5:00 in is exactly what I’m seeing. I have a black 2020 Subaru Forester sport. Was ceramic coated, sat overnight and I picked up after 24hours. Literally while driving around for work immediately after it got poured on with rain. I rinsed it off when I got home and lightly dried it...I can see in probably about 4 different spots some blemishes. I hope they go away after a few days, already let my detailer know to check on if they do not go away but this gave me some peace of mind. Thanks 😇
So 3 days after i picked it up, it downpured over night. It was dry when i awoke, Then 2 days later, another 20 minute downpour! This time, i drove it a couple miles, and lightly dried with micro-fiber. I know you said in this video, it's protected by rain. Im talking BUCKETS of rain, twice. Just want to make sure its okay. Plus, Ceramic Pro Coating says 2-3 weeks for curing. Hope you read this. Thanks. Great videos
How do they get rid of a high spot in 5 minutes after it has been on a car for a week? I would love to know that technique. Thank you. This is a great series.
Question. I did the DIY Avalongking ceramic coating. Did all the prep and everything. In the garage left it for three days, took it out in the sun for the first time and everything looks great. When you get up close you can see what looks like water spots.. planning to was it Sunday as it will be 10 days after the coating. Curious if you know why I would have water spots? And how to remove them?
I just got mine done today, said it's going to rain in 3 days. If it does, should I microfiber wipe it off after it stops raining? I unfortunately do not have a garage to park it in.. :(
Just got my car ceramic coated today, I’m picking it up Saturday because the guy didn’t finish the entire coating, some some of the car has 2 days to cure, other parts one. I wanted to let my car sit under my car cover for a week. Will my car cover do any damage to my coating?
I recently had a coating applied and the car set for 48 hours but then I had an unexpected road trip that I had to leave for today and ended up with bugs on the front end. Is this going to pose a bigger problem or do more harm if I just leave everything sit until the seventh day
What about if you have to drive on a dirt road I live in Alaska I’m getting mine coated them k have t Drive 165 miles miles back home the road will make it dirty and their will be bugs I will need to wash it a few days after to get all that dirt off what do I do them if your not suppose to in 2 weeks
My car got caught in the rain at the 7 day mark after ceramic coating , was it okay if I towel dried it with a microfiber drying towel? I didn’t wash it , just dried off the water with the towel .
Hi. I got my black colour car ceramic coated 3 days back but now its full of dust and have some bird poop ( I live in India). So should I clean it straightway or leave it in its present condition for 4-5 more days? Thanks
hey i just got my car ceramic coated and it’s cured for 5 days and i went to look at it at the shop it got done at and there is little hazing spots, will them go away over time or should i bring it up ? LMN ASAP
I payed a Carbon Flex coating for my 2015 BMW X1, by the moment I took it home after the 24 hours treatment it started raining and it got dirty on the sides. I didn’t wash it or anything similar but my concern is having water spots and it affecting the final result. What should I do? Pd: It’s been two days since I got my car coated.
Juan David Amaya Roman follow the coatings specific directions. Rain should not leave water spots. I'm not familiar with that product, but if in doubt contact the company and ask for a recommendation.
After i get my car then rain pour but its not that strong. I think the ceramic just finish for about 3hrs then it get wet from the rain what will happen?
My car was coated Wednesday. Yesterday a heavy rain filled my hood with giant water spots. It looks horrible… Are those water spots affecting the ceramic coating? It’s better to get the car to the detailer for washing or just sit patiently as the ceramic cures ?
Should be just fine. Rain water will often spot up because of dirt around it but does not leave water spots with due to hard minerals that etch like tap water does.
@@VisualProDetailing The spots are white, like they have calcium residues or other minerals. I guess it was rain water combined with dust and I don't know what molecules, because the end result is hard water spots, that look like limescale.
Hi I just got my truck ceramic coated this week. I understand to wipe bird poo. Off. Should I also wipe the bee poo(small yellow/orange spots) off during the curing process? Or just wait till the first wash.
@@VisualProDetailing it says full hardness cure 7 days, but my car has been garaged most of the 7 days, not sure if thats okay since it didn't get sun a lot
Any PH neutral car wash soap should work well. If they have a lot of brake dust buildup pre-rinsing them with a low PSI pressure washer then using an ferrous iron removing wheel cleaner should get them back in great shape, I use 3D BDX wheel cleaner in my shop as it works just as well if not better as the expensive ones at a fraction of the price.
Can I wash it (water only high pressure washer) on the 8th after application? I got two layers of Qjutsu Soft99 Ceramic (10H) on my car. The car has only some dust and some rain dirt on the lower part of the car.
Not familiar with that product, but in general it is best to use the pressure washer to pre rinse, then hand wash with microfiber mitt and car wash soap, rinse, then completely dry. Never let any car ceramic coated or not air dry.
hey! awesome video as always. i have a question. i got my car ceramic coated and its first wash is due after 2 days. but unfortunately there was rain in my area and now my car has drops all over it and they also dried up on the car. i am worried whether this would damage the ceramic coating or leave water spots. should i really wait 2 more days for the first wash ?
The water spots are easily removed with specific products like Chemical guys Heavy Duty water spot remover. It won’t damage the ceramic coating. Hope it helps
My coated car was rained on 4 days after process and I have no water spots, and they said you can wash it after 2 days. That's odd, most videos clearly state not to wash 7-14 days after coating. My detailer told me 2 weeks. What type of coating did you get?
What about winter weather states such as salt after getting cermic coating - do u not wash until after 7 days also will cure time still be effective in cold weather
Usually you will be fine as long as you are observing the initial 12-24 hour period. During bad weather months in our shop we like to apply a secondary sealant such as Gtechniq C2v3 or Gyeon Cure to freshly coated vehicles to help protect the coating during the initial 7 day cure period.
That would be a no. You would have to chemically strip the reload which would be very hard to do without polishing. Reapply the reload regularly and you should be fine.
I got qtechniq ultra put on and it had two hot sunny days before it started to rain and the rain hasn’t stopped yet. The first rain storm was high wind and just pounded my car for over an hour as I was trying to quickly get home. Should I be worried about the coatings longevity now that this has happened within the first 4 days of it being applied?
No!! Covers can hold in moisture which can cause the ceramic to cure improperly. I have seen BAD things happen from people covering cars before the cure period is over.
4 years later, still great advice! Thank you!

Hi. I got my black colour car ceramic coated 3 days back but now its full of dust and have some bird poop ( I live in India). So should I clean it straightway or leave it in its present condition for 4-5 more days? Thanks
I would gently remove the bird poop with a damp microfiber towel but beyond that follow your detailers post coating instruction.

Is this the same for turtle wax ceramic spray from AutoZone?
Highly doubt it, sprays are usually much less stringent about cure times and wash timing.

I applied Cquartz UK 2 months ago and followed it up by reload. Can I apply a second coat now. If yes what procedure should I follow.
That would be a no. You would have to chemically strip the reload which would be very hard to do without polishing. Reapply the reload regularly and you should be fine.
Is it normal to feel slightly greasy after the coating has been applied and dried for 12+ hrs? Thanks in advance
It really depends on the coating. Some are slick, some are smooth, some are tacky, especially the first few days.
For a commercial truck , would you get logos applied before or after ceramic coating?
Before
If you’re not going to polish

Nope, safe to be rained on after 12 hours
Is there anyway to get a sticker to stick to a window?
Yes, the adhesive on the back of the sticker
I just had a ceramic coating put on and now I can’t get any stickers to stick to my rear window... is this normal?
Yep sure is
Visual Pro Detailing is there anyway I can get one too stick?
What if salt hits it ?
If a professional applied the ceramic coating there should not be any high spots
Even professionals with years of experience can make mistakes, it is not unlike any other profession.
What about rain water within 7 days
Most coatings can get wet within 12-24 hours
Is it possible to wipe the dust on my car or should I leave it like that (3days curing)?
Leave it
