    That kind of power with just under 10:1 is exactly what I was hoping.

    The best heads are form MBE around 700 lift flows around 495 on the intake and in the 300 range with the turbo exhaust port MBE has a video showing these on you tube with dash 4 lines going to each head to spray the springs the intake and valve cover rails are O ringed with the turbo exhaust port and a pro charger are Chevy beaters

    Sounds good but what's amazing is making 800 +HP Naturally from a 358 Cubic Inch known as the SB.2 !!
    I guess the downside is you have to be in 5,000 - 9200 rpm range for the power

      The Ford FR9 NASCAR 358 make 850+ HP but @12-1 not a street engine just like the SB2 is not a street engine, Nice try though.

      Throw an explorer 5.0 engine with a small cam in it. Easy 280whp.

    During my research which only started yesterday into 5 littre " 363" strokers, they said that these blocks are based on Boss 302 blocks. If that is true, wouldn't one want to top that engine off with " Cleveland" heads? I sure want the answer to be yes, as a " 363" Boss would more than be up my alley! Most of the " 363s" that I have seen are in the 600 horsepower range. Wouldn't " Cleveland" heads knock the horsepower into the 700 horsepower plus range? Please tell me " yes" as I really care, and love Ford engines, especially " Cleveland" headed ones? Sincerely. Wes Sept

      No the blocks are based on regular 302 with a few upgrades. aftermarket aluminum flow as much or more than Cleveland heads so I don’t see the need to use them. You also would limit yourself on intakes

      @@leodiaz5705 I know what you mean, about being limited on intake manifolds. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate your help. One thing I'm trying to understand is why do some " 363s" have 600 horsepower, and others that are using all the premium parts ( heads, cam, etc.) Getting only 350 horsepower? I'm not a newbie, and I sure don't know it all, it's just that my 310 cubic inch Windsor was getting 325 horsepower. If I build one of these engines, how can I ensure that it'll push 600?

    Why put all that money into a 302 based engine? Why not just use a stock 351 block and still make the same power

    • @dpa78eda
      @dpa78eda 5 років тому +1

      351 is both heavier and physically larger than this 302 based block. That means something to people who road course or autocross their car.
