Hello Eve, my name is Sarah, from Mosul in Iraq. I watch all your clips and understand what you are going through from traveling alone and very tired. I always pray for you in my prayers that you are well and that God protects you everywhere and that you are not exposed to anything during your travels in the countries of the world. You achieve part of my dreams because I love adventures a lot, but I can't fulfill my dreams because I am poor. I wish you a happy journey and wish you success. Greetings to you from Mosul 🤍.

Good for you Yves. You are an inspiration.
Thank you for visiting Iran in the past.
We iranians have many anecdotes about guests in our house.
The guest is king and certainly since how Iran is portrayed in western media, the people will do anything to make the guest feel welcomed.
Some say this is in our blood since Iran always have been a place for visitors going back to the silk road days when travelers and mercants went through Iran.
Good luck on your future journeys from a subscriber =)

Yves, I think you're living the life you really want and that's wonderful. We can only feel free, when we go light with luggage, and facing the new day aimlessly, wherever life takes you at that moment. You lead the life that many would like to lead and don't dare, because as you say "They can't leave their bubble", and they don't want to leave their sentimental or family attachments. Sure, that's the price most don't want to pay. I admire your free spirit and your courage. That makes it follow you on your travels because you are different from everyone. A hug from Argentina 🤗

I believe your friendly and honest personality helps you form friendships quickly which also makes your films much more interesting and today I learn you love the arts and great movies. I love the bike and the travel mixed together. you keep fit and see the world at the same time. I do worry sometimes that the roads you are cycling on look quite dangerous. Does this concern you at all ? do you ever cycle at night ? I hope you enjoy Egypt and good luck as you move further into the continent of Africa.

Thank you for your message. Usually I am not really concerned about the roads, as long as they are wide enough, I don't find it dangerous. The only issue is when the road is narrow and people drive very fast, but that's quite rare, I only had the case in Kurdistan.
And no, I try never to cycle at night. If I do, it's just for 1 or 2 km maximum.

very intersting comparison. So when you are travelled through european countries , then spent near 1000 euro, but now in Africa you are spending near 2000 per month. But as we know all services and foods mostly cost lower in Africa then in Europe, so may be you expand some additional sum for yourself comfort))

This is a great video Yves. I would also have loved to visit Yemen (really sad about the situation there) and was awestruck by the Rimbaud museum in Harar, one of my teenage heroes. It is so true that travelling is happiness. Despite some of the issues one can have, it is an encounter of minds, hearts and cultures. You remind me of Ibn Battuta, the 21st century version!

You are the second person telling me that I seem to have a similar mindset as Ibn Battuta :-)
