She is actually correct because she is describing the actual process for most states. There are always states that have a different process but as she said, you have to contact your state Clerk of the Courts for more information.
In New York you don't get the transcripts from the clerk. You get them from another party that can charge you whatever they want or even refuse to sell them to you.

I'm desperately trying to get an Audio transcript of a hearing out of a Georgia felony criminal court and was told by the court steno person that audio is not available. She sent me a copy of the written trans but it's 50% correct and 50% lies. I'm in dire need of getting this so I can prove my probation should have ended this year but they are saying it ends in 2022. It's crazy, they don't want to give it to me I would think it should be public info especially if it's on myself. Anything I can do to make them produce it? Thanking you in advance, David
I am in a similar situation in Texas, po officer lied under oath and said I threatened judge 30 days before my probation ends , judge sentenced me to more community service ,GPS House Arrest etc, they will not release hearing video to my attorney.

File a freedom of information act request on the district clerk and or the court house that held your trial but I'm not certain that trials are audio recorded
I tried getting the documents from a court case in 1997 and the court said they purge cases that are older than 5 years old. Could they be anywhere else or is it truly gone? It ended in a dismissal and i want to expunge something from my FBI background check. It was a driving with an invalid license.
How can you be innocent until proven guilty if you have to get a lawyer that costs more than the fine? and how can you have a right to due process if it cost more to appeal an unfair trial than the actual penalty? What do you do it the custodian of the transcripts is trying to extort you or just plain refuses to sell them to you for your for your appeal?
Not correct. I am told by the reporter to email her. She is charging me $980.00 for my transcripts. Has dropped down from $1,800.00 I still feel I am bei g over priced for a three hour court hearing. Her charging me $7.00 per page of 140 pages. Who makes these page rates up in Texas?
This video is sooooo wrong. Georgia does not allow you to order transcripts in civil Superior court cases unless you paid for the takedown, have permission from the person that did pay for the takedown, or. A Judge’s Order.

You can file for indigent depending on your income and bills. Always check into that.
