got the 2.0 diesel (no ad blue version) sinds 2014,...after 2 years empty the paricle filter, closed the egr valve and new programming,.....187 horse power on the weels!!! top speed from 192 on gps to 217 , acc from 8.9 to 7.7 sec , consumption reduced from 7.5/8 liters per 100 km to 5.5/7 liters ...7 liters is max in the winter with short distances , have now 248.000 km and no problems, every 10.000 km new oil and oil filter , 180.000 new belt, 1 pair of break discs front and 2 pairs of break pats..... the only big issue are the plastic lights with led daylight, they start getting misty and cost around 650 euro each .....
First I want to say that I don't know a single thing about car parts. Recently my dad bought a 2014 1.6hdi. This car is not reliable at all. Flooring it causes "engine failure" lights, and the car would disable one of the injectors causing it to go in emergency mode and so on. We ended up getting new fuel injectors which for now seems to have fixed this issue, but 3 days ago on a trip we needed to overtake a truck and when I floored the car it turned off the ESP. We pulled over, restared the car and it fixed itself. Also the parking sensors like acting weird: Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't and yes we checked for dirt.
I was at the Peugeot service in my town and they have changed some belts, rollers, and antifreeze, oil and filters, and now I have a feeling that 5008 behaves like brand new 💪 It cost me a bit above 600 EUR but in service they have told me that this kind of maintenance I don't need to do before next 50.000 kilometers. Oil and filters in 10.000, and the big one in 50... The new problem is that navigations have "0 Visible satellites"... That is new peace of the puzzle 🤔
The 2.0hdi bluelease was also available as handshifting transmission in 2015 (but with all the specs, just without rear cam) I drive a 2015 2.0hdi bluelease six speed handshift. So not exclusive with automatic transmission. The one with automated transmission however is said to be 160hp, but it is fact the same engine (apart from transmission and maybe ecu setting), or am I wrong?
I have just bought 5008 blueHDI 1.6, automatic with something like tiptronic, semiautomatic and full automatic combined. Nice package. Nice looking car, nice driving, but it has some kind of bug. If I put my pedal to the metal while increase speed, it pop up warning "engine failure" and it stays until I restart the engine... I hope it is not serious failure...
