Love the Pink Floyd reference- a very good use of the Solina sound!
Daniel Fisher videos are the best
I'm not from the US but allways enjoy your videos, your presentation is allways excellent and professional.
all sweetwater videos should include the floating string singing head from now on
New Daniel Fisher video out means it’s a good day! That synth sounds just perfect!
Used mine on a session (on tape) last week. Was the perfect sound. The solinas were always one-trick ponies, but when it works, whew, what a trick!
Yep, definitely a one-trick pony but it can have so many different moods depending on context! Put it in a Pink Floyd song and it's cold and eerie, put it in a bouncy pop song like Bowie "Sound and Vision" and sounds like Christmas!
Welp! You’ve sold me Dan!
For the third time I might add.
Another incredible demo from Dan, the Man!
Keep up the great work, man! You’re awesome!
I'm gonna weave a dream with this.
Daniel looking good in this video. Sounds great.
I've always loved strings through a phaser. For this feature alone, for me, it's worth it.
@Sweetwater-k8o Good. Mail it to me. You already have my address.
“A very useful toy” - Daniel Fisher
Back in the 70s and 80s/90s I was obsessed with 3 sounds... the Rhodes, the ProSoloist and the Solina... I was (and still am) into my jazz funk so those sounds were so prevalent... I still use my Rhodes and ProSoloist but I think I would struggle to use a Solina nowadays as there are other options.... still... it is pure nostalgia to hear it... it certainly does carry a certain "melancholic/depressive" vibe which I hear in Klaus Schulze/Pink Floyd records....
You nail it the sound is beautiful melancholic/depressive 70’s ❤
Got it, love it! I mostly use just "violin" sound with no reverb for that cold retro-future dystopian vibe, or add some "viola" and stereo reverb for massive lush string atmospheres. Definitely going to try running everything else I have through the modulation!
ready for behr to do the synthy A clone already! its been 3 years or more since announced. this solina sounds good too! major berlin school tones on some patches.
Jean Michel Jarre in a box. Yes please.
I've just closed my eyes again...
Love your videos Daniel, so creative and informative!
After listening to this I will have a glass of Moloko Plus 🥛
In the days of the Funkapuss...
amazing unit!
Great overview and now I must
Well that's definitely the Dogs sound! Barked right out at me. ;). And that Small Stone...so damn creamy. For $300, it's a no-brainer. I wrote 2 songs just listening to this demo lol
@Sweetwater-k8o you're kidding
It would be really cool to hear any of the behringer synths with a eurorack
That’s dope!!
Love it
I want this so bad but prolly should learn how to play first!
Pink Floyd ❤❤❤
WOW 🤩
Ooh baby 👶 😍
You Animals!!
Pink Floyd fan! I heared dogs and saucerfull of secrets
Makes complete sense when you find out that he plays keys in a Pink Floyd tribute band.
@@stoneyboyd aha yes makes sense
Preach it brother!
Instant Jean Michel Jarre.
Dreamweaver!
It's time for psychedelic trance producers to add some new flavours with Solina String Ensemble.
Dogs❤
Wonder if t here's a way mod this for stereo output from the "modulation"? Yeah I know the original was mono, but I used to have a Streichfett and when you turn on the ensemble effect it opens up into gorgeous stereo, I do miss that. Adding stereo effects afterwards is not the same as having the three different elements of the modulation appear in different parts of the stereo field.
Love the intro...
Early Duran Duran
Daww this is cute.
What Keyboard are you using? I would like to own one.
It’s a full synth, the ASM Hydrasynth Explorer
I know they are not the same thing, but How would you compare it to the Waldorf Streichfett?
No mames.
I own both and a Solina from 1976. The chorus of the Streichfett is not tuned correctly and modulates too much. As a result, the signals from the three delays do not merge properly and the creamy sound of the Solina cannot be created at all. This is less of a problem with choir sounds. You can disguise it with a lot of reverb, but unfortunately that also means the nice rasp of a string ensemble disappears. You can also notice with the VP-330/VC-340 that the chorus doesn't sound quite as full as with the Solina. Greetings from Germany!🇩🇪🤝
Here's my video on the Waldorf STVC:

Oh I know I’m not hearing anything from the hudrasynth. I wish I could get it to sound that good 😵💫. Nah I love my Hydra. This sounds great too.
an out take from pink floyd's animals?!
SOLINA or ASM or NEMESIS?. I preferer The EMINENT!
Apparently this is not a clone of the clockwork orange synth. So why does every video I've seen showcasing it make me think of that movie?
Daniel….you sly dog 🐕
Mr. Crowly...
that was a Roland RS505
@@connor_flanigan O.K.
Dogs lol
😂
As with every Behringer, I gave up waiting and bought something else.
Seems weird that we need to revive keyboards for $$$$ when all the synths we have can create those sounds other ways. Tech has been stuck for so long.casios from 1980 are still as interesting.
I agree. Behringer keeps reviving these old synths that are so boring and limited.
Counterpoint: I’m a guitarist who got into synths while I was a starving college student. $50 was a MAJOR purchase for me at the time. I have about a billion software synths, yeah, but if wasn’t for Behringer’s reissuing of these classics I would have never even dreamed of getting them. Budget synths elsewhere are simply too prohibitively priced.
These reissues are a way for someone without the money or means to have the “real” synths that their heroes had. I know own multiple of these Behringers, and I’m definitely planning on investing into more sophisticated and modern synths, but for now I spend most of my time with my Crave and NI Massive.
I can run an old Casio through a pedal if I want this sound
Nope.
@@markaprill6501 yep. Analog square wave models, of course.
No
@@SPAZZOID100 yes
Nope
Jesus, that's probably the "coldest" sounding synth I've ever heard. The highs are killing my ears lol, I don't know how anyone could use these sounds without a huge chunk of low pass filtering.
Boooooring.
?
Yeah specially if you’re not a music composer 👍🏻
your comment? yes
Yeah I love mine, that I got from sweetwater.
Behringer please make the VC340 in the same rack format like the Solina without the vocoder 😊
