Great step by step guide, i need these type of videos, for when mine arrives, as im not well up on technical, stuff, very much old school, thanks for sharing, from Steve near Chester England where the Roman's once 🇬🇧 lived
you are welcome. Next one will be a video with hints&tricks that I figured out over the last months. Ingemar, from St. Stefan where the Celts once lived 😉
Thanks again Ingemar for demonstrating a feature I have not understood. They should add a turn breadcrumb, e.g. turning left here, and then it can direct through intersections without needing mapping. And that’s such a great idea I’ll expect a discount when my invoice comes😂.
Thank you for the info... can you do a video of bringing waypoints in from outside the truck? Planning a trip on a computer... then following on the NAV system.
Very interesting! After my experience with incar navigation devices i would have guessed the recorded path gets shown on a map. The navigation system i have in my (old) car, that is part of the manufacturers infotainment system, plants little flags onto a map when i drive on "paths" it doesn't know. But i never tried, if i can make it follow/use that trail like this system can. (i doubt my old system will do it)
Helpful! When you reported back to Ineos about your experience at 10000 km, how did the company respond to your concerns/ suggestions for corrections to vehicle?
they are very interested in feedback and wanted to hear all the inputs/concerns/ideas. I don't have specific response yet but I have a follow up meeting next month. I will also be present at the Ineos stand at the Goodwood festival of speed mid July so I am in contact with them
i addressed all the issues I am aware of with Ineos in Goodwood. They are aware and working on fixes for most of them. Software updates, different sensors and changes for the next (2024) model etc. They were very open...again.
@@CJ-rk5eg currently they are dealing with the delivery-issues but they are aware of the things that concern the customers. a few items i picked up at the Goodwood Festival of Speed: - software is getting updates (should get rid of all the nuisance warnings) - a/c might get different sensors to improve performance - bending issue with rain gutter is being looked at - new driver assistant system have been incorporated in the 2024 version (new law) - a shorter roof rack is now available (not covering the safari windows)
Great video! My cars Pathfinder system, GNSS shows in red and compass is not working at al. Do you have any information on it, like how to reset or calibrate the system?
like what you would do on a Ipad with gaiagps or similar apps. I'd rather see a dash where there is a lock in place for your preferred ipad / tablet than an inboard navi that will always be behind on what ipads / tables can do.
Thanks. That was a big help because I don't think it's intuitive. I use GPXSee (I'm sure there are other utilities) to view an exported *.gpx file. The files are just a variant of the *.xml standard.
as it is a very basic system, there is no map view! Ineos' philosophy on that is, that every off-roader has his/hers favorite navigation app/system. you can connect with apple airplay or android auto and use it on the screen. so you always have up-to-date charts and the system you are used to.
You know? we British love old things and hate innovation and future. We built Jaguar with almost with the same look, round headlights and interiors for 50 years till Indians bought the company and brought it to 21st century. The same shit with Rover, Range Rover and Land Rover. Now another charlatan is reselling us the idea of Defender but this time built in a village in France with BMW gear knob. We are amazing!
very useful and helpful. Simple system, simply explained. Many thanks for taking the time to share this with us.

i will do that these days! will probably be embedded in the next "How-To" Episode!
Great video, one less instruction I have to read.
💪
Integrating this the waypoint system into a mapping tool would have been better right?
absolutely. but you could export your saved gpx-files to your favourite navigation app.

you could export the gpx-files from the Pathfinder System to google maps, maps.me etc...

@@grenadier_exploring I wonder which improvements will be made by the time deliveries begin in the USA? Did you get any sense of that from Ineos?

sorry, got no experience with that one! did you check theineosforum.com ? they might have discussed that issue there...

thx a lot. it requires some time and effort to get used to that system…
Does it have map and or map integration functionality?
the pathfinder system has no map. but you can use your preferred app via apple carplay or android auto.
How does the winch work ? remote ? switch ?
remote...connected with bluetooth. i posted another video regarding the winch
Good channel and content. I have to ask, where is the pathfinder map view? Compass direction is fine but limited and dated. Thanks
