Have had trouble using them under all jacks due to not enough clearance. Raised the struts 2 holes, we will see how that works. Auto leveled in the gravel and everything worked fine.

I would have flipped those bolts around to place the nuts on the outside to make the initial torque and periodic retorque a little easier. Also, in my former life as a nuclear mechanic and plant inspector, we always used a thread lubricant on both the threads and on the nut / washer interface in order to achieve an accurate torque. We would also retorque after one hour because the bolt would “relax” a little. Not as critical on an RV as in a nuke plant, but a habit I got into.

Great job completing the snap pad install. I bet most don't look at the instructions. Now, on the 7" recommendation, not sure where that came from, but I attended Lippert training as well as RV leveling systems training and the rule of thumb is to run a string from the rear tire at ground level to the lowest point on the rear of the RV. There should be nothing below that line when the leveling system (electric or hydraulic) is in its retracted state. Same goes true from the ground level of the front tire to the lowest point in front of the RV.

Great work as always! I'm not a fan of most of the stuff hanging on the bottom of rigs, it's almost as it the factory wants you to have stuff down there so low you're guaranteed to break! Seems they could do a better job of getting things out of the way, it's as it you can't even drive over a speed hump without taking out a generator exhaust muffler pipe or a jack etc. Again nice work!

  • @garyharms8466

From the install manual you need to run a string from the bottom of the tire to the lowest point on the rear of the trailer and install the jack so the pad is higher than the string. If that is not possible then you need a minimum of 7" clearance.
I cant post a link here but you can google "ground control 3.0 oem installation manual" the PDF is on the support.lci web page.

Something that needs to be considered when moving jacks up is if you ever need to manually crank the jack (if motor or controller ever fail), you loose space access to manual crank port at the top of the jack. Since I too carry and impact gun, if I ever have a stuck jack I would just remove it from the mount until it was repaired.

  • @RadDadisRad

2 ways to adjust these super easily. Tools you’ll need depending on fastening hardware. I lowered leveler then manually powered it to extend it up, used a spud wrench on either side to chase the holes to make putting the bolts in easier. Also if don’t want to manually power the jack you can use a hand crank scissor jack.

The turnoff from pavement to the dirt entrance of the free camp area had a drop down of more than 8" I went easy and slow and it was no problem to get through it. Just not working at all? Not sure why. The jacks will only believe the ground is a little further away.. you may have raised them too high perhaps. There are TONS of good LCI videos showing how to reset the system or get it corrected.
