To just put this all in perspective, During the horus heresy, Erebus hunts down and tries to convince a Perpetual to join chaos. This particular perpetual was one that directly worked on the Primach project. I believe she is the "mother" (might be getting stories crossed) of the primarchs. both she and the emperor not only worked directly on the project but contributed genetics to the template they all came from.
During this encounter She rebuffs him and he summons 3 higher level demons to attack her. which she single handedly is capable of taking on. .... None of the perpetuals that ive seen are weak. They are all top tier power level characters. and all of them combined couldnt match the emperors power... BEFORE he went to molech and stole power to become obscenely more powerful then he was before.

@@SpiritualityofScience she does... but only after kicking the shit out several high level chaos spawn. One of which could wreak untold havoc. In a simple one on one erebus would have been obliterated, no contest, erebus even admits as much.
Point being, all the perpetual were super powered badasses and even all of them combined couldn't match the strength of the emperor... thats staggering. It makes sense how the chaos gods have to tip toe around him. He's literally described by malcador as being able to "make his own time" or something like that... 😜

This was beautifully told and rendered. As a former GW employee, you encapsulated everything perfectly. Are there traitors and loyalists at GW? Yes. When I started, I was like, "Oh... here's a Ravenwing. Ok. And this one is Dark Angel, 4th Company. Ok. And that's a Raven Guard." Well, I wanted to be Raven Guard, but that was taken, and Dar... Ok... You have a Blood An... Ok... Huron Blackheart it was. I'll do Red Corsairs and paint units that mimic your color schemes... but with a particular detail. Sound good?
At that point I did not have confidence in my ability to paint Alpha Legion. Today? I think I could mimic many legions and then produce Alpha Legion. Perhaps my Primarch was Alpharius.
I want to edit this to ask a simple question : Were the Old Ones evil? Let's presume the Slaan (Ok, ok, fine, the Old Ones) shepherd the Necron. So why did the Necrontyr rebel against The Slaan? Where is the lore evidence? None. It's the Necron turning upon themselves. Even the C'tan are Necrons against themselves. And yet... The Slaan sit aside and watch.
But, as it states in my most favored Codex : Thought begets Heresy.

I guess, the truth is that we know so little about the old ones to say for sure, but it does seem like if they had been willing to share some secrets with the Necrontyr, to prolong their lifespans, a lot of pain may have been avoided

Wow, just...wow! I have known about Warhammer and Warhammer 40K for many years, but never gone into it until just a few days ago when I saw a video of a guy putting togheter a titan figure. That led me to start looking into the lore a bit more and has now led me here. This was amazingly good!
I'm looking for games (console and PC) to play (prefer PS4/PS5 and PC though), recommendations are greatly welcome. Movies, TV-shows and graphic novels recommendations are also welcome if there are any good and available.

I’ve spent some time looking at 40k and wanted to know more about it, I finally decided to try and understand it after fearing it would be to much to take in and I would get lost in it all and just become confused and overwhelmed by it all.
Credit to you as I couldn’t have picked a better video to watch and not only do I understand the lore and can appreciate how rich it is but i look at everything to do with 40k in a different light and I understand things that about games i have played or characters i have seen.

I knew this is probably the hundredth time you're reading this but I just started getting into Warhammer and I cannot stress enough just how hard this series' lore goes. Like,you can tell this took decades to craft, but every second was worth it, and can I just point out how foreboding it would be to come under the attack of these superhuman monstrosities. honestly wtf are you gonna do against a primarch?
