    I've been on an overnight oats kick for a few weeks now so I've been watching UA-cam videos about recipes...and this morning you posted these delicious combos and I'll have to try them!!
    One of my favorites is called "cobbler" and the reason I only call it cobbler is because you can add whatever fruit you wanna add to it!
    I use:
    1/2 cup oats
    1/4 cup almond milk
    1/4 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
    1/8 tsp vanilla bean paste
    1/8 tsp cinnamon
    that's the base
    on top I'll put on a fruit of my choice, usually blueberry or peaches, and then I'll top it with a little bit of granola the next day if I think it needs some crunch 😊

      what's the difference between overnight oats compared to making them and eating them on the same day?

    • @skyer8202
      @skyer8202 7 років тому +2

      Nero Has more of a pudding consistency, It's portable, and it's cold so if you prefer cold cereal or something with more calories and less nutrients in the morning, this is better because you get to have all the nutrients, not so much sugar, and it's still cold.

    • @mzTayTay17
      @mzTayTay17 7 років тому +3

      Nero the difference is u won't have to cook them just pop it in a microwave n heat it up🐸 I don't know about the rest but I don't eat cold oatmeal...

    I love overnight oats, especially in the summer. I prefer to use steel cut oats for the nutty, chewy texture. I use 1/4 C. steel cut oats, 1/2 C. homemade nut milk, 1 T. chia seeds, and 1 T maple syrup - thanks so much for the flavor ideas! Also really good with a few spoonfuls of apple butter!!

    So, I wanted to make the apple pie. I made the oatmeal chia seed base and sweetened with maple syrup. Went to the fridge to get an apple.... no apple but I had a pear. Chopped up the pear. Didn't want peanut butter so I added chopped walnuts instead. Alas, no raisins but I had dried cranberries. Added ground cinnamon and ground clove for spice! Breakfast is served!

    Just a thought, no need to add stevia or any sweetner when using fruit especially the last one. Here's another great flavour combo:
    Dates, Chocolate, Walnuts
    Grated carrot, a dash of orange juice (instead of milk or yogurt) cinnamon
    Grapefruit, Kiwi (no liquid, milk, yogurt as there is enough water in them)

My mix was very dry (I did sub 1 cup of Almond Milk for 1 cup of Greek Yoghurt) and I had to use 12oz Mason Jars for the four pots I made. The Double Chocolate was made even drier when I added the Cocoa Powder. Any suggestions on what I may have done wrong. I know you can see what I did but would love some advice. Many Thanks from Australia.
