    1. What to bring from home? Bring sunscreen from home. Don’t buy in Thailand.
    2. Where can you get a sim card? We use True. Get it at the airport or at a mini-market like 7-Eleven.
    3. What to do when renting a motorbike or a car in Thailand?
    4. What clothes to bring to Thailand? Travel light.
    5. How to use ATM’s in Thailand? Keep in mind, you usually pay per transaction.
    6. Treat yourself to a haircut or a massage.
    7. Where to get great and affordable Thai food? Night markets!
    8. Bringing souvernirs from Thailand? Count on it :) So leave room in your suitcase.
    9. Where to book tours in Thailand? Ask your hotel or do it at one of the many shops. We don’t do it online. Especially for sightseeing tours.
    10. What is the dress code in Thai temples? Get elephant pants and always bring them with you.
    11. Where can you do your laundry in Thailand? Always pick a place that charges per kilo. You can find them anywhere on the street. Hotels usually charge per piece, which is more expensive.
    12. How to treat sunburns? We buy this cheap but very good aloë vera gel in the mini-market. It’s so easy to bring and great for your skin after a day at the beach.
    13. Do you need to bring medical supplies? Can you find pharmacies in Thailand? In our experience, we always could find what we were looking for. And many times you don’t need a prescription.
    14. What if you don’t like spicy food? No worries. There are many options for non-spicy eaters. But if you want to try something with a bit of chili, make sure to have your milk ready in case it’s too hot. It really helps a lot better than water.
    15. Download the Grab app on your phone. It works like Uber and is so practical in Thailand. The prices are usually not much different from a taxi.
    16. Do you need travel vaccinations for Thailand? Ask your Municipal Health Service or your doctor (or GP) what shots you need. Don’t wait too long. Some of them need a second shot.
