Hey guys!
I originally planned to approach the arrangement like I usually do, with tons of vocals and layers, etc. But when I started practicing the song just with guitar and a lead vocal--without embellishments--it made the lyrics truly sink in for the first time and I was deeply moved.
I decided to try to find a way to retain the build and emotional dynamics of the song with just a lead vocal performance and accompanying guitar.
I hope you enjoy this take on Daughter of the Sea! Thank you so much for watching.

The ending was one of my favorite parts of any of the videos, strangely. I loved LOVED your humming, haunting yet beautiful and peaceful, and I also adored hearing your dog bark. Those together were a great combination

I'm not a World Of Warcraft person. I've seen the cinematic, but for something that people were making such a big deal over, I barely thought more than "Neat!" about a character I didn't really have any context for. With all that in mind, I think what this arrangement accomplishes is consolidating the entire narrative into Jaina's perspective. It makes the song much more interesting, and the "Beware of me" bit at the end much more haunting, when it's all coming from a single source, rather than a disembodied chorus singing about the character.
I did not expect the higher pitch on the WHY THIIIIIIIIIS, WHY THIIIIIIIIIIIIS, amazing work!
