla -- Because, like me, some people would record either Complete Silence, or *Def Leppard* _'Love Bites'_ as their pedestrian warning system, just as I do for ex-girlfriends on my phone.

They have Tesla Rangers and Mobile Service in Germany already - they came by to my house to install CCS on my S. That was really cool!!
Birgit Junker awesome! Thanks for the info.
Third Row Tesla You are welcome! I really, really enjoy your discussions and your channel 😃👍🏼 It is absolutely refreshing and so much better than many of the other Podcasts. You all do a great job! I drive Tesla now since March 2015 but got „infected“ in 2010 already 😅. So I am really looking forward to more great discussions from you 🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Birgit Junker haha thanks very much! Glad u got infected too. More fun discussions coming soon.🥰
This girl has always loved cars! I am actually giving up my ‘92 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo - heavily modded - when I get my Tesla. I’ll miss the five speed tho! I can’t wait to take my T to the track!!!
RRBish that’s awesome! There’s a track day this weekend with Teslacorsa.com at Buttonwillow. For manual transmission enthusiasts like us, the precision and immediate response of the gas pedal is what makes a Tesla such a joy to drive. I don’t miss changing gears.
We have the mobilservice in Sweden! :)
I think the mobile service is already working in Germany but not in Poland (next country East)
thanks for the info

2 horn sounds. An R2D2 sound to use in parking lots.
My Toyota Service experience.
2 weeks ago I went for the 6 month oil change ($140 dollars).
2 weeks later, I see the engine check light. I take it today and they tell me it's another $140 to simply diagnose.
Diagnostic result: They identified a faulty oxygen sensor (whatever that is) the cost will be $450 + labor.
They said you can repair it with us or shop around for a cheaper option.
I will need to go back on Friday.
The weird thing is that in the meantime the engine icon is not on. 🤔 So is it ok, now? Could it be that the sensor for the sensor isn't working anymore???
As Omar said, I have to pay for an overpriced oxygen sensor. Maybe the cost of that part could be $100. Who knows.
Rodolfo Yoshii it’s the sensor sensing the sensor of the sensor that’s not working. You could fix it by ordering a tesla 🤗
@@ThirdRowTesla Crap. Then it sounds like 2 issues now. Sensor monitoring the sensor issue is worse! It is giving me a false sense of security.
@@ThirdRowTesla This morning I had a grin on my face telling my significant other that we had a potentially very bad issue with the Yaris.
It might force us to get a Model 3 even if we ideally want Model Y Standard Range (not available yet).
Rodolfo Yoshii sensuously I hope it’s not too expensive and they fix it. But tesla is the way to go. Get SR model 3 now, and change to SR Y when it comes out.
@@ThirdRowTesla I know I know! I also mentioned the fact that the Model 3 has the lowest depreciation rate in the industry so no fear of leaving money on the table. So upgrading to Model Y in a year or two shouldn't hurt that much.
18:26 - Hmm.. I think the Pedestrian Speaker will be great to communicate with Robotaxi passengers on the outside too?
definitely.
its model 3 made at September 2019 or later has the outside speaker, I got mine end of September 2019 and when I reverse it makes yewyew ufo sound out the speaker.
That’s right! Does it make crop circles too? 😆
How cool! I’m about 75 miles north of SB.
Tesla owner?
I have a reservation for a Model Y!
I would like to be a guest on the show. Been a Tesla fanboy since 2018, and like to talk about it for hours lol
It is true that Tesla could create videos showing the new customers how to use their vehicle. However, it will be even better if they just compile a list of the issues, and for each one they can give a link to one of the videos on UA-cam.
Any company can creat videos or animations to promote their vehicle, also each company has people who are loyal to their brand. But none of them can find (for their brand) even a small percentage of the number of videos that Tesla fans created.
I have a feeling that some fans acquired the filmmaking knowledge because of Tesla.
My guess is all the old cars have an external speaker but they have it programmed to be a horn and Tesla is sandbagging their ability to update it for the sake of those who would like the option of no sound.
The old cars have a place for a speaker with perforations. This was discovered by Erik and posted on his youtube channel ua-cam.com/video/rqTThDlMnAU/v-deo.html
Great episode you all. It would be good if you can get James Klafehn on an interview since he is one of the few whom has had a terrible experience with Tesla service with his ModelX. The particular service center he dealt with went way out of their way to “investigate” if he lied about the tow company or did something wrong himself. I think there are going to be those types of people no matter if it is a Tesla service center or an ICE dealership. Some people just do not have much of a choice right now in choosing a service center OR have third party companies like Rich’s EG work on your car. I am pro Right To Repair And when I get my CyberTruck I want to be able to repair myself as well. Just waiting for the gauntlet to drop from Tesla on that subject. They have already started shutting off Super Charging and third party charging for rebuilt titled Tesla’s.
I'll do some research. Thanks
Another great video. 👍
Happy Hedgehog News thanks! more on the way! 😀
What sort of deductibles do you have with Tesla Insurance ? How much does the insurance cost for a Model 3 ?
Comparable to other insurance. If you have a tesla, just go to tesla.com/insurance to get a quote.
Sof, be careful saying the following phrases. There are children watching this channel. "My wife loves (as)S so much... I was going to get her 3, I really loved 3... (54:28) " :) Couldn't resist.. Love your channel.

Tesla got mobile service in the Netherlands.
I had them for changing a 12 volt batterie
Hear, hear on the 50/50 cast today! I agree that ownership is impressively diverse; it would be great to see more of that at the in-person meetups around the circuit.
Also, gotta luv the double-tap AP gesture everyone made 😁

Mobil ranger here in Norway also!

I’m in Japan and something I hear a lot here from Tesla staff is that “it is a Tesla so of course the quality is not as good as German or Japanese cars so deal with it” and dismiss quality defects. They even brag that Japanese Tesla cars are better quality than other countries because of the typical Japanese quality standards but so far they have swerved around several quality problems about my Tesla by just using the whole “ come on it is a Tesla not a bmw” analogy.
What service center do you go to?
Third Row Tesla so far I have been in contact with Osaka showroom. They are still unite decent guys but all kind of make the “it’s a Tesla after all” atmosphere around the issues. I’m set to go to the service center in a couple of weeks. Let’s see how that go.

Rainier van den Berg that was the Elon episode
How about people just going to UA-cam and search, sooo many people have done videos on most newbie issues starting in 2017, or watch the Tesla instructional video already in the car.
With UA-cam in the car now, that’s possible. However, not everything on UA-cam is 100% accurate. Perhaps Tesla could endorse some of those videos, and make them semi official

I got a real chuckle about the woman who wanted a hole in the headrest for women. She must not know that there are men with ponytails. (I did in the seventies) Crazy idea but not as crazy as someone I knew then who was a heavy drinker and used an inheritance to buy a device to mount under the dash to hold a couple of cocktails. Of course,, that did not succeed then. Maybe it was just ahead of its time.
talk about her ponytail tweet being gender biased lol
My biggest complaint is that its IMPOSSIBLE to speak to someone corporately. I've been trying for 3 months to get a billing issue resolved. No returned calls at all.
what's the issue?

Overcharged 300 on my cybertruck reservations. I reserved 5 but was charged for 8.
@@gergc4871 You should have 8 reservation numbers if that's the case. How many cybertrucks do you see in your account?

@@gergc4871 if the orders went through, you'll have RN's for each of the 8 which you can cancel 3. Please login and check your Tesla account tesla.com/teslaaccount to see how many RN's show up. How recently did you order?
On the service note! I used to have a legacy mercedes before my model S and at mercedes servicecenter in Sweden, they stoole my coins i had for parking laying in my car. So the whoole Tesla experience is sooo awesome! :)
52:35 Regarding the tweet that Tesla is too male-dominated! Wow! In Los Angeles, I'm always looking to see who my fellow Model 3 drivers are, and let me tell you that this is so far from the reality here! I'm happy to report that more than half of the drivers during my commutes are women! (FWIW, I am on the road from about 7:30 to 8:10 and then another 45 minutes somewhere in the 4 o'clock hour.)
I think it's awesome that the Model 3 has universal appeal across both genders and across a full range of ages.
And Elisabeth brings up a great point, "Once you learn how to use it...It's just so easy to use." And this is a huge factor that a lot of other car manufacturers have still not figured out: User Experience (UX). This is something that Apple pioneered for the smartphone and has been greatly advanced by both iOS and Android. Then Tesla took this to the automobile, and I just don't know of any other in-car user interface that is close.
roddlez great comments. Thanks!
Having TESLA service the cars means TESLA knows what is failing so they can fix it in production and design.
definitely. That's why parts are constantly revved and Tesla also proactively replaces revved parts if you bring it in for service for something else.
1:05:30 YES, for sure they need better tutorials ! The "Charging Guide" is horrible, it tells you almost nothing
Pero estube mucho tiempo cancela by cuando medio la noticia

Communication hasn’t been the best. Calling direct to your individual service center is not made available by default. And waiting for a text when your car is overdue is aggravating when you can usually just call service centers.
Emmett Short, when your car is in for service, call your service center, press 2, then 3 to speak with someone at that location. You can reply to their initial text to get status updates as well.
@@ThirdRowTesla they told me that you have to ask for a local service number and that all calls are initially routed to a call center in ohio or something. I actually did a video on this. my solution was just to ask for a local number on your first appointment. I've gotten the number like that but have also been told that they do not make it a priority to actually answer the phone at the local service centers. I will try your method tho. Thanks!

As a guy who has worked in service from the super market all the way up to a datacenter where I am now. Service is 90% the people working there and 10% whatever system the company put in place. No system can make up for shitty humans, so it annoys the hell out of me when people are talking about these bad experiences and blaming the company as a whole. Don't shout at employees, just be reasonable and go up the food chain. That usually solves most problems and helps the company pick less shitty humans to do the job. And if you are being a shitty human to the employees then I have no sympathy for you. Sorry about the rant. I just have a lot of experience with both shitty employees and shitty customers and thought I'd give my 2 cents on the matter.
