      It's more than that. If you're accused of breaking the law and you appear in court wearing an anti-law shirt, that speaks to the likelihood that you are, in fact, a law breaker. The judge may not use it as direct evidence against you, but it leans away from your favor.

    Listening to some of these comments explains why some of you belong in court. Something my drill sergeant said to all of us, was, the nail that sticks up gets pounded back down. The judge in court is the King. You can't outsmart them. #1 realize they can put you in jail for contempt in a second. Stand up straight, don't cross your arms or put you hands in your pockets. Say yes your honor lots of times.

      @alamedvav AI lacks the ability to temper judgment with grace and mercy, when appropriate. We'd all be imprisoned sooner or later if AI were in charge of justice. Ever seen a blue-screen of death? AI's are programmed by flawed men, so their judgment would also be just as imperfect...but it would remove the whim and caprice of petty judges who get butt hurt and lack control over their emotions and personal biases.

    Is it normal for a Judge to not care that your court appointed attorney didn't submit your evidence and tell you that your lawyer will speak for you to be quiet when asking your lawyer where the evidence is. This is not justice this is not fair. The claim that these judges are impartial and unbiased is complete bs.

    • @TheLanceLawyers
      @TheLanceLawyers  Рік тому +1

      Judges, normally do their best to be fair. There are good judges and judges that need improvement. If you have an attorney, the judge will look to the attorney to speak for you. You may need to change attorneys if they are not performing well. Thanks for watching.

      They'll let it happen if you allow it and don't speak up. On appeal they'll justify it as a "strategic decision"...I've seen it hundreds of times. You have just as much right to argue your case as an attorney does! REMEMBER: it's your neck on the line and nobody elses. If the judge denies you the opportunity to argue your case or to enter evidence they have committed reversible error. You are not a little child that must be led by the hand across a busy intersection. The attorney is there to assist you, not to be your replacement...speak up if they arent representing your interest vigorously.

    The court belongs to the people...judges should remember, and perhaps be reminded, they are merely the current custodian charged with the fiduciary duty of discharging the judicial function. The court existed long before the judges great-great-grandfather drew his first breath, and the court will be here long after the bones of the judges great-great-grandchildren turn to powder. The halls of justice belong to society, not to petulant personalities in black robes who esteem themselves more highly they ought!

  • @judyturner2550

    A judge should be someone who's ethics are beyond reproach. If not, they fall short of being qualified to judge others. Some positions require this and being a judge is one.

    Hello Attorney Lance ,
    I’m a Muslim Afghan American and I have a DV case , on September 12th my son called the police , he was standing up for me to help me from his dad and his grandpa , husband was having verbal abuse argument with me and my son and he was constantly blaming everything on me . Then he called his dad , his dad come over the house and hit me grab me and choke me when my husband was trying to get him off of me and his grandpa come to straight my son and to called the juvenile on my son. When his grandpa put his hands on me my son got out of his room and said get your hands off my mom . When the cops arrived I was scared and frightened I was afraid for my life and my kids. I was still p protecting my family , I didn’t tell the cops the truth. When I file the DV and now the police report is making my case hard, because the judge won’t believe me now. What is it should I do? I really need protection, I also have audio recordings my son is saying why grandpa hit my mom , and how his grandpa come in and hit me got physical with me. What should I do now ? Please advise, I don’t want the DV to drop, I have court hearing on November 13 , what should I do ?
