- In this video Greg shows you how to use the Arp on the JT-4000 Micro. It is surprising how convoluted this function is to operate on this little synth but with a bit of investigation I have worked it out. I also discovered how to latch the Arp so show this trick too. @behringer @elusiverecordingstudios1729
I was about to send it back because of the lack of latch function. Thanks for the this great tip. It makes the little device almost usable.
Sound is amazing though.
On Firmare 1.14 (updated on 22.Dec.203):
- Press "ARP"
- Go to "ARP A: SET B: ----"
- Change "A: SET" from "KEY" to "ARP"
For Key Latch:
- Press "SETTINGS"
- Go to " KEY: A: OCT B: HOLD" (usually first option)
- Change "B: HOLD" from "OFF" to "ON"

I am looking for a dedicated latched Arpeggiator and could'nt find a cheap one.. Then I found your video... I have the JT-4000 and didnt know it could do this.. Thank you for this guide..
Arturia Keystep can do that (you press HOLD and then you press the keys you want)

Thanks for the info. I’ve been trying to figure out the latch / hold feature for a while now, considering it’s stated in the info on a lot of stores selling it as a feature yet not actually saying how to do it ( even in the instructions 😂). Hopefully this isn’t a bug.
took me ages to figure out you needed to go to settings and change from key to arp. I was turning on the arp button and nothing happened, comvinced it was broke till I discovered the setting 😂😂
I was exactly the same. Why they put the option to switch on the arp in settings and not in the ARP section is beyond me but at least it works 😂

The arpeggiator is a common synthesizer feature that spits out an arpeggio when you press down a chord.

Great. Anyway my arp doesn’t sync at the the same tempo. Playing on f. E. 120 in live, i need to adjust the bpm on the jt at 140, but then it will eventually also runout if sync. Any ideas?
My JT has arp on as factory setting...
