Thanks for the video. I was able to test drive a preproduction vehicle today, but I was not able to get into the infotainment menus due to time. So this was very informative for me. The preproduction vehicles are a little buggy too.
But wow. I could not believe how well it drove off road, and it was muddy too. I am very impressed----and I have owned Jeeps (Wranglers) for over 25 years. And even though they were preproduction, the interior is much nicer than I anticipated. So I was very pleased and looking forward to the U.S pricing to come out. Anyway, thanks for the videos and I hope you keep doing them.

Thanks for posting such detailed videos. Really appreciate it as we wait for our Grenadier orders to come through.
Looks like there isn’t a Trip 1, Trip 2 option with the Odometer.
    A couple of observations
    1. I like that it shows how many amps going in for charging and looks like there is a discharging amps count as well in the right hand side
    2. I love that they show tranny temp and tire temp. It’s a shame they didn’t add the spare wheel stats as well. Maybe temp doesn’t matter but pressure would be nice to have
    3. The Ctek charging unit looks to be a quality unit. Can you please post the model number here? I want to see if we can swap the spare battery to lithium and if the Ctek will support automatic charging profiles

very comprehensive and useful. Many thanks for taking the time and sharing it. So, some questions regarding the second battery; 1) does the power switch (upper panel) have to be on for it to charge or just to power the outlets you mention? 1b) so the 12v and Rear USB sockets are not powered all the time? 2) The electrical screen only has stats for the main battery?
    thx once more

    • @grenadier_exploring

the battery is charged automatically...regardless of the switch position. That switch is only there to power the mentioned outlets when the car is off.
1b)always powered when the car runs. when the car is off you need to switch the aux battery on.

my original plan was to get an old defender and add everything i need for overlanding. so i like the look of that car and it being kind of basic. new prados, cruisers, defenders are too "normal" for me.
when i heard about the grenadier project, who was developing it and the components they used....i was basically sold.
i want to use the car as an every day vehicle as well and that's not that easy with an old defender...plus they got quite expensive as well. sure, the grenadier is not cheap but it's a new design, well built (as far as i can tell now) and comfortable.

I like the exterior power sockets provided, very useful for front, sides and rear bar LED lights.

What is the Grenadier owners manual like, thick, or is the owner manual a download for a smart phone or tablet, or flash drive etc?

His name is Thor and he is a husky. I love him too.
the instrument brightness control is something that should be fine tuned. the automatic adjustment is a bit slow (same for switching on the headlights when going into a tunnel) and you need to go into a submenu on the infotainment to change it. ambient lights are good!
the eCall (distress call) is NOT meant for breakdowns. it has an automatic function when the car senses a crash and transmits your GPS position as well. if someone else needs help, you can activate it manually.
CTEK offers a matching solar power management! i will talk about that once I have it.
The manuals come as PDFs…so not so thick ;-)
the pathfinder - which is the installed navigation system is basic. only tracks your route or you can follow a stored/uploaded path. but with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto you can use your favourite system on the screen and that works really well!! I got no info on CB Radio etc.
you get used to the position of the screen and after all it’s not completely out of your field of view. I get along with it really well. Of course your co-driver has the possibility to assist you because it’s tin the center and you can connect several phones at the same time. So my girlfriend is the DJane ;-).

Love my grenadier AND it’s interior but…it needs a software flash to stop all the error codes

no. well...you can still continue once your ad blue tank is empty but when you shut down, you can't start the engine again (until you fill up the ad blue).

Anyone know the city/highway mileage for a gas version? No meaningful information here in the USA. Published values are 15/15 mpg which sounds ridiculous for a modern engine.

Hallo Viktoria!
