Buy a MQB platform car. Crazy tuneable and reliable. Also cheap to fix and easy to work on. Relatively and 6spd dct is amazingly tough and shifts so fast its crazy.

This was the most horrible car I have ever driven. The 2 Tronic semi automatic gearbox in the 1.4 was a nightmare and downright dangerous as revs when needed could not be guaranteed. The performance was poor and twice the car broke down for no apparent reason - the engine just stopped! It was a heavy car to push off the road when on one's own. A disaster of a car and as a result I will never buy another French car.

I have had two Pajeros in Australia over a 21 year period. 2001 NM 3.5 ltr petrol. Modified with bull bar, aftermarket suspension and all terrain tyres. Completed 295,000 km, over ten years, general commuting and off road driving. Had seviced on time and had no issues. 2nd Pajero was a 2014 NM diesel. Modified with bull bar winch, rock sliders, underneath protection, two inch lift, snorkel all terrain tyres. Have now completed 275,000 klms over 11 years. I have towed a 2.6 ton caravan and 1.5 ton camper trailer around Australia twice. Only issue has been front break rotors, rear wheel bearings and broken clips on air box . Apart from these items the vehicle has been faultless. I would buy new again if the vehicle was still being produced.

the diesel engine is not a Nissan engine, it is made by Renault and was used in vans and cars long before Nissan made the Juke, as for airbags, AC etc not working, bollocks, this video is as bad as they get, low milage jukes with service history are a great second-hand buy, best of both worlds, Japanese construction standards paired with the best builder of diesel engines in the world, as for the comment about the CVT, all CVTs are crap, they don't work properly and need the oil and belts changing every year or 10K miles, why anyone would buy a CVT is beyond me, in a few years there will be virtually no CVT cars being sold, Ford USA has given up trying to perfect them and are going back to the old automatic transmissions and stick change (manual gearboxes) it cost ford USA $ millions in callbacks to swap out belts, tensioners and transmission bearings,

Thanks for this, can you advise if the 2013 Astra j 1.3dtsi has any major issues (even though they say it is underpowered) that I need to be aware of? I know about perhaps as part of the natural wear can be the turbo, the timing chain, dpf? Can you comment on that and if anything else is out there to be aware of and keep an eye on. I got this as a family car for long freeway trips a month ago with 121K miles, had to change front break pads, glow plugs, and a small turbo gasket. Other then that it seems to be running great. The previous owner washed the dpf and now I am maintaining it with Shell's best diesel and some additives (from time to time). I would like to keep the car. I drive it normal, some longer trips once a week. No crazy driving (2-3K rpm from time to time). Thanks in advance.

Never had a grinding in 3rt and i drive mostly agressive. Have it since 2015 the 1.4 cvvt Never any problem, it laks of power after 130km/h anyways in spain max speed is 120 anyways. Very versatile, lots of space, specially when you fold the seats down. Even transportet a washingmashine in there.
