Hi Abi, I have been watching your videos for a while now and they have helped me out so much! There was a time where I gave up on graphic design because I got rejected from the program at school but I'm slowly going back. Your videos have inspired me so much! I was wondering if you could make more technical videos? For example, I don't know how to create the mood board template on illustrator. If you could do a step by step process showing what tools you use would be very helpful. Thank you so much for inspiring me!
What I am always fascinated in design is the idea behind it, making something out of nothing and making people look professional, help them express themselves. Before I somehow got here I was only looking for tutorials online and I was sure there is nothing else. Like.. someone will tell me something I don't know to finish my job and there was nothing exciting about it, no story, no background. I would say that the most unique thing in these videos is that you teach but I feel like we do this project together and it is fun. I am slowly getting back to designing (for myself and family now), I downloaded adobe apps and bought crayons, brushes today to sketch on paper but I have Procreate and Affinity on iPad. I am planning my creepy online project because I love horror movies and it all started with choosing backgrounds, fonts, music, sound effects, stock pictures and videos, doing the list of potential film topics. I did 'album cover' to start it somehow and find the color palette, the style of everything I will put out. Now I am working on templates in photoshop and video software to make video production faster. I want to start on tiktok, I wasn't there yet but I also think about youtube and podcast. I did not make a typical mood board but saved a lot of youtube videos I liked, movie trailers from 80s, 90s to keep somewhere the vibe I want from my videos. It sounds like so much work but it pays off. Something well prepared will get viewers attention faster. It is worth to take time and not post unfinished stuff.

It feels like presenting the hows and whys in front of a class room but with the client instead... the "justification" in old way presentations... thanks though to help me to understand this new way to stir the art direction to a client...I kinda understanding... though this is quite difficult to me since i was the kind of boy that write down the result without the process in math class and get low notes because i didn't follow the teaching method.

Could you make a video explaining the sizes of the work month when creating a logo? In what size is it delivered to the client and what size should I use to adapt it to the different social networks. Great job! This is amazing! Some things I’d like to learn from you: Brand strategy as you mentioned in the video and also Id love a video explaining the different types of fonts. THE ARE SO MANY types and I just feel so lost trying to find nice fonts. In this one you use a modern script font and I think it’s great but I’ve never thought about that style bc I didn’t know it. Thank you 😊Of course, the great thing about design is that if you are motivated enough, and put the time in to learn consistently, then over time you'll just get better and better! I would suggest going on 'Udemy' for really in-depth courses about how to use the software, so like courses on adobe Illustrator, then for more of the theory side it's worth checking out the courses on Skillshare, they have some great ones! Hope this helps 😊
Thank you! Yes I do create a contract for each project, and I don't have a template that I sell because it's a tricky one, contracts need to be worded differently depending on what area of the world you're from! 😊

It feels like presenting the hows and whys in front of a class room but with the client instead... the "justification" in old way presentations... thanks though to help me to understand this new way to stir the art direction to a client...I kinda understanding... though this is quite difficult to me since i was the kind of boy that write down the result without the process in math class and get low notes because i didn't follow the teaching method.

Could you make a video explaining the sizes of the work month when creating a logo? In what size is it delivered to the client and what size should I use to adapt it to the different social networks. I don’t use an extension, just chrome on my IMac. Not sure if it’s different for windows, but chrome allows me to just drag an drop! X

Some things I’d like to learn from you:
Brand strategy as you mentioned in the video and also Id love a video explaining the different types of fonts. THE ARE SO MANY types and I just feel so lost trying to find nice fonts. In this one you use a modern script font and I think it’s great but I’ve never thought about that style bc I didn’t know it. Could you teach us the different types of fonts? Thanks Abi

Thank you 😊Of course, the great thing about design is that if you are motivated enough, and put the time in to learn consistently, then over time you'll just get better and better! I would suggest going on 'Udemy' for really in-depth courses about how to use the software, so like courses on adobe Illustrator, then for more of the theory side it's worth checking out the courses on Skillshare, they have some great ones! Hope this helps 😊

I have a video coming out in the next few weeks that’s goes over the whole process of things like this ☺️ but because there’s a lot of information required for each stage I’m actually in the process of creating a super in-depth course for designers about the entire process which includes everything like this, so keep an eye out for that this year!! I know it can be confusing and hard to nail systems and processes so want to make it easy for designers!!☺️

Thank you! So I've never had a client who didn't want to spend time on the mood board process because I have let them know the importance of it. As a designer it's our job to show and explain why each step of the process is important, and the majority of clients will appreciate this. 😊
