    i really appreciate that you posted this video. A year ago my rosacea was really bad & had been for years. It got in the way of everything in life especially relationships. After watching this video i contacted Dr.Ben & got the products he suggested & saw a huge difference one month after! Today i’m almost acne free just gotta do some of the scar repairing now! Thank you so much for introducing me to Osmosis!

    I had to stay with someone in a hospitsl, I slept in a recliner using a hospital pillow, within a week I started showing signs of Rosacea, I was actually told it had a genrtic component. I had lots of small pustules, I started noticing my adultt daughter was having the same issues. I thought I was going crazy but after a lot of research I found that eye lash skin mites could cause my skin issues. After treating for the skin mites my skin started clearing up, I feel lucky I did not have real Rosacea, but discovered the skin mites hat caused my issue. I now use baby shampoo on my eye lash area, and a very mild skin cleanser that has tea tree oil in it occasionally, My skin issue was nothing like hers, and I'm so happy she has found and can recommend products that cleared her skin,

    I developed a "rosacea-like" autoimmune condition 10 years ago after catching cold sores from a partner. No dermatologist would address it and the rosacea also would trigger non-stop cold sore outbreaks that covered my entire face. I have never seen pictures of rosacea so similar to mine as the kind you shared, including the weird facial swelling (I had no idea what was going on until I saw your pictures and realized it's in the same spots! lol).
    Along with the rosacea I suddenly became hypersensitive to all kinds of fragrances, chemicals, foods, molds, etc. Doctors did not link any of these three things together but clearly they are caused by some autoimmune issue. I recently discovered that CANDIDA and fungal issues contribute more to the rosacea, so it was shocking to hear you mention this doctor discovering this as well.
    I'm going to look him and his products up. You look great and I am so happy you have recovered! Thank you for sharing this information. Your struggle is so familiar I hope this video helps people find solutions!

      That is a lot to deal with! I have a milder outbreak than what she has pictured (slight redess on my cheeks and forehead and acne like symptoms....that could be both hormonal acne and rosacea combined) but as soon as she started by saying that it was either liver related or candida related I thought...well for me that would be a toss up and then of course she discovered it was indeed both. I don't understand why the medical system is so bad. I am not sure which country you are in, but in mine, I experience very similar responses.
      With all those other symptoms, including the sensitivities, how can they not link it. And it seems like being susceptible to cold sores is a failure of the immune system to deal with the virus that most people come into contact with.
      Our livers are responsible for so much and I would not be surprised to learn that a sluggish liver is to blame for a lot.
      Good luck and keep your chin up! There is help out there. ❤

    I'm so pleased for you! It's great to see someone with genuinely harsh rosacea actually finding a solution. My break-outs are extreme but, thankfully, relatively infrequent if I'm very careful. I've looked at the products you've had success with and, while I totally understand that your results are probably priceless to you, this range is incredibly expensive and way beyond my budget sadly.

      I saw a video recently by a man who said washing his face with colloidal silver (didn't say he took it internally) really helped him clear his face. He said you can buy it already made but it can also be expensive enough but to try it first and then you can get a machine to make your own for cheap. I cannot attest to this. I just saw the video and thought I might buy some and give it a try. But he said if he stops using it daily it comes back.

    • @averagejane09
      @averagejane09 2 місяці тому

      Further to this, i have also now seen a video by Dr. Dray who shows the risks of colloidal silver. Her video was scary, as they often are though. Shows to thoroughly investigate an option before trying it.

    Thanks for sharing your journey with rosacea. I am 61 years old and about a year ago I started getting red patches and it is getting progressively worse. I am currently on ivermectin , it was working until I went hiking in extreme heat and my rosacea ca me out strong and has not been under control for the past week. I suffer from dry eyes and my ophthalmologist has no real successful treatment. I do a lot of research on my own and have discovered that placing Vaseline on my eyelids has been a game changer. I have also changed my diet and don’t eat processed sugar or drink alcohol or any soda . Thanks for sharing and I am going to look at your links and hopefully I’ll be able to purchase these products in Canada or get it delivered to Canada. I am a firm believer, we have to put our own health in our hands because a lot of doctors just get stuck in the same routine of ordering the same medication and not thinking of other options.

      I’ve heard from functional doctors that the mites are a symptom not the cause, and that the cause is internal. This can make people dependent on the cream because it’s only addressing the symptom. Of course, do what works for you and what you’re most comfortable with!

      Honestly just do not trust anything a youtube video says about a miracle product even more so about rosacea, the whole industry is just a bunch of scammer getting paid by big corpo to sell their products, sadly even going to a dermatologist can yield the same result since you coming back is more money for them, my advice would be to first try to pinpoint exactly what kind of rosacea you have either vascular or the acne kind and then search on a scientific website what ingredients actually work and then go to a dermatologist with your finds since they are less likely to scam you if you seem like you know what you have.
      The acne kind is called papulopustular rosacea, it's the same she has and it's much easier to treat than the vascular kind which is actually uncurable, the best treatments for this one can only be prescribed though but you can just go to a general doctor and ask him to prescribed them if you are sure that's what you have.

      I cut out butter, dark meat chicken, and I added glycerin-free evening primrose oil tablets . Heres my story:
      I followed a book called Nutritional Healing back around 1998. It was a pretty detailed list of what to eat and what not to eat. I told my friends and they said, oh wow you're a vegan. I didn't know what that word was at the time as I was in my 20s, but it was more than being a vegan. there were lots of things I had to eat or were recommended besides just cutting out animal products. Like all the orange and yellow colored vegetables (for skin) but they also recommended against ANYthing oily so even vinegar and oil salad dressings and deep fried Veggies. And some of the supplments they recommended were for skin like b&A and c.....
      I couldn't the regime completely because there was just so much , I just did the ones I could. Anyway, my skin cleared up beautifully within a couple weeks. no more pimples ever. no more red nose. no more red chin.
      but also
      Seasonal and dust allergies completely cleared up I had bern taking medicine every day at the time!
      Also-my skin stop itching!
      Even in the winter when you have dry skin? I didn't even have dry skin in the winter and I lived in a cold climate. My heels cleared up I didn't have to use body lotion.. even in the winter anymore. You know when you have an itch here and there? those cleared up I didn't even have an itch anywhere ever for 2 years. And in the summer I never got bitten by mosquitoes. And if I did get bitten by a mosquito? It didn't itch!
      Anyway fast forward 2 years and I get pregnant with my first child and everything went out the window and I went to McDonald's with nausea and had a Big Mac combo with a Coke it was so good. That helps my nausea but I just didn't want to deal with a restricted diet- no meat etc when I was pregnant so I just went back to regular eating. But I didn't have any rosacea still even though I had a regular diet because i discovered quite easily what specifically caused the rosacea as I began reintroducing everything again.
      Turned out I could eat meat I just couldn't eat oily meat which meant dark meat of chicken. beef, pork, white meat chicken fish, okay but if I ate dark meat of chicken I would have a pimple within a half an hour.
      These are the other things that would cause me to have a pimple within 10 to 20 minutes maybe a half an hour:
      Butter,
      Bamboo shoots.
      As For the supplements? A lot of the supplements were required because I wasn't getting nutrients from animal products. But the most important one to this day I still take for rosacea is:
      evening primrose oil without glycerin
      To this day the evening primrose oil kept my skin a beautiful even color - I never had to use foundation even .

      Hi, I feel so bad for you. I had ocular rosacae and I wanted to scratch my eyes out. The Ophthalmologist recommended I wash my eyelids with Johnson baby shampoo and put a warm damp cloth on my eyes for about 20 minutes each morning, which DID NOT work! I also seen a dermatologist which recommended oxytetrycicline which only helped with the face rosacea.
      I had white dried flaky skin in my eyelashes in the morning which I also had seborrhec dermatitis. I had an over production of demodex mites which can be common with rosacea sufferers. What worked for me was a soap called FaceDoctor soap (it has seabuckthorn in it which kills demodex mites). It gave me instant relieve. You just wet your face then rub the lathered soap into your eyelashes for one minute then rinse off with warm water (keeping your eyes closed during the procedure). I hope this helps you if all other things have failed.

    Oh Jessica. I’m on that roller coaster ride right now. Have been since getting off birth control 15 years ago. Terrible cystic acne first, then rosacea for several years. I’m currently throwing the book at it again. Replaced pillows, changing sheets daily, celery juice every morning, no dairy, no wheat, no corn, no meat, no alcohol, no caffeine (those last two have been off the menu for years already), no yeast or mushrooms, mostly water and high quality supplements all day long. Still barely a move. When I think an area has finally calmed, it migrates an inch away and starts ravaging that area.

    You look great! Glad it has worked for you. I've had rosacea for 10 years or so. It hasn't gotten as bad as yours did, but it's still embarrassing. I would get hot and flushed and have little pustules. People would constantly ask why my face is red. On January 1, I switched to a carnivore diet. I also used ivermectin on my face for about 4 nights. 10 days in, the pustules subsided and have not come back. The redness has faded. The dry, scaly skin has gotten much better. My skin now feels soft and moisturized like I just put lotion on or something. But I don't wash my face much at all, and pretty much only with water. I don't moisturize. I don't use sunblock. I just let the natural oils do their thing. I've had 2 flares so far after eating things I shouldn't have, but they were just hot flashes of the face. Nothing that lasted or caused pustules. One was after eating spicy ketchup and the other was after eating a sausage that had soy in it (I didn't realize). If rosacea comes back despite my diet change, I'll be sure to look into Osmosis. Thanks.

    My rosacea acne was very similar to yours. I was prescribed doxycycline but I didn’t take it. I lived with my rosacea for 10 years and tried many different home remedies and even laser/ipl treatments.i was prescribed metrogel which didn’t help. One day my drs said do you want to try a new topical treatment for rosacea? I said yes of course and turned out it was invermectin or rosiver here in Canada. Basically a pesticide to kill the skin mites. Some people have an immune reaction to the dead mites in their follicles especially if the mite population is large. For me the rosacea started after I started a no poo or basically used only conditioner to wash my hair. I did that for several years and my hair was lovely but my face, chest and back suffered. Rosiver is very expensive but worked for me. Sad I can finally see the scarring the rosacea did after a decade. Still very happy it’s mostly under control.

    In my 40s I started to get what looked like rosacea on my face. I always had clear skin, no issues. I dug deep researching and was seeing a lot of info. about this being gut related. Of course not in mainstream health. But they suck. I found some video about the Osmosis & thought it was worth a shot. I did the Osmosis Skin Clarifier 10 day cleanse. I also found a recipe for L. ruterie “yogurt” & started eating that,my skin immediately went back to normal and actually looked better than normal! That was one year ago and all is good. I think I am going to do the detox every year or so from now on. Highly recommend.

    I spray colodial silver on my face daily and it helps. I just started doing this. My skin used to look like red leather with bumps. This was just with in 2 weeks it cleared up. I also read somewhere that it could be skin mites. However I think mine is more triggered by alcohol, so it could be like a yeast infection. I have a mild case of rosacea with slight redness and visible veins mostly around the nasal area of my nose. I tried laser with no improvement after 6 visits. I also have suffered with dry eyes for at least 10 years and the gal who did the laser suggested both could be rosacea. I just went for a dry eye exam and my eye doctor feels this is the case. Over the years I have used drops but 30 minutes later it is just as bad or worse. I have started adding the smallest drop I can of medical grade castor oil after I put my drops in and they have absorbed. I refrigerated both so you can really know when it hits your eye. This will help hold the moisture in your eye and also it helps with eyelash growth. I am doing this afternoon and bed time . I also use an eyelid wash and have for years but I have not noticed a difference when I started doing this. It is part of my daily routine though. I think the castor oil will help a lot of people out there with the symptoms. My eye doctor also put me on a very low dose oral antibiotic for just 3 weeks. He is hoping it will help my eyes to heal and take down the inflammation. I go back in 3 months.

      According to dr Ben the nasal redness and capillaries are a sign not enough nutrients are getting to the skin. You might benefit from asking him about topic products. I also used to have that. Although the vaginal candida was asymptomatic. I had 3 months of severe fatigue thought it was Vitamin D deficiency, B12 deficiency or Thyroid Dysfunction. All tests were negative. I was given a 2 week course of Nystatin. It’s much better but I still wake up with a few red bumps and use topical Dapsone. I always knew it was due to the candida cuz I have good liver enzymes. Didn't want this but I just want to share that I am 38 and have struggled with papulopustular rosacea for years and it was immediately cured by using Nixoderm which is dirt cheap. It contains sulphur which is exactly what i needed to put an end to this nightmare. I don't have anymore pustules, no more plaques, and no more scabbing. It held me back for so many years bc ppl judge you. It kept me from going to interviews just a few weeks ago bc I had three scabs from pustules that got infected from picking. Someone recommended Nixoderm and it was life changing. I use the tiniest amount. It does burn so next I'm going to try just using a sulphur soap or a sulphur mask. Best wishes to anyone struggling with this. The solution is absurdly cheap and it works wonders fast.

      Hey Sylvie, thanks for your comment! Yes, they are in the higher price range, but they work and are not forever. For me, I spent so much money and time on specialists, oils, herbs, tinctures, pills, programs etc. that ultimately did not work. For me, after 11 months of this, it was cheaper (and I'm getting lasting results) than 6+ years of spending money searching for answers. I get that if you're early on this journey and it's not as severe, you might not see the value. Stress always plays a role, I agree. I have done water fasting in the past and it only could shift the needle slightly. So it's not just about detoxification, but I hear you. Tea Tree oils and other essential oils can be extremely harsh on the skin and not something a corneotherapist would recommend unless it comes in an available form for the skin. I've used tea tree in the past and it might temporarily affect your mite population so you can see some relief, but this is not getting rid of the cause. Regular use can also heighten sensitivity, so just be careful with that.

First box to click is problem you want to address….you have to CHOOSE redness/rosacea OR acne/bumps. I’m 83, I don’t have acne. But as I said, redness is not widespread or a major concern, the bumps are. So where does that leave me vis-a-vis accuracy of the quiz? Also makes me question how knowledgeable or helpful this doctor is if his quiz doesn’t account for the fact that MANY people are in my same situation.

      After a month I added in stem factor which you then use first. Then it depends on your skin. How quickly it’s progressing. Once my breakouts stopped I added in calm. After about 6 months I swapped calm for correct. Only after 9 months did I incorporate catalyst ac11. But you might not need / want all those. Depends if you have scarring and what type of repair you need. At least keep with stem factor and rescue for a while. As your skin changes there may be other things you want to improve. Then you can look at the ranger more extensively

      Thank you for your response. I developed histamine intolerance at exactly the same time I developed rosacea. I looped back to your video and noticed that you mentioned that you have/ had MCAS. Did this clear up as well? Also, when you started healing your liver would your skin get better then get worse and so on? I really believe that a lot of people with rosacea also have MCAS or histamine intolerance…. hence all of the issues with food that we all have!

    Thank you for sharing. It is great to hear about more things that could help.
    However. I have to be honest that I’m feeling vulnerable and bamboozled by all the advice out there and the costs attached (and patience and time required to try out what works). I’m currently on antibiotics and Soolantra which seem to have helped a little but not completely and getting Gogh level anxiety about what could happen when I stop the medication - particularly as you say it risks getting worse!
    I have no idea of my underlying causes as I had bloods taken by the doctor and they all came back clear - surely if my liver was impacted of causing my rosacea on some way it would be marked in some of these results? He tested for thyroid, perimenopause and anemia, which covered all the major blood markers, including red and white blood cells, inflammatory markers, hormones etc.
    I’ve relieved a lot of the stress I had and this has helped, and continue to work on this.
    However, I’m confused that I’ve followed you for a while and you also advocated all the dietary shifts and fasting protocols - are you not needing to do this anymore? Is there still a role for this?
    Is this Osmosis product range now what you think has had the most difference? I’m so confused about what is the best thing to try now!
    Please help!

      Thank you Hannah for your comments. I have been there with the overwhelm so my heart goes out to you. As I said, because I was overwhelmed, I didn’t listen to my friend at first because I just needed to examine whether my current course was working. I was seeing an incredible integrative doctor, and she helped me a lot, but at a point, couldn’t take me any further, and my skin just hit a wall and then started worsening. The other factor is the cost, I know, I’ve spent unbelievable amounts of money on treatments, retreats, appointments, tests etc.
      You do need to start small anyway and feel confident in what you’re doing.
      Before I dove in, I watched a lot of videos and emailed dr Ben and only bought two products - one topical and one internal.
      You can take your time to make sure it feels right.
      Why I suggest you email dr Ben, is because you might not need the liver protocol, you might need another internal protocol. He will also advise you on supplements you currently take. He got me off so many, which was great because I was taking like 50 😅. Turns out they weren’t doing me good and were halting my progress. With all that advice, you’ve spent nothing, and you can choose what whether you go ahead with it, or at what pace.
      Food definitely plays a role, and it will continue to in the beginning months especially, but I found as I began to heal after 6ish months I didn’t have to be so strict and now after 11 months I’m a lot freer. Of course, I still listen to my body, and there are things she still doesn’t like. I’m also not into junk food or drinking…so that helps.
      Fasting has its place, yes, but it can be over done. Because I was fasting for so long and so frequently my body needed a break. I don’t do it now and I don’t think I’ll do it for a long while. My body is finally processing and rebuilding. It needs consistent inputs of minerals, fats and all the good things. Our bodies are very cyclical. Detox phases have their place, and what I found with these products is they gave me the confidence to nourish my body because it was healing ❤
      I hope that helps xxx

      Hannah, save your health and stop antibiotics. Derm doctors suck at this, I saw the best and ruined my gut, reversed it by myself through trial and error. Jess is amazing expert now. What helped me was to stop all creams, follow clean eating, and Osmia soap and simple Osmia cream. This is after Dr prescribed antibiotics , course of Accutane and what not. They should be sued for not knowing and advising

      @@irisx2728but whats the "WONDER" ingredient in those Osmosis treatments?
      Why aren't dermatologists are aware of these ingredients if this is so SUPER effective??
      Idk... this all sounds so sus.
      And it's super expensive. And that's so typical for scammers.

    Wow thank you for sharing your powerful story! I've got 3 questions:
    1. Did you use the moisturiser too? (e.g. Quench) or just the serums?
    2. Do you do Stemfactor, Rescue and Calm twice a day or mix it up (e.g. Rescue in the AM, Calm in the PM).
    3. What do you use for SPF/sunscreen?
    Thank you again so much ❤

    • @jessicaInTheRa
      @jessicaInTheRa  Рік тому +2

      Hey lovely, thank you for your questions.
      I did start off using quench after applying the serums, but since I have realised I need more for my skin. I use enrich (also osmosis) or dermaviduals high classic moisturiser with an Australian oil, but you could also use the emu oil from osmosis called “immerse” which is wonderful.
      Start with quench because I know so many people who love it and it’s prefect for them. If you need to add an oil to it, add immerse.
      I’ve tried so many sunscreens for my face. Tbh, I wanted to see if there we’re good non toxic alternatives other than osmosis but osmosis protect is the best. It doesn’t make you white and it feels like a moisturiser. Most sunscreens make me feel sticky which I hate. The other alternative is I sometimes use Jane iredale bb cream which has spf (that is also amazing) but it’s not enough on it’s own on super sunny days where you’re out all day.
      As for serum application… if you want optimal results you use rescue then calm each morning and night. But I’d just start with rescue and slowly add in additional products. You mix it with a little bit of water to rub them in so you don’t need much. 😊

    How long does the product last? There is no way I could afford all this for 9 months.😫 if anything i would buy the regenerate.

    • @jessicaInTheRa
      @jessicaInTheRa  Рік тому +1

      It depends on your presentation and the severity. It's best to save up and take the proper course. A bottle of Regenerate lasts 30 days. A maintenance dose lasts longer. If you email dr ben and get a recommendation you are much less likely to waste your money on additional doses or getting the wrong products. That's why I suggest it. Everyone is different -- I required 9 months on regenerate but some people need much less, or not at all!

    You were using dermaviduals? I just started back on them because I thought that getting off of it was what caused my flareups. I would love to know more about your experience with dermaviduals. I never used oleogel. My esthetician said it was too strong to use during the flareups.

    • @jessicaInTheRa
      @jessicaInTheRa  6 місяців тому

      That’s really interesting because oleogel is just lipids it’s the most benign thing you could put on your skin. There are not actives in it. It’s an attempt at an artificial barrier and to hold moisture. However my Barrier was so bad it was not enough. I had to use products that promoted barrier repair. That’s why I prefer osmosis, but having said that I now use one of dermaviduals moisturisers in combination with an Australian oil.

    I can attest to the Osmosis recovery supplement, its nothing short of a miracle. I had gastritis post Hpylori and I couldn’t eat much but within 3 weeks my gastritis calmed down. I love the skin clarifier too great for perimenopause anxiety but oh my its hard to keep up the price tag is insane. wow. That sounds nearly too goo to be true. (:
    My facial rosacea is not as severe as yours was, but I have pretty heavy ocular rosacea, which means I have constantly very dry eyes, I have to use eye drops and eye cream nearly every hour and I still have a lot of pain and blurry vision.
    For 6 years now I tried so many things, diet, laser-therapy, fasting... all without any lasting results. I would be so happy if this works.
    I also have acne since I am a teenager and it never really got away (I am 35 now). I got the acne maybe 90% cleared with diet (vegan, no sugar, no gluten, no high fatty products, no oil, no alcohol and no drugs) but the rosacea never really got better with diet, whatever I tried.
    I'll send Dr ben an email today. I really hope he will answer me and I also really hope I can get this products in Germany.
    Do you know anything about getting these products in Europe/Germany?
    Best wishes and thanks a lot for this video!

I admire that and completely empathise with how hard and taxing it all is. Yes, email him, and let me know how you go. I hope he has an answer for ocular rosacea, it's so difficult to find information on. Every European country is different due to their regulations. The Uk is fine, but I know the Netherlands is a pain. I've helped people who have ordered them in France, but not yet in Germany. Would Germany have similar rules to France? xx

      Hi, I know this was a while ago you commented. Do you have sticky white dry flaky stuff sticking to your eyelashes? If so it might be you also have seborrheic dermatitis which can cause meibomian gland dysfunction or demodex mites linked to rosacea. I had ocular rosacea too and tried all sorts of treatment unsuccessfully. But what DID WORK was FaceDoctor soap (you get it on Amazon). it instantly took away the itchiness. You wet your face then rub the lathered up soap into your eyelashes and leave for 1 minute, then rinse off with warm water. I really hope this helps you!

    Did you just immediately start getting better? Or was there some sort of regression prior to getting better? Mine is not diagnosed but I think similar and I want to get rid of it.

    • @jessicaInTheRa
      @jessicaInTheRa  8 місяців тому +2

      Good question. No rosacea regression. I did have a period where I was getting pimples (at the beginning) but my skin was also getting stronger, less red and holding more moisture. So overall it was an improvement. I was told that a purging can occur in the beginning, and that’s all it is. It was mild in my case 😊

      Hi Pam, thank you for your comment. It's so great to hear your skin is good and the Rosacea is gone. Hormones definitely play a part, and estrogen levels in particular can impact candida populations - so it makes sense! The sensitive skin might mean your barrier is still impaired, so topical assistance might be the way to go. :)
